The difference between Metallica and Megadeth is their methods of constructing songs. ‘Tallica have very carefully constructed songs that rise naturally and make for a really satisfying listen in the same way that a well built pop song does. Megadeth smash a load of great fucking riffs together and then spend half the song soloing over them. There are benefits to each method. I personally prefer Metallica for that itch scratching effect, but sometimes you need to listen to something that makes you want to run five miles, and kick every cop you see on the way
There's something about five-minute thrash burners; No one can accuse Megadeth of sneaking up. Rust is tighter thematically than Peace, has the same relentless forward momentum. Drum tone gets plenty of space near the end, which is a win for every genre.
I hate this kind of music. But, the playing is very precise, which isn’t easy to do at these tempos. 2.6

This is really not for me. I can recognize the considerable talent of the band members (except for maybe the vocalist), but the whole thing feels like a dick waggling contest between four men who are desperately cosplaying as masculine badasses. And the longer it went on, the more I cringed and the more I wanted it to stop. I’ve written about this before, but there is something I find so off putting about music that is trying to make you think that they are so hardcore. It feels so… dorky. Take, for example, the following lyrics from “Take No Prisoners”: “Got one chance, infiltrate them Get it right, terminate them The Panzers will, permeate them Break their pride, denigrate them.” These lyrics sound awesome if you’re in middle school. But I’m not in middle school. And neither are they.
Plain and simple. This album fucks. I'm not the biggest fan of the vocalist though it's certainly not a turn off, just minor points off. Start to finish the album rocks at 11.

Hard and fast, and Dave Mustaine's voice does work for me. Unfortunately, the songs are generally just OK... Hangar 18 and Tornado of Souls are the only tracks that stand out.. .though I also like the speed of Poison Was the Cure.

"Immense in my girth, erect I stand tall" I'm slowly realizing that I enjoy metal music a lot more than I let on (both to myself and to others). In my mind, megadeth was this death metal band with incomprehensible screams and muddled guitar riffs played over crazy time signature drums. In actuality, it's (metal is) just a step up from hard rock music, on the level of metallica. There were a bunch of cool musical ideas in this album, particularly in the form of the underlying guitar/bass riff that repeats. I think I would've preferred the vocals to be a little bit harsher, but I suppose that's part of the appeal of this "level" of metal music. Cool stuff, especially T1-"Holy Wars..." and T7 "Tornado of Souls" (playlist track). 3/5

The album cover fucks! Severely! The extent of my knowledge of metal is Enter Sandman tbh so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this is pretty fuckin sick. Banger after banger, I think I'll add this to my general rotation.

Never thought I’d like more thrash metal than Metallica, but this is great. The vocals get a little annoying but so much fun to listen to and even more fun to notice their technical skill.
Awesome album. Megadeth was always hit or miss for me, but then they crushed it when I saw them live. So I'm forever biased. The guitar and drum work are just so fun to listen to throughout the album. It feels like grooves and metal shouldn't go together, but that's the exact feeling I got each track. That's just what happens when the instrumentals are so tight. Favorite track: Holy Wars...The Punishment Due
Not just noise. I was not really into metal especially trash. I like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath but this… is just so much more with those riffs, this voice. I must remember Mustaine as one of the best guitarist I’ve heard. The cover is also really beautiful. Nice discovery
I think this barely squeaks out a 4. I found the songwriting to be actually quite good, including the lyrics which is weird to say about an 80's metal record. The guitar solos are AWESOME and the guitar work in general is really inventive and TIGHT TIGHT. The vocal delivery is not my favourite, but I enjoyed this a bit more than I typically do Metallica releases. I think it's possible I wouldn't like anything else from Megadeth but this one really did it for me.

This is not my jam but wasn't nearly as bad to revisit as I'd feared. For one, they're not Metallica and for that we can be grateful - I've of course always lumped them together (and thrown them away) as Dave Mustaine was a former member, but this has far more interesting melodic turns for me. Seems odd to say about a thrash metal album but hey that's why we're doing this. I don't like the vocals - surprise surprise - but he's far more palatable than James Hetfield's ridiculous growl-bark-in-E-minor. Essentially he's easier to ignore; maybe some of that is how he's mixed - just a bit lower in the mix, giving the music more power. Obviously the musicianship is quite incredible. Anyways even though I'm not gonna be reaching for it anytime soon, I have to admit I liked it more than I'd expected (especially with how low I view Dave Mustaine as a human). 5/10 3 stars.
Holy Wars is one of the iconic guitar riffs. Poison Was The Cure has a cool opening bass line. Tornado Of Souls is killer. If I am in a heavy metal mood, this album should be in rotation.

As with all Megadeth albums, the guitar work is great but it’s just not really my vibe. Dave’s voice isn’t actually too annoying on this one either
This brand of speed/thrash I think I could like more if I spend more time listening to it. But the vocal is the weakest point. Plus kind of cringey D&D style lyrics I have somehow outgrown. But Tornado of Souls totally rocks. Fell in love with the guitar solo at first listen and I had to rewind to listen to again. This has not happened to me for a while.
Knew this wasn’t for me when I looked at the track listing to see how long there was left to go and discovered I was only on track 2. Dave Mustaine wanted to be harder and faster than Metallica and he succeeded. I prefer something a bit more melodic myself. They’re a tight unit though so I’ll give them that

Surprisingly delicate in places, but mostly like being plugged into the mains.
I wasn't in the mood for this when it came up, but hoo boy, is this great. A wickedly good thrash album by Megadeath, with searing guitars and a heavy as hell rhythm section. It's a really rich, weighty sound. And I have to give credit to Dave Mustaine and Mike Clink for really knowing how to put together a cohesive album that feels carefully crafted without sounding over-produced. The one weak point I would mention is Mustaine's vocals, which are somewhat uneven across the board. Fave Songs: Holy Wars... The Punishment Due, Rust in Peace... For metal to work for me, I think I need it to be quite... outstanding. And this album wasn't that for me. It's not enough to just dish out lots of notes in fast order to get my blood pumping. It should have nothing to do with the music, but it might also get dragged down by my view of Dave Mustaine as a whiny child about getting kicked out of Metallica for a being a drunk and general douche.
I mean it's a decent thrash album. I wouldn't recommend it over Metallica from the same era though. Not quite a four but a very strong 3 star from me. If you enjoy thrash it is worth a shot.
This was surprisingly incredible. I just avoided this kind of thing when I was younger because I heard enough bad examples of it to give up. This thing really hit me though. Guitar work is insane and the lyrics and singing, while dated and cringy in some places, were powerful and interesting for the most part. Really surprised myself to give this 5 stars but here we are.

A top genre album - definitely one of the trash metal classics - immediately hit me even if it was actually the first time I sat down and listened to it end to end. Maybe not as strong as Reign in Blood or Master of Puppets and it does kind of taper towards the end.
Only 1 star off bc I'm not super into metal (yet). This was really fun. The lyrics sounded kinda stupid sometimes, but other times they were so edgy they looped back or actually good. The instrumentals were still way better than any of that, consistently impressive. Track 7 is the best.
Best Song: Hangar 18. This song was in either a Guitar Hero or Rock Band, and the memories of being a pretend musician really amplifies the nostalgia. I might as well have written this song myself. Worst Song: Dawn Patrol. Who asked for this weirdly whispered vocal fry? Overall: A totally mediocre metal album whose listening experience was greatly influenced by my having just finished listening to Napalm Death. Sits firmly on the "boring" shelf of classic metal.

I've never been a big fan of heavy metal, especially some of the recommendations for it I've gotten here, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. I loved the melodies, voice inflictions, vocals, lyrics, and the sudden changes in pace of the songs. The longer songs were some of my favorites, too, which is not usually the case. Amazing album.
I have quite a lot to say about this album, especially as a young and easily impressionable person I was listening to thrash metal (as a way to be independent, "free-thinking" soul). As a Thrash fan, I was listening to bands like Metallica and Slayer, so the rules said I had to hate the other two Anthrax and Megadeth. Who came up with those rules, I have no idea, but my group of friends was really "true" in this sense. Finally, after some growing up I did, the song "Hangar 18" completely changed my opinion about Megadeth. One thing being constant, I still despised Mustaine's voice and vocal, but I finally could appreciate his song writing skills. Awesome solos, riffs and speed, this song is definitely up there on the 80s/90s thrash pantheon. The rest of the album is sometimes good, sometimes bad, so I wouldn't feel comfortable giving it a highest praise, but for this single song, and massive amount of nostalgia that goes with it, I will give it 4 stars. I can't listen to this genre anymore now, but few exceptions like this are always welcome.

Kinda sounded like one 45 minute-long song, but I got through it. Now, I would probably never play any Megadeath on purpose in my car, but if I had a friend who was like a die-hard metal fan and was into this, I wouldn't ask him (no girl is listening to this shit) to turn it off! It has a time and place. Unfortunately for them, it will likely never be the time nor place when I'm on aux.

I was never into this style of metal, it always sounded cheap and ridiculous to me. This album however may be the best thing I've ever heard that sounds like this. I enjoyed a few songs, didn't skip any, it never annoyed me, didn't feel redundant, the band sounds skilled. I still don't like this music, but I can definitely hear that Rust In Peace is at the top of its game.
This is not at all my type of music and I wasn't really looking forward to listening to it. Honestly though, it was better than I expected. It's still not really my music and I don't see myself listening to it again, but the band is clearly super talented and the guitars and drums are pretty impressive throughout. Just not really aligned with what I like, but I respect it. Favorite song: Rust in Peace...Polaris (Honestly they all kind of sound pretty similar to me, this is the last song on the album and it closed things out strong)
I have gotten a bunch of metal albums so far and it's my 3rd lowest rated genre so I haven't had a good track record with them. I've heard of the band before and given the description I was expecting something very different than what I got. It was great fun. Not something I'd listen to all that often but it was really enjoyable. Shame about how the album cover is absolute dogshit. 4.5/5

It's good. Better than most thrash metal. But even the hits don't grab me. I can list 20 Metallica songs I would rather hear and at least a few Megadeth songs as well, but that's the thing with Megadeth: a lot of their stuff is good but not great. A lot of their stuff doesn't grab you. It just sounds good, not great. 4 stars.
Strap in, hold tight and make sure your medical insurance is current. This is fast tempo stuff. Not for the faint-hearted. No sugar required.

Rust In Peace represents the crossing point of Metallica's decline of quality music and Megadeth's rising pace of good thrash metal. I know I'm glad Dave Mustaine got fired, it gave him the opportunity to make this. 4/5.

Really liked the guitar and solos on Hangar 18. Easily my favourite track of the bunch and made listening to this album worthwhile. Politically infused lyrics too... "I've seen too much, I know too much" Overall as an album, it had that standard heavy metal sound. Maybe that comment is a reflection on how little I listen to heavy metal. Aside form Hangar18, nothing really distinguished the album from being a generic heavy album. I really like the political lyrics and album cover though. Looking through their discography, their album art is quite fascinating. Musicwise, I think I'd need to listen to more heavy metal (and more of this album) to fully 'get' it. Based on what I heard today, it was alright.

I liked this far more than expected. Bands like Megadeth are right on the edge of what I enjoy; I love hard rock (AC/DC is one of my favorite bands) and love me some quality guitar playing, but metal often crosses the line from enjoyable badassery to unpleasant dissonance with grating vocals closer to growling or screaming than singing. Knowing Megadeth by reputation only (and the odd album cover), I fully expected "Rust in Peace" to fall into the latter group, but I was pleased to discover that it just squeaked in on the right side of that line. I found Marty Friedman's guitar solos particularly enjoyable (especially the ones on "Poison was the Cure" and "Tornado of Souls"). That dude can fucking shred. All told, this was precisely the kind of pleasant surprise I always hope to discover when listening to my album of the day. 🤘🤘
I started listening to Megadeth a few years ago when I rediscovered metal, and I'm glad I did. They're fast, their loud, their lyrics are poignant, and it's entertaining as hell...let's also not forget about Eddie. I really need to sit down & have a Megadeth marathon because this band is that good

For some reason in my head it never seemed that accessible for a newcomer but I got pretty into this. Some really fun listening and honestly really good songwriting. Great technical playing and really funny
I was expecting this to be a lot worse than what it was. It was not screaming music in which I couldn't understand it. It was heavy metal, a little heavier than Metallica. I don't think I would listen to it again though.
Very sonically interesting, tho it gets maybe too cliche-macho-metal for my in some places for my tastes. The second side really picks it up tho, and even gets a bit funky
I think I'm always surprised by how clean and smooth so many of the 90's metal records are. I've never listened to Megadeath before, but I came away from this album very impressed. Really thumpy, head-banging tunes. Love how instrumental it is. Great gym music.

First of all, there’s something about this album cover that I both love and hate. Like it’s a tacky 80s metal cover but also kinda cool. Regardless, the album is good, fun metal that probably isn’t technically as good as Metallica but is still enjoyable to listen to. It’s still not my favorite genre ever but it was still a nice 40 minutes while I played far cry. Definitely a low 4

I enjoyed this record far more than I thought I would. I prefer the slower, more melodic sections, but some of the foot to the pedal stuff is highly engaging. I don’t know if I’d listen to it again, but the generator has given me Metallica and Megadeth in my first 30 selections, both albums I would never have listened to by choice, and I’ve enjoyed both.
I didn't think I was going to like this one, but I gave it a listen. 40 minutes later... It turns out I was right. I didn't get anything out of it. I was wishing I had it on a 78 turntable so it would end sooner. Next album please.
After a long long day I was exhausted and not really feeling like thrashing. Decided to go for a run and used this album as a soundtrack. I realized pretty much right away that I had to know what it sounded like in all its glory. Ended up finishing my run early to listen in HiFi on the speakers. In a single sentence: this album is like if Rush made a heavy metal album. I think my only issue with the album is that I could take or leave Dave's vocals in some songs. Sometimes he sounds a little like Layne Staley, other times it's a little TOO "Rock God"-y. But then again, if I just think about it from a more tongue-in-cheek perspective I can just kinda laugh with him. By the time we got past "Five Magics" to "Dawn Patrol" I realized this dude is kinda silly. Anyway I'm going to just paste the listening notes I jotted down. 4/5 btw. "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due" this track is epic. I have no idea how to otherwise describe it. Political. The SHRED. "Hangar 18" 2.5 minutes of soloing and instrumentals. I have nothing more to say other than aliens are real and shredding is aliens. "Take No Prisoners" I got goosebumps from this intro riff. THE BASS SOLO AT AROUND 1:45 COME ON YES. Take no prisoners, take no shit. Hell yes, brother. "Five Magics" mysterious Dungeons & Dragons bass solo. Pretty sure they start playing in 5/4 at one point. 5 magics / 4 shreds. I love that the chorus is just a banger of a riff. Holy cow another WILD solo. Dude HOW!? "Tornado of Souls" heavy metal breakup song. This solo wow. WOW. WOW!!! THE FRETBOARD IS ON FIRE. I AM ON FIRE. MY HOUSE IS ON FIRE. "Dawn Patrol" oh yeah here we go. This bass intro reminds me of DOOM. "Rust in Peace...Polaris" drum solo intro was perfect. The second half of this song. God damn. POLARISSSSSSSS. My hair is burning off, my face is melting, I am riding a nuclear bomb into the ground and laughing all the way.

Instant 5!!! This is the album that got me into metal. I finally got what everyone was talking about. It's so pleasing, it's so hilarious, it's so over the top, it's amazing. Fun metal. Fun like a haunted house pinball machine. Crazy that it was made by such a troubled person. It’s really creative. People talk endlessly about the guitar solos but it’s really the songwriting and arrangements that feel inventive to me. 5 stars because if rocked my world when I first listened to it last year. 5/5

From start to finish, Rust in Peace is just an exercise in how pulverizing, hard-hitting, breakneck and relentless one of the big 4 of thrash metal can get. Approaching a sweet spot at forty minutes, it also never overstays its welcome and can be a welcome respite from all the other ponderous metal records of the time. Classic thrash, classic Megadeth, classic album.

Marty Friedman is an absolute dynamo. A sterling guitarist who has magical fingers. He's the strength of this album. There's something about Dave Mustaine that really bothers me. He seems really toxic and his voice grates on me. Some great songs but too much filler.

Thrash Metal is sometimes almost comical to me. This is pretty Thrash Metal. Obviously some great technique and playing on this album but it's like the cotton candy of metal. Quickly melts after consumption and just a transient experience.

Albümün ya da grubun genel olarak mesajını, lyricleri falan anladığımı söyleyemem ama bir albümde gitar varsa ve şekil a.daki (Rust in peace) gibi KONUSTURULUYORSA dinlenir. Gitarlar enfesti. Ayrıca ilk şarkılarda oriental olarak tanımlayabileceğim (?) küçük, böyle araya yerleştirilmiş ezgiler vardı, mmm harika. Çok harika ötesi bir albüm değildi ama böyle bir şey dinlemeye ihtiyacım olduğu için reviewumuz pozitif olacak. Overall: 7.5/10

Rust in Peace made my ears bleed. I'm glad I stopped after the 4th song because it likely would have made me Megadeaf.
So far... I can feel a slight headache coming on. At the same time, I feel rage and power! My favorite part of these songs is when they slow down and chill out for the "breakdown" moments. Finally, a moment to catch my breath. Lucretia is fuckin rad. Ahhh. It’s finally over. 2/5.
Where most thrash metal loses me is when the have this non-conducive solo sections and screaming that just throw me out of the groove. Rust In Peace is fast paced, expertly executed, crisp and fun. Megadeath has legit earned another fan on this. Fuck me up, this album rocks.
That artwork is sick. Kinda gets repetitive if you dont have an ear for it. Five magics was my favorite. Made me feel like I was playing DND in the 80s. Hangar 18 is pretty bangin too though. I'm trying to think where else I would like to listen to this at. And I think my answer is at a monster truck rally

It's been a few days since I listened to this, and I find myself having to re-listen to remember what it's like. I mean, it's good. Not my genre. The imagery of it is quite hilariously "teen boy" and you can imagine the stench of unwashed leather and denim at their concerts. That saying, the whole thing is tighter than a tight thing and it does exactly what it sets out to do - with aplomb. Probably going to have to be 5 stars, isn't it?
I had to go back and check but apparently there were multiple songs on this album. They fit all the notes in though — all of them.
I remember when I first discovered Megadeth.. I had just gotten big into Metallica and learned about their connected histories with Dave Mustaine leaving Metallica to start Megadeth. I was blown away by what I was hearing.. Megadeth is clearly more committed to the thrash metal scene for the long haul unlike metallica who moved on from it after an album or two. Dave Mustaine is a riff wizard. He is not a great singer, but it's impressive that he maintains both lead singer and lead guitar.

MEN, det var inte så dåligt som jag var rädd för. Lite cred ska de ha, coola riffs och sånt ibland. Känner ändå att det mesta flyter ihop, efter ett par låtar tappar jag intresset och glömmer lyssna. Jag kan förstå att det finns något här. Många låtar har ett fint, långsamt intro som förstörs när tempot ökas. Det är hårt, men ändå inte så pass hårt att melodierna inte går att urskilja. Det är melodiöst, och uppenbart väldigt skickligt hantverksmässigt. Det är bara, helt enkelt, ingenting för mig. Det kommer bli en etta, men det var ändå inte USELT. Albumen jag ger tvåor håller generellt högre klass än det här, men det hade kunna varit mycket värre. Bästa låt: Fick mest känslor för 'Hangar 18' och 'Five Magics' efter en genomlyssning, så någon av dem.

Love Metallica and Slayer, but wasn’t too familiar with Megadeth. This album is awesome. Riffs are great, drumming is impeccable, this is an awesome thrash record. Will definitely be checking out more of their discography.

Inderdaad, dit zijn gillende gitaren. Helemaal volgens het boekje keurig binnen de brave metal-lijntjes gekleurd. Lekker stampend en met de gebruikelijke vieze woorden om hun oude moedertjes te laten schrikken. Maar goed, bij mij wreekt zich dan dat dit echt mijn genre niet is. Het klinkt nog het aardigst wanneer het instrumentaal is. Zodra ze hun schreeuwende smoel opentrekken, haak ik weer af.
Dit ken ik van een grijsgedraaid tapeje van een oud vriendje van me. En dan ook nog uit zijn kinder-stereotoren. Vond het toen verschrikkelijk. Maar dat lag natuurlijk aan dat doffe geluid. Nu via een geremasterde link van Spotify klinkt het ineens vol en zijn de instrumenten duidelijk te onderscheiden. En dan blijkt het toch wel erg lekker. Lekker tempo, behoorlijk gevarieerd binnen het genre en een heerlijk stevig geluid. Maar niet te stevig. Want Spotify laat het opvolgen door wat andere grote metal-platen met vooral veel onverstaanbaar geschreeuw. Nee, dan speel ik liever deze plaat opnieuw.
1001 gitaarsolo's in 1 album gepropt, op een achtergrond van distorted riffs en rauwe thrash metal drums. Over de zang moeten we verder maar niet praten en om de teksten zal het vermoedelijk ook niet gaan. Ik luister dit soort muziek met name voor de gitaren. En die gaan helemaal los. Ik had toevallig pas geleden dit album opgezet, omdat maat André dit als huiswerk kreeg. Dus ik heb nu het integrale live concert uit 2010 opgezet. Potdikkie, die mannen kunnen wel een potje spelen hoor.

Two monster tunes (Hanger 18 and Tornado of Souls) and a great balance of shred and tune. Not my type of music necessarily, but I've enjoyed listening to this.
That album was so important to me in my discovery of metal music. I still think it's an absolute masterpiece to this day. It has a punky and nasty vibe that the rest of the Big Four never had. We can feel that Dave was pissed off and he made the most raging record of his career. Better than anything Metallica has recorded, in my opinion.

This is without the shadow of a doubt one of the best thrash metal album ever made and the best that we'll ever get from Megadeth. In Rust in Peace, we can feel another kind of anger, lead by inimitable guitar works, killer drum parts and intoxicating vocals.

The quality of Megadeth mainly hinges on how much you can tolerate Dave Mustaine's vocals. While Megadeth's brand of thrash metal is technically impressive and tons of headbanging fun, Mustaine has a nasally, almost whiny inflection to his songs. This makes the instrumental parts of Rust In Peace my favorite, such as the solos and sweet riffs that come on in Hangar 18. I personally don't mind the vocals that much because it's not hard to look past when the production and instrumental songwriting is so strong. It's not even comparable to other thrash bands at the time, it's in it's own league of quality. Aside from lyrics, Mustaine always knew how to write a damn good song. In culmination, this is a damn good album.
Solid thrash metal album. I find Dave Mustaine a bit obnoxious, but I can't argue with the consistency and musicianship of this album. It starts strong with Holy Wars ... the Punishment Due, and the closer, Rust in Peace ... Polaris is simply phenomenal. There's no room for filler on this album and I even listened to the demo tracks on the remaster. Great album.

Het hele album keurig afgeluisterd hoewel ik dit anders nooit zou aanzetten, dat is het mooie van deze generator. En ik heb me er best mee vermaakt. Qua muziek is het helemaal prima. Ik kreeg meteen zin om Doom te speedrunnen. De zangstem van d'n Dave (wittewel) is voor mij wel echt een minpunt. Komt op mij enorm over als een slechte deelnemer in een Bon Jovi imitatiewedstrijd. Ik snap werkelijk niet hoe iemand deze zang kan waarderen dan wel verdragen. Ook heb ik weinig met de teksten, maar dat kan ik altijd vrij makkelijk negeren. Een dikke 3 omdat de muziek lekker is.

I can understand how 6 minutes of face melting riffs and drums that sound as if they were produced in a machine because after the 10th take the drummer had lost all feeling in his hands can not be everyone’s cup of tea, however I fucking LOVE this tea. Growing up with a brother who was obsessed with guitar every single song here taps into my RedBull sponsorship when I was 10 years old after I shredded “Enter Sandman” by Metallica at the local IX Indoor Amusement park. The fact that Megadeth has 20 albums ranging from 1985 all the way to 2019 is not only impressive longevity wise not mostly impressive in the fact that they could 1) Find new ways to have guitar solos integrated into their songs that seemed to have influenced popular bands like DragonForce and 2) That there is still a group of people out there that is listening to this music because however influential and incredibly talented Megadeth was, I think most would agree that 5 minute guitar solos today belong in Jam Bands or when I go to Kingston Mines to experience some live jazz. Overall, if I was trying to max at the gym I would suggest turning this on or any Russian HardBass you can find on SoundCloud. Either would do the trick. This shit kicks ASS and even if it’s not your jam it can be seen as a total joke and whiles are funny, jokes are also good things, and Megadeth was and is a good thing for music.

This was a good album to listen while cooking. My thoughts: lots of shredding, somewhat cliched, lyrics silly at times. I bet this sounded more original when it came out.

This is not my favorite album of theirs, for this list I would have used Countdown to Extinction, and for all I know it is also on this list. He definitely has a unique and distinctive voice, which I'm not always a fan of. Of the Big 4, they are my 3rd favorite.
