Mellow vibes and Taylor has a pleasant folksy voice, but not much variety.
Non-stop fun from start to finish. These girls know how to rock
Some good songs, but not particularly engaging. Probably didn't need to be a double album.
On the whole this album didn't do much for me outside of a few good songs. I will say, however, that this album truly feels timeless, and wouldn't seem out of place in the 50s or the 21st century.
Probably my favorite that I've gotten so far. I was completely unfamiliar with this album before listening, and it blew me away! Great variety in music and really captures a unique sound that fits right in between 80s pop rock and the onset of grunge.
Eclectic, original, and fun all the way through. Not sure if I've ever heard an album quite like it.
Just another piece of proof that girls can rock out rough and rowdy just like anyone else.
Excellent showcase of what made Elvis a legend.
Plenty of beautiful and heartfelt songs, but I didn't find myself moved as much as I would have expected.
Pavement provides an excellent alternative to grunge in the early 90s rock scene with their unique sound.
A true metal masterpiece that laid the groundwork for future bands in the genre. So many of its themes still ring true 50 years later.
Not as good as "Heaven or Las Vegas", but still great an early glimpse into the nascent dream pop/shoegaze scene that would hit its stride in the early 90s.
I am not the biggest metal fan out there, but even I couldn't help but bang my head along with these rockers! Fast-paced fun from start to finish (except for the cringing during "Jailbait").
Of Stevie's 5 "Golden Age" albums (Music of My Mind through Songs in the Key of Life), this is probably my least favorite, and still is a no-doubt 5 star album. Just a credit to how incredibly gifted a musician and songwriter Stevie Wonder is, and how high he flew in the 70s.
Not a big country fan in general, so I was thoroughly surprised how much I enjoyed this album; Lang brings so much emotion to each track.
Not as good as "Last Time Around" in my opinion, but still chock full of great songs.
One of my favorite albums of all time. Like Tonight's the Night, On the Beach showcases Neil's disillusioned with the hippie movement he was part of, and expresses a more cynical outlook, while also becoming more introspective on tracks like Motion Pictures and Ambulance Blues. It's an all-time classic in my eyes.
I actually enjoyed this album for the first half hour or so, but then it just wouldn't end. There must have been four or five times where I thought "this must be the last song, right?", only to find I had half a dozen or more tracks left.
To me, this is the greatest album ever made. Incredibly ambitious both in length and variety, showcasing everything that makes Stevie Wonder a legend. This is one that I have come back to on a monthly basis (at least) for years, and I don't think I will ever get tired of it.
The cover of "Imagine" was a disgrace to my ears, but the rest wasn't bad.
Hard to believe this album is 60 years old. A lot of it still resonates as much today as it did in the 60s.
