Outstanding southern rock. Really like the feel of “things goin on” reminds me of my favorite zeppelin song “boogie with Stu” with the honky tonk style piano. The north Mississippi hill country blues feel to “Mississippi kid” drew me in As well. Not to mention the huge number of famous hit songs.

Classic electronic industrial peaks and valleys of thick textured sounds and stripped down rhythm. Thank you Trent
Supertramp is not my cup o tea
Would not have normally picked this one. Great harmonies and neat to realize they sing California dreamin’
I am probably missing something and hopefully someone will fill me in. Seemed like gun culture, fear and misogyny were the main themes
Another album that I would not have sought out on my own. Might never go back to it, but was worth a listen
I know it is a good band/album but also not my thing
Wild, never heard of this one. Seems like it would go well between my Cramps and the Dead. Thanks for this rambling gem
A truly great Christmas album!
Standard 90s feel, makes me wanna play rock and
A little punk a little ska a little Roma with a melody here and there with the smallest touch of surf rock feel. Interesting
Mostly liked the UK ska sound, theme seemed to be lacking
Big voice but smooth jazz vocals are not my thing
The guitar that keeps on going
Not a huge pop Beatles fan but this was a great album. Especially liked I want you (she’s so heavy)!
A Few songs I liked but had a hard time at the end there
Very mellow
Meg is one of my favorite drummers and I can never get enough of Jack White
Classic coffee house sound
It Takes More and Danger really stand out for me. Sober straight look at things with nice beats and slight off expectations lyrics and musical accompaniments
One of my favorite end to end albums hands-down
I am sure it is a good album but I could not get into it
I need to look up art rock now! I had heard Life’s A Beach and glad I found it again here. Great album listened to it twice in a row. Light bouncy off beat fun percussion. Love it
Very endearing
My favorite band favorite album. Oddly still love boogie with Stu the best
Not my normal listen but was interesting
High end of 3 stars, rounding up 😊
Would not seek this one out but it was not bad
Love Bowie but not my favorite album
Couple good songs, some good music but not the best album as a whole
Forgot how good this album was, brings me back to high school when I listen to lots of 60-70s rock
Reminds me of reverend Payton’s voice sung like Marylin Manson over a noisy version of Pixies guitar and splash of the Cramps. My kind of noise
Not a huge new wave listener but Listen was an interesting track
I am a sucker for harmonizing
A truly wonderful voice, not sure if this is country, easy listening or world music. Glad I listened but not my thing
Really grew on me smooth easy listening style
Not a bad song on the album
Never heard this one. Some great tracks and some odd
Not my normal rotation but a solid album
Not my normal rotation but a solid album
I love Sam Cooke’s music, seemed rushed at the beginning of this live performance but it evened out nicely and the grit of the live part of it was endearing
A favorite around Halloween
On first listen I was using EarPods and thought it was almost good but kinda flat. It was not till I drove home and felt the bass cords from the car stereo that I realized there was more to this album
Lots of big hits, seems like a pivotal album but not my thing
Didn’t know what to expect but really liked it
I want hear seven seas of rhye with banjo. This album really grew on me as I listened, I think I need to give it another go and see what comes out in future passes
Great music, points out inequality, but I am not a huge fan of the promotion of violence especially disrespect of women. I am torn on rating
I used to love this album but over time I think I just really liked a few songs. Still good.
Don’t think Bee Gees are my thing but the album did grow on me a bit

Sleepy? Mood
It might have come before? but reminds me of Bell and Sebastian. Nice but very mello. Maybe my next Sunday morning listen
Solid album, but did feel a little repetitive at some points
I was biased against cold play going in but it was a good album
A truly wonderful album start to finish. Good energy with tiring you out
Amazing voice, love the songs with blues styling
This was formative album for me. It stands on its own but I also appreciate it since it got me curious about other blues and New Orleans influenced music. What a generational icon for the Philly area too
Very creative, amazing flow, not my style
Used to be a huge fan, and they are good but not feeling this album the same as before 2.7 stars?
Grew on me a little
This album opens strong and closes strong for me. Few ups and downs in between but a wonderful album
Never heard of them but not bad
Love Beck, great album but not my favorite of his either!
This was a treat, had not heard this band/album and it confirms I really do like psychedelic and pre punk rock
Love James Brown, not my favorite album
Classic
Powerful opening, big sad middle, and good last song
Growing up in 90s music I am surprised I had not heard this. Good album and a hidden gem
Great album but not as relevant to me these days
This one grew on me, needed right time to listen. Calm evening. Not sure if I hear lounge singer British G-Love or bouncy clear mellow punk.
If Radiohead was Icelandic audio taffy pulled long and slow. A little dark but open and hopeful like a good Christmas album
Listened to this on record with my parents 30yrs ago very sweet album with some sad undertones
Style is solid and thick from the first song to the last, love this album!
Love Tom Waits but really struggling with this album. Finally got to Big Joe and Phantom 309 and dig that one a little more
Great album not my jam. Oddly goes well with MIA
Better than I expected
Was not sure if this was hard rock or synth pop depending on the song

Not my favorite Elvis, couple good ones in the middle. Most of it made me want to hear Roy Orbison
Rough message rough time great sound
It grew on me. Especially liked Essex Dogs
Great sound a little repetitive
Wonderful gem
Title song is amazing rock storytelling. But the rest didn’t resonate with me
It grew on me, hard to start
That album seems like a prototype for so much that came after

The calm I needed this week
Great album much respect for “the boss” but also not exactly my style
Decent instrumental track interrupted by bad French ASMR?
Not my style but very influential
Some eerie magic in Lana’s style
Amazing voice
Amazing voice
Sounds a bit like the Pixies…. Googles, ah that’s why, cool
One sexy album
A powerful farewell from an amazing musician.
Moody and British
I have recollection of listening to this on either my dad’s record player or CD player.
Epic album for me
This album is so much more than the one song that got air time in the 90s
Not sure what to make of this one
Not sure what to make of this one
Do I detect some soul vibes
I had no idea what genre was playing and that was actually pretty fun
Fun and oddball gem
Odd and artsy
Love the music, I don’t resonate with the voice. Sorry PG, you are amazing even if I only throw a 2 star review out there
Impressive casual punk styling
Epic song
I really liked this and had not heard it before
Now I know where Will Smith borrowed his music from. Some of the remixes were fun too
First time I listened to this one, had to listen a 2nd time thru to get some of the analogies in the title song especially. Was genuinely fun
Pivotal album amazing dancer, rough history and also not my fav
Pivotal album at a formative time of my youth
I want to like the Smiths more than I do
Awesome noise, rough message

Fast and bulbous vacillating oddness. Greatly grating occasionally endearing
Really liked the energy
Really liked the energy
A true banger of hard rock
Will not be normal rotation but gotta share respect here
Ambient noises of unattended kitchen appliances? Makes me miss Dummy
Makes me want to watch “how I meet your mother “
Had not heard this group, on the whole a nice surprise
Great noise
Seemed like a replay of things that had been done better by blues men before him or better by Bob Marley. Who knows maybe my time line is wrong
Definition of far out
Afrobeat with a little NOLA and ska sound in there? Love it
Love Stevie, but not this one
One of the best albums start to finish. Strong continuity and great folk rock sound!
Undeniably talent, not my normal listen
Beats and rimes that are near to my hear
Pivotal album for me personally
Sounds like someone strangling a goat made entirely of latex balloons, broken bag pipes and abstract noise. I am intrigued and also don’t want to listen all at the same time
Nice soulful brass was a great surprise Especially “The teams that meet in caffs”
Brainstorm and reprise, ones without vocals, I liked
Really grew on me as I listened
Epic
Incredibly creative
Fucking awesome. Why have I never heard this?
Solid rock
Love stir it up and this is a great album but not my favorite Bain Marley
Forgot how freaking good De La is. Listened to more Tribe growing up so fun to hear Q-tip on this with jungle brothers too!
Almost really good
Some great tracks on this one and I had not heard them. These are the gems I keep listening for
I am loving “Can’t let go”
This one surprised me and I think it needs another listen
While I really didn’t need to listen to most of the album I was rewarded with the last song “Chauffeur” possibly my favorite song of theirs. I know it is a pivotal album but not really my style and the last song really saved it for me
Pleasantly surprised. Great soul feeling to this one
Definitely need another listen to this band. Wild!
