1001 Albums Summary

Born in the U.S.A., Cover Me, Darlington County, No Surrender, Glory Days and Dancing in the Dark. Liked it more than I thought. Not his best and not his worst. This is his least boring album so far. I’m on Fire is a dog shit song.

Mr. Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It, Somebody Told Me, On Top and Believe Me, Natalie. I’ve heard some of these before and some are good and a lot of them are bleh. Generic pop rock from the early 2000’s which technically isn’t a bad thing because it’s mostly catchy.

The Man Comes Around, Hurt, Personal Jesus, In My Life, Danny Boy, I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry (same), Tear Stained Letter and We’ll Meet Again. Classic voice. A couple eh songs. Some great covers.

Smokey River, I Have No Time, Needle of Death, Do You Hear Me Now, Running from Home, Courting Blues, Dreams of Love and Angie. Great guitar solos and beautiful voice. Nice and simple.

Okay, actually better than a lot of his stuff. I’d never pick him to listen to but I like his lyrics on this album the best. Not too boring like his other albums. Lonesome Day, Waitin’ on a Sunny Day, Empty Sky, Further Up on the Road, Mary’s Place (probably my favorite song I’ve heard by Bruce) and You’re Missing. The Rising and Paradise are shit. 7/10

Astral Weeks, Sweet Thing, Cyprus Avenue, The Way Young Lovers Do (best song), Ballerina and Slim Slow Slider. Good but boring as fuck in some places. The lyrics and vocals are good and I love the jazzy parts of the songs. Especially The Way Lovers Do.

I don’t know. Nothing was that special except for Part 4 and 5. Was ahead of its time for ambient and electronic music but nothing amazing. 5/10

Song 2, Death of a Party, Look Inside America and Strange News. I kind of hate this. It sounds like shit sound wise.

This was rough to get through. Worst than expected.

Song of Joy, Stagger Lee, Henry Lee, Lovely Creature, The Curse of Millhaven(best song), O’Malley’s Bar and Death is Not the End. Amazing lyrics. The music is creepy and chilling. 9/10

Dancing Queen, Dum Dum Diddle, Knowing Me, Knowing You, That’s Me, Tiger, Fernando and Happy Hawaii. Catchy and great vocals. Never listened to anything by ABBA but will now. 9/10

Next Girl, Tighten Up, Howlin’ For You, Black Mud, Too Afraid to Love You and I’m Not the One. Not bad. Sounds like a band trying to be The White Stripes. Last couple songs are eh. 7/10

Can’t Get Enough, Ready for Love (best song), The Way I Choose and Movin’ On. The title song sucks ass and is the worse song. The guitar and drums were the best part.

All the songs fuck. Summer Breeze is amazing. I’ve heard a lot of these songs but never knew they were by the Isley Brothers. 9/10

Very peaceful and something I could meditate with.

And It Stoned Me, Moondance (best song), Crazy Love, Caravan, Into the Mystic, Come Running, These Dreams of You, Brand New Day, Everyone and Glad Tidings. Amazing jazz throughout the songs. Great bass and flute. Love the combo of folk with jazz. A lot less boring than Astral Weeks. Shorter songs and better flow. Love it.

Safe From Harm, One Love, Be Thankful for What You’ve Got, Unfinished Sympathy and Hymn of the Big Wheel. I love the trip-hop genre. Love the British rap voices and the beats are cool as shit.

Concrete Jungle, Stir It Up, Kinky Reggae and Midnight Ravers. I think they just added different vocals to the same music. Besides the chorus of the songs I couldn’t tell you which song is which. 5/10

Having a Blast (just like me), Longview, Welcome to Paradise, Basket Case, She , Sassafras Roots and When I Come Around. This is all about wasting time and being bored. Like me listening to this album.

Life Thru A Lens, Angels, Old Before I Die, Let Me Entertain You and Clean. I didn’t have to listen to this. 5/10

Amazing. Desperate Cry is insanely good. Probably one of my favorite metal songs now. The drums and guitar fucks. I’m definitely going to check the rest of their albums out.

Alsatian Cousin, Everyday is Like Sunday, Bengali in Platforms, Angel Angel Down We Go Together, Suedehead, I Don’t Mind If You Forget Me and Dial-a-Cliche. I love Morrissey’s voice and I also love The Smiths but never heard his dolor stuff. Guitar player is great. I really enjoyed this. 9/10

Line Up, Connection, Car Song, S.O.F.T., Waking Up, Never Here. A few eh songs but otherwise I enjoyed it. 7/10

The Girl from Ipanema, If You Never Come To Me, I Concentrate On You and Baubles, Bangles and Beads. Boring but had some good songs and Sinatra’s voice is great. One of the all time greats. 5/1

I kind of hated this. Way too long and gave me a headache. Bongos are the only thing I really like. 3/10

Hanging on the Telephone, One Way or Another, Picture This, Pretty Baby, I Know But I Don’t Know, 11:59, Sunday Girl, Heart of Glass and I’m Going to Love You Too. I love Debbie Harry’s voice. Catchy as fuck and energetic. Every song is a banger. Love it.

Hey, Grandma, Mr. Blues, Fall on You, 8:05, Come in the Morning (best song), Omaha, Someday, Ain’t No Use, Sitting By the Window, Changes (also the best song), Lazy Me and Indifference. Amazing instruments and vocals. This is the god-tier decade of music. This needs to be known more and I did need to hear this. 9/10

Electricity was a stinky full diaper but I liked every thing else. Where There’s Woman is my favorite.

Interesting. Didn’t know what to expect but it’s catchy and I enjoyed it mostly. Wouldn’t go out of my way to listen to it again though.

Zurich is Stained is the best song. What diaper music. A 8 year old could make better sounds.

Alfa album. EZ 5 stars.

Usually love this era of music but pretty boring. Get to You and Old John Robertson are my favorites.

Great lyrics and vocals. Student Demonstrations Time, A Day in the Life of a Tree, Til I Die were amazing. Love this kind of music. Reminds me of the Beatles in some songs.

Starts off with 4 great songs then some filler in the middle. Longer than it should be. Songs 1-4, London Loves, Clover Over Dover and Jubilee.

I like a lot of this but a few songs aren’t for me. 40 minutes in I thought it should be almost over but had another 30 minutes left. Too many songs went on for too long. Best songs are: Heat, Dooinit, The Light, Payback is a Grandmother, Geto Heaven Part Two and A Song for Assata.

Really well made. I love jazz and never have heard about Samba-Jazz so that’s going to be something I dwell into now. 4.5/5

Great vocals. The instrumentals and a few songs are a little boring. You Ain’t the Problem, Rolling, Piano Joint, Hero, and Final Days. 7/10

I enjoyed it more than I didn’t. Some songs went on for too long and sounded the same. Stork & Owl was buttass. Crying, Red Dress and DLZ were the standout tracks for me.

The guitar sound quality on some songs sound like dookie. Quite catchy for a punk rock band. Some songs suck but some are good. Better than I was expecting. Three Girl Rhumba, Ex-Lion Tamer, The Commercial, Strange, Fragile, Mannequin and 12 X U.

Iconic cover and catchy songs. Bone Machine, Gigantic, Where is My Mind, Vamos, and I’m Amazed. I love their next album more. 9/10 If there were no Pixies, there would have been no Nirvana. Thank you for your service. 🫡

Amazing lyrics and good ass beats. There’s still too many random before and after talking or skits that I hate. One of the best 90’s rap albums. The Nigga You Love To Hate, AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, You Can’t Fade Me, Endangered Species and The Bomb. 9/10

Wir fahr'n, fahr'n, fahr'n, auf der Autobahn Autobahn and Kometenmelodie 2 are the only real songs. The other two are mainly just random noises. 7/10

One of my favorite albums of all time. I love all of it.

I was writing songs I liked and I ended up writing all of them. Super catchy and Byrne’s voice is great.

Some songs sounds just like generic alt-rocks songs that I’ve heard before. Also in half the songs it sounds like the guitar sound is up too high. Maybe just me. Design for Life, Kevin Carter (great trumpet solo), Enola/Alone, The Girl Who Wanted to be God, Australia and No Surface All Feeling. 7/10

Da Funk, Fresh, Around the World No reason for this shit to be 74 minutes. I did not have to listen to this headache inducing nonsense. Almost a 1 star but better than Limp Shitkit and worse than Pavement. Random Access Memories should have been on this list. Not this dog shit.

One of the actual hard rock albums from the 70’s I like everything from. Great instruments from everybody. A lot of naughty lyrics. 😉 Running With the Devil, You Really Got Me, I’m the One, Jamie’s Cryin’ and Ice Cream Man are top 5.

Without knowing Iggy’s sound, one would most likely find this bad, but I know the Stooges and love the sound. Sister Midnight, Funtime, China Girl, Dum Dum Boys, Tiny Girls and Mass Production. Great Saxophone by Bowie in Tiny Girls. I don’t like the synths in Baby and the only song I didn’t really like.

All the Way from Memphis is amazing. Honaloochie Boogie, Violence, I’m a Cadillac and I Wish I was Your Mother. Good pianist and bassist. A few slow places in a couple songs but very enjoyable.

Sweet Love, You Bring Me Joy (great sax solo), Caught Up in the Rapture, Been So Long, Mystery. Every song was enjoyable and really enjoyed her voice. Catchy and I could definitely listen to it again.

Rapid Fire, Metal Gods, Breaking the Law, Grinder, You Don’t Have to Be Old to be Wise, Living After Midnight and Steeler. Amazing riffs, great drumming and iconic singing by Sir Rob Halford. Amazing and Painkiller should be on this list as well. 9/10 but giving 5 stars because it’s better than other 9’s.

Swampsnake, Gang Bang, GiddyUp Ding Dong, Vambo Marble Eye. This album could not be made today. Great music. Better than I was expecting.

I love every song. This is the greatest country/folk rock album of all time. This album shouldn’t be liked by me but idc.

Every song is great. CCR is one of my favorite bands and I’ve heard this album a lot. Fogerty’s voice is iconic.

Tantos Desejos, Antropofagos, Felicidada, Um Dia Comum, Abraco, and Pecados de Madrugada. Love the Samba parts and the bongos. Feel like it went on forever and could have been a decent amount shorter. 7/10

Break & Enter, Voodoo People, Speedway, Poison, No Good. Cool flute in 3 Kilos. I liked it and some songs were awesome. Some were repetitive and this could have been 30-40 instead of 78. 7/10

Tropicalia, Alegria, Alegria, Onde Andaras, Superbacana, Paisagem Util. No idea what he’s saying but I know I like it. So peaceful in certain places and then epic at others. I liked all of this.

Roundabout, Cans and Brahms, South Side of the Sky, Long Distance Runaround, Mood for a Day and Heart of the Sunrise (best song). Amazing bass and vocals. This album would be even more perfect without Five Cents for Nothing.

I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, War on War, Jesus, Etc, Heavy Metal Drummer (best song), and I’m the Man Who Loves You. This wasn’t Trentcentric. Boring as fuck besides these songs. ^ I don’t care about this. 5/10

I Wanna Be Adored, She Bangs the Drums, Elizabeth My Dear, (Song for My) Sugar Spun Sister, Made of Stone and I Am the Resurrection (best song). It feels like the vocals are being sung from 10 feet away and I can’t understand what is being said.

Every song is great. Top songs are: Out in the Streets, I Don’t Mind, The Good’s Gone, My Generation, The Kids Are Alright (best song), It’s Not True, A Legal Matter, and The Ox. Everyone is amazing here. Alfa drums. Keith Moon is still top 3 drummers ever. The Who are amazing. Idc.

Blackened, Eye of the Beholder, One, Harvester of Sorrows, The Frayed Ends of Sanity and Dyers Eve. Amazing guitars and drums. Main complaint is the guitar riffs just all sound the same. Master of Puppets is better.

Fairest of the Seasons, These Days, Chelsea Girls, I’ll Keep it With Mine (best song) and Eulogy to Lenny Bruce (other best song). I liked it overall. Her bad voice kind of threw me off in a few songs. Great lyrics. 7/10

Ecars, Feet Music, Broadway Blues, Zig Zag and Mob Job. The last 5 songs are great but the first 10 is a cluttered piece of a trump diaper. Two sax and two drums do not sound good.

Gotta Get Up, Driving Along, Down, Without You (best song), Let The Good Times Roll, Jump Into The Fire (other best song) and I’ll Never Leave You. Alfa. Will definitely come back to it. Drums in Jump Into The Fire we’re amazing.

Water From A Vine Leaf, Into the Paradise, A Touch of the Night. First half is better. I don’t have anything to say.

I didn’t have to hear this. Good falling asleep music.

Tangled Up in Blue (probably the best song he ever made), Idiot Wind, You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go, Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts and Shelter from the Storm. Obviously great lyrics and story telling. A little slow in places. Dylan is almost too advanced for me.

Top 5 rap albums ever. Every song is a fucking banger.

Changes, Oh, You Pretty Things, Life on Mars (best song), Kooks, Fill Your Heart, Song for Bob Dylan, Queen Bitch and The Bewlay Brothers. His first real glam rock album and it fucks. Only a couple part that make me not give it 5 stars.

I’m going to marry the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Cisco Kid, Where Was You At, The World is A Ghetto (best song), Beetles In The Bog. The jazz section of the title song is amazing. 13 minute song is too long. 7/10

Green Light, Liability, Perfect Places. Best lyric “but all that stranger would see, is one girl swaying alone, stroking a cheek.” Boring as fuck. Idc. I didn’t have to hear this.

I’m a Gigolo/I Ain’t Got Nobody, Body and Soul, Oh, Marie, Jump Jive an’ Wail, Night Train, I’ll Be Glad When You’re Dead, Whistle Stop and Be Mine. Alfa jazz. Saxophone and drums kill it.

The Temples of Syrinx, Presentation, Oracle: The Dream, A Passage to Bangkok (other best) Twilight Zone and Something for Nothing (best song) Bass and drums are amazing. Both are top of all time in their categories. Tears is out of place here.

I’d Like to Know, Alright, Lenny, Strange Ones, Time, Sofa of my Lethargy and Time To Go. Instrumentals are better than the singing. I hate We’re Not Supposed To. I don’t like the cover. No don’t show me that.

12 Bar has a good sax. Little By Little has a good sax. Madam Medusa has good drums.

The instruments of Wilmot, Tow Truck, Ballad of Nicky McGuire (idc about Nicky) I was sorry to hear this.

Sledgehammer, Big Time Mercy Street is a candidate for the most boring song ever. Big Time and Sledgehammer are 4’s and the others are 1’s and 2’s.

Shining Star (best song) That’s the Way of the World, Happy Feelin’ Reasons, Africano (sax master) and See The Light. Alfa voices and flute and saxs.

37 minutes too long. I don’t know what this cover is supposed to be. Whatever it is I hate it. Too classy for me.

Best “dad rock” out there. Love jazz rock.

Lose Control, Goldfinger, Angel Interceptor and Lost in You. Generic British indie pop rock. Guitar is good in parts. Kind of annoying and didn’t like most of this but it does what it’s supposed to and is catchy.

Patiently Waiting, Many Men, In da Club, If I Can’t, Back Down, P.I.M.P. (Best song) and 21 Questions. Eminem has the best two versus. Half the songs are eh but some great ones. 50’s voice is not that great to me. The beginning of mumble rap. 🤡

Best and still bad song: Give Up (I will now after hearing this) Bad songs and bad pop. I didn’t have to hear this. I hate the music more than the cover.

Blackstar (I’m black too), Tis a Pity She Was a Whore, Lazarus (best song), Sue, Girl Loves Me, Dollar Days and I Can’t Give Everything Away. Love the jazz sounding instruments. Saved his best album for his last. He knew he was dying and it’s a great farewell. 69 years young.

Rockin’ Around, Hometown Blues, Strangered in the Night, Fooled Again (me too) and American Girl. Kind of boring and only a few songs stand out but I don’t hate it. Good length as Chadbutt would say.

Chivalry, Flitcraft, Last Dance. Better than expected. I don’t like country really at all and I dislike most punk but having both combined wasn’t the worst thing ever. Not for me.

Bring The Noise, Don’t Believe the Hype, Louder Than A Bomb, Show Em Whatcha Got, She Watch Channel Zero, Night of The Living Baseheads, Black Steel, Rebel Without A Pause (best song) and Prophets of Rage. Too many samples and Flavor Flav talks too much. Needs more of just rapping. 9/10

Top songs: Amateur Hour, Thank God It’s Not Christmas (same, Hasta Manana, Monsieur, Talent Is An Asset, Equator and Lost and Found. I enjoyed all of this. Will definitely come back to it.

Every song sounds exactly the same. This sounds like every raygay album song I’ve ever heard. Boring and too long. The bass sounds good I guess?

Route 66, I Just Want To Make Love To You, Mona, King Bee, Carol (best song), Can I Get A Witness (Hell yeah brother) and Walking the Dog. Like the early Beatles, just covers but great. A couple aren’t as in par with others but very enjoyable to me. 9/10

Hard Life, Wildfires, and Black (yeah, I’m black). Beginning was the best and it slowly got worse. Too long and too many songs.

Wake Up, Sweet Gene Vincent, I’m Partial, Clevor Trever, If I Was With a Woman and Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. Starts off well and then gets loud and annoying and then ends well. British guys should stick to this not rap.

Hells Bells, Shoot to Thrill, Givin’ the Dog a Bone, Back in Black (yeah, I’m black) and You Shook Me All Night Long. Only real complaint is most of these songs sound the same.

State of Mind, This Is a Bad (album and listening experience) Offensive length. 🗑️

All the Way, Love Less, Guilty Partner (best song), Mr. Disco, Vanishing Point and Dream Attack. I disavow the other electronic albums on this list. This is better. Non offensive length.

When I was younger I had this guy I knew that loved Radiohead. He was a trash person and had bad music taste. I want the instrumental version without the whiny vocalist.

Top 5: Blister in the Sun, Kiss Off, Promise, Gone Daddy Gone and Good Feeling. Alpha.

The Kid from Red Bank, Flight of the Foo Birds, Double-O, Fantail. Great bass, drums and sax.

Eh. Kind of boring but not the worse thing I’ve heard. I like the jazz aspect. Room 109 was an offensive length of a song.

Concrete Jungle. Instrumentals are the best part and the voice is hairable. It would be a 3 if the singer jumped off a cliff.

Gimme All Your Lovin, Got Me Under Pressure, TV Dinners, Flag Her Down. Guitar is Alfa. Legs is the only non Alfa song.

Bring da Ruckus, Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthin ya F Wit, C.R.E.A.M. and Protect Ya Neck. One of the best 90’s rap albums. Method Man and Inspector Deck are my favorites. A few dumb random skits in the earlier songs. 9/10

Intervention, The Well and the Lighthouse, Antichrist Television Blues, Windowsill and No Cars Go. Alfa organ playing and good voice. A few boring parts. 2nd half is better.

Let’s Stay Together is a disgrace to the Alfa Al Green original. Thanks O’Byron. I have a headache now hearing this.

A little better the 2nd time. Ave Gengis Khan is the best song.

Crosstown Traffic and All Along the Watchtower are Alfa. 2 dumb ambient type songs, two 13+ minute songs that should be 4 minutes long. Ez 4 if it was 40 minutes long. Size matters.

The Rover, Trampled Under Foot, Kashmir, and The Wanton Song. Some great songs and some okay songs. Alfa drumming by the Alfa John Bonham.

The length is acceptable. Dunkin’ on last 2 long albums. Might be a 4 without Timewatching. 7/10

Ez 5 Once through Jeremy. Goes downhill starting with oceans. TLDR: First half is amazing and 2nd is okay.

Better than the other noise shit albums. Better than expected. Too long. Make it 38 minutes and ez 4. Every album like this wants to be 60-70 minutes long and I disavow that.

A couple great and memorable songs and then mostly okay songs. Catchy but again too long.

The best parts were the instruments. Singers voice was bleh but I’ve heard worse. Poledo is 🗑️ Sludgefest is the best song.

Didn’t like it as much as I remember. Definitely too random noisy and experimental for me but I enjoyed parts of this.

The most average album I’ve heard here. The only song I actually disliked was Bad Liquor. The first and last song I’d say are the best. Xtra half star for not being terrible.

Alfa voice. Pretty catchy at point. A few slower songs. Does what it’s supposed to do. Lovesong is a good cover from the Alfa Cure.

A couple catchy songs but overall it’s a no from me. I wouldn’t dance to this. But I wouldn’t dance to anything. Beta length.

Every song is great besides Elgin which should have been the opening song or just removed. It’s a weird flow being in the middle of the album.

The chorus in Where Dreams Go To Die gave me goosebumps. Ez 5 star song. First half is better but I’ll check this out again soon. Ez 4.5.

Too long. All the songs sounded the same. Didn’t hate it though. Instrumentals were better than the vocals.

First half is good. The 2nd half gets more boring and less good. Great voice but there needs to be more than just that.
