Reviews (page 7 of 7)

This album just sort of washes along past me.

beautiful voice, but this does nothing for me.

Just okay.

I did not hate this which is something as this is not a genre I've enjoyed on this project at all Can't imagine ever seeking anything out to listen to again but had its moments Not enough for a 3 but a high 2

It was bossa nova from the early 2000s. It wasn’t bad, but it was just kind of there. Not sure what would make any bossa nova record “essential” other than some cool patina of age. A past era where I can’t remember the hipness. Anyway, this wasn’t it.

Fine, sounds like Brazilian lounge music

Something about bossa nova bores me pretty badly. I perpetually hear “The Girl from Ipanema”, which isn’t an entirely bad thing - just not compelling. However, I can appreciate the magic that exists in this album. The grooves are certainly a vibe and her silky smooth vocals make for a pleasant ambiance.

Album #9 - 2/5 I read a different review that called this "waiting room music," which felt accurate. I'm sure it's largely my own a lack of understanding & appreciation of the genre(s), but this album just wasn't for me. Not bad, but not something I would revisit.

Why not

My western imperialist music taste is showing. Samba all just sounds the same to me. This album has a mellow, chilling by the beach feel - perfect for an after party or having a mojito while on holiday. Is it good? Probably. Did I need to hear it? Maybe. Will I listen to it again? Nope. Best Tracks: Samba de Bencao; August Day Song; So Nice (Summer Samba)

Can't find the album on Spotify but nice voice.

It was fine. Something I might play in the kitchen while cooking to zone out to. Otherwise no real pull to listen to again.

Only half of the album was on Spotify. Not a problem, I'll listen to what's available and if I like it, I'll seek out the rest on YouTube. I didn't have to seek out the rest on YouTube. As far as background lobby music goes, it's pleasant enough. Easy listening, chilled out Ibiza vibes. I've probably heard this many times in dentist waiting rooms over the years and don't actually realise. I didn't bother trying to find the other half of the album as it was all very similar to begin with and didn't think I would be missing out on anything special.

I thought this record was interesting, but a bit repetitive. Not really my cup of tea for the most part but some sections were fun. I particularly liked Bananeira. Overall, I think I'll give it a 2

This was WAY less interesting than I thought it might be from the title / album artwork. Never judge a vinyl by it's cover I suppose.

2nd floor, hardware, children's wear, lady's lingerie Oh, good morning Mr. Tyler, going down? Lovina the elevator music? No not really, thanks for asking.

Pretty relaxing

Did not need to hear before death. Just some lobby or bar ass music

Feels like elevator music

weirdly good for being stuck on the tarmac, but overall not for me

It's fine, but not particularly remarkable. Inoffensive.

620 albums in and I'm starting to fatigue....

Not really my type of music. I can enjoy samba every now and then but I don't think I would ever listen to an entire album of it again, yknow? The Vibe: The type of thing you want to listen to while paragliding over Rio de Janeiro

Skipping this lol. Listened to a few songs and found it to be literal elevator music like what we modeled elevator effort off of. So good but nothing special.

Only the song would come up on YouTube, so I listened to that. It was OK nothing to write home about.

This album was a welcome relief from the previous album, so I'm being generous, 2 Stars! Not sure why I NEEDED to hear this before I die; I feel like I hear it every time I step in a shopping center elevator!

Hooboy... Do I need to hear this? Nepo-baby makes boring music that sounds almost no different than her boring father's. Not for me.

It sounded fine, just nothing jumped out at me.

Really easy listen. Not my sort of thing tho. Probably wouldn't listen again

Non offensive but boring

Är inte så jazzig av mig.

Interesting bossa nova type sound

I will admit, when I read "samba" and "jazz" as genres for this album, I was definitely expecting something a lot more uptempo and with Latin flair. This album leans a bit more ambient and the samba and jazz influences aren't nearly as prominent. There was nothing wrong with this album, but the "must hear before you die" aspect came into question for me for sure. It was okay, but definitely not that good. A high 2.-something; it kind of just faded into the background for me.

Thoroughly inoffensive. But not for me.

Ihan passelia taustamusiikkia kahvilaan.

Not bad. But not very interesting. Don't expect to listen again.

Pretty vocals, but bossanova reminds me of elevator music. It's not terrible to listen to during work, but it's not immensely interesting.

Pretty in a boring way.

Fine enough, I guess

Gear: DCA ÆON 2 Noire Artwork: 😐 Mix: 😐 Musik: 😐 Wertung: 😐😐/5

In small doses I like this, but as an album it is more than I need. It probably deserves better but for me it is 2 stars or D+.

Dinner music.

Tsekkaa August Day Song.

pretty, but mom music. she also goes out of key sometimes? kinda weird. dnf

Trist att säga. Men det här är tråkig musik. Jag är väl tråkig.

Lounge music isn't really my thing. The singer has a nice enough voice, I guess, but to my ears it's an album filled with The Girl From Ipanema, and that ain't it.

Pretty fucking annoying doctor's office muzak

Light, cool, easy, smoothe, and generally too sleepy for my listening tastes.

Just okay background music, probably not setbreak music. Not terrible but not one I'd seek out or probably ever play again

This was not for me. Was not feeling the vibe.

eh, it's servicable. not something i would go out of my way to listen to though. it's nice and progressive and sambaish. 2.5

Not bad but I don’t really like foreign music. Nate probably liked it because he’s cultured and shit.

It was alright

It didn’t do anything for me.

Offensively inoffensive. Annoyingly ignorable. Listen, if I wanted a Brazilian soft jazz album... oh, wait. That will never happen. It's not actively bad. But that's only because it's not actively ANYTHING. It's just background noise.

Boring

Nicht meine Richtung

Precioso, claro. Qué rollo, bananera bananera, bananera, qué rollo de disco, bananera bananera.

Not on Spotify but what I could find on YouTube was p cool

sleepy gilberto

I’m with Jake. Wasn’t in the mood for this one.

Fine. I wasn't in the mood for Portuguese Sambah today or maybe ever?

It was very nice, but completely forgettable. Like elevator music

There is a tedium glaze that descends when listening to Bossanova, a little goes a long way; with that in mind the best (and most sampled in years to follow) song is the first song. Added: Samba Da Bencao

Not really my thing.

South American lounge music isn't too bad. She has a nice voice. Not my cup of tea

“One of the most sampled albums of 2000” doesn’t feel like a big reason to include this disc on this list. Still, it’s a shame about the producer dying of smoke inhalation to prevent the preliminary tapes from burning up in a fire.

Beautiful voice and not my vibe. Bookstore or cafe music.

Like a less catchy Sade

A few of the songs were missing. I wasn't too disappointed though as it wasn't a particularly interesting album anyway

But I didn’t like the songs because of the irregular beats and the faint singing style 2/3***

It was perfectly fine. Felt like background music, though. I don't know Portuguese.

Not awful...just not my cup of tea.

p858. 2000. 2 stars. Brazilian Sade for the new millennium. Bland background music for Ibiza hipster bars.

Lonely är en helt bra låt.

Extremely boring - don't quite think I needed to hear this one.

This was a hard record for me to focus on long enough to get through. I am really not a fan of bossa nova music, as I feel that it all sounds like elevator music or call centre hold music. That's not to say that the music is bad, it's just horribly bland to me. There is also the language barrier, where I can't even be enticed to listen by the lyrics. Overall, super bland. Not my kind of music at all. Favourite songs: Bananeira, Close Your Eyes, August Day Song, Sem Contencao Least favourite songs: Mais Feliz, Alguem 2/5

While this is a very well made, and terrifically performed record, the frequency in which I listen to bossa nova records is so miniscule that I will certainly forget this album well before the next time I get the itch.

Good voice and production. But I can only listen to this stuff for so long before it just sounds like a lounge act to me. It all just melded together as far as I could discern. There's a time and place for this, and this list isn't it.

Not my scene, kinda boring.

Chill, but couldn't get through the whole album. 2/5

I was excited about this at first but it really got boring to listen to.

Never heard of this artist before - seems like it was trying to encapsulate the bossa movement of the 60s that getz-gilberto, jobin, etc were popularizing in the Americas. Overall, enjoyed this breezy album. Liked August Day song and a few others but wouldnt have this as a required listening.

It's fine, but there are 1001 more accomplished and interesting singers and records from Brazilian artists than this one.

Felt fairly uninspiring, nice enough to listen to but found myself wanting to skip songs, will give it another listen as may have been in the wrong frame of mind for the genre

1. zamba de bancao - 1.5 2. auguzt day zong - 1.5 3. tanto tempo - 1 4. zem contencao - 0 5. maiz feliz - 1 6. alguem - 0 7. zo nice - 1 8. lonely - 1 9. bananeira - 0 10. zamba e amor - 1.5 11. cloze your eyez - 0

I can’t say I’m too familiar with bossanova as a genre, but this isn’t bad at all. Not really my thing in general though. Favorite song: Tanto Tempo (1st one?). 4/10

This was relatively pleasant to listen to, but almost instantly forgettable. Very hard to find the full version of the album too. It doesn't seem to be on Tidal at all, and Spotify has several songs as "unavailable".

The singing is good and the vibes are good on this one. It's just too mellow for me. I feel like this would be good music to study to or play in the background at a fancy black tie party. But when I actively listen to it I just grow bored.

I would not be mad if this played in the waiting room of my dentist office

Smooth jazzy advertising music; makes me want to shampoo and have posh ice cream.

Nice but dull

This sounds like being fed an early dinner then spending the night in your bedroom because your parents have friends round for dinner

Blissed out brasilian vibes, but I am not sure when I would ever choose to listen to any of this

This is honestly feels like mid coffee shop music.

more Brazilian stuff on this list than i expected. this one is fairly similar to the others and i would have a job separating them.

Smells of dog food

Not clear why this album is included in the list. It is rather generic but very well-made background music, nice enough to get 3 stars, but somewhat ruined by the songs (partially) sung in English.

Bon.

Totally fine, sounds like every other bossa nova song/album I’ve ever heard, but nothing to come back to particularly.

Precioso, claro. Qué rollo, bananera bananera, bananera, qué rollo de disco, bananera bananera.

Bebel has pedigree being the daughter of Joao Gilberto and step-daughter of Astrud Gilberto (who I think was better). She sings in the typical languid bossa nova style. So nice is the best song on the album and deservedly, her most famous. There’s nothing too offensive here, but it’s also lacking in passion, so overall this album is a bit too somnolent for me.

Nepotism on the list. Unfortunately, while Ms. Gilberto benefited from her father's connections, it does not translate to a memorable album. With a weak voice and uninteresting lyrics (for the English ones, others who speak Portuguese can judge on the others). This album is remarkable only in that she has made a lifeless samba record. Not even silky enough to be good background music.

She has a lovely voice and it was a very soothing listen but very elevator music-y and nothing particularly memorable

Nice voice but I felt like I was in a chain shopping center or mall.

This naturally wasn’t my favourite because I was unable to connect with it because it was a different language and all that but I thought that it was pretty and short.

I'm finding I can work well to this music... Yet I'm not going to be putting this on for active listening. I feel like I'm listening to a super-extended version of Girl From Ipanema - not necessarily a bad thing, just the mood. Soundtrack music? Feels like a lazy way out of describing it but while listening I'm not *really* listening, I feel like I should be watching some mid70s movie scene of a car with the top down and gently rolling across the Spanish coast, all the while not a lot is happening. Which sounds great... I just can't fully connect with it on an active level. 5/10 2.49 stars.

Mail Felix was a soft vocal that was soothing as soft rain through a window.

I have no connection to this. It's like she's a different species. Samba E Amor

I guess it's OK background music material, but seriously: I fail to see the point of including this album in this list. What's so special about it?

As much as I enjoy listening to albums from other cultures/languages, this one didn't do much for me at all. Felt too contemporary, like a Spanish-speaking version of some existing singer. Kind of just generic jazz vocal stuff. Can't say it was bad, but doesn't feel at all essential. What's the takeaway here? Apparently she's the nepo baby of Joao Gilberto, maybe that's why they felt compelled to put this on the list. Eh. Favorite tracks: Tanto Tempo, Samba e Amor. Album art: Woman's face, stencil outline or something. About as devoid of character as the music. 2.5/5

Kinda blended into the background no matter how hard I tried to concentrate on it. 2.5/5

Not a lot that appealed to me but a relaxing listen!

Idk what genre of music this is but it’s not doing it for me

Niks aparts, matig

Pretty basic honestly. Kinda boring

This music brings me back to Barcelona or even Paris. Great background music but I don’t think I’ll be listening much in my every day life but that’s alright. This gave me a little mini vacation if only in my mind. Just light, breezy, chillin’, goodness.

Spanish Jazz album, not a massive fan of the beats. Reminded me of elevator music.

Very pleasant background, but nothing stuck out.

Beautiful voice but found the album boring overall. I could imagine this playing in the hotel lobby or restaurant of a resort. It's pleasantly inoffensive but nothing I'd ever seek out.

Smooth but I don't like non-English songs.

Not even sure how to class this? It put me in mind of the music I’d be forced to listen to on a cruise liner each night. Inoffensive, but dull. Not for me.

Listened Before? N While I really like the Bossa Nova sound here, the lack of english always gets me. I see why it's here, but it's not for me. Added to Library? N Songs added to playlist: Samba Da Benacao

Waiting room music

Beautiful voice Very easy background music Forgetable

Akustisk nylon, spania, hvite vinduer og sangria.

This kind of stuff always makes me feel like I'm in a lounge in the '60s, and I keep looking for Austin Powers but he never shows up. Very disappointing.

Yeah, this is really not my thing, even for background music while I'm doing other things.

Unbeliberly boring

It’s fine. I’m not into it at all, but it’s fine.

Underwhelming bosanova lite

Not really my cup of tea.

Bossa Nova with electronic instrumentation. Nicely done, but Bossa just isn't for me. 2/5

Aika paskaa. Yksikään biisi ei koskettanut.

Favourite song: Bananiera One for the karaoke: Bananiera One for the car: Bananiera Around 2 minutes 18 seconds in to the 2nd song, for a short while, it clicked for me and I could understand Portuguese. Happened on and off throughout the album and I cannot explain it. Like - I know the title of the song translates to August Day Song, but how? Also - Bananeira. Enough said.

Nothing but chill latin sounds. Every song sounded the same to me. Good if you're looking for that type of vibe, but nothing I would seek regularly. 1.5/5

It was ok. Brazilian samba, bossa nova etc. trying to emulate and indeed covering Sergio Mendez, but not as good imho.

Too cheesy for me

Suprisingly annoying. Though there is a mixture of portuguese and english language tracks, the lyrics are so simple and repetitve, that they quickly become irritating... feeling like they are one note songs with a single repeating word. By the time i hit bananeira... i was ready for it to be over.

I don't speak Spanish. Nothing really grabbed me here. Music was just ok.

Not bad, but a bit slow.

pleasant enough

Took me a while to get through this album. It's a style of music that I'm not used to. At first I didn't like it, but it slowly grew on me. I might listen to it again. Favourite track: "Bananeira"

Great example of an album that is very good music of a style I'm not interested in. Having said that, there were a couple I'd love to hear on a bar's roof terrace on a sunny day, not a care in the world, specifically August Day Song and Samba E Amor. Pleasant.

This is a bit dull tbh. Slightly elevated lift music. Not unpleasant to have on in the background, but it didn't grip me at all. 2/5.

Typical easy listening bossa nova vocal jazz for the cocktail lounge. Cozy and warm, but also boring, without any edge

Not sure I actually found the album. But listened to a variety of songs.

Neither here nor there. A dead-on 2.5/5. Would round up to 3, but it kinda gives me the shits when I don't have a clue what the lyrics are communicating. Lyrics ARE important. That, and the chord changes which are intended to sound elegant are overused here past the point of cliche.

kind of lounge music sounding.

Not really my thing but not bad.

Coffee shop dribble

Best described as Spanish Jazz. Nothing about it was memorable.

Nah, not a fan. Not that there is anything wrong with it for background music, but this is not something I would ever listen to again. 2

Lovely latin tone... But not on my play again list

Insipid nonsense

Not for me but not the worst

I usually like Brazilian music but this passed me by. I even put it on a 2nd time as only half the tracks are on Spotify, and I still didn't really notice it

Another token album for this US-centric list, how man versions of “so Nice” are on the list?

This album would never normally get picked up by my radar. When she gets her groove on it's good. But it's not really my bag.

Another one of those albums that seems made intentionally to be played in business hotels. By no means is it bad, but that's kinda my point: beyond saying "well it's a bit bland I guess", there is nothing in it a travelling businessman could complain about. Is the sound abrasive in any way? nope. Is there any kind of dynamic range that might jolt a drunken conference attendee out of a stupor? nope. Are the lyrics going to piss conservatives off? On the off chance that they understand Portugese, probably not - and the English tracks are as tame as it gets. Talk about a masterclass in mediocrity. 2/5.

Mellow background, nothing special for me.

Nice album however the whole Bossa Nova genre is a bit too slow and monotonous for me

Bossa nova with the occasional hip-hop backbeat. It’s just ok.

Fine bossanova - not my scene.

V I B E S

eee forgettable, moze za 50 lat

Smooth and jazzy yet highly repetitive. The first three tracks are fairly decent, but then a sudden drop in quality for the rest of the album (except "So Nice" which gives me Evangelion vibes). Wouldn't mind listening to this in an elevator... just not the whole thing.

Have never really been able to get into Bossa Nova, especially in comparison to the other amazing music coming out of Brazil. It always just fades into the background no matter if you're trying to listen or not. It's the music equivalent of a boring football (soccer) game--nice but pretty hard to pay attention to the whole time.

august day song - een ervaring

With Bebel's suave and smooth voice, intimate delivery and jazzy instrumentals, there certainly is a lot to enjoy.... be it as background music somewhere in a bar in Latin America. That does not mean its awful, it's just not something I would ever actively listen to again. 2/5.

French coffee house music

Pleasant to listen to, but was about to put me to sleep

Not abrasive, but a bit boring. 6.7/10

Basically just background noise.

Half the album missing

Bossanova

enjoyable but it's not my thing. i guess you have to be in the mood for some chill bossa nova

ok album. Good for a change of pace.

för tråkigt för mig.

2000: Samba da Bencao, So Nice (Summer Samba)

lounge-y, jazzy, bossa nova, however indistinct, commits the worst act which is that it's generally boring unfortunately

Snooze, lacks the aura that older Bossanova has. DNF

Spa music.

The musical equivalent to a washing machine

DO NOT waste your time.

well, if that's not the soundtrack to boring lazy rich kids beach parties. boring.

Just not a genre I enjoy at all.

Nothing here was designed for me, and that's okay, not everything has to be aimed at me. I don't like the music, I understand very few of the lyrics. It's a lazy, lay around in the sun type of record. Nothing here is bad, it just isn't made for me.

Did not enjoy. I’m not a fan of Bossa Nova.

Why is this special? It’s the dead of winter right now and the last thing I want to hear is samba music

With this we drive far away from my taste. Surely ambient but I can't relax or work to sound like that.

Oooo, this is not my speed at all. Coffeehouse mellow cabaret jazz in…Portuguese? I hate this. 1/5

It's not bad, but has my life been enhanced in any way by listening to it? I'd have to say no.

Hard pass

It's really not my thing. Respect for the album though.

Genuine waste of my time.

*2000. Brazilian jazz. *Sounded like music you'd hear on a night out in Cuba. *Fun, but you have to listen in a specific atmosphere, not driving to/from work... RATING - 4/10

Simply a boring Bossa Nova A album.

Easy listening foreign-language music Not my thing at all

This album is quite hard to find on Spotify and YouTube for some reason, but I managed. By my rules I have to listen to every track on an album, and a handful were missing, which I had to hunt down elsewhere. Honestly I wish I hadn't bothered. I hate this. The softness of samba over trip-hop backing, things I detest. I know that I (and listeners in general) compain that there is too much Britpop, for example, on this list, but I really think there is too much Brazilian samba also. I was sick of this halfway through the first track. I see that tracks from this and the elder Gilberto are used on the soundtrack of Eat Pray Love, which is the saccharine spiritual home they deserve. Vomit-inducing, made me want to rip my ears off.

Did not understand. Did not like.

The torture continues with what appears to be a BOSSA NOVA album from the year of our lord 2000. I wish I could capitalize years for emphasis. This genre needed to be left in the 60s with this singer’s father. Whatever. Here we go again. Samba Da Bencao - Gentle and boring. Music to play in an overpriced cafe, as a dog whistle to those in the know that they are being absolutely rinsed for the lousy coffee and microwaveable pastries. August Day Song - Hey! It’s a day on August!!! What a fortuitous circumstance. The last of its kind, as this song felt like being lost in a shuttered department store, where the mannequins are alive and want to teach you about interest rates. I am so bored. Tanto Tempo - The boy from Chimpanzeema. I think we all remember THAT Olympics!! Luge will never be the same. Sem Contencao - *SNOOOORE* *mee mee mee mee mee* *SNOOOORE* *mee mee mee mee mee* Mais Feliz - Celebratory Corn song. Presumably. My Portuguese is rusty. Alguem - How I pronounce “album” after listening to 4 straight albums with an average rating of 1.5. My brain is mush. This album is so dreadfully dull. My brain is melting. So Nice (Summer Samba) - The song was called “So Nice” so they named it twice, because it’s a bad name. Lonely - You deserve to be lonely because this is your musical output. Bananeira - This is the song everybody was freaking out about on the RYM. It has a pulse, which is better than we can say about the preceding 8 patients who were DOA after the horrible samba incident at SambaFest 2012. After literally 20 seconds, this is another goner. Samba E Amor - UGHHHHHHHHHH Close Your Eyes - Ok. Deal. ZZZZZZZZZZZ HONK-SHOOOOOO HONK-SHOOOO 0 HIGHLIGHTS: Restful slumber. Finally.

A real snoozer

1 - So bland

I'm sorry, an album not in English is not something I need to listen to before I die. If I don't understand it, I'm supposed to just listen to the music? I don't think so

found it mildly aggravating

This is a pointless reworking of Gilberto compositions by her daughter. All spirit of the original has been lost.

Another pointless inclusion on this weird list.

Nope, way too jazzy.

???? Speaking English may have helped.

Boring.

Good music to drive you to suicide

I cannot get into samba or Bossa nova or whatever this is. Beautiful voice, though.

It’s okay, I guess. It didn't make me feel anything but it’s nice enough. “(Serbian Producer) Suba died from smoke inhalation while saving the newly recorded album from a studio fire.” Wait, what? What the fuck? For this fucking lobby music? Fucking hell.

Didn't enjoy it much.

Pretty boring album. I can't point out any reason this is a must listen before you die. I don't think I will even remember this one when I complete the full list. Maybe the producer dying from trying to save the album from a studio fire gets you something but should have let it burn...0.8.

maybe good as background music but I couldn't even finish it

I could have died the day before hearing this album and been ok.

Loved working to it. But so forgettable. But not bad at all. Strong 1.

No me gusto

Not for me

Discotecque blaw-zay sounding elevator muzak. Nah, I'll pass... I'll let it spin tho...

Not my thing

More muzak -- nope to this one

She has a nice enough voice, but this is one of the most uninteresting pieces of music I’ve ever heard. Music is supposed to make you feel something, and all this album made me feel was bored.

Lyttede ikke færdigt - får kvalme af Bossa..!

Elevator music.

Couldn't find it anywhere. Shame

Picture the scene: you're enjoying the warmth of the early evening Mediterranean sun. You have a view of the sea, and a mojito to sip as you contemplate life. In that context, this album is passable background music. I listened to it on a crowded commuter train in London on a frosty November day, with a child kicking me. In that context it is not what I wanted. 1 star

Ngl I skimmed through this, it’s fine for background music but not something like I’d ever choose

Not really my vibe

Thank Christ I listened to this album before I died. I truly dont know what my life would be like if i was never blessed with this groundbreaking album.

Dreadful

Not that interesting

I saw her about five years ago at Womad and it was pleasant enough, the wife nodded off and I think I went with one of the boys to get a tofu burger so you know...She did a lovely cover of Neil's Harvest Moon I do remember that. This somniferous snoozefest, this languid lounge music, who needs sleeping pills or podcasts about precipitation when you can pop Bebel on to set you adrift on memories bliss of days long gone, the days before you were stuck listening to records like this. zzzzzzzzzzzzz When I woke back up after a lovely little snooze, she was still singing so I went and read her Wiki notes and they reckon she's sold 2.5 million records. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

neat, not for me

This ain't it

I didn't dislike this album but also don't really see why it's included on this list. It just feels like very run-of-the-mill bossa nova/easy listening music. Sounds like something you'd hear in a Starbucks or an elevator. That sounds harsh but again, this isn't horrible, just unremarkable. Standout Tracks: N/A

pretty good, just a little blah for me.

Tried. Could not make it through to the end.

Good music probably but not my taste

Fuck this album. Should of left it in the fire and jibbed it right off. Not on Spotify so I had to go and find each song on YouTube and it it disconnected me from fifa. Today can fuck off. Can’t wait to hear Morrissey tomorrow because it will cheer me up.

This album honestly didn't do too much for me at all.

Another addition to the coffee shop playlist

This album was in Spanish which makes it difficult to enjoy. The singer has a good voice and felt Norah jones Esque. Overall it’s value was lost on me. 1.9/10

Relaxing music, but beyond that didn't get much out of it.

Nothing here was designed for me, and that's okay, not everything has to be aimed at me. I don't like the music, I understand very few of the lyrics. It's a lazy, lay around in the sun type of record. Nothing here is bad, it just isn't made for me.

I like foreign music, but not enough to listen to entire albums in a sitting. There are some cool grooves here, but not understanding the words leaves it feeling shallow and I feel disconnected.

Yep, dope crunchy and raw sounds.
