Really good album, still like revolver more tho. Songs that stood out to me, Oh! Darling, I want you (she’s so heavy), she came in through in the bathroom window
As a kid, I thought I didn't like the Beatles. My friends had gotten into them and from what I heard through them I thought they were an old boy band. I held this belief for years and never gave them a shot. When I got my first job at 15, I used my first paycheck to buy a budget record player (something I had wanted for years) and was soon gifted "Let it Be" and "Abbey Road" from family friends. At the time I wished that I had gotten albums that I wanted myself but soon came to realise the power of gifting music. I gave both these records a try and was absolutely blown away by what I heard on "Abbey Road". The ideas of a boy band had disappeared with songs like "Come Together", "Oh Darling!", and especially "I Want You (She's So Heavy)". And the genius of the medley on the B side was an amazing listening experience. It made me rethink the Beatles but it also made me rethink music. There were many aspects of this record that I have never heard before from any other group in the last 50 years. This album has stuck as one of my favourites and so have the Beatles. Overall - 9.7 Maxwell's Silver Hammer knocks off 0.3

This was one of the first albums i've ever fully listened to and hearing the medley for the first time has changed me forever. It's the album that made me love albums. Just perfect.

One week, two Beatles albums. After listening to Abbey Road for the third time I made up my mind - this is my favourite Beatles record and also one of the more pleasant albums to listen to, that are older than 50 years. It also has a song that I most enjoyed, written by Lennon "I Want You (she's so heavy)". It's basically like watching (or listening) to a documentary about the early beginnings of progressive rock. Also, I was very positively surprised by some vocal techniques presented by everyone, but especially Paul. Ah, and important to point out, my second favourite song by The Beatles is from this album as well - "Something" written by Harrison. Really great and slightly melancholic piece. Remarkable album.
What's not to love here? (If you say "Octopus's Garden" I've got three words for you: "haters gonna hate." It's a jaunty song that's fun to sing along to, and it pairs exceptionally well with "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" on the album "Love," which you should definitely check out if you haven't already.) I'll admit that "Sun King" is probably a throwaway track, and the medley on the back end of the album might leave casual fans scratching their heads a bit, but c'mon. "Something;" "Come Together;" "Maxwell's Silver Hammer;" "Because;" and my favorite of the bunch, "Oh, Darling!" This is all top-notch shit. It's probably not my favorite Beatles album, but it's easily top 5 and unquestionably 5 stars.
One of the best albums by one of the best bands.
How can you go wrong with this Beatles classic. So many amazing songs. I never paid much attention to Maxwell's Silver Hammer, but damn what a happy sounding song with such horrific lyrics. Love it. So much in the album to love. And it still holds up perfectly.

One of the best. Ever. I hear something new (unintended Beatles call-out) on it every time I listen. After the mess of the Get Back sessions, they decided to get back (totally intended) together to finish things off properly. That they did. A fine collection of songs that also functions as a whole.
The first full "grown up" vinyl ever given to me. Christmas from my Aunt. To this day one of my favourites, doesn't hurt as a memory but a great album that never bores me. That's an easy 5 stars. And yes, I did listen to it again just for this, because again. Beatles, Abbey Road.

Are there any bad tracks on this album? I'm not sure there are. There are some that aren't as good as the others, but I'm not sure there's anything outright *bad* about this, and there's plenty that's outright awesome.
I means its Abbey Road by The Beatles, need I say anymore? I don't but I will anyway. "Come Together" is just a perfect song that I never tire of. "Something" is also a perfect track, one so good that Harrison thought he must have heard the melody and stolen it accidently. You can thank James Taylor for the intro line and George getting the motivation for finishing the song. "Octopus's Garden" might be one of the stranger Beatles songs, especially on this album, but it is such a damn good song. "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" might be some of McCartney's best bass work, and the rest of the track was, well, heavy and dark and just groovy as hell. "Here Comes The Sun" is yet another perfect song on this album, the contrast of the bright optimistic tone of this song in comparison to the prior song is the best way to open up the back half of the album. I can admit that the back half of the album is a little weak, but that doesn't take away from it being a 5 star album. The sheer number of time this album cover has been recreated should immediately qualify it, I would venture to say this is the most recreated album cover of all time. Fantastic album by an obviously fantastic band. Justifiably the highest rated album on the website.

Seminal album, explores telhe depth of the band and some silly moments as well. Guitar is just spot on across the tracks, and Ringo really shows his chops.

There’s a very fine reason this is considered the fab fours finest moment. Top to bottom there’s amazing songs. Whether it starts with the fantastically titled “Come Together” or the perfectly named “The End”. Banger after banger can be heard here.
Listened on vinyl. 9.5/10. A few songs that seem more like filler than anything else, but nothing I need to skip and a lot of fantastic songs throughout. I Want You is probably my favorite Beatles song ever. I like how everything flows together on the B side. Sun King is an obvious nod to Albatross from Fleetwood Mac. Come Together - 9.5/10 Something - 8.5/10 Maxwell's - 4.5/10 Oh! An unequivocal masterpiece but also a very clear reminder of why it was time for the Beatles to all go their own way. Octopus's Garden next to Come Together and Golden Slumbers? It was time but thank goodness we got this first
What's not to like about this album? The Golden Slumbers -> The End is one the most fantastic endings to album of all time, Harrison gets more songwriting time on this album with two slaps: Something and Here comes the sun. Also worth noting: we previously listened to A Hard Day's Night, which came out in 1964. This album, five years later, is completely unrecognizable from that era of Beatles. Five years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Name another band which had such a rapid career arc. You can't!

Been a long time since I've listened to it start to finish.
Always a classic, even if the Beatles are sometimes regarded as the pumpkin spice lattes of these “best album” lists. Honestly the transition from Polythene Pam to She Came in Through the Bathroom Window is one of the best of all time.
There's something about albums recorded by bands fraught with tension - more often than not they end up being shit, but once in awhile you get something like Abbey Road or Rumours. "Come Together" is a fantastic opening salvo, and the immediate switch of gears into "Something" is a nice touch. "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" is... "Maxwell's Silver Hammer." Not the finest moment in The Beatles catalogue, nor their history. "Octopus's Garden" was one of my early favourites when I first started exploring the lads from Liverpool. "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is a BEAST! Billy Preston is an incredible addition to the group here. "Here Comes The Sun" led to one of my favourite Nina Simone recordings. "Golden Slumbers" is one of my favourite later life/deep cut discoveries. Five-star album through and through. "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" can be forgiven for the fact that this album also brought us McLemore Avenue by Booker T & The M.G.'s and George Benson's The Other Side of Abbey Road.
So many classics. Paul McCartney’s songwriting skills are so evident in the second half of the album I love how each song flows into the next. Hot take tho not top 3 in their discography 🫢

Ладно, первым делом стоит сказать, что мне действительно понравилось, они определённо заслуживают похвалы, потому что записанные на этом альбоме песни звучат действительно хорошо, хоть и слегка заезженно. Здесь стоит обратить внимание на довольно трепетное отношение к деталям - небольшие звуковые дополнения на некоторых треках создают впечатление того, что весь этот альбом записывался с большим трудом и любовью, иначе не объяснить эту простую гениальность, которая слышится в инструментах из трека к треку. Наверное как раз из-за этой простоты людям и нравятся Битлз. К вокалу и тексту тоже нет никаких претензий, всё было на высоте и после прослушивания у меня остался тёплый след на душе, чем может похвастаться не каждый альбом. (8.5)

Touched by divine genius
This is the Beatles album I've been waiting for. It's the perfect mix of the Beatles experimental and songwriting genius sides. The opening track, Come Together, is the perfect example of this. They may have been struggling to work together at this stage, but individually each Beatle was on top form for this album. Here Comes the Sun and Something are arguably George's two best songs, I Want You (She's So Heavy) is classic Lennon, and Paul did a great job with the medley that forms most of Side 2. Even Octopuses Garden is Ringo doing Ringo to perfection. The Fab Four living up to the hype. Rating: 5/5 Playlist track: Come Together Date listened: 13/12/22
What can I say that hasn’t been said? I will say, there’s a couple songs on here that really made me think about knocking it to a 4/5 (I’m looking at you, Maxwell) however the rest of the album more than makes up for a couple silly ones. Iconic song after iconic song. The last 3 songs are such an experience. The build into Carry That Weight makes me want to SCREAM every single time. A gorgeous album.
One of the best ever. Big fan of all Beatles, esp. Rubber Soul and after. Abbey Road one of the best. Favorite lyric: “And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.”
A serious contender for the best album of all time. I have heard this entire album plenty of times and hear the songs present often, and while I have pages I could write about the amount of amazement this album holds within, I worry that this may have a word limit, and so I will keep it brief in saying this is just immaculately made, and while nothing here is my favorite Beatles' song, many come close. Perhaps not my favorite Beatles' album, but easily the best, and no matter what a 5 star. One of the few albums that deserves the overwhelming amount of praise it gets.

"Come Together", "Something", "Here Comes The Sun", "I Want You (She's So Heavy)", the 'medley' at the end... So many great tracks. Plus, the Beatles basically invented the "modern" album, with this one and the white one, plus *Rubber Soul*, *Sgt. Pepper* and *Revolver*. How can one *not* include those on a list like this? My second favorite (after Sergeant Pepper's). There is some validity to the criticism that it's too much Paul and not enough John, but it has some absolute classics "Here Comes the Sun", "Something", "She Came in through the Bathroom Window".

I probably still like Revolver and Rubber Soul a little better, but they're all 5 stars in my book. Great album. George was really starting to come into his own and contribute in a meaningful way. I know they took some slack for all of the effects and instrumentation, but they were really pioneers in retrospect.

I've never realized it until listening to this album just now that four individual tracks, starting with Sun King are not all just one. Until now I thought all four were one continuous track. [Sun King / Mean Mr. Mustard / Polythene Pam / She Came in Through the Bathroom Window] Not the best Beatles album in my opinion, side one and side two have different vibes. Regardless, this good enough to make this list. Hard to imagine ever scoring the Beats at a less than five. But this rides just above the cusp of a four.
This could nearly be a 5 star album on the strength of the two George Harrison songs alone. Adding Come Together, Oh Darling!, and Golden Slumbers and Carry That Weight seals the deal. The rest is the most delicious gravy possible. The genius that is the bulk of side 2 is as audacious as it is tuneful. It just doesn’t get better than this.

The Beatles ditching some of the experimental stuff and returning to making a great album with a few janky tunes. Some of the songs on here are up there with the best they ever did. Hard to argue.

While it isn't the best ever Beatles album, it still has some of their greatest ever songs (and song fragments). Maxwell's Silver hammer can fuck off into the sun. That aside, lots to love. I Want You (she's so heavy). Two of Georgie's Best. Because. I Want You (she's so heavy). Remembering watching Ringo and George working through Octopuses Garden in its infancy on Get Back. Oh Darlin. The medley! I Want You (she's so heavy)!!!! Seriously that song is just the best.

Geheel terzijde, uit de lijst is dit het eerste album dat ik a) wel eens gehoord had, b) in mijn bezit heb, c) als LP heb, d) als picture disc heb (en daardoor niet eens vaak geluisterd).
-"Come Together is just a killer song with an iconic drumbeat. Idk the interaction between the drums and bass makes a dope beat. The lyrics are totally nonsensical as far as I know but they are still dope. -"Maxwell's Silver Hammer" is an absolute banger I don't care how goofy it is -The jump in intensity in "Oh Darling!" is dope. Also the yelling bits are mega intense and very fun to sing along to -OI OI GOOD JOB RINGO "Octopus's Garden" IS A RIGHT JOLLY CHUNE, VERY SPLENDID AND ABSOLUTELY SILLY SCENARIO (octopuses don't have gardens, so it is very silly) -"I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is a super heavy tune with a great breakdown. I love the shredding keyboards -The drum, bass,and cool voice after the kick in in "You Never Give Me Your Money" is cool. The guitar like 2/3 of the way in has cool licks as well -"Mean Mr Mustard" and "Polythene Pam" are totally bangers. Both a quick, right little songs with lots going on that just get stuck in your head -"The End" is just an absolute banger with such a good drum solo from Ringo (as much as I hate to admit it) and some sweet guitar shredding. -"The End" is really an incredible way to end their recording career and the final line being "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make" is really beau-OH SHIT out of nowhere here's "Her Majesty" to screw that whole idea up /sidenote -The medley isn't quite the smooth medley that everyone claims. It has some great song transitions, but also has some starts and stops. I'd argue it's more like this: (slashes denote 2 different songs, arrow means they flow together) -You Never Give Me Your Money/Sun King>Mean Mr Mustard>Polythene Pam>She Came In Through The Bathroom Window>Golden Slumbers>Carry That Weight>The End/Her Majesty /end sidenote -For me, this album's songs are in 4 tiers: 1) Godly songs: "Come Together," "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," "Octopus's Garden," "I Want You (She's So Heavy)," "Mean Mr Mustard," Polythene Pam," and "The End" 2) Good Songs: "Oh! Darling!," "You Never Give Me Your Money," "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window," "Golden Slumbers," "Carry That Weight," and "Her Majesty" 3) Fine songs: "Here Comes The Sun" and "Sun King" 4) Songs I don't really care for and I am aware I will be crucified for: "Something" and "Because" -All in all, the album got bangers and good tunes and flows and they really do be crossing the street on the cover
One of the greatest albums ever put to vinyl. A real mastepiece. Some of The Beatles' best tracks are on this album, even the more silly songs like Maxwell's Silver Hammer are pretty good here. However the absolute best part of this album is The Meddley. A true classic in every meaning of that word.

Another album where I'm not sure what else can be said. This is probably my favorite Beatles album (either this or Revolver) and it's fantastic, but I think it's important to acknowledge that it isn't perfect. The Beatles were so highly and blindly acclaimed that they were able to get away with a couple of actual duds ("Maxwell's Silver Hammer" and "Oh! Darling") on what's considered one of the best albums of all time. "Octopus' Garden" is quite silly too, but I love that one. Obviously though, "Come Together", "Something", and the entire second side of the album are solid gold. I had also forgotten how much I love "I want You (She's So Heavy)"!

I've listened to this one plenty before getting this prompt. The Beatles were experts at making an album with no lulls in production from one song to the other, and Abbey Road is clearly no different. Also, I'm very partial to the ending medley.

It's another 5 star Beatles albums. It's almost boring rating Beatles albums, they're pretty much all going to be 5 stars. Two of the best songwriters of all time in the same band, groundbreaking recording techniques, and a discography that is top-notch all the way through almost makes it unfair. Some of their best songs are on this one.

This is the last album the Beatles recorded together, but the second to last that was released (Let It Be album was released afterwards bc they were trying to make the Get Back movie series, but that didn’t actually happen until 2021 lol). Come Together - banger Something - best love song ever written Maxwell's Silver Hammer - suck a dong Oh! Come Together is a good song, it has an iconic bass line and there is a reason it is well known. Something was okay, I didn’t like it as much as Come Together but I can see how someone would enjoy it. Maxwell’s Silver Hammer wasn’t what I expected, although I didn’t know what to expect, again it was okay though. Oh! Darling I did quite enjoy, especially the more strained, rocky, Roger Taylor-esque vocals, my favourite song so far. Octupus’s Garden is to catchy, I don’t want to like it, given how ridiculous it is, bug I’d be lying if I said I didn’t. I Want You (She’s So Heavy) was okay, I was a fan of the heavier segments because I like metal breakdowns, so I’ll give it that, wasn’t my favourite, wasn’t the worst. Here Comes The Sun I don’t like, I can’t say why, the guitar is fine, the song is iconic, the vocals are good, I just don’t like it and don’t think it should be their most popular song. Because I feel weird about, I feel like it would work better if it was covered by a band like Ghost, it would fit their creepier aesthetic well, but it was ok. You Never Give Me Your Money I know because of the Tenacious D cover, which I love, it so upbeat and fun, and I do prefer it over this version, but this is still decent. Sun King I wasn’t a huge fan of, it was a tad to dreary for me, however the change in language caught me off guard. Mean Mr Mustard was good in comparison to Sun King, I quite enjoyed the drums. Polythene Pam segued quite well from MMM, which then flowed nicely to… She Came In Through The Bathroom Window, which is fine, I have preferred other songs, but this is one of my higher songs, although I feel like this, PP, MMM and possibly Sun King should have been one big song. Golden Slumbers I didn’t know that I knew, it’s an okay song, but I have known the song for years and didn’t know it was by them, so that was a nice surprise. Carry That Way again segued nicely from Golden Slumbers, and I did like it, especially the callback to YNGMYM. The End is the other half of the Tenacious D cover, so I did know this as well, again preferred the Tenacious D cover, however I did like this version as well, and I really liked the guitar solo and drums. Her Majesty I don’t think should be on the album, it was unnecessary, it should have ended with The End. Overall, my dislike of the Beatles may have been unwarranted, Abbey Road was a pretty good album, I think some songs were better than others, and that some *cough* HCTS *cough* are quite overrated, but I get why this is one of the greatest albums now. 4.6/5

Still holds up, absolutely stellar album overall. Such a great mix of Beatles songs, and feels somewhat nostalgic especially when listening to Octopus's Garden - my first official introduction to the Beatles, by my father. Maxwell's Silver Hammer still has the double-effect of making me creeped by the lyrics, but still enjoy the fun melody.
It is impossible not to give five stars for a album like this.

A lot of variation in genre and composition, spread over long and short songs, which are actually pretty good and unique. Reminds me of other bands like The Who, Queen, Santana and Cream. Definetly understandable how this got famous, especially since it's from 1969. Favourite track: Here Comes The Sun.

Finally, a Beatles album I can get behind. Very few of the dated, cloying songs that I hate so much.
One and One and One Make Three
This was probably the first Beatles album that I really listened to properly. These songs are imprinted on me at a pretty deep level. There's so much amazing stuff on here - the arrival of George as a tour-de-force, the Long Medley, the final harmonies and guitar solos on The End, Ringo's voice overpowering the chorus on Carry That Weight, I Want You - just wow.
Don’t think there’s an album I’ve listened to in its entirety more than Abbey Road. So yeah. It’s OK.
Not much I can say about this album that hasn't already been said. I'll just say that this is a fitting finale for the greatest band that ever was. 5 stars.
I didn't listen to this, but I gave it 5 stars all the same. It should be 6. It's probably my favourite album of all time. Quite a dull, unadventurous choice. But's it's their finest piece of work from what is an impressive and exhaustive choice. I listen to it rarely these days. I don't like to overkill it. But when I do listen, I really DO listen. It doesn't deserve being on in the background whilst I work away at home. The run of songs for the final suite can't be bettered. Perfection. Their finest work.
One of those rare albums that when I try to write or say anything about it, I feel a little silly. It's Abbey Road. It's a truly rare and remarkable work of art.
I understand when John said there are too many of Paul's Granny songs on here. It's still a brilliant album. Very hard for me to justify not giving it 5*

The truth is, I don't know that I'm doing it. I've filmed us fucking eachother many times and she's right, about 14 minutes in, at the top of my lungs, I bellow "come together" over and over until she's finished. It takes me another 10 minutes of wanking over her tits before I can cum though. One day we'll do it.

I'm not the biggest fan of the first half of this album. It ranks low for me, Beatles-ly speaking. But then the second half makes up for it. By the time you get to The End you cannot help but give it the full five, right?

Kolikogod sam si pokušavo kao, ma de, neće mi valjda taj bit među najjačim njihovim albumima, bla, bla, bla...danas, odnosno jučer sam preslušao 2 puta na poslu i jednostavno je odličan. Na ovom albumu imaju jedne od najboljih stvari, a i ujedno je ovo zadnji album na kojem su uživali radeći zajedno dok sve nije ošlo ća. Odličan album, jako važan za glazbu, ovaj album + Revolver i The White Album su mi najdraži njihovi. Sve u svemu petica pada, iako bi možda dao 4.5, ali to je sad ono priča za neki drugi puta. P.S. Ivane, Ringo Starr će nadživit Paula - Jameson će biti moj.

Never listened to this one in its entirety before and I must say I'm pretty surprised. It's a lot heavier and more complex than I expected and actually more reminiscent of late Queen albums than of the well-known Beatles pop-rock hits. I also had some difficulty in rating this one. At first I was a bit confused because it didn't fit my expectations of what it would be like. At the same time I found the album composition pretty weird. The individual tracks seemed like they don't fit together and some of the contrasts seemed to jarring. Still, I thought the individual tracks were mostly pretty awesome. Right after it finished I gave it a second spin and it seemed a lot more organic when I knew what to expect. It's a great album. Maybe more of a 4.5 than a 5, but great nonetheless.

It's so hard to rate the Beatles because everyone has heard these songs a billion times. Objectively a 5* though. It's been a long time since I listened to this album, it may be my favorite album as whole with the White Album following closely behind.
Great Album!
Is Abbey Road the best Beatles album? Not in my book. It's got some great great songs and starts off with a fantastic one two punch of Come Together and Something. But there a couple of songs that some wou,d call whimsical and charming I would describe as unnecesary filler. (though their sense of melody is strong even in those throwaway tunes. So it's not their best but it's still an easy 5 star album.
Yay Beatles!!!… The album opens with come together and what makes this a good opener is all down to that iconic guitar riff ( well it is in my opinion anyway) this song lyrics are rather nonsensical but they’re just there to carry the song really than to be it’s focus. It’s great though! Something is probably one of the most loved songs from this album and I have to agree it’s George Harrison’s magnum opus everything from that iconic guitar riff to the amazing lyrics and thundering chorus another banger! Now, was it worth getting the anvil for maxwells silver hammer? I’am not too sure but it’s still a fine song it’s one of those happy sounding songs that are really dark, the chorus is probably my favourite bit very catchy and the piano work after makes it so epic. Oh darling, is a great slower songs but still with a rampaging chorus probably not one of my favourite Paul songs but that’s just because he’s done so many bangers. Piano work is excellent here. Octopus’s garden is very Ringo it’s not a top tier song but still good all the instrumentation is perfect, the chorus is one of the most infectious ever. But it just sounds like a kids song. I want you ( she’s so heavy) is the very opposite to octopus’s garden a very John Lennon song a spiralling 7 minute epic with one of the best guitar riffs ever by the end it gets all fuzzy only to have one of the moon abrupt ending’s in music history. I still like it though. [yeah that was side one probably one of the best displays of each Beatles individual talents] Here comes the sun the most popular song that wasn’t a single, yeah this is a classic, great guitars good lyrics one of the most memorable songs of all time; great song! Then is because essentially a drugged up cult like chant with one of my favourite opening lines of all time in “ because the world is round it turns me on”. It’s solid though but only because of that vocal layering if not the attraction would probably be gone. [ now for the medley] You never give me your money: It has great piano work, good lyrics and while this is the only one that isn’t a fragment of this song this one has never been a favourite of mine. The flow between this and sun king is just a bit odd as well with some bug noises bridging the gap. I think it would’ve been better as it’s own song than park of this. Sun king: it’s essentially a reprise of because with different lyrics not bad but the album’s worst. Mean mr mustard: a short kinda comical little track It’s not a favourite but the flow into polythene pam is good. Polythene pam: my opinion on this one is practically the same as mean mr mustard but it flows well into she came in through the bathroom window. She came in through the bathroom window: best intro of the whole medley it’s sort of the end of the “first half” of the medley as there’s no flow into golden slumber’s. It’s a very good song though. Golden slumbers : probably my favourite song off the medley great lyrics great chorus which is kinda like a trick thing as it flows the same way it does into carry that weight! Carry that weight: another favourite of the medley the most uplifting track top song again! The end: I like this one and it’s a great closer to the album and to the Beatles catalogue and the lyrics are great but out of the this and the previous two theres no competition. [ bonus track] Her majesty: ( ha ha i’am doing this on the day before the jubilee) it’s okay… {Also on a Beatles note unrelated to the album my Spotify rolled over to I saw her standing there the first song on their debut so that’s cool.} Probably the funniest review I’ve ever done! Anyway it’s a true classic and still only my 3rd favourite Beatles album!
Oh end era Beatles, the great Abbey Road, a tribute to all their creativity I think, wonderful notes to end on. Believe or not this is not my favourite Beatles Album (Which is the White Album) but it is in the top two! wonderful stuff that shows how influential these four liverpool lads are to music today sixty years after they started their journey to the "Toppermost of the Poppermost" great stuff and in my top 10 albums of all time.
I've heard this many many times already. Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Sun King are maybe lower points, but there are some all-time great songs on here. Here Comes the Sun is probably George's best, and "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and "The End" are two personal favorites.

An absolutely classic album that has withstood the test of time. Although I wouldn’t consider it The Beatles' best work, it is definitely among some of the greatest albums of all time. The album is extremely enjoyable. While it isn’t as cohesive as other albums due to it having certain songs that disrupt the flow, I still adore this album and consider it amazing. Fantastic work by The Beatles!

I already know that I like this album. In fact it's my favorite of the Beatles catalog, which is a predictable choice. I always find myself returning to this eventually as it has the heaviness and catchiness of everything that makes the Beatles the best pop of it's time.

There are some awesome tracks on this album, but I was gonna dock a star for some of the twee nonsense. A couple of listens and the tracks that initially seemed weaker grew on me (unlike Sgt. Pepper) so, sure, five stars it is. Fave track - "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" in no small part because of Type O Negative's cover, although it's still a monster track on it's own...
Like what do you need to know about it? One of the most iconic rock albums of all time. Every song is great. Don’t sit here and read reviews of it, just go listen to it you lunatic!

Brilliant classic album. Everyone knows the cover of this album, I knew quitte some songs. But it’s an different experience when listening it as a whole. Listened to it twice and the second time it was even better. The songs individually are great but get stronger as a whole. No wonder this is such a legendary album. J’ai toujours trouvé fascinant que le côté B de cet album contient assez de matériel pour faire un album exceptionnel complet. À la place, ils en ont fait des petites tounes de 1m30. Il faut avoir confiance en sa capacité à en écrire d’autres. Ringo a déjà dit que les tounes s’enchainnaient parce qu’ils étaient trop paresseux pour leur trouver une fin. J’aimerais ça être paresseux de même. Bref, c’est mon album préféré de mon band préféré.
Ah les Beatles! Je crois que c'est mon préféré avec Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Cet album est l'aboutissement réussi des explorations des albums précédents. Dans le processus créatif, je trouve vraiment intéressant le fait que la durée de I Want You a été calculé par rapport au média qu'est le vinyle pour aller au bout de la face A et avoir l'effet de coupure par l'aiguille qui revient au début. Un album incontournable.

Abbey Road is perfect - I could listen to any song off of this album on a loop and never get bored. ‘The Medley’ is so fantastically well executed. The 1-2-3 punch that is ‘Golden Slumbers’, ‘Carry that Weight’, and ‘The End’ might be one of my favourite endings to an album ever.

One of my favorite Beatles albums. The suite in the middle is just epic.
It's always nice to listen to this again. Every song is a good song and I feel like I always find something new. This time around, I felt incredibly moved by "Here Comes The Sun." What a simple and profound song. It's hard to believe that John left the Beatles 6 days after they finished recording this. I would love to be in the room where it happened.

Probably the Beatles most well known album but not necessarily their best. Still great in its own regard. It has 17 songs and still short of an hour. It’s a refined, simply curated album. The Beatles mellowed out with this one compared to yellow sub and magical. The songs flow exceptionally well throughout and makes the album an easy listen and yet there’s still depth to the songs. 8.8/10

Just what I needed to wash the taste of that shitty Lenny Kravitz album out of my mouth This album captures a massive range of moods, but somehow makes them all fit. More importantly, just just keeps getting better as it goes. And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. The Beatles always had an incredible way to state the profound with the simplest words 5/5

Welp, first album I receive from this very interesting website, and I get as my first album to listen to is one I have listend to numerous times and agree whole heartedly that this is one of the Greatest Albums of All Time, just Abbey Road, the last Beatles album recorded. My short thoughts about the songs on the album: Come Together: If this is supposed to be a drug song, it really feels like a trip that hits you, getting ready to take you on a journey to a world where nothing and everything makes sense at the same time, with that fuckin killer guitar by George i think? Something: This song really grew on me, because I didn't really get myself into the talent that is George Harrison, and this song just struck me as basic lovey dovey song when i first discovered it in Freshman year of high school. Listening to it several times later and thinking of the women that used to make me feel, this song captured the emotions perfectly, and it's also just a vibe Maxwell's Silver Hammer: REALLY? They hated this song?? I can understand the fucking pain in Paul's Percise Direction on the song taking a toll on everybody, this still shows that the art you imagine in your head doesn't have to be perfectly how you imagined it to still be fucking awesome! It may be the inner edge-lord in me that considers this on the top 5 best off this album, but it's like Tarantino's who analogy with Joker (2019), it seduces you into enjoying the villain's presence. Oh! Darling: I always remember the title of this song but never the actual song, but it's instrumentals are really something. It's a more manic Something now that i think about it... so John made this! His vocals are on point and the classic harmonization by the end... wait is this Paul or John... Im stupid. Octopus's Garden: Top 5 off the album, more like on MY TOP 5 FAVORITE BEATLES SONG OF ALL TIME. This song deserves more love, RINGO deserves more love, and I'm glad they are getting more each year. this is just a song that makes me so fucking happy. I Want You (She So Heavy): Another top 5 entry on both lists omg, 2 in a row! This song gives me the weird feeling of thinking of a girl and other things when you're supposed to pay attention to Sunday Mass. This is probably Paul's absolute best fucking Bass work in his career Here Comes The Sun: c'mon, no words are needed. It's like waking up at the top floor of your apartment as the sun is rising above your home and shining the world. All your worries are blinded by the pure bliss radiating from this moment in your life, happening right now... also from the gamma rays Because: I should've listened to this song more, this is an incredible song. Y'know those ascended memes, this makes me feel like that, so outer worldly filled with bibilical like power. You never gave me your money: what a different tone from the last song but it kinda matches with the notes, but this feels like snapping back to reality from the last song and making something happen. Sun King: Sun King yes, which sounds like full moon, midnight by the campfire. THIS GUITAR THO. Mean Mr. Mustard: now it's the next day and now we're people watching. Kinda feels like this album is about living in the moment in life :) (also this song sounds as groovy as Paul's future work) Polythene Pam: Good transition, You think Mr Mustard is somethin, well you should see... this woman She Came in through the Bathroom window: You fell in love with a Girl but the drugs start kicking in again ~my hands are getting tired so i'm just going to write down the image these song's give me Golden Slumbers: this is like Part 2 to Sun King, now another night, reflecting what we learned and need to learn. Basically a reflection of the past. Is there a more iconic album? I prefer Hard Days Night & Rubber Soul, but this is solidly in the top 10 ever? Maybe top 5? Every damn song on it is recognizable.

Disclaimer: While I like the Beatles, I also think they are the most overrated band in history. Not to say they weren't among the greatest ever... but the boomer obsession with this band can be a bit much. Having said that, this is my favorite Beatles record. Side A is good but side B is just incredible from "You Never Give Me Your Money" to the end. They definitely went out with a bang on this one (the last record they recorded together)
Another classic for a reason album.
The last classic album by the Beatles. On this one the contribution of George Harrison is larger (Because, Here Comes The Sun, Something). Every song is sublime.
Easy 5* - favourite album of all time, and the first record I knew I had to own on vinyl. Harrison's contributions obviously excel here, but all four Beatles are on fine form instrumentally and vocally (did their harmonies and backing vocals ever sound so gorgeous?) The Side 2 "medley" (contrary to Lennon's dismissive comments) is one of my favourite sequences of music by any artist. Fave Track: You Never Give Me Your Money Least Fave Track: At a stretch... Maxwell (but I still love it, sorry Paul)

Great album... classic
I simply can't say anything about this record that hasn't be said before, it's one of the most iconic albums of all time. It's the magnus opus of The Beatle's career, and the concourse of sounds that come from this album are so spectacular. It starts with one of the most iconic, rocking songs in their catalogue and ends with a grandiose medley that is so rich is lyricism and composition that it's almost cinematic. George Harrison and George Martin are the rock stars of this album. If you can't get into this album, The Beatles are not meant for you. Favorite Song: Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End Least Favorite: Her Majesty (I know it's a hidden track, but it should have just ended cleanly)
So I think the front half of the album starts off so strong with Come Together and Something, but then with Maxwell and Octopus it's a take back to older Beatles. The B side of this album is where things really shine. Here Comes the Sun gets us going, and I love the flow of one track into another at the end of the album

One of the all time great albums. The medley in the second half towards the end of the album is divine.

FAB ofc, esp side 2. Boring paul tracks on first half are the only down side, as well as the befuddling order (should be Come Together, Oh Darling or smth then Something as Track 3 surely, will re-order properly one day)
