I’ve never heard of this person or album, but Michael Stipes was right- it’s a great album.

There were a lot of covers on this album and for the most part other people did them better. This may be a groundbreaking album, but I’m not sure it stood the test of time.

Enjoyed all I was able to listen to and will be adding it to my playlist.

Tracks Started to sound similar but wasn’t able to listen fully.

Seemed t gva compilation. Still prefer American Idiot.

Not a bad country album if you’re in the mood for her voice

Didn’t realize the first time around how much punk influence is in her music

I learned after the first two albums that I don’t like Björk. So nothing has changed.

I felt like this was two different album stuck together randomly. Like a combination of Indie rock and punk.

Certainly a 90s vibe to this. The music is solid but you have to really be in the mood for this vibe.

Why is this an album I needed to hear??

I don’t like no Young and I wasn’t going to listen to this album. It was much better than I expected, but I would call it grunge.

I’ve only given it as many stars as I did because I’ve always loved Tainted Love. But clearly that song was an anomaly for them because the rest of the album is pretty bad.

After listening to this, it’s no surprise at all that Oasis beat The Verve for best UK album of the last 30 years.

I was surprised that I more or less enjoyed this album. It reminded me that many places of the music coming out of the UK in mid 80s. At the time I would’ve called it new wave, but it was probably early punk.

That falsetto was intolerable

This is giving vibes of Appalachia and rural North Carolina of the 30s and 40s with their Scottish based music meets Bob Dylan meets disenfranchised 80s youth of the UK. I think the first disc was better than the second one. His voice was too aggressive on so many songs on the second one.

I started listening to this album shortly after it came out. I have always loved it so I guess I’m not an impartial rater. At this point, I’m not sure if I like it because it’s great music or I’m just used to it

These guys can jam, there’s no doubt. It’s no Sweet Melissa though. I’ll give them a five for skill and execution minus one because it’s not my jam.

There is so much punk music on this list. I didn’t hate it. It was kind of boring though. I quit listening halfway thru.

I live next-door to one of the drummers for three years, never was quite sure what his group was all about. Turns out they’re pretty good.

I’m a fan of Van the Man. But not of live albums. It’s hard not to give this one of five and I probably need to listen to it more today. It’s not a five.

His Album was not available on Spotify, so I listen to other songs by him. I did not know if he’s the one that did The Revolution Will not be Televised.

There are times I really want some quality classic country. And I like Ray Price. We listen to entire album of the songs they all start to sound similar.

Bluegrass X country, women singing about relationship drama. If this is your vibe is the right album and a good one. Plenty of songs about relationship drama.

This band never got airtime in the US as far as I know. I’ve never heard of them. I’m sure they would’ve been successful if they had been released here.

This poor woman had a difficult life and a beautiful voice. The album very much a proud of its time and place.

There’s nothing wrong with this album. It’s just, and I hate to say this, boring. I imagine if you were messed up at a nightclub it might be the perfect hypnotic music for you

I just love Steely Dan. Smooth jazz with such an influence on different music genres during the late 70s early 80s. You can really hear it in this album.

After reading the Wikipedia write up on this album, I almost didn’t listen to it. I don’t know how I miss Limp Bizkit when I was listening to the chili peppers and other groups like that.

Her voice is beautiful, but it’s not often you’re in the mood to listen to a 1960s Brazilian vocalist. Just not my thing.

Soporific! I never made it past the first two. Not what expected from music called Kraut

During the 80s, he was the master of crappy 80s pop music. I have to wonder if his musical ability would extend to 90s alt or 70s classic rock, or was he just gifted at crappy 80s pop music and happened to be making it in the right decade?
