Not really my cup of tea,🤷
Too long, too many silly songs.
i just don’t gaf about the beatles
So I've never really had many Beatles songs click with me, and this whole album was no exception. I get how they're incredibly influential, and there's ideas here that are great, but none of it is executed in a way that's either too memorable or enjoyable to listen to. Most of the time it's background noise, and other times it's just a slog to get through. Revolution 9 was particularly bad. I get wanting to experiment but what the actual hell was that?? Anyways, just because they were the first to introduce these sounds doesn't mean they were the best to do it. Standouts include Dear Prudence, Yer Blues, Good Night. 2/5
3/27 Overrated album from an extremely overrated band
The album has brilliant moments but also a lot of "filler". I feel the problem was the experimentation and the freedom for everyone to do what they want; that's what made me have unique songs and crap.
Aburrido
Hate Beatles
2.5. Lots going on here. context would be helpful. Beatles are weird
This is probably one of my least favorite Beatles albums. Also way too long to be honest. Maybe 3 songs I enjoy in this album.
the beetles are alr
Classics and crap
4/10
I only like a few songs off this album 🙈 still a classic but not my fav
I expected something better.
1 great album's worth of content spread far too thinly.
ive spent my whole life trying to make myself believe I like onions. and I can sometimes in small amounts, but anything centered around onions just isn't for me. the beatles are the same way. if you like the beatles, im happy you have this album but me personally? I'd rather listen to trout mask replica than this
Let’s get the good stuff out of the way first: it has “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” and, to a lesser extent, “Blackbird” on it. Otherwise, this is far too long. Some would say it’s “eclectic” - I would say it gave me a good dose of whiplash. It ranges from quite mad (“Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill”) to downright awful (“Helter Skelter”), and just a bit uncomfortable (“Revolution 9).
Nu I cine știe ce
Like a few Beetles albums has way to many songs, 20 tracks is just too much unless you have a dozen or so bangers and unfortunately this has 5 good tunes (2 of them are all time Beetles greats - While my guitar gently weeps and blackbird) but the other 15 tracks are fine or in too many instances total bollocks. Maybe it’s a post war, memories of rationing, bang for your buck thing but as an album it is totally devalued by the sheer weight of its filler 2
Is it a comedy album?
oke
I don’t usually listen to The Beatles. I’ve heard their bigger songs before and they were never really my vibe, but I gave the White Album ( 1968) a full listen anyway. Honestly, it just didn’t click for me. The album felt very experimental but also kind of messy, and no track really stood out or stuck with me after it ended. Maybe this just wasn’t the right album for me, and after researching i can see how this album is supposed to be a contrast from previous works, but I still don’t really get the hype around the band.
1 song already in my favorites. Would listen again if forced to.
For an album on every beat lost I had to skip a few tracks
this album is so long and so from the 60s. it was a hard one
I know that this album seems not that exciting, even a little boring to me since I grew up listening to so many artists who were heavily influenced by the beatles sound and techniques.
Not my thing but ok
It was mid I only liked like 2-3 songs on it
really getting the itch to jerk off in a group and say the n word
Welcome back to another episode of "1001 most overrated albums of all time", today we have the Beatles' white album. I never really got the hype surrounding this group, they're basically the prototype of the typical sellout mainstream band. Everything they did worked due to overmarketization, so much so that people bought their stuff just because they're the Beatles. I'm still of the opinion that it was a good thing that they split up and John Lennon got shot. Now that the venting part is over, let's talk about the music displayed here. It obv. doesn't have a bad quality, but there's day and night between the actual good songs like Blackbird or Helter Skelter among the majority of filler songs. Overall underwhelming and mediocre for the most part in terms of style, creativity and theme, but certain songs stand out really strongly. I wish The Beatles would've been an actual rock band and followed the style of Helter Skelter, but what we got instead was 3 cool musicians + 1 retarded hippie asshole.
mehh
wegen Revolution No9 gekauft
a bit too whiny
2.4
4.5/10 They are great if you have the emotional complexity of a weevil.
3 good songs
Brave
I do not particularly enjoy the Beatles (I used to really hate them despite liking Abbey Road) but this album was fine. I don't enjoy hearing John Lennon say "sexy" but other than that it was a rather neutral listening experience. while I may never understand the hype surrounding the Beatles, I suppose I can thank them for inspiring countless generations of musicians that I love.
I don't like the Beatles. I know they're good, I know they're influential, I know it's supposed to be great music. But I don't like them. This album has not changed my mind.
the white album, more like the shite album
Ehhh like 4 good hits and the rest just blend into each other. I don’t see how this is a mind blowing album. It’s also super long, I don’t care for the majority of these songs
It's so long. That's too much Beatles. A couple of songs really surprised me by being actually good, but the rest of it was just... well, Beatles. They're not very good, you're just old.
2.5
I absolutely love some of the songs and hated other ones. Such a frustrating album. For that reason I give it a two.
Too drug addled.
Bloated. 2/5
When I tell you number 9 is one of the worst songs I have heard not just in the album listening so far but in my life. I saw it on the list, thought of the Simpsons episode and laughed thinking it might be similar. It came on and I thought ‘wow this is super similar’ then I saw it had 7 more fucking minutes to go. It made me want to dig John Lennon up, shoot him again, log back in to my Letterboxd and rate Yesterday a 1. God help the next person I see wearing round rim glasses. Specific rating 2.0 (-2 for Number 9) Fav song- obla di obla da Least fav - number 9
I don't like the Beatles.
Disappointing. I expected to love this record but a lot of it sounds like filler. Part of the problem is the ubiquity of the Beatles, i must have heard every song on here hundreds of times without trying, but part of it is that some of the songs are really not good.
It’s fine, if a little long. Probably not something I would revisit, a little too poppy for my tastes… I’ll be generous and say 2+ stars.
So, this would be a better album with about 1/3 to 1/2 the songs. There are like 3-4 maybe 5 songs on that I like enough to maybe come back and listen to again purposefully -- although I know I won't because I don't really dig the Beatles.....
2,5
If you randomly sampled songs from this album you would find that 1/2 of these songs rock, 1/4 of them completely suck, and 1/4 of them will be really strange in a neither positive nor negative way. That is to say, this album is good but contains too many loose ideas and is far too long. 2/5
I can't. Not in the mood for this. I'm sure it was great at the time, but today it just feels very indulgent and the old-style mix is nails on a chalkboard for me.
Cut it down to a single LP and you've got a banger on your hands.
Na ja. Muss wohl was dran sein.
some classic some weird shit
Don’t understand the hype. There are far better Beatles albums.
Would have been 3 but minus 1 star for the existence of Ob La Di, Ob La Da.
Typical be a few familiar songs, but for the most part, not very interesting to listen to pretty overplayed at this point
As a lifelong Beatles hater, I liked this a smidge more than I expected. I think I got to the root of why I’m not a big fan. It’s because this is the unpolished grassroots of pop music. Influential, yes, but in being unpolished, it lacks the fine tuning we know pop to have now. Beatles music has the foundation of pop without the polish or substance. Can be catchy at times, but way too repetitive to the point you get sick of the song so easily. Why Don’t we do it in the Road is one example. Dear Prudence and maybe even Glass Onion are good examples. Alternatively, stuff like Julia is just plain great, and if they had more songs like Julia, I’d be more inclined to understand why theyre viewed as the kings of pop bands.
It's like 3 good songs, 3 terrible, and a huge bunch of fillers. You won't convince me that the rating isn't for the name
Some good songs but overall album needed editing. Too long and too much carnival music
Great album!
I see some brown in there too.
way too long, has next to nothing going for it. bleh. beatles album rankings so far: 1. with the beatles 2. rubber soul 3. white album
Not my style, a bit too boring and overrated 3/10
This album is a wild collection of great songs, complete filler, absolute disasters, and songs that are straight-up annoying. I get the cultural significance of The White Album and how it was arguably the greatest band ever truly having some space to explore a ton of different influences, genres, and styles of music. What it ends up being to me is a fractured mess of an album that sounds more like a collection of B-sides that wouldn't make it onto a regular album and then found and released decades after a band breaks up just because there are recordings and a feeling that they need to be released. This one is tough to give a number to - because it's the Beatles and The White Album you feel like you HAVE to give it a high score. As an album, it simply doesn't deserve it though. I feel bad for the amazing songs on here that are on this album instead of another one.
I feel like the Beatles is kind of like religion, if you didn't grow up on it, it just seems weird and a little culty.
Pretty boring overall, and as an album it was disjointed and carries a lot of skippable tracks.
I generally like The Beatles, but most of this album was a bit off track, (excuse the pun), for me.
it just isn't for me. I can appreciate the skill that goes into this album, but I don't enjoy the Beatles sound signature.
The best thing about this album is that nearly all the songs are short, on the down side there are too many of them. Very wanky
If The Beatles had just stuck with the Psychedelic Rock of Dear Prudence and While My Guitar Gently Weeps this would be a great album. Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da does not belong on any record. Neither does: Wild Honey Pie, Honey Pie, Bungalow Bill, Rocky Racoon or Savoy Truffle. Piggies is the worst one of all with lyrics so bad I can’t be bothered to type them up - awful awful novelty music. I cannot understand how these songs have ended up on the same album as Blackbird and Julia (a touching tribute to the death of Lennons mum). Naturally the song after Julia is a terrible blues standard song about having a Birthday Party. Why Don’t We Do it in the Road sounds like Muddy Waters Meets Butlins. There are a couple of experiment tracks: Helter Skelter and Revolution 9. But in amongst everything else these are just lost. I have no idea how hundreds of millions of people have been tricked into thinking this is the greatest band of all time.
There are only a few good songs on there and the rest is mid as fuck
NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9
Never been a big fan. They had some good hits but I never understood the hype. Onto the next.
Maybe one good song in a 2 volume album, insane this was as popular as it was.
Meh. I could do with never listening to it again
This album pissed me off. There's some absolute classics on here. While my Guitar Gently Weeps and Blackbird stand out in particular. Back in the USSR and Happiness is a Warm Gun are both good too. However, for every great song there's a couple of average ones and for every average song, there's one that's absolute dogshit. Wild Honey Pie and Bungalow Bill are particularly egregious. Every time and artist thinks about making a double album, they should be forced to listen to this and cut out all the chaff.
This could have an amazing 30 minute album, but they decided to chuck in 60 minutes of guff to pad it out for some reason. Dear Prudence, Helter Skelter, Blackbird, all great, but a lot of the other tracks really were unenjoyable and rarely in a way that was interesting. What was the point of Revolution 9 for example?
Well. I expected a lot, being a classic and all that, but the only thing it has a lot of is running time. If they ditched all the novelty songs they’d have something approaching a decent album. The only song I can say I really liked was Blackbird. Dear Prudence was done properly by Souixsie. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da was done better by Marmalade, but it’s still not great. While My Guitar Gently Weeps was done MUCH better by the Tom Petty/Prince supergroup. And TIL the Beatles song that’s referenced in Firefly! But yeah, Agent K should have saved his money.
Só tem uma música boa
There are a few super-solid tracks on this album, but being a double LP, it suffers from serious bloating. The vast majority of the songs are like listening to someone singing a recount of their acid trip to the tune of the Scooby Doo theme song. 2 stars. Just because something is historically significant doesn't mean that it's good.
Not a big Beatles guy
YAWN
This album has a lot of variety. It seems kind of disjointed, like it was all thrown together. But it still feels artistic with interesting songs. Overall, I'm not very impressed with this album.
lame af
2+ Stars (6/15) God I hate double albums!!! If this was cut down to the best 10 songs then it'd be pretty good.
The are some great songs in this album. Then again, there are some quite bad as well. 5/10
Doesn’t have the same energy and catchy sounds of other Beatles albums. Disjointed and boring with a couple of good songs.
I’ve always kind of ignored/didn’t care about the Beatles but they’re not bad Jk they’re pretty meh, boring Fun opening song and it’s all downhill from there
Overrated, there’s a few good songs but cmon. Really nothing special
2 stars for their impact on humanity or whatever. Sorry I dislike the beatles
Quelques bons morceaux connus : "Back in the U.S.S.R." "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" "Helter Skelter" Et beaucoup de remplissage. =>2/5
I’m trying to be softer, so I’ll simply use this space to state that this is my favorite person’s favorite Beatles album.
To no one's surprise, Manson's taste in music was shit. 2/5
I’m afraid that in the most part I just really don’t get the Beatles and I can only assume that you needed to be there. There are some good songs on here - USSR, Glass Onions, Guitar Gently Weeps, Helter Skelter. But it’s the filler that irks me. I mean, Why don’t we do it in the road? No thanks, and at my age the thought of seeing anyone else doing it in the road would just be ikky and a bit embarrassing. Basically so much of this is just tosh, which perhaps they had enough capital at the time to get away with.
Not a very good album, I don't know who these beatles are but they have a lot to learn! The one redeeming song was Number 9, fun little piece!
Terrible mess. Good to hear music by other members, but then you have something like Revolution 9.
Has interesting sounds, but overall boring
Who'd have thought listening to a Beatles album would be a chore. Living in fear of Ob la de ob la da bungalow bill and rocky raccoon. At least maxwells silver hammer isn't on this one.
There's Beatles I like - with Revolver and Abbey at the top. Then there's Beatles I don't like - the early stuff and this. The white album shows a band talented enough they could piss about in the studio and throw out folky melodies and experimental noise and it'd all be great. And I don't like it. It's just too rambling, too campfire singing, too haphazard.
Glass Onion Happiness Is A Warm Gun Blackbird Rocky Raccoon There are better albums then this one. Not particularly a fan of this one but it is still not bad. I call her average at best.
Really brings out the certified hater in me. I like a lot of the quirky production in this that I used to be quite cold on and I do like a few of the songs but sitting through this whole this is not my idea of a fun time. I do like that it’s consistently weird but the only weird that I can really tune into at all is the noisier stuff at the end of Side 2.
Never understood what the fuss was about this 60s boy band. Most of the hits are just silly love songs.
Average
Confirmed that I don’t enjoy the Beatles except maybe their first albums where the music was simpler. Listened to it twice and couldn’t get into it properly. A nice few songs though, blackbird specifically.
Just a wee bit boring
So overrated I'm sorry. Said it before say it again. And why is the album so long?
Disc 2 turned this weak 4 into a strong 2. Disc 2 is mostly garbage. Disc 1 has some good songs but I think USSR and Obla Di are very overrated. However While my Guitar Gently Weeps and Blackbird are heat. Shame they made a double.
Bin kein Beatles-Fan
I respect, understand, and see the greatness and influence the Beatles had on music. I will say that out of all the Beatles albums I've heard on this list so far, this was the one I enjoyed more than the others, but I just wish they really clicked with me more
Extremely forgettable/average, disc 2 clears disc 1
Simplemente no mi estiló.
I do not like the beatles. The grungy songs are better than the soft ones. A few songs I went "hey this is pretty good" but most of time time it was "jeez this is terrible". Top songs: happiness is a warm gun (Arctic monkeys??), Martha my dear, I'm so tired
The Beatles apparently opted to go with quantity over quality for this album.
I just really fucking hate the Beatles man
A long album that I listened to in parts between a day of meetings and other stuff I'd rather be listening to. Some of my favorite Beatles songs, some terrible Beatles songs, some inconceivable Beatles songs. Eclectic is maybe the word for it, but it really felt like four Beatles in a trenchcoat trying to sneak into a party for "bands only" .... just break up, buddies.
I know it’s sacrilege and everything I like stands on the fossilized bones of The Beatles, but I just really can’t stand these guys. And even the remaster sounds like it was mixed to evoke the record being played on Walkman headphones with the volume all the way up but lying on the counter of a bathroom instead of on your ears. The lyrics of Glass Onion seem to indicate that the Beatles were openly contemptuous of their stardom and fans, and then Wild Pie Honey, Piggies, and Happiness Is A Warm Gun removes all doubt. A reluctant extra star for Rocky Raccoon, I’m So Tired, and Helter Skelter
Så hurtigt så att man får huvudvärk. Vissa låtar är ändå OK. While My Guitar Gently Weeps till exempel.
If you are listenning in the car, the first song makes you think something is wrong with it. And the others just sound a bit to meh to me
Aside from like 2 good songs, honestly not a great album.
Nein danke.
is fine ig
I don't care how revolutionary it is, this has been the most boring hour and a half of my life.
As I'm working my way through this "must listen" list I'm coming to the conclusion I'm a music curmudgeon. This album crystalizes that notion! For over 40 years I've argued with friends and acquaintances that this album is terribly overrated. Sure, I'm a fan of all the satire, but it has its limits. Much of this album is frivolous. To prove my point I once made a playlist anchored by songs from this album, the Wiggles, and Phineas and Ferb. It all works together. If this had been a satirical attempt to fool the public into worshipping an album that was padded with kids songs it would have been brilliant. I could have given it 4 stars just for Rocky Raccoon and Back in the U.S.S.R. but it loses stars for masquerading as one of the best albums of all time.
Rather unimpressed by this album this time through. Wish they had cut a lot and just made it a single LP that would deserve a ranking on the 1001 list. Making it a double feels like they stuffed in a bunch of filler of the beatles just dicking around in the studio. Still are some of their top songs on here though. Need half star ability on the app upgrade...2.5
Liked two songs (because know the Siouxsie and Prince covers), but otherwise was annoyed, too long
There is a lot of garbage on this record. In my opinion, the Beatles are overrated. This album feels incomplete. Like each song is an idea that they just regurgitated in like 5 minutes and called it good enough. There's no cohesiveness to any of it. Like, why is there a whole song about Pigs? And another about a racoon?... Drugs.... Good drugs. It's crazy too that this album came right after Sgt Pepper. This pales in comparison. Apparently everyone was mad at Lennon because he kept bringing Yoko to the recording studio... The producer fucked off in the middle of recording the album... The sound engineer quit.... Ringo quit for a few weeks during recording... Then the band took a hiatus after the album was done.... So all that shit I think is part of the reason why this album blows. That and the fact that it's the Beatles. Favourite songs: Blackbird, Why Don't We Do It In The Road?, Yer Blues, Birthday, "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", Don't Pass Me By, Rocky Raccoon, Revolution 1 Least favourite songs: Wild Honey Pie, Dear Prudence, Revolution 9, Good Night 2/5
Before this I thought I didn’t like The Beatles and I was right
Blackbird play the glee version you cowards. Didn't really like it sorry
👎👎👎
A few good songs but most I wouldn't listen to again.
It's an interesting album, but far too long with too many filler tracks. There are some masterpieces on here, some of my favorites being: Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, I'm so Tired, Blackbird, Julia, Sexy Sadie, and Revolution. There are some extremely weird songs on here though: including Piggies and Rocky Racoon. Overall, this album suffers from having too many songs, many of which are skips.
across the universe did it better
So nobody can say this one doesn't have some classic bangers. Like come on... Ob-la-di Ob-la-da. Ob-la-so-fun! That being said, I haven't slept in like three days and listening to this album this morning PISSED ME OFF. Why does it have to be so fucking long? Just because you're the Beatles doesn't mean you get to just jam whatever random shit you want to into an album. There doesn't seem to be nearly as much cohesion as some of their other albums... more like a bunch of random songs put together on this 'Hey! Remember us! We're still The Beatles! Annoying and pretentious. Favorites include: I'm so Tired, Blackbird, and Happiness is a Warm Gun :)
Not saying they’re bad, but imo The Beatles has to be one of the most overrated bands out there and this album just showcases that, it has maybe 2 good songs and the rest is just filler content
an hour and a half of the beatles. ugh. never been a fan of the beatles and this just confirmed it. some stand out moments that get hidden beneath all the fucking rubbish on this shit. overrated as fuck. cant believe old people listen to this and then say "rap? more like crap!" and then proceed to give To Pimp A Butterfly a 1/5. fav songs: happiness is a warm gun, blackbird, long long long.
Thirty songs for an album. I mean, come on. There are a few good songs on here, and the influence of the Beatles on other musicians is undeniable. But as an album, self-contained thing to listen to - yeah, no. Too many stupid songs (I don't care about a fucking raccoon), and too bloated and self-important. Two stars.
Classic Beatles. Listen again: maybe Purchase for my collection:own it Favourite Song: While My Guitar Gently Weeps
okay
the start was decent (the first few songs) but then it turned into the same ol snorefest beatles shit at least not a 1/5 this time
This took me about a week to get through. The only song I would actively support is Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da. Track #10 says it best: I'm So Tired (of the Beatles). Also, Bungalow Bill specifically can get lost.
Probably loses something without the historical context. Long. Would be better if reduced by a song or two.
As an album, this is a rambling, incoherent mess, desperately searching for a stronger producer. This feels like a brief, misguided staging post between Sgt Peppers and Abbey Road. It is self-indulgent almost to the point of parody, gropingly unsure of what it wants to be, yet at the same time contains some of the greatest individual tracks ever recorded. If we’re reviewing “albums”, then this is an album in the same way a “Best of…” compilation is an album; a nice collection of singles and deeper cuts, but barely registering as singular piece of work in its own right. Songs on it; 5/5. As an album; 1/5.
This was mostly terrible.
Lastig, zo iconisch dit album. Los van alle context: carnaval, kermis en kerst vallen in dezelfde week.
Not very impressive today. I find their music a bit bland, there are some songs here and there in their discography that are good (Hey Jude). But overall, it doesn't get more mid and unremarkable than this. It's easy to see where other artists have drawn inspiration from, Bowie definitely heard Bungalow Bill before writing Ziggy Stardust, and they may have been revolutionary in their time. However, we have so many artists that have done it better in our age.
2.5 Heard this one before and I think for every one cool song there’s a bullshit psychedelic nonsense song. Should’ve been a single LP. Favorites: Back in the USSR, Dear Prudence, Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Blackbird, Helter Skelter
2.5 Here we go, Round #2 with The Beatles. As mentioned, I've never been much of a Beatles fan, but I gotta say it dawned on me quickly this album is a lot better than their earlier work - in particular, this is miles ahead of A Hard Day's Night. Still, I'm not exactly sure what makes The Beatles the most recognizable and legendary band of all-time. Most (if not all) of the tracks here don't sound too out of place from other albums of the time - not bad, but not great either. There are a few shining moments (Blackbird's a good song with probably one of the most iconic guitar riffs of all-time), but the rest feels like a lot of 60's fluff that I'm not sure justifies a double album. Favorite songs: Blackbird, Dear Prudence, Helter Skelter, Julia
Few interesting songs, mostly too bland and pop-y.
'The White Album' from the Beatles - as it's mostly referred to as - is the ninth album from the band and their only double album. It's technically a rock or pop album, but has songs originating from other genres including: folk, blues, reggae, and avant-garde. As a result of 30 songs and different types of music, individual listeners may like certain songs and not others from the album. However this album will in fact have something for every listener, so it's fun to find out which songs you like. The album was a critical and commercial success, going 24x platinum which technically makes it twice diamond certified! You can tell the band had fun putting this album together because it shows in the music, but behind the scenes the band was slowly imploding...
2 good songs surrounded by dross. If this goes on the list of albums better than Ash I riot
Supremely disappointing. Album is much too long and lacks any sort of cohesion to keep you interested after about 30 minutes. I understand this is a double album, but there's virtually nothing about the second half that compels me, much less had it been an album on its own. I understand and can respect the novelty of exploring a new genre in every song, but barely any of the songs that were new to me caught my attention in any profound way. Where's the magic they captured on While My Guitar Gently Weeps? Can you Imagine being in a room with both John Lennon and Eric Clapton at the same time? (derogatory) 30% skips (probably more than that), and the one song I had saved coming into this album will likely be the only one I return to. Gimme Rubber Soul over this any day Already Saved: While My Guitar Gently Weeps Saved After Listening: Back In The U.S.S.R., Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Birthday*
The well known songs are awesome, listening to the rest was painful.
About 1/5 of the songs are decent, the rest are not. Overrated
Beatles put out a lot of songs in their time. I feel with this double album they've went for the opposite of a greatest hits album.
not that great 2.5
Hot take for hardcore Beatles fans: this is, so far, my least favorite album. I listened to both the original release as well as the 6-disc expanded edition and while the latter has more charm and depth to the work it takes to develop music, the former is a real slog to get through. I understand that the boys were collapsing and pulling into different styles and it shows with jarring music choices ("Revolution 9" was just awful), somber melodies with lyrics that come off repetitive than catchy, and only 2 tracks that stand out the most out of the double album. While I admire "Back in the U.S.S.R." and 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps", I will not necessarily be coming back, minus the acoustic version of the former, to this album. It's a sad ninth outing for the Beatles.
Youngboy better
Blackbird is good, the rest is not. Over-hyped.
#407 / 1089 Heard before? ✅ Revisit? ❌ I'm so fed up with the band that I don't even want to re-listen this album. I know several of the songs by heart and many of them annoy me to no farking end. Most of their music is not for me, just some of the psychedelic era stuff is tolerable. Strong 2, but will rate 1/5 out of petty spite.
I need help. How is this considered the best of the best band ever? Its seriously shit. Childish, silly, pisstake. How? Its a mess.
Evil
I don't like the beatles
while my guitar gently weeps is first decent one imo carried entirely by the guitar solos. the moaning ??? martha my dear is sooo cute blackbird and i will is cute too revolution 1 would’ve been a really good closing song i can’t believe i sat through the entirety of revolution 9. it actually was killing me to not skip felt nothing for any of the other songs, i dont understand the love for this album at all it feels so soulless and theres no heart in 90% of it
never been a fan and never will blah
Too much Beatles not enough trap beats 1/10 Dear prudence wasnt terrible though
I made it! Through the entire White Album which everyone claims is so ridiculously fantastic. I know you're mad I don't want to listen. Your mad I think they're over hyped garbage, but they are. I maintain my point.
Umm the album I more country/ romance pop. And I’m not much of a fan of country in general. The album overall isn’t for me😕.
Fuck off.
nie lubię Beatlesów and you can’t change my mind
This album is long and I do not understand the arrangement. This is one of my leastfavortie beatles albums if I were to favor any beatles albums. Black bird and Obladioblada are the highlights. Lots of songs that talk abouthaving guns, killing yourself or other people. Very weird I hated it
Началось
It was emmmm not like there other album
Jako prej jsou beetles beetles ale
suitable for ren and stimpy background music
langweilig wtf😭 ich fühle mich wie in den 80s (1680) happiness is a warm gun is tuff blackbird!! 3/10 (pluspunkt wegen der menge der lieder)
I now understand why some people find hippies intolerable
Over-rated. Couldn't wait for the end.
Fully biased review of my step-father's favorite album: this album makes me think of Sunday afternoons in January in our triple deckah in Jamaica Plain, feeling cold with 2 sweaters on because we weren't allowed to turn the heat up past 58, the plastic wrap on the windows wafting in the breeze from the poorly fitting windows, and trying to do 9th grade Latin homework in my bedroom while this was blasting in the living room. ugh, hate this album.
got through 17 songs, not really special
Not my cup of Tea. I had to Stop listening after 5 songs
meh
Li beatles = 1 estrela VAI TOMAR NO CU JOAO LENNON EU LI O APANHADOR NO CAMPO DE CENTEIO E IREI RIR DA SUA MORTE JOAO LENNON
Didn't do it for me. 1/5
60’s don’t care
no
why is this a double album? so much filler bullshit on here. Had some expectations for this and simply couldn't get on with it, having it as a double album just meant that I was counting down the songs till it ended after getting part way through disc 2
What a load of shite. I suffered through the whole double album expecting there to at least be something worth listening to, however computer said no
took me four days to finish i enjoyed it so little. one point for the three songs i liked, and down a point because of the amount my childhood made me listen to "why don't we do it in the road" when we were in middle school. who let this album be so long.
Hate the beatles
Disappointing
There are a few decent songs spread between several bad ones. I can't tell if this supposed to be funny or what. This is another band that may have been influential in their day, even though the music isn't very good.
boring. sounds like goofy movie credits music. I can't even finish it.
Trash
No
Never understands the Beatles love.
I've heard this one enough times I could sing it myself. Tedious and self-indulgent. Hasn't aged well, like the band's entire output.
Terrible!
not for me; not cohesive; confusing transitions
Can't even call this a listen, I just sat through it. Once again the schizo song felt like a breath of fresh air, too bad it was near the end
Don't like it so much. Never liked the Beatles and this didn't convince me
i won’t listen to albums by these men... i just tried and it wasn’t working for me
Fro ruined it for me
blergh

Great album. A bit overlong with plenty of filler but still a classic.
Sucked
Not convinced
A masterpiece.
