this doesnt work for me. I tried but its not a fit for me! the british accent, the voice and everything else is not a match for me. An Album with no need to revisit. The biggest song of the album according to spotify was for me not in the slightest way likeable. Careering, chant was good somehow (compared to the album). Bro what is happening on No Birds. It sounds like the vocals dont even fit to the song, like it wasnt even recorded with trying to fit. Graveyard, socialist and Radio 4 was also good (no vocals).
The Highs are mid and the lows are low 1.5/5.0

Back when I was in college, I used to hang out at this bar where *so much drama* went down. There was this one bartender who had zero tolerance for Neil Young and this other guy who apparently *lived* to play Neil Young. Oh, and did I mention the magic tricks? Yep, the Neil guy would perform magic for women like he was auditioning for a spot in Vegas. I couldn’t tell what was more awkward—the bartender’s quiet rage as Neil’s greatest hits blasted or the magician’s attempts to charm women with card tricks. Honestly, I just went there for the wings. Best wings ever.

Disc 5 Now again more slower. Glad that im almost through it. Its still wonderful. 3.5/5

Even without juicy and big poppa it has a lot of bangers and would still be an all time great album in my books! Suicidal Thoughts is one of the greatest fucking tracks that exist in this world. Important Album!
Its easier to point out what i dont like so;
-machine gun funk - (idk i never clicked with it)
-one more chance - (seems weak compared to the album)
-Fuck Me (Interlude) - should be self explaining... on streaming its not a problem cuz its an easy skip but on wax its exhausting to listen to it or to skip. Its just unnecessary

this doesnt work for me. I tried but its not a fit for me! the british accent, the voice and everything else is not a match for me. An Album with no need to revisit. The biggest song of the album according to spotify was for me not in the slightest way likeable. Careering, chant was good somehow (compared to the album). Bro what is happening on No Birds. It sounds like the vocals dont even fit to the song, like it wasnt even recorded with trying to fit. Graveyard, socialist and Radio 4 was also good (no vocals).

Its a really good album that ive had listened to for the first time in full length. Was familiar with a few and mostly with Sloop John B, which I like a lot!
My father was five when this dropped so i have nothing left to really appreciate this work of art.
It has many Sounds and layers, that for its time is surely more than innovative. pure subjective music wise i would go with 4.0/5.0 but since its one of the big albums for its time that shaped modern sound there we go with the 5 Star!

I'm 23 now and with 16 when some Abba songs played, did me and my friends sing and dance along. Music i love listening during the winter! As one of the first "Concept" Album we gotta credit that and pushing the now beloved 12" Vinyls too makes this work much more important for the future. Yeah 50minutes about heartbreak is long if you just sit down and listen to the music. You dont gain much more but for atmosphere while havin dinner, drinks, a walk in the snow etc. its powerful!

But Since this woman on the cover should represent a 14 year old girl that's involved sexually in the storytelling of this album i really don't like it in any fashion. Its art and just a story in this case, but its sooo weird to think about it. Sex Noises and sexually intended moaning on music are always negative points in my books.

It had some good tunes but overall felt at times pretty lengthy and forgettable. Still some nice catchy sunny tunes that will fit in the summer. (2.5/5.0)

Definitely one of the good examples out the 80s. First I was deeply scared after seeing some reviews but to me this album just seems crazy overhated. I mean yeah in a Best albums of the 80s alone this one wouldnt stand out but its either not worse. Its smooth and has a good disco happy energy to it. (4.0/5.0)
