Not really for me - very shoegaze. I don’t find it exciting or appealing.
I can recognize its importance, but I am never going to sit and listen to this by choice. “Rock Box” is awesome though.
Oh my god, shut up Jim Morrison.
I have great memories of listening to “The Shining” in university. That was definitely the stand-out track for me, but the rest of the album was nice too.
A pleasant listen, but definitely of it’s time. “Take On Me” and “The Sun Always Shines on TV” are highlights.
I love Queen, but this album isn’t a favourite. To my ears, it’s the soundtrack to the world’s most frantic D&D game. The standout tracks to me are “March of the Black Queen” (a proto-“Bohemian Rhapsody”) and “Seven Seas of Rhye”.
“It was great, it sold, it’s the bloody Beatles White Album, shut up!”
Stone cold classic.
I understand why this is such an important, popular album, but it isn’t for me. I’ve never been able to get past Eddie Vedder’s voice, which is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
One of the worst things I’ve ever heard.
I absolutely love this album, but it’s been tainted for me by Kanye’s appalling behaviour. Too bad.
