10/10
Not my favorite album from her, but still extremely good. I’d give it a 4.25, but that rating option isn’t available. Anyway, we love Adele until the end of time.
Great album didn't have time to finish today but I definitely will later. Great pop album though and very emotional.
ok
5/10
Greatest singer alive!
Not a fan going in and wouldn't say I'm a huge fan going out but I feel this deserves the place. It's well written, amazingly sung, a part of music history and a big cultural impact. I Respect how well this is put together and Hello is an iconic track.
This is the kind of album I hoped would be in this list. Albums that know what they want to do, do it well, are well produced and emotionally expressive. Adele can feel a bit like she's following a standard formula sometimes, but she does it well and I don't mind because I like the nostalgic thought that she learnt it in the same London school my sister went to. So many classics of the last ten years in here.
Temon tras Temon, las letras, las melodías. Álbum 10/10

I love adele she can do no wrong be so fr
Rösten! En femma
Absolute cinema, Adele is a genius. Cried to Million Years Ago.
Top-notch R&B pop. Adele’s voice really is up there with Aretha, Etta, and Amy
Adele muy buena siempre loco
Always an Adele girly
I’ve never felt as moved by an album as I did with this one, ever. Adele has such a powerful voice. She’s touching on emotions I have repressed in order to keep going. All I Ask, Million Years Ago, Hello, Send My Love, When We Were Young….all of these are incredible. I will be relistening to this again.
Marvelous!
This is one of the most iconic albums of our generation. Nothing but hits. unskippable!
omg she eats every time when we were young is a master piece, water under the bridge is too this whole album is beautiful 10/10 5/5 no notes
Good and there are some classics
Some are a few blue, but Adele is amazing. I like a lot of them
TE AMO ADELE CON TODAS LAS FUERZAS DE MI SER. UN SUEÑO. i miss you que temon. when we where young en este album? omg, 100% album para escuchar.
Flawless and soulful, a go to to feel everything Music moves within us.
Absolutely great album. Not a single skip. I admit I wasn't a big fan of the jazzier 19. 21 had some moments, but was a bit uneven. On 25, Adele put it all together in a perfect package.
😭
Sweet
A great voice, a great message, and a great person!
Uwielbiam ten album ❤️
Holy fuckballs this album is phenomenal. 99% of musicians, if not all, sing about love in some way, shape, or form, but Adele makes you feel every single word she sings. She has the voice of an angel, the lyrics are poignant, and there isn't a single thing I'd change.
Blijft heel goed.
the best
I’m so mad people are giving this low ratings. Take the stick out your ass and belt some Adele, you’ll feel better I promise.
One of the best voices ever and pretty decent writing
Obviously
I liked it! She has quite a few singles from this album that I had on repeat.
First time I heard this was 20 years old
Your favorite guest reviewer is in studio today and these are her thoughts. "Adele's expression of the pain she felt figuring out love is presented to the benefit of the world. This album is her magnum opus."
this album is so fierce i forgot about her
Incredibly talented singer, seems to be a lovely human. But it's so boring. Probably great for people who are 'going through it'
Adele is truly a masterpiece. Fantastic album
Gorgeous voice for a deeply personal álbum. I love the way she sings, but also the melodies and great music that engages With her feelings.
When I think of once-in-generation-voices Adele is on that list. My first exposure was a free download on iTunes a million years ago. She hasn't disappointed yet. At times I thought this album was going to drag and then almost immediately a key change or something would happen and I was right back in. She's not my usual listen but I cannot deny those pipes. Hello Send My Love Water Under The Bridge All I Ask
When this album came out, I was in high school and was more into singles than entire albums, so I had never listened to the entire album before. Obviously I knew the big three songs, “Hello”, “When we were young,” and “Send my Love (To your new lover).” I really liked the songs “River Lea” and “Million Years Ago.” I think I might like this album better than 21 (which is super overplayed in my honest opinion). 10/10 album and I can’t believe it took me this long to listen in it’s entirety.
shes just different i love adele
Timeless banger after timeless banger. Truly a generational singer
Obviously
Oh yeah, this is for me. Her voice, lyrics, composition, loved it all, song after song
Great album. Variety of song style and range of styles of singing make a big impact. An album that you can return to again and again.
Going into this I thought, “Okay, there’s going to be 2 hit singles with a ton of filler like most modern pop albums”, but this really did feel like a quality record with pretty great songwriting throughout. I have a newfound respect for Adele as an artist. While she’s not my style exactly I feel like this album will withstand the test of time many years from now.
just love it for obvious reasons
Best singer I have ever seen live. This album is a masterpiece and really live everything she puts out. Full 5/5.
I own almost all the songs on this album. It’s my second favorite Adele album after 21. I especially love the song Million Years Ago.
Adele is a god among mortals. How anyone can sing like that is beyond me. "All I ask is that if this is my last night with you, hold me like more than just a friend. Give me a memory I can use. Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do. It matters how it ends, because what if I never love again?" God, I'm so heartbroken. I miss her so much :(
last cd I ever bought
I loved it.
OI aqui de fora
A near perfect pop album with wonderful vocals. Adele can get it.
It's not as good as 21, but it's still a 4.5 and I'm rounding up because you can't stop me.
that's why she's fucking Adele
Love Adele! Album is good with a nice mix of sounds and songs. Overall enjoy her album. This album is so nostalgic for me. And her voice is just so pretty!!
Oops all bangers (esp last few songs)
Creo que mi favorito es When we were young.
Down for this. Goosebumps is a good indicator. Adele makes incredible music. This is my first 5/5
Immediate 5 stars- she is art I love it. Score score score
Quality voice and brilliant song writing. More than just the hits and the Bond themes.
i mean— dude, its adele...
25 is 100
Hello…it’s me still loving this album
Yes, the voice is immaculate (we know), but 25 deserves more credit as a carefully constructed mood album that actually rewards a full Track 1–11 listen. It’s polished, reflective, and emotionally cohesive… and now I’m just sitting here patiently waiting for Adele’s next major life milestone to bless us with another one.
Adele is always a nice break from the usual slop I'm given. Plus, she's just calming to my ears.
absolute excellence nothing to say
Adele is just phenomenal. I like 21 a little more and like my review for that album, nothing receives backlash like excellence. And she is excellent. This isn't the style of music I usually pick but I could listen to her sing all day.
First 5/5 for me personally, grew up with this album throughout various stages of my life and it can hit every category you need. Heartbreak, love, loss, childhood. Adele is a powerhouse.
So great. If there are any 5s on this list, this has to be one of them. And it's not even her best album. The vocals, the melodies, the vivid evocation, the piano, the variety of vibes, the number of stand alone bangers. And she was only 25!!! 5 squared. So yeah it's a 5.
Loved this album. I really only knew “hello” but she had plenty of other bangers!
Solid all the way through. High school nostalgia
Holy shit this woman sings. "Heartbreak feels good in a place like this." Water Under the Bridge feels like the encapsulation of everything on this one. It balances the ache of a breakup with optimism and hope, and guides us all the way from the initial hurt to the mountain climbing "I've got this, I'm stronger" feeling without saying it directly to you. Her voice carries every emotion in one song. How?! I think what's so impressive about this album is how it doesn't ever go so far that you are overwhelmed. The slower (Hello, Love in the Dark) ballads are balanced with Adele's vocals, as well as beautiful arranged strings and piano. Million Years Ago gently lean into European style guitar while still feeling authentic to her voice, which remains the centerpiece.
I love this album. I remember getting it on vinyl and being blown away by how beautiful it was.
incredible
beautiful album, revised to it today, so it felt peaceful
The rating is already in the name of the album?
I was surprised by how many songs I already knew! Adele’s voice is just out of this world and I hope somebody eventually treats her right 😫
was gonna be 4 stars but then love in the dark/ million years ago came on. fuck.
Oh my god, connected with my inner white girl. Always though Adele was just pop idol who sang about her exes but this was an amazing album - big sounds and powerful lyrics 9/10
amazing
Good , yearning and feels . The songs have good compositions
Added some more songs to my favorites. Giving it a 5 because remembering when my son was a teenager singing Hello in a death metal voice will always make me laugh.
You could never go wrong with mother Adele I didn’t actually listen to the whole Blum but it’s truly such a beautiful and accurate presentation of love
reminds me of my sorority songs - always great
A no skip album
Classic - 9/10
Perfeito
Genuinely one of the best albums ever created, and like the way she just manages to encapsulate every emotion into each of her songs, its just perfect.
Still a classic
Absolutely sensational in all aspects, great vocals and the thematic content is excellent. Masterpiece.
love
Mum used to play this CD in her car all the time. Forgotten how much I loved this album. Many many memories of long car drives flooding back. What a voice she has!
That voice! Somehow still underrated!
Classic album. 10/10
Fire
Actually really nice. Kinda sad and wistful, good vocals and mainly piano backing, already knew a few
She got pipes
Fantastic album
This dude can sing
Amazing start to finish
this is adele at the peak of her powers, banger after banger, this is my joni mitchell!!!! period!!!!!
omg.................... this came at a time when i needed her the most....... i get intense flashbacks of lying on the ground crying listening to i miss you and all i ask in a loop........... no but why is this album so good? adele's voice always touches my heart and her lyrics are tooo relatable. love is too powerful
Perfect album.
Loved it
Two British women revitalized vocal soul in the 21st century: Amy Winehouse and Adele. I appreciate their work of 'blue eyed' soul so much, following Aretha and Dusty. I can listen to this over and over. 5/5
I‘ve never listened to Adele‘s 25. I love love 19 and also enjoy 21 (or is it 22?). This was so viral that I kind of refused to listen to it. Her voice is so beautiful and really mature. When we were young is so beautiful. How cute of her to feel like that at 25. Or mature? I was useless at 25. It’s pretty, lots of big emotions. Still prefer 19.
SO GOOD
Hardest part of listening to this album is that I just want to hear Hello on repeat
I knew it was going to be a great follow-up to the prior Adele album I already encountered so far, but it still managed to exceed my expectations. Excellent record!
Love this album
These songs are super nostalgic for me. This felt like one of the last major albums before the big sea change in my life in 2016. Going back to 25 after a decade with the lyrics about aging and forgiving past wrongs just makes it hit all that harder. It makes me reflect on where I was, where I am now, and how much I’ve grown. One things for sure, I’m not getting any younger. This has my favorite Adele song (When We Were Young).
Adele!!! The vocals are on point, transcendent at times. Generational talent!!
5/10
Excellent. Great vocalist
5 stars, no notes!
Amazing
Any list of Britain's top 10 singers of all time could credibly include Adele, and I'm sure more than a few would put her at number 1. As a young woman stil she still has a huge career ahead. But here in 25 we already see the raw talent of 19 now maturing. Hello is so powerful and soulful. When We Were Young doubly so.
Everyone knows the blockbuster tracks off “25” but as equally impressive is the fact that the non-single tracks almost all stand as equally strong. Together they all form a deep emotive album of love loss and longing. The only exception is “a million years ago” while lyrically it fits with the rest of “25” sonically it’s soft strumming guitar gives a Spanish vibe that feels out of place
Hit after hit after hit
I have Adele's '21' record a 4 star rating, and thought about the other day how that may have a been a bit unfair, and actually should have deserved 5 stars instead. This record might feel a tad more commercial, but probably stronger, than '21'. The start is crazy strong with 'Hello', 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)', and 'When We Were Young'. Then it slows down a bit, and in the middle sits 'Water Under The Bridge' which is probably my favourite song of the album. The end is probably the least exciting, but still decent. But I think this record deserves 5 stars just due to the aforementioned songs alone. Adele must be one of the saddest girls on the planet, but the songs are really good. To weigh up for my 4 stars on '21', I'll give this a 5 stars. Plus, it deserves it.
We had “21” by Adele earlier, and my main gripe with it was the lacked breadth. I think this album remedied that issue. This album feels more mature, both in topics but also musically. Gone is the overt gospel influences and instead we are treated to something more unique. Adele really managed to dominate the music landscape for a while, with the 3 of 4 first tracks on this album being major hits. Not only were they major, but they also are lasting. I hadn’t realized how many of these tracks I’d heard before – and still hear today. I think the latter parts of the album loses some steam with the gospel fillers. It’s hard to live up to the first few tracks or maybe I’m also just tired of sad piano ballads at that point I think this deserves a 5 star. Not an album I’d normally put on but it is very good.
Hello is a classic. Overall the album is very good. Adele has a great voice.
Podziwiam.
Gotta be one of the best In Your Feels albums to sing-cry it out. Generational talent with a generational breakup banger. "Hello" doesn't resonate with me all the way since it's opposite the worst breakup I experienced but see how it's THE song for a lot of people. I like the upbeat songs "Send my Love" and "Sweetest Devotion." Awesome album, well done Adele.
Incredibly personal
Banger after banger. Great album. Would try to sing along but can’t hit those notes.
Never listened to full album before this, and you hear someone say how good it is, know that is that good
Discazo. Artistaza.
This is awesome! The production is fantastic, the band is great, and Adele is obviously a top tier singer! No notes! Liked Songs: The whole album
Very good 4.5
Beautiful and powerful, loved this album
This is a step up from 21...at least 2 stars up. The music the vocals the lyrics...she's an adult. Bueno. Definitely 5 (pop) stars.
Adele could fart into a microphone and I would rate it five stars
Great listening!
Finally some good fucking food
Amazing talent. My favorite from Adele and one of my most listened to albums on vinyl.
Of course I have heard it many times, but revisiting it, it is incredible over and over again.
Really good. Hello is a classic.
Modern rhythm and beats while being headlined by a classical, strong voice? Yes please. Make the lyrics interesting and beautiful, and its just an easy 5/5.
I don't get the hate in the newest reviews, it's as good as a balladeer album can be, nice, varied songs, great vocals. I actually like it more than 21
Adele has an amazing voice. There are so many hits on this album. It's one of the better pop albums out there.
This was such a moment when it came out. Still holds up. ily Adele
4 ou 5 ?
Adele is a generational talent no notes
Banger after banger, can’t help but sing along, and feel sad. But good.
Adele is an absolute icon. I think when her music went mainstream it’s easy to discount it. But, sitting down and listening to her all the way through makes me realize how fucking iconic she is
Goosebumps.
Talk about using your voice as an instrument!
One of the things I've gotten out of doing this list that hasn't really surprised me is that I'm not too big on more modern pop records. Consider: I was bored to tears by Lana Del Ray's CHEMTRAILS OVER THE COUNTRY CLUB. I was really only fine on Lorde's MELODRAMA. Beyoncé's self-titled album didn't really do too much for me. And Taylor Swift's 1989? I surprisingly liked it more than I didn't, but I still wasn't too hot on it thanks to a few big singles I'd always hated and just couldn't get over. And none of this surprised me, not really. I already know: I'm just not too big into too much modern, contemporary music. Besides a few niche bands, the biggest contemporary artist I'm into is Bruno Mars, and it's only because he's such a master of the modernized retro throwback. Heck, if it wasn't for Weird Al (back when he was releasing albums) and a few online music critics I follow, I'm sure I'd hardly keep up with modern music. I'm just way too satisfied by the older stuff; y'know, I've always felt like I've had an "old soul." So of course this is the modern pop album I've liked the most. Oh, Adele. Critical darling, and perhaps the single best-selling artist of the entire 2010's. I mean, the top two best-selling artists of the decade are 21 and this album, in that order. I suppose it'd make all too much sense for someone with old tastes like me to prefer Adele's classical balladry to more forward-thinking pop music like Lorde. Well, yeah, of course — but also, a bit no, too? 'Coz I wouldn't say that this album is strictly not "classical balladry," at least not in the way you could say 21 was. As a fellow group member of mine points out, 25 leans into a lot of the pop production that'd popped up since 21 had come out. As such, that same group member also says, it could be easy to view 25 as a bit of a "sell out record," if you're into using a term like that. I mean, heck, there's a track or two on here with production like Imagine Dragons songs. It's absolutely not as timeless as 21 was, and that's not not a thing, right? Look, I'm the last person who'll complain about over-production. I love it when a song is stuffed with shit to make it bigger and better than it would've been otherwise. And 25, well, it might not be better than 21, but goodness me if I don't dig it all the way and then some. Goodness, I'm the kinda person who likes a few Imagine Dragons songs — and not just the ones from back when they were "respectable"; I mean stuff like "Believer" and "Zero". Maybe not "Thunder", but darn if I couldn't make an argument to myself for it... So, you take that kinda stuff, and put it together with Adele's voice and ballad pop sensibilities... Yeah, no, it's great. It's just great. I really kinda struggle to think of any problems I have with this approach. I mean, the song on here I enjoyed the least with "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)", and that's only because I remember hearing it on the radio maybe one time too many. And even then, it doesn't really get to me the way "Rumour Has It" from the last album can (as I call it: "OOO-MURR Hahzz Ih"). Besides, whatever over-play burnout I might have from "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" is balanced out by how much I did truly love "When We Were Young". It might be the most "classical balladry"-y song on the entire album, 'coz... I mean, this is just an Elton John song. I can totally hear him singing this, and that is just... Such a compliment to this song. It is incredible, truly. And given that my group isn't gonna get another Elton John album from this list (seriously weird that HONKY CHÂTEAU isn't here), I mean, goodness, it makes hearing this just all that slightly better. So... Yeah. This album might not be as culturally "respected" as an album like MELODRAMA is, but if I'm being 100, stuff like this is just way more up my alley. It's not that I don't wanna like stuff like MELODRAMA; if I could, I would. I feel like I'll get called out for not liking them as much as I know other, more important people do. I'm just kind of... Bored by them, mostly. And that's just a reflection of my tastes. As does how much I like 25: it just never bored me. And I just marvel at the fact that when Adele made this album, she was younger than I am now. She sounds **this mature**, at **25**? Heck, she sounded that mature at **21**. It's nuts. But yeah. It's a feat of timeless ballads like 21 was, but 25 still holds up as a really good album from Adele. And, I mean, anything that proves to me that I can still like pop in the modern era is a positive in my book. I wish I could like more, but, eh, that's just the hand I was dealt, I guess. (But I really did find that Lana Del Ray album just **that** boring. I can absolutely wait to get the other one of hers that's probably on here, goodness...)
The first two tracks might be a bit Eh to me now because of overexposure, but the rest of the track list is just some damn good pop. 4.5 bumped up to 5.
I’m at a 5. It’s not the timeless record “21” was & still is, but I don’t think it was trying to be. This is a much safer affair that leans into a lot of the pop production tricks that had emerged since “21”, relying on an all-star cast of producers that include everyone from Max Martin to Danger Mouse to Bruno Mars, as well as a good chunk of the cast that helped her out on “21”. Does that mean this is Adele’s “sell-out” album or anything? Absolutely not; I found this to be a super enjoyable listen, retaining a lot of the DNA from “21”, just without the same timeless ballad-y tone. That lack of a “timeless” tone led me to think that I knew next to nothing about this album, save for “Hello”, and in many ways, I really didn’t. That said, I had a couple of moments where I hit my “oh, this is that song” epiphany – “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” got me immediately, especially so by the chorus. I’ve genuinely always thought that was a Lorde track, and I don’t think I can be blamed for that; the entire instrumental structure feels super similar to “Royals”. The same thing hit me later in the album with “Water Under the Bridge”, but only by the chorus. So, how about the rest of the album? I enjoyed the whole thing, honestly. It definitely plays itself safer & a bit more sterile, but mileage will vary based on how much you appreciate the slightly overproduced style of the mid-2010s, and for better or worse, I’m a total sucker for it. “I Miss You” feels like an Imagine Dragons track, in a good way. When I was listening, I wrote down that “this is far ‘sexier’ than I’m used to from Adele”, and I think that added sense of confidence permeates throughout the album nicely. “When We Were Young” is just an Elton John track & it’s impossible to not hear it; “you look like a movie, you sound like a song” is a line that feels like it’s ripped straight from his songbook. “Remedy” is pretty good as a ballad to her son, but I think it reveals one of my softer issues with this album; a few of these tracks feel like Adele singing songs that could be covered by other artists without missing too much of a beat. That’s what splits a timeless record from a very good one; “21”’s strength comes in the fact that it’s nigh-impossible to hear anyone but Adele singing a lot of those tracks, a la Aretha Franklin with the albums we’ve gotten from her so far. “Remedy” is a track that sounds like Kelly Clarkson or Rihanna could sing it, and it would keep a lot of the same emotional impact. That’s a mark of really great songwriting, so it’s not too much of an issue, but it does make this album stand out less. “River Lea” goes back to the sort of Imagine Dragons-core with its instrumental, but Danger Mouse makes it work. The lyricism is super strong & it feels like the sort of track where you can’t hear anyone but Adele singing it due to the lyrics. The same applies to “Love in the Dark”, which feels the most like a track from “21”, and it shows. The orchestral overtones give it some great gravitas, and her vocals flow on that thing. I really like the intimacy of “Million Years Ago”; her vocals channel Mariah Carey a little bit, it’s very well-written, and the guitar-driven approach worked for me a lot. “All I Ask” & “Sweetest Devotion” are a hell of a 1-2 punch to close the album out on; Bruno Mars is one of my favorite artists ever, and his fingerprints are all over the former. Granted, it does sound like Adele’s doing her best to just match Bruno’s likely demo recording of it, but the man can write a damn good ballad, and the key change at the end of that track really pulls it all together. I wish it had been a duet, honestly. “Sweetest Devotion” just rules; the percussion & electric guitar really make the track pop as a closer, and Adele’s vocals carry a lot of strength that makes the lyricism (devoted to her son) hit even harder. It’s kind of structured like a Coldplay track, which is a net positive for me. So, yes, I still *really* enjoyed this. I have no idea how a number of these tracks missed me a decade ago, especially given that this is the second-best selling album of the 2010s (behind, you guessed it, “21”) & the fourth-best selling album of the century so far. In particular, I have no idea how I missed “All I Ask”, since I was huge on Bruno at the time, & “When We Were Young”, which is probably my favorite one here. Even though I’m late to the party, it’s better late than never. I do think this will bounce off of people more easily than “21”, since it’s far more poppy & a little more sterile by comparison; even if that’s the case, I think the floor here is a 3, since there aren’t any bad tracks & Adele’s voice is still magical on a lot of these. It’s not a 10 to my ears, but it’s certainly an easy 5.
Just a beautiful voice.
obviously
Not in my usual wheel house, but definitely an iconic album and voice.
Gorgeous. Not usually my kind of music, but this one is beautiful. I've heard so many of the singles before and could appreciate them artistically, but this was my first time going through the whole album.
Adele's "25": A Masterclass in Emotional Precision ★★★★★ (5/5 stars) Fine, let's be honest here—Adele has weaponized the human larynx to create what amounts to a sonic truth serum, and the results are annoyingly brilliant. Yes, "25" is essentially an album-length therapy session where you're both the patient and the one paying the bill, but it's performed by someone with the vocal precision of a emotional surgeon and the songwriting instincts of someone who's clearly been taking notes during every heartbreak humanity has ever experienced. "Hello" doesn't just open the album—it kicks down the door of your emotional defenses with the subtlety of a velvet-wrapped sledgehammer, and somehow you're grateful for the intrusion. The production throughout is so lush and cinematic that Rick Rubin and Greg Kurstin have essentially created a soundtrack for your feelings that makes even mundane Tuesday evening melancholy sound Oscar-worthy. Even when Adele attempts something resembling optimism on "Send My Love," she does it with such calculated charm that you can't help but admire the craftsmanship of someone who can make heartbreak sound like a luxury experience. The album's emotional arc—from devastating opener to the quietly devastating closer—follows a trajectory so perfectly calibrated that it feels less like a collection of songs and more like a masterclass in how to translate the messiness of human relationships into something that sounds like it was composed by angels who specialize in breaking hearts for a living. Adele has somehow managed to make an album that's simultaneously too sad for casual listening and too beautifully crafted to ignore, which is probably the most annoying kind of artistic achievement possible—when someone creates something so devastatingly effective that you can't even properly complain about how devastated it makes you feel.
Adele's got it all. Incredible voice, charismatic persona, prolific songwriting and a great taste for music. She leans heavily into neo-soul, blues and r&b but keeps it to the moody core. Even when she's singing about happy things. She hits every emotion in her songwriting, so despite the moody blues being her core, this record doesn't feel like sad girl rock. Her pop songs absolutely slap, they're interesting and layered. She plays with genres without getting over her skis and straying too far from what she's good at. Every time we get an Adele album, I'm stoked, because they're all so good and easy to listen too. We are lucky to alive at the same time as Adele.
Having listened to many albums in the list, I can appreciate this album better. It is one of the best albums by one of the best artists in our generation. I liked many albums in the list, but so far this is one that I can relate the most. Can’t believe it’s been 10 years now. 25 grow old with me.
Fantastic album. She could’ve made a career with just her artistry or her vocal performance but she wields both expertly. “Hello” is a masterpiece of heartbreak. It understands so much about what looking back at something real is like, and how even being the one to call it doesn’t free you of the feeling of loss for that love. And then the very next song is “send my love to your new lover”. Hilarious. All the emotion and depth of love and then she’s like but for real I’m good, treat your new girlfriend better. The rest of the album is very solid as well. I already had 8/11 of the songs saved and I think I’m maintaining that 8, but to be fair this is like the 10th time I’ve listened to this album.
so, i have never listened to a full Adele album prior to this one. i can probably also say i haven't heard much past her radio hits. which, to be fair, she has been pretty dang famous since '08 and has had a lot of hits. but, thats all the context i went into this album with. that being said, absolutely blown away by 25. 'Hello' and 'Send My Love' are bangers, but i absolutely fell in love with 'I Miss You', 'Million Years Ago' and 'All I Ask'. For an 11 track album, though the range of the lyrics is all about moving on from a relationship that took a turn, all of the songs are just so incredibly powerful. her voice is incredible, its so powerful and every note carries a the full scale of her emotions and expresses it. incredible piece of work.
Just masterful soulful singing on display here. I think all I ask is one of the best songs of the 21st century. A beautiful simple piano melody topped with a deceptively difficult vocal from Adele. The build up to the third chorus key change is phenomenal. In the first two choruses she pulls back a little bit by using her falsetto and by the time you get to the third she just punches straight through it, leaving the listener stunned. Fun fact, Bruno mars helped write this song. Ton of other great songs here as well.
Absolutely phenomenal, so good I listened to it twice and then went through more of her songs. Adele has an incredible voice and the singles from this album are certified bangers. The b-sides are also great songs and really there’s no better artist when it comes to contemplating life and getting in your feels. It’s not my personal favorite album of her’s, but it’s fantastic nonetheless. Easy five stars.
"Hello", "Send My Love", "When We Were Young", and "Water Under the Bridge" are all songs that I have never put on myself but I know intimately from all of the radio plays they've gotten. They're great songs mind you! Everyone is going to say that Adele has an amazing voice, but I also like that you can tell how she changes and evolves with her song writing as she gets older. It's always about some sort of hardship, but that hardship is ever changing. The rest of the album is beautiful and it's hard to give this a low rating. It's probably a 9/10 album for me, but the radio plays and cultural impact rounds it up to 5 stars.
Increíble
her voice kinda grabs your interest, sounding strong and emotive
While not as powerful as '21', this is still a perfect example of Adele's power and appeal.
Så jäkla bra popballader
I like it quite a lot. There's a lot of heartfelt songs and with some simple, yet fitting instrumentation
Oh shit, I guess I like Adele!
Adele… Adele… Listen to me... youre ONLY 25 All the themes here are very mid life. From a dudes perspective, I dont hear many 25 year olds openly say “we were sad of getting older, made us restless” or “life was a party to be thrown, but that was a million years ago” and be super nostalgic for things that were maybe 2 years ago. Perhaps the “young mother” perspective is what is new to me here, but damn, Adele, you gotta take deep inhale. Youve got 10 more years before you can respectably start to feel that way. Production wise, its super clear that is album is on another level. All the vocal tracks are so damn clear and tasteful with even modest quality headphones. Definitely experienced a few jaw droppers during Send My Love and Water Under The Bridge while trying to focus in on the chorus vocals. All the (rather simple) instruments and Adeles voice are balanced together so well. 10/10, chefs kiss
I don't know, I just love Adele. It's some weird nostalgia to me. Some of her best songs are on this album - I love Million Years Ago (underrated!), When We Were Young, Send My Love (TYNL) Water Under The Bridge... Grammy-winning, important album to me. So yeah, 5 stars.
Adele is a once-in-a-generation talent and this album is a testament to that. I was expecting all maudlin ballads but there are some good mid-tempo songs that bring some energy. Overall, this is a fantastic album! Favorites: Hello, I Miss You, Water Under the Bridge, Sweetest Devotion Would I listen to it again: Yes
This is a great album. From the melancholy yearning straight in the damn right defiance of send my love this is a tour de force. Adele delivers every line with such controlled power you have to pay attention.
Well I didn't expected to like it.. but what can I say, it is a very good album Fav song - When We Were Young 5/5
A lovely album, all the way through, don't you think?
I want to find a reason to give it less than a 5, but I just can’t. It’s a perfect pop album. I’d love to hear her sing jazz or something more challenging because she has a great voice.
Amazing voice. Amazing songwriting.
Great album
Unbelievable how many hits are on this album.
Adele is gucci.
A huge classic.
10/10
So many iconic songs on this album. Her voice from the slow low songs to the high notes... A true 5/5 for me.
Fun! A little same-y but I really enjoyed it
Fabulous sophomore album with period defining global hits Rolling In The Deep and I Set Fire To The Rain. Adele is an original voice filled with nuance and emotion, often sad and wistful, but ultimately powerful and triumphant through all heartaches.
Excellent
No notes, mostly bangers, great album
AHHHHH I adore this album!!!! I love everything about it. Water under the bridge is one of my absolute favourites of all time.
Pop ballads. Soul feeling. She’s got a lovely haunting voice.
This is an all-time classic album. I don't consider myself an overly enthusiastic fan of hers, but this album hits every note and is well-constructed. Excellent offering!
21 is better but hello my favorite song by her still peak
Adele is the same age as Tswift...
Mmmm I'm feeling good today, "River Lee" and "Miss you" are right up my alley so I'll be extra generous and give this a 4.5⭐ Adele babygirl you know I love you
Amazing singer. Beautiful voice. Great songs. One of my favorites.
Loved this. Adele can SING!
Great album, pretty much every song is brilliant. Nearly didn’t listen to it but glad I did
10/10 no notes Adele can do no wrong
Objectively and subjectively incredible
Love in the dark, million years ago, and all I ask of you is one of my favorite three song run!
Givin' me the feels.
Goddess. No notes
Classic and lovely
Oof, what a powerhouse of a voice. She comes out so strong with Hello it really just carries you through the rest of the album which is still pretty good in its own right. I really can't think of reason not to give it full marks.
Starts off CRAZY strong. The songs are so well written, and the vocal performance is absolutely crazy. I knew this was going to be good, but I was expecting a bit of cheesyness, but this is just straight up a great album.
Another easy 5 star for me. I listened to a good number of these on the radio but not the whole album and as a 25 year old understandable bangers. While I don't hold the exact same feelings she does as about her age at this time, it does resonant and slap. Bangers all around.
adele is really just chock full of quality tunes. Someone who is able to use relatively stripped back instrumentation and simple pop sensibilities to form this luscious and beautiful sound that feels sincere and also playful at the same time.
It’s Adele. This album won 5 Grammys for a reason.
This is the first Adele album I have listened to, but it’s the best one by far. I did not expect to like this one as much as I did. River Lea was a standout for me. Adele good.
5/5
Very good surprise. I was like "oh no Adele, I'm not a teenager". Pff how sad I can be. It was very good
BIG Adele guy
Banger of an album
Her deservedly so breakthrough album demonstrating magnificent vocal range. A classic of the years, 9/10.
What can I say that hasn’t been said about Adele? Her voice is powerful, oozing with tone and richer than eggnog. The songwriting is simple but the melodies are interesting and again, that voice. She took over the pop world for a reason.
Straight fire. How she sing like that?
This album still speaks to me nearly a decade later. Beautifully done album filled with all the feelings I couldn't verbalize about my relationships. I forgot how much I loved this album.
5 out of 5 baby. All day long.
Heart touching music, 10 out of 10.
# Album Name: 25 # Artist: Adele # Rating: 5/5 # Comments: Adele has a wonderful voice. It’s spectacular. The album has plenty of good tracks. For me, this is an album of ballads with a few pop songs. There is a somber undertone of the album which does begin to take its toll. But the tracks are solid and enjoyable. There’s just something missing from the album which would take it to the next level. Adele definitely has the potential but i think she should try a more soulful approach in the future. Either way, this is still a great album. Not up with there with the best of the best though. I'd probably give this a 4.5. # Top Tunes: Plenty of good tunes on this one. # Would I listen to it again? Yes
The voice, the emotion, iconic. I still remember where I was when I heard Hello for the first time.
Classic, one of the greatest of all time.
honestly loved it. some tracks are too pop for me but all in all great
I'm biased
⭐ • "I Miss You" • "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" 👍 • "When We Were Young" • "Love In The Dark" • "All I Ask"
Forgot how much I loved the songs on here that weren’t singles
Wow. I had no idea how talented this woman is.
already love
Beautiful album. It definitely suffers a little bit from mainstreamism but when those songs are viewed with the whole it tells this very emotional story. Adele really did a lot with a little here.
One of the most striking and powerful albums I've ever listened to. Such raw yet subdued emotions, and a range from soaring highs to crushing lows. An absolute joy to listen to. No weak spots or songs either, just a top tier album
Brilliant record. Great songs well arranged and expertly sung.
4.5/5
Liked it. Never gave this artist a listen through before this
Adele could sing the menu at a restaurant and it would bring the house down. That heartstopping voice is second to none.
Really enjoyed this. Think it was really good. Much better than i gave credit initially.
10/10 Didnt think I would enjoy this as much as I did. Adeles voice and lyrics are just incredible Favourite Song= All I Ask Least Favourite Song=N/A
Easy 5. I bought this album on iTunes when it came out because I loved it so much. The voice of an angel!
All I have to say about this album is that it is a work of art and that "All I Ask" is one of the best songs in the history of music and, I dare say, in Adele's discography. Fuck if what Adele sings is "the same old thing", she always does it with competence and mastery. A legend!
I love this album. BRB going to go sob.
First time I got an Adele album I thought she was some lame pop star like Lady Gaga and instead I was absolutely blown away by her music. This lady is in a class and genre of her own. Awesome
I'm a big singalong in the car kinda guy. I respect the hell out of this for being something I can't even try to sing along to. I'm glad we got 21 before we got 25 because the difference is palpable. The music is richer, the album flow feels better, and the themes are slightly less high school. Send My Love is such a great track.
As it turns out, Adele is very talented. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.
No words for the amount of love I have for Adele. Her vocal skill is something to be fascinated by and envy at the same time. She is absolutely incredible lyrics and vocals together.
This is very well produced. It’s all so clear. She’s an amazing singer and will likely stand the test of time as such.
love love love 5 stars i love adele
I forgot how much this album slaps. Adele such a beautiful voice. Brought me right back to freshman year of college
I have all of her music! Love
Adele's voice is just so damn good. She might be one of the best modern female vocalists??? While her vocal performance carries the album, it's well deserved, and the album is pretty intentionally built around her performance. The hits also bump this up a touch for me. The album floor is very high, every song is excellent in quality. But the hits show how high her ceiling is. To say anything other than Adele is one of the best modern musicians/vocalists/recording artists, is to admit ignorance. Favorite Song(s): Hello, Send My Love, Water Under the Bridge
Easily one of my favorite female vocalists. Just a bucket of goose pimples on this one. … would be weird listening to this if you were her ex though … some uh… regret in there.
God what a spectacular artist.
Gorgeous
Love Adele's voice... great album
Following up her previous album was never going to be easy, but Adele found a way. While I prefer 21 for myself, I have to acknowledge that 25 is a great album. Starting off with Hello, which you couldn't avoid when initially released, she sets the tone for the album right away that she is back with her beautiful voice. I think the next couple songs were slightly lower in quality but when you get to When We Were Young, the album fully hits it stride. I would probably give this album a 4.5 with half stars and have it closer to a 4.75 overall.
Great album, great artist. Adele poppin off in this pop album.
Amazing album. Every song is very strong. Easy 5
really good album even though i just couldn't like 2 of the songs since i had heard them a hundred million times Favorite Song: Love In The Dark
For some reason, I thought I was too cool to give this 5* but you know what, I'm not. Absolute corker, enjoyed every track and some of the lyrics are bonafide poetry.
Wow, it’s impossible to hate adele
It's undeniably good. So much passion in her voice
This album was the Jagged Little Pill of 2015, half the album ended up as massive singles, every person I knew loved it at the time and now no one admits they ever liked Adele. Good songs, she has a great voice. This album was definitely overrated. Even as singles I'm not loving these songs as much as I did when it came out. I Miss You is good though, Skyfall feeling (great Bond song). Maybe it's more of an exhaustion issue with the singles? When We Were Young was the best of the hits, reminds me of her cover of Dylan's Make You Feel My Love. It's hilarious when she talks about getting older and being young at the age of 25. This is a great song. Water Under the Bridge is also better than I remember, maybe it is just Hello and Send My Love (To Your Lover) that got overplayed (still are?). River Lea, Love In The Dark, both good. Maybe it is only the hits that are overrated. All I Ask was produced by Bruno Mars and you can hear it, another good one. I stand corrected, this album is underrated. Despite everyone complaining about Beyonce not winning Album of the Year, this was a deserving choice.
Great variety, from Sigrid-esque pop, to orchestral, to almost almost a country lean in the last song. And a fantastic voice, of course
I loved it Very nostalgic for me Last few songs I enjoyed less but overall an amazing album would give 4.5 but will round up
Amazing as always
Fantastic album
Favorite Track: Love In The Dark
Thoughts on Adele 25: Adele has the distinction of being the only artist I've ever heard on a retail PA that made me find an employee and ask with feverish urgency, "WHO IS THIS????" She's always blown me away, and paying proper attention to this album, she's done it again. The woman has IT just raining off of her. The first two tracks are perfect. Unimprovable. "Water Under the Bridge" was so good I had to go back and listen to it 3 more times. There are a few songs that suffer from "poem stapled onto song" syndrome - those are inevitably the weakest songs - but the production is strong enough and her performance is always so powerfully heartfelt that she still sells it and makes it work, even when I'm wishing the whole song that she'd put it through another draft. But overall, WOW. What a singer. What a songwriter. You never know, but I'd bet big fat money they're still talking about her in 100 years.
Great album, highly recommend listening to again. Her voice is top notch, really relaxing and nice to listen to. Her vocals really drive the song. 9.0/10.
Perfection
1000/10. This album is a masterpiece from performance to recording.
A really good album by Adele, I've never heard all of it before but it was fantastic!
Good music and what a powerful voice
Was good to listen to it again!
Her voice is amazing
Probably my favorite album so far. Maybe because I know it, have listened to the whole thing several times. But also maybe because it’s brilliant.
Great
Great Album
Definitely get the hype. It conveyed a great mood, and her voice expressed it beautifully.
I was skeptical But it is winning me over. This is a massive talent. I won’t exactly listen to it again because it’s not a genre that works for me, but big respect. I’m sold
classic
