What a gem! I guess this stuff didn't make it to my 14 year old ears and I am not certain I would have got it then... not sue I do now fully. I do know it's an abolute treat.

Enjoyable. Sucker for Peter Hook's driving baselines but only knew the big songs from New Order. Liked this.
Enjoyed the vibe then about 2/3 of the way through it felt very repetitive and skipped the last 1/3.
One of my favourite albums ever, amazing opening four tracks. Title song was written off experiences he had with Iggy pop travelling across eastern europe on trains. Beautiful.
First 5 songs are amazing, including my two favourite of Bruce's Highway Patrolman and Atlantic City. From there it drifts a little but still great!
Really not for me
Had me in the first half, not gonna lie
Radiohead entirely passed me by when they came out. Glad I'm able to listen now pretty much for the first time, outside the singles. This was a joy!
One of the all time classics
Pompus but with some knockout moments
Unlistenable for me
Was fun for a bit but Steel Panther and Strongbad mean I can't give this an honest shake.
This was fine, 22 years later it really feels of it's time.
What a gem! I guess this stuff didn't make it to my 14 year old ears and I am not certain I would have got it then... not sue I do now fully. I do know it's an abolute treat.
That was crap. At best it was audition to be the next James Bond chanteuse.
I really feel like I should like this more but having tried it a few years ago and again a few times since, it just doesn't move me hugely. I like The Kinks in general, right through 70s and 80s. I feel like the conceptual nature of this album elevates it's standing.
Some absolute classics on here with some middling tunes filling the gaps. Listened on a bus at 3.30am so may have been a bit emotional but really enjoyed it.
Very nice, would have loved if more was like bluebird wine but was a really pleasant listen.
Clearly a huge influence for so much including Nichola Jaar and Darkside. Kind of love it but also won't ever listen to it again and this was my 3rd effort.
Kind of fun, hadn't heard it before.
Beck can do it all. Album sounds amazing almost 30 years later dimpym due to its originality and Becks unique voice and style.
Absolute roller!
Cool - only knew a few songs but this was great. Saved Space Beatle.
Never got in to them first time around and I could understand that this got overplayed and annoyed people. but it is a phenomenal piece of work.
Loads of belterd then it sounds today like a mid range soul / disco album. Brings it back at the end with some beauts.
Did not enjoy thank you very much
Fun listen but not really for me in its entirety. Saved one or two songs
Nice, one track I really liked. I see the transition into funk and think there's a really interesting band in the temptations that I'd like to know more about. Some of the harmonies are show stoppers
Great run in the middle from Milk and some great memories. Sounds a little dated.
Some bangers but I think I just like the hits
Didn't really listen to this in it's time. It's strange, beyond golden skans and it's not over yet I fon't recognise any of these songs. But those two were big in my life for a time. And then the album shows a greater deal of depth and variety than I would have expected. I loved Kasier Chiefs and Hard-Fi and could sing entire albums of theirs to you but they are very one note by comparison. Enjoyable. I wish there was a 2.5 starts options but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and go for 3. If someone put this on I'd let it all play.
Found myself jamming at times but also switching it off.
The back half was really enjoyable. I know the cure have this goth wave thing but I'm mostly familiar with love cats and Friday I'm in love so this is totally new for me. Liked it.
No. Just no.
I don't like metal but this album is undeniable
Didn't expect this to go so hard and kind of funky at times
Least favourite of the Berlin trilogy. Back half is mostly noise and then a song about Arabia...which kind of slaps to be fair
Vibey 80s afro-pop. What's not to like.
Daydream, nostalgia, honky, pop rock
Worse than I remember somehow
I tend to like folk but this sounds quite a bit like crying to me.
May be controversial but I only enjoyed it, nothing more.
It was fine, not sure why I'd listen to it again though.
This is wonderful!
At 28 mins it was mercifully short. Still couldn't finish it saved by pink moon
Unlistenable, frankly. It's a tough exercise because I just can't with certain genres but it might be the best of it's kind
Wish I had heard this in my teens
Unlistenable
I mean fine but what even is this project. It's been a rough week.
Fairly unpenetrable
An unbelievable time capsule mix of pop, disco, and punk. There were some reggae chords in there at time. Great listen.
That's one of the best listening experiences you can have. One side of hits and the next side is a dreamy pop journey. Amazing
Absolute roller - soulful and folky.
Icelandic happy Mondays
What a find, love it
Could see people absolutely losing their shit over this in the 90s. where is my mind still an all time classic.
Saved from 1 by Been Caught Stealing
2 absolute bangers but mostly complaining
Started brilliantly and thought i was going to love it. Back half was a bit of a slot but one or two saves.
Yeah, that slaps. A few bangers, a few sick covers, and 2 stone cold classics
Sex, funk, in your face attitude and one of the all time classics of the 80s. Some of the lyricism is a little on the nose but she pulls it off and tonally this album doesn't up, all of one piece without feeling repetitive.
Fun but gets a little repetitive
Slaps hard. very fun.
Nearly 4 - great treat of a find. Rocks
Come on, man. I had a rough night and I hate the f***in' Eagles, man!
Very meh
Always a good time
Really pleasant surprise. I am not into psychedelic / prog typically but I think this was an early effort and I can totally get behind the vocal storytelling piece towards the end.
Loved this album. Knew some of the songs before and am a Lana Del Ray fan but this I was driving at night and the back half of this album was a magical, beautiful listen.
This is by far the biggest surprise I've had here. Was so prepared to skip this as folk really doesn't do it for me but this absolutely rocked.
Not her for whatever this is
Again, another foundational text. I come and go with REM and really only love this album. Epnoymous and some of the earlier songs like Radio Free Europe absolutely rock and I think this has elements of that early stuff, matched with a maturing band, creating a musical peak. But the songs are so rich even when they go into political stuff or high emotionality the storytelling, harmonies, and interesting musical turns keep it moving. Lots of harmonica and mandolin. Also, one of the best closing songs of all time.
Amazing jazzy listen...nice
Pretty terrible album saved from a 1 by angels
Really tough one - loved the bangers on this album as a kid, and the next album too. But that's my teenage memory, I know if I heard this today I'd hate some of the melodies and instrumentation. Slot it in as a 3, satisfying nobody.
Some classics but a bit long and boring. Rap albums of the time had a lot of this going on
Look, this is a personal response and I can't really get around reggae like this.
Feel like I should report on some sport.
The most 5/5 album ever from the most 0/5 person ever.
