What a bad hang. This music sounds like a pharmaceutical ad. The album is an insincere and misguided mess, & listening to it makes me question whether or not I'm a functional member of society.

Solid album that's earned its reputation as foundational classic rock. Very listenable.
There is some interesting instrumentation on the album, but ultimately spending time with this music is corny & annoying.
Pigs? Reptiles? Animals...FUCKING?? Where am I, the darn zoo?!
One time some people said to me that this music sucks, so I lined them all up & clonked their heads together like coconuts
-6 charisma +9 bass on "Roundabout"
Hell yeah
When I was a pretentious teenager I had the choice to get into a self serious overwrought double LP rock opera that has some good guitar solos but goes on for too long, & I chose Joe's Garage by Frank Zappa.

A cynical person's idea of sincerity. I don't buy it.

I heard if you start playing this album & Brian Eno's Music for Airports at the same time they sync up.
Who is this for? My confusion periodically pulled me away from the music, but returning to the music provided me with no purchase. "More is more" is the implication inherent in the idea of Metallica with orchestral accompaniment. So why stop there? This album seems like a creative concept at first, but my listening experience did not align with the expectation the concept created.
What a trip that Marc Bolan and Mark Volman are both on the same album. The stars aligned for this one.
It's cool if he wants to do this kind of thing behind closed doors, but this is really none of my business.
Yes
Please.
