She's definitely a good singer, but I'd rather listen to other artists in the same vein. A bit unfortunate it's all covers as well.

Liked the bluesy songs

This sounds like it'd be played at Cars Land in Disneyland. I think it is pretty unoriginal cause a lot of these are covers but I can respect the vocal tone and quality.

Extraordinarily mature development of voice and sound considering the handful of years she'd been in the business. Maybe a little too purely straight ahead Country - it needs a little twist and surprise. Still a really great debut.

Elements of country at times, love ballads, a little bit of variety and a pretty voice make this a decent pop album that covers lots of older country work.

Yay! Gorgeous voice, marvelous songs, I sure needed this today. "Black Coffee" has been a favorite from back in the day, and "Honky Tonk Angels' Medley" is a goddamn world treasure with Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, and Brenda Lee! More amazing women like all of these, please!

This is a k.d. lang album with which I was not familiar. It was quite twangy, but I have no complaint, especially as the music is backing such a beautiful voice.

I’ve heard this album before but it has been a long time. Good lord this is a great album! k.d. lang’s voice is perfection! Back when this came out I was in love with “Black Coffee.” It’s perfect - impressive that it can still stand out on an album filled with stand outs! How k.d. lang slipped out of the rotation I don’t know, but I’m glad to have her back! THAT VOICE! Gliding effortlessly around these melodies so smoothly. Truly the pinnacle of torch-song country!

Very surprised by this album, I haven’t heard any country/folk songs that I’ve enjoyed but loved the ones on this album. Very good

A charming album, showcasing Lang’s exquisite vocals with some old standards and new country.

Turns out I know nothing about k.d. lang. I expected 'Constant Craving', but this is very different. Great singing, lush production, entirely forgettable.

Much different than “Constant Craving.” I was ready to hate it when it first started but I got more into it. Not my normal jam, and I’d need the right place and mood to want to listen again, but I did finally end up enjoying a lot of it.

The first song, a Chris Isaak cover, is quite good and the rest of the album is not bad either (better than Ingenue, generated a year ago or so). But the record is too much pastiche for me (just like World Party, Lenny Kravitz etc) - if in the mood I would just go for an original 50s album.

This is great, and much better than I expected given her later work. If you like a bit of honky tonk and steel guitar (lap and pedal) this is for you. With added Loretta Lynn!

I did enjoy listening to this, but it didn't feel like it was really covering any new territory. It felt very much like throwbacks to classic female country and/or jazz standards artists.

Gorgeous voice that in many ways knows no era. The album is a really special blending of country and vaudeville - it brings up visions painted sunsets and fake horses on a Western soundstage

I never imagined enjoying a kd lang album, I don't like country music. This isn't country music. It was delightful. KD Lang's vocals are superb.

The first couple tracks start off strong but it quickly declines around #6 or 7.

Quite a soothing album, sounds like an early 60s country album. Really nice to listen to. Only issue is that it feels like a long album, even though it's only 35 minutes long.

Nice sounds but a bit whiney for my taste, this genre is not my cup of tea at all kd has a great voice and that carries the album to some extent but to me its just background music, good for a BBQ maybe?

Maybe if I knew more about Americana, Western and Country music, I might understand why this album was included on this list. Maybe I would recognize novel approaches that shaped these styles in the decades to come. But I don't know much about these styles and I don't really care about them. Lang seems to be a good singer, but I couldn't care much less about the songs.

This was quite the curveball with the album artwork and Apple Music calling this pop. This was poppy but the closest pop album to country music prior to 2000. Overall I thought it was okay. She’s a good singer and the songs weee enjoyable but there wasn’t anything too memorable on this album. After a few listens it kind of melded together. 4.5/10

I don’t know what I was expecting from K.D Lang but it wasn’t that. I thought she was grunge or something. But a debut album of covers? Whatever the genre is lame.

Well dang, did not expect that sound to go with that album cover. How have I never heard of her, she's got a phenomenal voice! most angelic yeehaw music I've ever heard.

Laconic would be my one word review... Not really anything you have to listen to...kind of surprised that it is on here.

I can only say the words 'k.d. lang' in the voice of a Jools Holland introduction. Unfortunately, Jools' inevitable nasal excitement isn't warranted by the record, which evolves from easy listening country into pure lounge music as the record progresses. k.d. has a nice, relaxing voice, but I can't imagine hearing this anywhere other than in an elevator. I don't know her music that well but I now understand what all the fuss was about. She has a wonderful voice with great range that makes the country songs sound wonderful. (Waltz me) once again . . . sounds similar to what Amy Winehouse did decades later.

KD has a lovely voice and I like the idea of Patsy Kline's producer stepping in and producing an album that highlights it. If you like female crooners, this album's right up there. I guess 1001 wasn't too interested in the Cow Punk KD that Stompin' Tom used to sing about.

Patsy Cline wannabe

Really into the atmosphere of this. The old-school sound combines with Lang's heavy, yearning voice for a dark, almost film noir vibe on many of the songs. It's somehow both devotedly old-school, with a sound straight out of the 1950s, and yet really off-kilter and unique in its context. The last song doesn't quite fit but is neat as a tribute to the singers who inspired it. Not for everyone, but I'm a fan. Best song: Tears Don't Care Who Cries Them

This album was pleasant, if not the most interesting to me. Kind of a mix of jazz and country with a general easy-listening feel. It was a bit cheesy-sounding at times, and the songs themselves were a little bit boring to me. However she undoubtedly has a great voice, and that made the otherwise slow album worthwhile. Favourite: Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes

This album is not my thing. It just has a very cheesy feeling to the whole thing. It doesn't seem that she wrote any of the songs or played instruments either, so I don't understand how she has her own album. Her voice is decent but nothing truly unique, so that wouldn't seem to justify it. This is some weird combo between smooth jazz and country that couldn't be less cool to me. Standout Tracks: N/A

makes me sleepy this kind of classic-longe music. Okay for the background in a restaurant at best.

A rich and enjoyable effort, often lovely, here and there cheeky, and very well executed overall, but it feels just slightly overdone productionwise at times, as if everyone got a little carried away with their new toys (i.e., strings and steels). One wonders what’s homage and what’s ironic, but that could be expectations from the earlier, campier records. It reminds me vaguely like a rural version of Joe Jackson’s Night and Day. The strength as ever is k.d.’s voice – true and strong and fluid.

Not a big country fan in general, so I was thoroughly surprised how much I enjoyed this album; Lang brings so much emotion to each track.

This is a lot more country than Ingenue (which is the only other album of hers I know - it’s 5 ⭐️) This does miss that lusher sound but her voice is so wonderful that it carries this along perfectly well

An interesting, genuine country album that dips its toes into a bevy of genres alongside. Lang’s voice carries through whatever arrangement she’s working with, and while I wish the production felt a bit smaller and less blown-out/grandiose I did enjoy this one a good bit.

I have a memory of k.d lang from when I was a kid and she first became popular. For some reason that memory did not include that fact that she's a country singer, and a crooner at that. So I was pleasantly surprised. The album is decent overall, and again, that lap steel guitar always gets me.

Initially I was thinking that she has a pretty voice, but this isn’t for me. The more I listened though, it started to click. I definitely prefer the ballads to the more bouncy tracks, where lang shows off her full range. I get why she’s so acclaimed now. B

Even though their (lang uses both her and their pronouns) style is usually not one I'm drawn to, I've enjoyed quite a few of k.d. lang's songs over the years because k.d. is so incredibly talented. It was nice to listen to this album all the way through as I don't believe I'd ever done that before. Once again, even though the styles and genres are not my usual listening fare, k.d. lang's vocal prowess draws me and captivates me. Just incredible.

This album is perfect for buying Oh k.d. I wish I didn’t love you so. I actually enjoyed this album a lot more than I would. Even the country songs I found kind of charming, because it was obviously styled after “old-school” country, which I can appreciate more than modern country. I loved that I checked the year on this album multiple times because I couldn’t believe it was from 1988. The music, the vocal quality was something out of 1958. I thought that was super cool and frankly, hard to do. k.d’s pipes are primo, they’re stronger than black coffee. What a Canadian treasure. Hard to pick out a favourite on the record, I liked quite a few..maybe the country blues banger, Sugar Moon. A lighthearted love song. Busy day yesterday (was too busy being blue, but ultimately tears don’t care who cries them, so I’m effed), I only got to listen once but would absolutely listen to this more.

The first two and last three songs on this album are just country crap that I can't enjoy. The middle seven songs however at least don't turn me off immediately. She does have a great voice and I sometimes find myself getting into those middle tracks. I quite enjoyed the variety in the decent songs. Black Coffee and Shadowland are suitable for a smoky basement club, though I admittedly can't picture k.d. in the requisite scarlet dress crooning at the front of the stage. Sugar Moon belongs on a Hawaiian beach, and Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes seems like it is played by a mariachi band. The backing band is very solid, not a lot of standout performances but just steady and solid throughout. The slide guitar is the one that stays with me, providing a sound that is irritating on the country tracks but quite nice on the other tracks, even if it does attempt to drag the genre back towards country. You can create an EP from this album that is fantastic.

Surprisingly enjoyable. I like her voice a lot, and just the general vibe of more relaxed country. Definitely a bit repetitive, but there were at least 2-3 songs I specifically enjoyed. Will be listening again soon to figure out what to add. 6.8/10

I really liked the voice she has, it's so beautiful. Waltz Me (Once Again Around the Dance Floor was amazing, I mean all the songs were but that I especially liked that one.

I found this weird. It sounds 30 years older than it is. A weird mix of country and jazz, that felt inherently cringe to me. She has a great voice though.

The voice is there, but the music is way too country for me to be able to get into. If it was up to me, I would list Ingenue and perhaps Hymns of the 49th Parallel instead of Shadowland.

3/5 This was old, Texan man, slide guitar music. I was really confused by this album. I didn't have any faults in the execution of the music, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I will relisten to it because I want to hear the lyrics again and see if anything sparks more interest.

I gave it a go but it turns out I'm severely allergic to country music ballads like this.

Not the most exciting or innovative music, but a damn good album all the same. Great vocals and performances, and I like the slight 80s edge infused into the more traditional pop and country sound. Would easily come back to this one. 3.5/5

3.6 - An exceptional voice reminiscent of Roy Orbison with a classic country sound that's produced to perfection. She didn't write these songs and some are standards ("Black Coffee") while others feel derivative of the American songbook. Nevertheless, a nice listen. Standouts: "Western Stars" (by Chris Isaak), "Lock, Stock and Teardrops."

Knowing KD Lang exclusively from "Constant Craving" I was not prepared for an album of lounge/cabaret country! I dug it! I wouldn't be averse to further listens. Fave track - "Lock, Stock, & Teardrops" for lounge, "Black Coffee" for cabaret, and "I'm Down to My Last Cigarette" for country!

Quite boring. Instantly turned into mediocre Western-themed-jukebox type background music and never once entered the foreground of my mind. Probably could use another listen, but I'd rather not do that because I'm pretty sure I would just be bored again.

Country music usually doesn’t click with me for some reason, but nevertheless I’m still happy to have something to expand my horizons. Let’s listen! Songs I already knew: none Favourites: (Waltz Me) Once Again Around The Dancefloor, Don’t Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes Well I’m certainly surprised by how much I enjoyed this! The vocals are simply beautiful throughout, and the music is mesmerising. The songs that sound typically country with the slide guitars don’t repulse me like a lot of other country songs - I wonder if this might be because there is nothing patriotic and screaming ‘Murica throughout (I’ve since read that k.d. lang is Canadian, so that makes sense). There are also influences from salsa music that come out now and then, as well as Tears Don’t Care Who Cries Them, which sounds like it could be a secret Buddy Holly song. Overall, despite my expectations, I enjoyed this very much.

Did not enjoy this album. I don't mind K.D's earlier work with the Inclines with her high energy country and western, cow-punk style, but with her solo debut, she drags this genre to a loungy C & W, easy-listening pace that makes me wonder if this was meant as parody or a genuine attempt to pay tribute to Patsy Cline. At times, the arrangements come across as cheesy and it was sometimes painful to listen to and is only saved somewhat by her always incredible voice. There are other albums of K.D. I would deem more essential than Shadowland.

Honestly not bad for the genre, it was rather pleasant all along, but it's just not for me.

Should be played in 2x speed to be at least a little bit interesting.

This album kind of surprised me. That is because her previous album that I listen to on this list. I really enjoyed it even though it’s country. However, I don’t like so much. It was very very country.

I was gonna absolutely slate this and then I realised it sounds like the background music from SpongeBob which made me smile. Also Scott thinks it's Morrissey that quiff, I think it's the cramps cartoon logo.

I wish I liked this. She has a beautiful voice, she’s Canadian, and she’s always been proudly and defiantly her own unique self, a queer woman in music at a time when it wasn’t accepted or embraced. The ridicule I’ve heard about her all my life just because she didn’t conform physically to the rigid gender norms for female chart-topping artists in the 80s and 90s always made my blood boil. I can’t even imagine how difficult it must have been for her to forge such a successful career while unwavering in her individuality and values. I love so much about k.d. lang and truly appreciate what all of her successes represent for other marginalized artists, I just don’t like the country-western twang of it all. Maybe it’s subversive that she sings such a misogynistic and closed-minded genre, and if so, right on sister! But otherwise, I’m not into it. Respectfully not for me.

Growing up in Canada, I always heard k.d. lang's name but I never listened to her solo. I've listened to her on the amazing case/lang/veirs album so I knew her voice. I loved it. Definitely regret not listening to her earlier in my life. She has such a great voice for country and it hits me in the right spot.

Ok Album Just not my type of music

Never heard of this artist before, but seeing the genre of music, I was expecting to completely hate this album. But I was actually pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to listen to and enjoy. Sure there were some corny sounding country twangs here and there but the majority of the music and her voice were nice to hear.

Her talent shines brighter when she does jazzier songs than the honky tonk country that had been dead for decades at that point. It was entertaining and I’ll listen to some of the songs again, but there was not much original here. This seemed like and album for the sake of making an album. Easy listening, but that’s all. 3/5

En voyant la pochette de cet album apparaître sur ma page d'accueil, j'étais persuadé que la personne qui nous montrait fièrement sa tête n'était autre qu'un homme. C'est pour cette raison que je décidai d'organiser une session d'écoute avec tous mes amis masculinistes. Je précise que je n'ai personnellement rien contre les femmes, mais ce groupe d'amis est très réticent à leur égard et ont une opinion très tranchée sur celles-ci. « Bon allez, on lance l'album du mec là, j'ai trop hâte » lance mon ami José. Petite alerte sur le morceau d'introduction : c'est une femme qui prend la parole. « Pourquoi c'est une gonzesse qui chante ? » lança alors le gros Marcel. « Ça doit être la première partie, t'en fais pas » tentai-je de le rassurer tandis que les autres convives semblaient très agacés par la situation. Vint ensuite la deuxième chanson, accompagnée du même problème. « Mais encore cette grognasse ?? » s'impatienta José le poilu, à raison. « Il doit y avoir un problème, normalement c'est bien un homme qui doit chanter, il n'y a qu'à voir la pochette et ces cheveux courts » répondis-je sous la pression. Les morceaux suivants ne montrèrent aucun signe du tant attendu mec pour lequel nous étions tous réunis. Très énervés, mes amis partirent sans se retourner et ne m'adressèrent plus jamais la parole.

Je ne ferai plus aucun review tant que cette série fantastique ne sera pas stoppée, 17 albums sans 4/5, et je suis sûr que Robert n'a pas fini de nous décevoir !

this album is solid. k.d. has a great voice with a really authentic patsy cline vibe. The album feels a little safe, but the what’s there is well-executed. The bass tone on “down to my last cigarette” is super corny

this was.. perfectly fine and pleasant. nothing really stood out to me, and i dont think i’ll revisit it, but the vocals were good and the instrumentation was fine.

Lovely country tones with a genuine voice

Blues meshed with country saloon vibes. Feel like I just traveled on my horse for a couple of days on the great frontier and stumbled up to a barren town with nothing but a bar and I’m eating my grits and drinking beer. Glad it was short though because it’s once again not my type of music.

I put it on in the background while doing work. A few minutes later, I noticed Black Coffee was playing (in a good way). Then, to my surprise, the music stopped. Apparently I'd reached the last song. So I restarted from the top, surely intending to listen this time, and the same thing happened! Three more times I repeated this strange sequence of events. Then I came here to write a review. Hard to know what to make of this. At the least, it's so utterly inoffensive that apparently I can listen to it all day without getting bored. The times when I gave it my attention were quite pleasant; her voice is great. But it also wasn't really able to hold my attention even when I was intending to sit and listen for a little, so I can't in good conscience give it 5 stars. Torn between 3 and 4 stars. I think I'm going with 3 but this is going to shift my rating scale going forward, because if this is a 3 then Nico's Chelsea Girl needs to be downgraded 3 -> 2 at least.

Wow, this is really cool. Kind of a reverby, female Roy Orbison or something? IDK. I've heard of k.d lang forever but never listened to her stuff. Listened to a few more of her albums and none hit the mark quite like this one.

Being pretty young throughout the 90s, and growing up in a rather conservative area, the only context I *ever* had for k.d. land was "DiD yOu KnOw ShE's A lEsBiAn?!?!?" I'm sad to say that that was still basically all I still knew about her before listening to this. Imagine my surprise (and delight!) to learn that she is essentially a slightly more baritone, updated version of Patsy Cline! I adored this album. Catchy tunes interspersed with wistful ballads. This is my favorite kind of country music. I'm somewhere between a 4 and a 5 on this, but writing out my feelings has (temporarily, at least) boosted me to a 5.

Was expecting soft pop K.D. Lang. Got whining slow country, so syrupy I felt my blood sugar rise. Couldn't do it.

It takes a bit to get into it, but I do appreciate the flip on its head approach to her crooning voice. It reminds me of this amalgamation of influences with Elvis, maybe Hank Williams

k.d. lang is one of those artists I've always thought had something special going on but I never dug into her catalog apart from knowing some of the big hits (and she and Tony Bennett were the choice for Marianne and my wedding song). So this entry makes me want to go and buy the book this whole endeavor is based on. Why this album? I don't know much about her catalog, but I know this is not her best album. It's fine, it's like a glimpse into what she'd later blossom into as an artist, but this is pretty raw, not terribly well produced, and sounds more akin to a well-crafted demo than a shining example of an artist at her creative apex. So why this album? It's a 3 in my book, and just barely.

Right on. This is why this is a fun project. Best find so far. I mean, what's not to like? Old-school country, produced perfectly. (I just read that she convinced Owen Bradley, who produced Patsy Cline, to come out retirement.) Lang has an amazing voice. Also that opening track is pure bliss. Why did it take me so long to listen to this?

Love kd lang and her voice. Listened to Shadowland and then played Constant Craving right after. Such a better sound and overall quality. Shadowland is kd lang doing Patsy Cline. Ingénue is all kd lang as inspired by Patsy.

A little to country and smooth jazz for my liking.

Heard of her, but never listened to her music. I was pleasantly surprised. Thought she had a great voice and the music seemed to flow from country to 50-60's r&b, soul type sound. When I saw the album, I was like oh no, but I enjoyed. Favorites Sugarland, I wish I didn't love you so, Waltz me, years don't care.....heck I liked most of album. Loretta Lynn on last song pretty cool. Solid 3 for me

3 So it seems country music is going to appear on here so I might as well get used to it. Once I gave in an accepted it I really started to vibe with it. Reminded me of the music from Fallout: New Vegas. I think I like country ladies more than good ol boys, I’m more apt to listen to what they have to say. This album unlike the last few had really tight playing and production. The lyrics were better than Dwigt but nothing to write home about. Also some sneaky saxophoooooooooone. I dig it. 2 Going into this, I knew nothing about the artist or album, yet I had a bunch of questions - including but not limited to: "Who is k.d. lang and why does she look like lesbian Morrissey?" "Why does the Wikipedia article have no information outside of track and personnel listing?" "Why does the most popular song on this album have <500k on Spotify?" After listening to the album, all I can confidently say is that the Pasty Cline vibes are strong with this one... to the point k.d. almost sounds like a tribute artist. If you like Patsy, you'd probably like this album. If you find Patsy okay like I'd do, you'd probably find this album mediocre at best. No song on the album is particularly good or bad to me, but I do think it's a bit too much of the same slow burn to listen to in one sitting - I was kind of bored by the end. If I were in a dim-lit smoke-filled saloon occupied by cowboys drinking away their lonesome sorrows at last call, this album would probably hit the spot. In any other scenario... not sure I'd reach for this album. Favorite songs: Western Stars, Tears Don't Care Who Cries Them

Well…I didn’t hate it? I can’t see myself listening to this again but I didn’t mind it. I enjoyed “I’m Down to my Last Cigarette.” Also, hard to deny how nice her voice is. She reminds of Jewel, but more country. Nice to see more Canadian talent on here.

Well, to start off, I didn't know KD Lang was a country artist at her debut. I only knew her from the song "Constant Craving" and always thought she was more of a pop artists from the R&B side of the music world. That said, her voice grabs you from the beginning of the first track. She has the perfect female country voice: powerful yet subtle, soft and filled with emotion. This album has a real blast from the past feel. KD Lang isn't Patsy Cline, but she does a hell of an impression. 4/5

Yeah, no. Who asked for this? Nobody wants this. Why is this on the list? The only good thing I can say about it is that Lang's voice isn't terrible. Hate that nasty, fake twang but she's got chops which is the only reason this mess doesn't get a single-star review.

This album is a great mix of honky tonk, doo-wop, and a healthy dose of the Bakersfield Sound. KD Lang is strongly influenced by Patsy Cline to the point where she uses her producer on this album. Overall this album reads like a love letter to KD Lang’s heroes and it works incredibly well; her voice can be forceful and delicate and suits the music perfectly.

This is good, but it’s really just that. It feels soulful, but not deeply unique. I’m not sure I can describe where it’s lacking, only that it is.

I like the mixture between country and lounge act lang straddles here. It was her first record so I guess she was still trying to figure things out, but you can hear the real emotion and fire in some of those tunes. Go for it girl, yeah! So... would you file this under country? I guess so. But the jazzier bits break up the monotony. I really dug it, reminded me of Lyle Lovett. Nice refreshing change of pace for me.

I didn't expect this to be anything more than average. But I was really surprised. I felt kind of sheepish because I only gave Loretta Lynn a 3, but this album was more than just good singing. And Lang can really sing (better than Lynn, probably better than many). I kind of viewed it more like the Marty Robbins album. Vocals that fill the ears and some real simple but precise musical accompaniment - perfectly on point for her vocals. Throwback to country of a different time. Really solid.

A had heard of k.d lang but didn't know much about her before listening to this album. It was a nice mix of country and jazz vocals. If you'd have asked me beforehand I would have thought that this couldn't work but she pulls it of rather well. Enjoyed the whole album quite a bit but the opening track, "Western Stars" was the real standout for me. I could see me putting this on again as just something to relax to with a good book.

I hate country music, and this is no exception. Got an extra star for a few catchy guitar riffs, and for the fact that she has a really great voice when she isn't doing that awful yodelly country twang.

Horrible shit hurt my ears

Best Song: I'm Down to my Last Cigarette. Nice sultry song that suits her voice. Worst Song: Sugar Moon. I just really don't like that old-timey, everything is rosy aesthetic for a song. Overall: I enjoy K.D. Lang's voice, but this kind of crooning music is just not my style.

The album was mostly country which I did not care for at all. There were a couple of songs that were not country and were alright. I would not listen to this album again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Slick and smooth country from country great k.d. lang. With a voice like that and classic country tunes that call back to the great crooners of old, you can't lose. Charming is the word I'm looking for.

This is an album of what I can only imagine are country music standards, or the equivalent. It's an easy listen, and has a nice country twang to it. It isn't particularly outstanding, nor is it terrible. It's just average, and that's okay!

REALLY not my thing. Could not even make it through the whole album. No doubt there is some talent here. Almost nothing I can listen to. Only exception: Busy Being Blue. Enjoyed this one song. D+

A little bit uninspired, but not entirely unpleasant. Definitely one of the most impressive voices of the albums we've had so far, badly let down by the backing tracks. I do think the album delivered what little it had to offer early, then tailed off towards the end, with even a strong cover of Down To My Last Cigarette unable to rescue it.

Wow. This was a hard listen. I was incredibly bored. Her voice is amazing but that's one of the only two redeeming factors of this album. The other being that it's only 35 minutes long. When black coffee came on halfway through the album I thought she was gonna pull it back up but then it went back to generic country music. Coolest thing about her is that she's a popular gay country singer in what doesn't seem to be a LGBT friendly community. So kudos to her. Sadly, I'm not rating her as a person but this specific album. Yawn. Strangely I've also seen that this is not listed anywhere as her best album. 10/10 would not listen again.

Sure she has a nice voice, but it's like she made a decision to cover all the most hackneyed, schmaltzy songs she could find. I'm sure my grandma would have liked this.
