Reviews (page 10 of 14)

This album is definitely my favorite currently of the zeppelin albums 1-4. Tangerine and immigrant song is great!

Really enjoyable. A classic which I had never listened to from start to finish. Even the strummy acoustic songs rock.

I've probably listened to this the second-most of all zeppelin albums, and for good reason. It's really good. Celebration Day and Gallows Pole are the standouts, and despite it being overplayed for 50 years and its presence in Marvel movies Immigrant Song still rocks pretty hard....

classic

Immigrant Song obviously the most popular but I guess I was expecting something a bit more. This one was quite bluesy/acoustic/folk, probably more than what I would've liked. 7/10.

classic

I usually say I don’t like led zeppelin but I actually enjoyed this album.

Rating: 8/10 Best songs: Immigrant song, Since I’ve been loving you, Out on the tiles, Gallows pole

Sounds a lot like Greta Van Fleet! (Did I make you cringe?! :D ) More seriously, Zeppelin is great. Had not listened to this CD before, a bit of a departure from their popular stuff, had a lot of fun listening to this on repeat.

Didn’t have the magic of some other Led Zeppelin albums, but still a solid listen.

Definitely a repeat listen for some songs like Tangerine and Immigrant Song

Bra skiva!

Cool, classic Led Zeppelin album. Immigrant Song is definitely the best song on album.

Incredible album the whole way through, if I had to give it a complaint, the last track is a bit shit but overall loved it

Opening with the immigrant song is so good. Probably my favorite opening of a Zepplin album. But I don't think it follows the flow of that super well. But man is it a good album. Always thought it was a weird folksy sorta rock, much different than their usual sound anyway. I like it, it's different, not in a bad way. It isn't my favorite Zepplin album.

Yep, it’s good

absolute quality

Really great.

i know a couple of their popular songs and i like dazed and confused. from this tracklist i only know immigrant song. which is so short btw. doesnt do much for me. second song: meh sound and i dislike the lyrics. synth at the end was delicious. LOOOOVE how it carried over into the next song. i like 'celebration day' a lot better in all possible ways. song fades out which is okay but ill be thinking about the previous transition forever. OH i do know this song too ('since ive been loving you'), love it. nice. love a long intro when its this good. next song is good too it was just the second song really that i didnt care about and even then the ending was cool. overall album is very listenable cause i like chill rock songs but i dont think its all that. didnt blow my mind but its good and perfectly enjoyable. i added 'since ive been loving you' to my playlist for songs over 7 plus minutes :)

real good groves. the drums are sick and the bass is nasty.

I grew up on this album. Still holds up.

My favorite so far is “since I’ve been loving you” it gives off a funkadelic soul type of song while still hitting that guitar making it a rock. I love it.

Was just in the right mood for this one. Enjoyed the majority of the tracks - I get a nice wave of nostalgia every time I listen to Led Zep. Probably one I'll come back to again

Solid start with Immigrant Song. By the 2nd song it feels like a solid 4. Love the blues / blue-grass influence of Led Zep, almost a bit slide guitar. And can tell how they've progressed through the last 2 albums to this one. 4/5

Love multiple songs from this gem. It is definitely not the best Zeppelin album, however, it has many highlights. I'd give it 9/10, however, as I can give it only 5 star ranking I am going to give it 4.

This album rips. Immigrant Song is a killer opening track. This era of music, and Led Zepplin in particular, is known for the excess, but you have to respect a 40 minute album.

It's Zeppelin, you know exactly what you're going to get. I did like this more than I usually like them though. I think doing a whole album here works better than the solitary songs I've heard before.

Zep's slightly more folky album. BT: Immigrant Song, Celebration Day, Gallows Pole

Awesome stuff.

Not much to say. It was Great. Every song. Obviously, right?

Wonderful rock record with an equally excellent folkie B side. Rock at its prime in its heyday, difficult to beat

Love this, awesome playing with folk

It's very interesting to listen to some Led Zeppelin songs that aren't part of the greatest hits of the band (for me, the only exception here is "The immigrant song"), but Led Zepelling is always Led Zepellin, so I don't have so much to say: Absolutely amazing

Really good! Didn't expect that sound and really enjoyed it. I think it runs a bit out of steam, but maybe it was just me getting a bit bored :S "Immigrant song", "Celebration Day", "Gallows Pole": BANGERS!

I liked some of it

Haden't heard Tangerine before

I dig it.

Quality listenings

My least favorite of Led Zeppelin's first six albums but again still very good. 1. Gallow's Pole 2. Since I've Been Loving You 3. Tangerine

Classic. Reminds me of college

i could - and would - hate on robert plant's voice until the cows freeze over...but damn, man...bonham.

Diverse and awesome

Discovered Led Zep in 1989 with their (untitled) 4th album. Then, listened to all albums. Top track: Since I've Been Loving You

classic

Classic.

Starts with an all time best riff and has to keep up from there. Awesome.

I've grown to appreciate Zeppelin more and more. Great album.

Very good. Even though most of songs on this album are not mega hits and only Immigrant Song desrves to be called that, it's a very good rock album.

More acoustic than I expected

I had Led Zeppelin 1 come up yesterday, and I'm definitely still a fan of this one, but in comparison, it's not quite the masterpiece that 1 is. It seems more disconnected, and not all the songs are bangers. Still love it though!

slower zep. fav track: that's the way

It’s a zeppelin album. Solid classic rock. Starts with the best - immigrant song.

Great album and powerful album

This album was sick. Got a new song off it, enjoyed it a lot.

For me, there is not a Zeppelin album that is less than a 3. This one- this is a 4.

A great, expansive exploration of sound…on their way to Zeppelin IV!

It doesn't get any more classic than Led Zeppelin. Some great songs.

Zepplin's great

I've heard this album a few times before, it's pretty varied and the songwriting is noticeably a lot better than most other rock from 1970. Zeppelin were ahead of their time, one of the few artists from this exact time that kinda DOES deserve to have a bunch of albums in this list. Everyone loves Immigrant Song etc, but big fan of all the 12-string acoustic stuff as well. Would get a 5 but some of the second half drags a bit. 4/5.

Another amazing zep....

This one is pretty mid for me. While listening I mostly felt bored. The album tries really hard to be raw, emotional, and acoustic-heavy, but it comes off as exaggerated and overwhelming in a way that just feels dull. It’s very raw and scrappy, which can be a good thing, but here it feels messy rather than powerful. The lyrics are quite weak, and Robert Plant’s vocals often sound more strained and struggling than commanding and heavy like on their other records. Overall it just doesn’t hit like their best work. A few tracks do stand out and carry the album — especially “Immigrant Song,” “Out on the Tiles,” “Gallows Pole,” and “Tangerine” — but they’re not enough to save the whole thing from feeling like a bit of a letdown compared to other albums. Not one of their best by a long shot.

What I put down on my first listen: "More folk-rooted than their previous hard hitting records. Robert really carries with his voice." I remember it being more slow, but actually it's less intense than their first two records. Has more of an introspective mood for sure that's added by the folk rock sound of this album (3.5).

Of the pre-In Through the Out Door albums, LZ3 is the underdog. Anyone whose family had a copy was probably fascinated by it, with its rotating die-cut cover, but it's probably the one folks heard least. Sure, Immigrant Song is an iconic beginner, but even the other popular track, Gallows Pole, is among the lesser known hits. It was certainly spun less often than most of its peers. Maybe because it's an allegory for the corruptability of justice, maybe because it's of the “25 minutes to go” school of songs that just keep speeding up, unstoppable, anxiety causing. Immigrant Song is more classic, but Gallows Pole is probably one of Zep's better folk-adjacent songs. 3 also has Since I've Been Loving You, which is one of their purer blues songs and honestly my biggest surprises. “Hats Off…” also mines a similar bluesiness, but more of a slide guitar, folksong blues… there's more of that acoustic vibe on Side 2 than I would have expected from Zep. And there's also Out on the Tiles, which is pretty dramatically similar to Good Times Bad Times. Weird album all around for the boys. At this point, LZ3 is unsurprisingly at the bottom of the pack, outside of those weird stragglers at the end of their career that I'm simply not overly familiar with, but Zep did their thing well enough that that still nets them a strong ⭐️⭐️⭐️, maybe a 3.5. I'll be giving it another spin to get better acquainted, but it really is set apart from the best of the catalog

Expectation: -> Led Zeppelin is one of those bands that everbody loves but I don't really have an opinion either way. Maybe I form one today. After listening: -> Still mostly ambivalent and don't feel connected. Really liked some moments but most of this was just playing in the background while I did something else. I'm realizing that I never recognize when a Zeppelin song is playing on the radio or streaming. Immigrant Song is a standout on this album. Track ranking: Immigrant Tiles Tangerine That's the Way Loving Gallows Celebration Stomp Friends Hats

3.5, this album is technically very very good. The guitar work, whew. Aside from Immigrant Song, I like Friends and Since I've Been Loving You. I appreciate the artistry, but the band and their music don't resonate with me as much as I would like.

it's alright, definitely a blast but I wasn't really blown away by it.

Immigrant song is cool and stands out to me, but the rest is just classic led Zeppelin sound that you're either into or your not

Led Zepplin dude. Insane opening track, great album.

Good album but my least listened to Led Zeppelin. I like Houses of the Holy more, and III is my lowest ranked of the first four. Still Zep and still good but this one is a 3 for me

I am sure it was great then. Now it is and sounds old.

Classic LED Zeppelin. Some really great songs and some that are too long and repetitive.

A disappointing album from Led Zeppelin. Since I've Been Loving You is really good and Gallows Pole is pretty good, but the rest is pretty average. 3 stars or C+.

Never a fan but enjoyable enough. One for the tokers at uni.

Some solod tracks

It was pretty good but still way too overrated. Feels like the songs kinda blend together at times. Favorite track(s) Since I've Been Loving You Tangerine

Fine! Zeppelin doesn't do much for me in my day-to-day. Good for a workout I guess. "Immigrant Song" is the famous one off this album which I instantly recognized.

Classic rock

Great listen. The first song got me hype and sent off into the rest of the album!

If you told someone to listen to Zeppelin you wouldn’t recommend this first but you wouldn’t recommend it last either. It’s overall a very good album some songs personally I felt dragged on way longer than they had to.

Some of the songs feel very country. The album is nice to listen to but for me it's probably a one time listen. Songs I liked Immigrant song Gallows pole Celebration day Tangerine 7/10

you know, it's fine

Their typical sound and everlasting quality; although this album is without their most notable hits, it has become a foundation in their versatile opus 👏

Pretty Good

I should listen to more led zeppelin huh

Certainly not the best Led Zeppelin album. 3.2/5

7 / 10

Solid album with almost no recognizable singles

all day Green Day W album

A destacar: Track 1 - Immigrant Song Track 3 - Celebration Day Track 4 - Since I’ve Been Loving You Track 5 - Out On the Tiles Track 7 - Tangerine Track 9 - Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

I come from the land of the ice and snow… What? Don’t tell me you’ve never had a Led out? AAAHHHAAAHHH HHAA!!!

Buiten Immigrant song, te veel country...

Much much better than physical graffiti, but still not my jam.

6/10 - it's good but Immigrant song is the best and the others are all passengers

Never been a Zepp guy. Having said that, Since I've Been Loving You is a bloody great.

I think it's at times great, but also pushy too no end, everything is so maxed out it doesnt breath much. Sure its great, and if you like "too much" this is perfect for you, but I guess I wasn't in the mood yesterday

Immigrant song - 5/5 Friends - 3/5 Celebration day - 2/5 Since I've been loving you - 3/5 Out on the tiles - 3/5 Gallows pole - 3/5 Tangerine - 4/5 Thats the way - 3/5 Bron Y aur stomp - 3/5 Hats off to (Roy)Harper - 1/5

Immigrant Song", "Since I've Been Loving You", "Out on the Tiles", "Gallows Pole"

I miss the energy and creativity from their debut. I don’t know if they could ever top it.

Good but not their best

I’d only heard the first track, so as far as I’m concerned, this is a surprising and varied album. Three stars…

Less enjoyable than the first one from them. Beginning is very iconic, but after that is very slow. I was just dissapointed.

ive been quite fond of this album cover for a while but as it turns out i dont like the album that much. sad!

Immigrant Song is iconic in its own right, followed by some tonal shifts with Friends and Celebration Day. Out On The Tiles is great, but Since I’ve Been Loving You goes at least three minutes longer than it should. Gallows Pole stands out with its roots of old English folk music. Overall, a solid first album on this long journey!

7.5/10 This album has arguably my favourite classic rock song of all time on it, as well as two of my other overall favourites from Led Zeppelin. The rest, as far as Led Zeppelin songs go, I always think are quite uninspiring Favourites: Immigrant Song Since I’ve Been Loving You ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tangerine

Nothing to get very excited about, nothing to really dislike.

sigma balls

Diooos! Empieza siendo Shrek 3, amo.

Great record! Zepplin 2 thru 4 is a great run of albums. This one is probably weaker than the other two but still, a record with immigrant song on it can't be bad at all

Better than IV

Malo me manje iritirao od drugih Zeppelin albuma. To je napredak.

Noice leuk album met lekkere nummas

the opening of immigrant song with the, like, george of the jungle howl is pretty good. no thoughts on friends. no thoughts on celebration day. no thoughts on since i've been loving you. no thoughts on out on the tiles. gallows pole has a great rhythm to it. tangerine is the catchiest of the bunch so far but it's kind of a low bar for catchiness (i do not think they are going for "catchy" at all). that's the way has better vocals than the rest, it's sort of ballady, and i think i like that more than the, i don't know, airy/atmospheric vocals of the rest of the album. the opening of bron-y-aur stomp sounds kind of like, banjo-ey and that's pretty dancey but it literally turns into stomp clap which i have been informed via osmosis is cringe. hats off to (roy) harper sounds like someone just found out about knobs and is playing a tape while cranking those knobs all over the place like a child, genuinely stupid song tangerine > bron-y-aur stomp > i guess immigrant song for the cool yelling melody thing and the rest is kind of whatever

I need to remember that this is a lesson in music history more than anything else. It's interesting to hear this album in retrospective to see how many sounds it has inspired. Since I've been loving you is really interesting but prior songs have been sonically basic. Gallows Pole also stands out and immigrant song is a pop culture classic.

Good. A classic. But I'm so tired of listening to Led Zeppelin.

i yearn for rock n roll dudes to shred their vocal chords again

It was fine. Kind of disappointing, I don't love Plant's voice.

Never listened to this one all the way through. Good but not my favorite Zeppelin

Not my favorite Led Zeppelin release, but not half bad

Y'know, I think this might be my least favorite of the first four. I'm not steeped in the fandom enough to know if this is a popular or unpopular opinion. Here I was ready to rock, and then discovering there's a bunch of only ok stuff on here I'd forgotten about. Still, pretty good.

I will be the first to admit I underrated "Physical Graffiti", I listened to it on a poor stereo system and was talking to my partner the majority of the time. One of these days I'll get around to messaging this site's creator and editing my review there. That being said, Zeppelin and I do not mesh, something about the lead singer's voice and general classic rock vibe is something that I *personally* do not love. This album is beyond competent but its also a snooze from time-to-time. The highs are really high though. 3.5/5

pretty cool

Immigrant Song - 5/5 Friends - 4/5 Celebration Day - 3/5 Since I've Been Loving You - 5/5 Out on the Tiles - 4/5 Gallows Pole - 3/5 Tangerine - 3/5 That's the Way - 3/5 Bron-Y-Aur Stomp - 4/5 Hats Off to (Roy) Harper - 2/5 Average score: 3.6/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

People who love their debut and the stellar follow up may not see the goodness on their third release. It's a little different and maybe not as straightforward rock n' roll as its predecessors. "Immigrant Song" is hard rock at it's finest and it's kicked off the album and 1970 in style! Everyone knows that song, just a fact, as nearly a billion people have listened to it on Spotify. "Tangerine" (132M) & "Out On The Tiles" (28M) are popular but underrated as a classic rock songs. "Since I've Been Loving You" (145M) is a radio staple and one of their true slow songs. "Gallows Pole" (36M) was always on the radio when I was a kid but you don't hear it as much now. "That's The Way" (48M) is solid but doesn't feel complete. The other 4 tracks are filler in my book ("Friends, "Celebration", "Bron-y-aur Stomp" & "Hats Off To (Roy) Harper", but all have 10M-44M listens, more than most albums on this list. 3 stars, it's not their finest but it's diverse and the killer songs outweigh the weak ones.

Olipa niin legendaarisia kappaleita tässä että huhhels!

not really something i would listen to but it was ok, it was fun at times. faves: since i've been loving you, tangerine, that's the way

It's fine, iI honestly expected more from Led Zepplin here

I just don't like em that much and this album doesn't need to be here. It's good tho Will I listen to again: 10%

I like Led Zeppelin but I've never been a fan of this album.

Same vibe as immigrant song, about what I expected

Immigrant song is amazing. The rest is so boring.

Git 3 Halogen Zeppelin

Good ole Zed Leppelin.

I like the jangly slide guitar. Great opening song, the rest seemed more experimental, or closer to country/folk at times. Need a closer listen but so far not my fave Zep album.

Great album. But, I don’t have any impressions of it…

while being the weakest zepp ive heard so far there is always something interesting going on, the folky vibe contrasts with the overflowing energy of their other works not saying it is bad, but it fails to provide the instant gratification my doomscroller mind is used to makes you want to pick the acoustic and strum the fuck out of it tho

Started strong, ended very very meh.

Mi FAV FAV FAV (esa si me encanto) es la de since ive been loving you. WOW!!!! y tangerine tambien esta buena yay

*1970 *Immigrant Song and Tangerine are the only big ones here. *It was okay, but totally forgettable. RATING - 6.5/10

ilk şarkısı güzel kalanı benlik degil

their worst major album imo

Led Zeppelin III is not as consistently overwhelming as II or as all-conquering as IV. It is more uneven. Some tracks feel more interesting than essential. “Friends” is cool and texturally rich, but not fully transcendent. “Hats Off to (Roy) Harper” is the kind of track people politely call adventurous when they really mean minor and odd. The album has a few moments where experimentation adds color more than greatness.

Immigrant Song? Fucking amazing. The rest? OK.

“Immigrant Song” is a fucking crazy banger. I have to be careful if that song comes on while I’m driving. John Paul Jones does bananas bass work in general but he is on fire on that opener. The rest is pleasant but sometimes indulgent and boring. They’re on their way to bigger, punchier, less derivative things.

Muy buena guitarra. Buenas canciones pero no todas. Hay algunas que no son mi estilo

Rockin mestariteos? No ei todellakaan! Hyvä 1970-luvun rocklevy? Kyllä vaan! Immigrant sinä tuttu, muuten ei juurikaan. Tämän levyn perusteella zeppelinin hypetys ei (vieläkään) itselleni aukea. 3/5

Liked: Since I've Been Loving You

Moderately familiar with this album from before. I struggle with this band. I want so badly to love them but there’s something missing and I’ve never been able to figure it out. The music is ok but Robert Plant’s vocals are mediocre at best. SNS. 3/5

Good album.

Much like I and II really

A score to match the album

Alr in love with immigrant song and one other song on the album but we’ll see how the rest goes. I don’t normally listen to Led Zeppelin but have been wanting to get into them. They’re a little harder rock then I normally listen to but I think I’ll love this album. Don’t think I’m the biggest fan of Friends..

Jimmy Page’s magpie eclecticism is in fine form here—blues he can’t quit, folk he can’t quite pull off, and rock bombast he can’t resist—but Robert Plant’s banshee yelp still tests the tolerance of anyone not fully converted to the Church of Golden God. Side two settles into something warmer and less self-impressed, proof that their pastoral ambitions aged better than their hammer-of-the-gods cosplay. Highlights include the thudding, goofy battle cry of “Immigrant Song,” the mandolin-jangle hustle of “Gallows Pole,” and “Tangerine,” a wistful near-prototype for the Tolkien-lite epics to come.

IMMIGRANT SONGG SOLID ALBUM..enjoyable throughout with some peak moments..but again..the highest point came early with the opener..from there still great songs..but not quite as good..still enjoyed listening to it..but is it what I would put on and listen start to end? Nah..

Good. Not great. But really good and really cool.

Not my fave Zep but still good -

Spectacular. So much range here

I've never listened to Led Zepplin before aside from background jukebox music in bars. Everyone told me this would be the album I would like best because I like a lot of indie rock. I dunno. I just can't get into it. It gets a 3 from me because it's still great background jukebox bar music.

Me gusta, todavía no para volver a escucharlo

Interesting

Some people say they are zeppelin people. Some say they’re stones people. I am both.

I don't dislike this as I did IV

I liked the acoustic guitar parts the best!

Quite soft for a led album

Interesting shift in direction. Some acoustic ideas land really well, others feel like sketches more than fully formed tracks.

Starts strong, but then gets a bit bland with the occasional reminder of what they could do thrown in.

This is my third Zeppelin album within the span of about a month. I'm less than 50 albums in so far, maybe I'll get them all super early on. Anyway, as is usual with Zeppelin, the instrumentation and musical skill are top notch. This album also incorporated more soft and introspective folk songs (which they do very well) and less heavier rock n' roll. The songs are never boring and always unique. I still find their debut album to be my favorite, but the tracks "Friends" and "That's the Way" were personal standouts.

i like led zeppelin but idt this is my favourite album from them. it feels like a typical led zeppelin album but the tracks don’t really stand out. immigrant song might be my favourite song from them though

Immigrant Song almost justifies this album's entry to the list by itself. The second track, Friends, is great instrumentally, but the screechy vocals spoil it. The rest is all fine. Recognisably Led Zeppelin but nothing that memorable for me.

I so wanted to like this, and had great expectations. It just didn't hit the spot.

AaaaaaaaaaAAAHA-AH!

6.8/10

Not as good as IV. Don't need the white boy blues. Highlight: Out on the Tiles

i like song 3 and really like song 4 why does it turn into a folk album at the end

None of the songs stuck out to me. Very meh

I should love Led Zep. I really should. I like rock. I like metal. But Zep get so samey. By the end of the record I was tired of the constant wailing of Mr Plant. And tired of the same blues riffs. It's an ok album, don't get me wrong. But they aren't the messiahs. In my opinion, Plant isn't even that great a singer. They influenced a lot of bands more because they were early adopters than because of some genius. Granted, they laid the foundations for other bands to build on... who then did it better. I'm sad that I can't get excited about this album.

- enjoying this more than the other Brit albums so far - kind of fun - he like to yell - might listen again

Opens with their all-time hard rock song but mainly excels in the softer moments. Highlights: "Immigrant Song", "Tangerine", "That's the Way"

Everything these guys produce is high quality and a musical treat. Having said that, this isn’t among my favorite Led Zep albums.

Is it this good? I don’t find it too special. It’s not too bad but could be a bit overrated? Immigrant song very good but I’m not too sure about the rest, not my favourite type of vocals either.

a pretty good rock album. Immigrant Song is the highlight of the album. its just so good, it rocks so hard. I think that Bron-Y-Aur Stomp was also pretty fantastic. the rest of the album was good, but not great in my opinion

That's The Way

Fine! Didn't like this one as much as the first album. 6/10

A strong album overall, but not my favorite from them. Only a few songs really stood out to me. Top Songs: Immigrant Song, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

Great opener with Immigrant Song.

Again, not too big of a Led Zeppelin fan, ig i liked “Immigrant song”

Some decent songs, ‘Tangerine’ is pretty and ‘Immigrant Song’ goes hard. Pretty cool stuff, especially for 1970.

This is a good album, but it’s not my favorite Zeppelin record. It’s not quite the record Zeppelin II is, but they more than make up for it in Zeppelin IV.

They actually called it Led Zeppelin III because they knew it was gonna be a 3/5 album

Immigrant Song is the stand out tune here.

I've never liked Led Zeppelin, but this is my favorite that I've heard of them so far. Part of it is likely that they influenced so many bands that I like that the sound feels too familiar and uninteresting. I'm guessing if I listened to this a few times I might like it a lot more.

Didnt listen

Huge opening, but definitely lost me halfway 3

Maybe not my favourite LZ album I've had on this list, but still better than a lot of other albums in general

not the best led zeppelin album

Quando a ouço eu 100% entendo quem é fanboy da banda), e a eletrizante Out On The Tiles. 3.5

aaaaaaah aaaah

Standouts Immigrant Song Celebration Day Since I've Been Loving You

Overall pretty good, and well put together. I just don’t think I like Plant’s vocals all that well. 3.5/5

I might say this every time we get Zeppelin but they are not really my thing but this charmed me. I do love The Immigrant Song so it was a cracking start and then I was really enjoying it up until the end of Gallows Pole when I felt it dropped off a cliff. Like they just were contractually obliged to pad it out. 5/5 until then. 3.5 overall, probably rounding down because I was so disappointed in the rest.

classic 80s music. again not my style

entretenido, algunas mejores que otras

Just exhausting.

Not my favorite Zeppelin but still good

Not my favourite Led Zeppelin album. The Immigrant Song and Since I’ve Been Loving You are obvious highlights.

AAAAAaaaaaAAAAAA AAAAAAHHHH!!!

classic but not their best

2 legendary songs but the rest was a bit of a let down.

Best bluesy, best nice

the last few songs were very country hippy erm yeah. not really my vibe but maybe i’m just not cool enough to get it. 3 stars!

it might just be my dopamine deficient zoomer brain, but this was honestly a bit of a slog to get through. i might come back to it later.

This album is definitely interesting. Probably something I will revisit, but none of the songs really stand out to me.

I cannot deny the musical talent needed to create an album like this. They do a wonderful job on that end of things. Personally, I absolutely hate this album. It is not for me at all. Their style that is presented for most of the album is not great, obviously I love immigrant song though. You can never go wrong with that one but the entire rest of the album feels like it has a totally different vibe and it’s not one that I would generally come back to listen to.

Immigrant Song sets a bar the rest of the album can't quite reach...

It's OK. Presumably original at the time. But meh.

I think even a 3 is generous. Very unremarkable. I'm sure they did better albums than this though

Immigrant Song kicks this off in the best fashion, but I was somewhat dreading an hour of that sound as I've never really gelled with Led Zepp beyond that I was wrong! This is a good album, with some gorgeous highs and lows and flow, with some tender moments backed up by 4 clearly super talented individuals. That's The Way a real highlight

Probably my least favorite Zeppelin album, but of course the worst Zep album is better than the vast majority of albums out there. I feel it opens really strong with Immigrant Song, but then never quite reaches those highs again. Also doesn't include any of my personal all-time favorite Zeppelin songs.

More rock n roll🫩 5/10

Solid, but i’d say its one of the weakest from Zep’s golden age, pales especially to IV and Physical Graffiti.

I'd say 2,5/5 well made and iconic for the genre admirers i guess but absolutely not my style

It’s Led Zeppelin. Solid rock tunes. Not all are home runs like The Immigrant Song.

liked 2 songs- but one of them was tangerine, which i already knew lmao didn’t hate it by any means but didn’t love it and wouldn’t put it on again unless it came on thru a spotify radio or something

The later songs are easier to listen to. The first few songs while rocking are in most cases forgettable except for the Immigrant Song.

I thought led was just one guy 😭 ( super cool creative sound just wasn’t what I’m used to)

7/10 not really my vibe

Obviously a great album with a few other their all time best songs, but other songs are pretty average for LZ.

7/10- I assume I, II, IV, and maybe Physical Graffiti will appear throughout this journey, but it feels odd getting III before all the others. Overall it’s a good album and this album has some great songs. I don’t love Plant and I feel like this album is heavy on it.

I like the traditional, English folk style songs on here. I'm just not a huge Led Zeppelin fan as I can't get behind Robert Plant's voice. Strong 6/10

Totally get why this might be seen as a classic. Some of the songs are timeless - Immigrant Song, Tangerine - but when it gets into the more folksy bluesy stuff with the extreme slide guitars I'm just not that much of a fan. All the musicians are prodigiously talented. I could listen to Robert Plants voice all day long, but to be honest prefer when he applies this to his more recent stuff, even his solo work from the 80s really works for me. Undeniably important record (I really like the early synth atmosphere on some of the tracks on the record as well) but it's not all my cup of tea.

Not as strong as II or IV but that’s a high bar to clear. 3.5 Stars

My tia really likes Led Zepplin, so I'm pretty disappointed i didn't like this album as much as I expected. While I enjoyed the instrumentation, I am a vocalist at heart; vocals can totally make or break a song for me. I understand the appeal of Robert Plant's powerful voice but the pitch and tonality totally lose me.

More like Led Zeppelin 3 stars

As a casual fan, I was already vaguely familiar with this record, but I’m more drawn to I and IV. A few great tunes including Tangerine which I’d forgotten about, but too much acoustic fluff.

Not my fav but the acoustic songs HIT

Great first half, but then forgets to be interesting for the rest of it. Wish I could give a 3.5 stars.

Very Zeppelin

I am so surprised I like this record at all. Like, genuinely surprised. I hated Led Zeppelin II and Physical Graffiti and thought they were absolute garbage. So why does this work with me? Who the fuck knows.

I didn’t expect it to be so pastoral after the first song. It almost won me over but the last song seemed really self-indulgent. I never realized how much influence the White Stripes took from this band

Nice! Loved That's The Way :)

a way better album than the previous two. The song tangerine is probably my favorite off this one.

A vibe but not really my vibe, at least the first half anyway. I like the songs that sound like they were made at the beginning of the 1970’s (that’s the way and since I’ve been loving you were personal favourites)

Heard some songs before; 3.5; Not really sure what it is, but this album doesn't do a whole lot for me. After I few listens, I enjoy the songs more and appreciate that there's a little more nuance and variety in the instruments and styles. Also fun every. At the same time, the songs feel a little repetitive within themselves to me. Favorite Track: Out on the Tiles

Tangerine lemppari. Classic rock vähän liian kuivaa. Ehkä paremmilla kuulokkeilla ois pitäny kuunnella?

Not my favorite Zeppelin album but it has some good songs 3.5 stars

favorite - tangerine 7/10

A lot of people rip on this album - it’s not my favorite Led Zeppelin album but certainly not a flop! Though I don’t like Roy Harper. But I love Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

3.5 Standout songs: Since I’ve Been Loving You, Tangerine, and That’s The Way

Not really my style and would need to be in the mood but still great album!

Liked some songs more than I thought but in general not for me. Think this might be a recurring theme for most of these albums 🫠

Obviously knew immigrant song. Appreciate the chill side of this, some great road trip songs on here. Saved Since I’ve Been Loving You, Out on the Tiles, That’s the Way, and Bron-Y-Aur Stomp. I don’t trust them to not be soooo offensive but didn’t listen very closely, so fingers crossed they’re not?

I've just started to expand my music taste from mainstream pop, so getting adjusted to new genres is a task. Therefore, take my rating with a pinch of salt. While I absolutely loved the guitar throughout the album, the vocals were a bit too harsh for my liking. I can see myself appreciating this album 10x more once my taste broadens. Definitely worth the listen.

I mean I added 3 songs out of 10 if that adds to my opinion.I did already have immigrant song and since I've been loving you, pretty peak songs would I listen to the whole album? no probably not

Ehhh it was okay

Acoustic country meets classic prog rock, favourites: immigrant song, since I've been loving you

Not good but not bad 🦭

Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite bands of all time. While I love most of their output, I have conflicting thoughts on 'III' in particular. The content of this album sounds very inspired and forward-thinking for 1970. Innovative and enjoyable are two very different concepts, however. For example, 'Friends', and 'Celebration Day', the second and third tracks respectively, sound very fresh and quite unique. But they also don't really make me feel anything, which is unlike what I generally want from music. There are exceptions of course, 'Immigrant Song' is just awesome and I love the Norse mythology-themed lyrics. 'Since I've Been Loving You' has a reputation that precedes it, and it is almost as good as people say. Or is it as good as people say? I don't know, it rocks! 'Tangerine' is so damn beautiful. A few diamonds in the rough are sadly not enough to keep 'Led Zeppelin III' from being the worst of the best Led Zeppelin material. At least it's better than 'In Through the Out Door'? Best songs: Immigrant song, Since I've Been Loving You, Tangerine, Gallows Pole Worst songs: Friends, Celebration Day, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp Abysmal: Hats Off to (Roy) Harper

Much more my style of music, big fan of old Rock. Lots of ones I recognize too. Faves: Immigration Song, Tangerine, that’s the way Least faves: friends, hats of to roy

This is ok, but overall pretty unmemorable. Not really Zeppelin's best, but even not great for them is still pretty good.

Not my favourite Zeppelin album, but see how the link between 1,2 and 3 would make Led Zeppelin 4 the major album it became. Too folky for me, but perhaps the band needed that change from the big bluesy rock of the first two albums? However, as with my previous album, having gone back to it now, I have warmed to it.

I listened to a few of the songs. They were …alright. Not really my style though, might listen again??

Never been a huge fan of Plant’s voice. Favorite two - since I’ve been loving you & bron-Y-aur-stomp.

Understand the talent, liked one of the more soulful tracks, but th rest wasn’t really for me!

It starts off with Immigrant Song and you're like FUCK YEAH...and then you get a bunch of tracks of jaunty bullshit. This album sounds like what a dweeb would say his favorite Zeppelin was.

Middle of the pack Led Zep album. Immigrant song, Since I’ve Been Loving You, That’s the Way are highlights.

It is a kick-ass blues rock album and if it was their debut I would have rated it higher. To me it is a step in the wrong direction from their first 2 albums. There are 3 of my all time favorite tunes from Zep on this album, so great highs, and at the same time a couple of my least favorites are on here too.

I like the cover art a lot. This seems more experimental, I found some parts pretty boring. High 3.

The music is fine, but the whole experience is dominated by Plant' vocals, which are not.

friends is an underrated song

sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit

Led Zeppelin 3 out of Led Zeppelin 5

Not their best, but does contain Since I've Been Lovin You and Tangerine, two of their most underrated

Immigrant song is amazing and such a great way to start an album. I liked the long 6/8 blues jam and the acoustic stuff on the backend but overall considering how well regarded they are, I didn’t connect with this album.
