Little Wing
Only released 3 albums when he was alive
I've been listening to John Mayer cover these songs for years.
Classic album with some top tracks on it. Little Wing in particular is my favourite song by him.
I understand why, but it's not my thing. 4.0
Hendrix in 1967, way ahead of his time I enjoy most his his songs, this was a good album
More mellow than yellow, a smooth album that'll get your feet tappin'. With story telling lyrics next to open hearted love letters.
It's Jimi so auto 4/5
Castles Made of Sand is a 6/5 song.
My favorite Hendrix album
Groovy, liked this more than I expected to
Jimi Hendrix's music is always extraordinary. I am a pretty avid fan of 60's rock so I thoroughly enjoyed this album. It was short and sweet to the point. I read up a lot on Jimi Hendrix and one of my favorite performances was when he performed the Star Spangled Banner in his own unique interpretation. This was when America was in the grips of the unpopular Vietnam War and a significant event in the tumultuous and riotous 60s.
"Little Wing" must have been a gift from God, because yeah, the album on its own is already great, but the moment "Little Wing" comes on, you just feel something shift. It's pure musical perfection, from the laid-back guitar opening with that smooth drum roll to the raw voice cracks in Jimi Hendrix’s vocals. The rest of the album holds its ground with highs like "Spanish Castle Magic," "One Rainy Wish," and "Bold as Love." Just a strong, inspired record exactly what you'd expect from the guitar god. 8.5/10.
A hendrix album I don't have and haven't heard much from. Might be my least favourite Hendrix, but that doesn't exactly mean much, it's still a great album but doesn't hit like the other two. 3.5 rounded up Heard before? A couple of tracks Owned: No: 22/1001, 22/91 (24%) Will I get? Maybe
A titanic classic of an album. Imperfect but really dang good.
The jump into production quality is kinda nuts. The first half is a great drum driven blues rock album way more than the opener would make it seem. Still 3.5? It’s just a bit of a slog. It gets a 4 because of the final and title track
Incredible vibes. Probably my favourite version of Jimi. Always been confused on how the producer got it to sound so incredible, but then also decided to randomly whack the balance slider back and forth. Was this the first time he had that function?
Hendrix always brilliant!
Sounded way more like a modern album than I thought from his hits. Really enjoyed listening to the front half, and while the latter half lost my attention I still enjoyed.
brabo demais
The only kind of Axis I can get on board with.
very trippy very original very niiice
Not quite as good as electric ladyland.
Super, ale celý album by som si bezne nepustil, nie je to hudba na hocijakú príležitosť
8/10
Ah…the difficult second album. I’m a bit conflicted because of all of the Hendrix discography, this record is a bit of an outlier. Sure there are only four records, 3 with as the Jimi Hendrix Experience and 1 as the Band of Gypsys. There is probably little argument that Electric Ladyland is the sonic achievement of Hendrix’s far too short career. So what about Axis? I think it’s a gem with tremendous diversity and sonically perfect. The opener EXP signals that this was not going to be a rehash of Are You Experienced?, but also that the experience was going to live up to the name. The jazzy Up From the Skies is followed by the stellar Spanish Castle Magic. For me, this is where the album starts. Spanish Castle Magic, Wait Until Tomorrow, Ain’t No Tellin, Little Wing and If 6 was 9 are a pretty spectacular run of tracks showing off Hendrix increasingly better lyric proficiency with his guitar prowess evident but played in service of the song. This is where you notice the equally perfect playing of Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell. The album finishes pretty strong with You Got Me Floatin’ and the Noel Redding sung She’s So Fine being the standouts. Super efficient album with 13 tracks in 39 minutes. For me the only kind of misses come at the end - One Rainy Wish is kinda dull, Little Miss Lover feels unfinished with some repetitive noodling and Bold As Love is lyrically excellent but this song too feels unfinished. Maybe cut off the last minute which I think is a bit unnecessary. Perhaps the box set coming out next month will include the mono version which I’ve heard is the definitive version. We’ll see. Still a pretty awesome record by a guy with a unique vision at the height of his powers. Rock n Roll was not the same after this. How do I know. Because I was there :)
Some bangers…I just don’t love it as much as I arguably should.
a jimi album is such a treat. Just want to listen to this on repeat. it's a shame he didn't live longer! sexy, fun, loud, rock out, in the feels, and all the rest. what an artist
81/100. A great psychedelic rock album. It features fun, inventive riffs and showcases strong chemistry between the band members. Hendrix’s guitar work is captivating, blending technical brilliance with emotional depth.
The soundtrack to a morning of sending emails to government agencies on matters of cooler possession. The psychedelic jamming flowing out of my fingers and onto the keyboard.
Never listened to this album before. It was interesting… I of course have heard the famous jimmi hendrix songs before but never one of his albums.
worst guitarist ever
Castles made of sand fall back in the sea...eventually.
This is the first Jimi Hendrix Album i listened to, it was good, but i guess very different than i anticipated.
Thank god, I needed a palate cleanser from that Paul Simon album. This was funky and groovy, Little Wing and One Rainy Wish were by far my favorite songs on the album. He’s a master on the guitar of course, made me wish more artists were doing this these days. The lyrics leave something to be desired but that’s not really the point of his music! Appreciated that as he said, he’ll always let his freak flag fly 🙂↕️Sad that he only got to make music for four short years, just thinking about all he could’ve done with more time.

Great album
Je n’avais jamais pris le temps d’écouter un album de Jimi Hendrix, mais j’ai beaucoup apprécié!
Great album
Jimi is what we knew he was.
Great album but it opens with an awful opening song. Gives you vertigo if you're wearing headphones. Rest is excellent.
Hot, sexy, soulful, groovy and trippy improv from the late great!
i feel like i understand frank ocean more
*Loved the guitar but didn't love a lot of the vocals. *Can appreciate the musicianship but not quite enough for a 5.
I've listened to Are You Experienced before this. This is less cohesive and self-assured, though it does have its strong moments. Exp definitely comes off as an excessive load of studio noise with nothing musically interesting. It gets much better, musically, after that. But per my self-inflicted policy, if I don't at least "like" every single song on a record, that record cannot receive a perfect (5-star) rating. There are other things that are detrimental to Axis's perfection, though. All of the tracks before Little Wing are fairly good, but lack many convincing hooks or melodies. Hendrix is very strong at a sort of "riffing" vocal that lingers on one bluesy note for a long time, sounding almost like proto-rap/R&B material. This is not good. Most listeners are looking for melody when they want something they can sing along to and share with their friends – hence the success of more melodic tracks like Little Wing and Castles Made of Sand. Other songs on here, like You Got Me Floatin' and Up From The Skies, are good enough, but their melodies really hold them back. Throughout Axis, the main focus seems to be on jumping on the psychedelia bandwagon (though to be fair, Are You Experienced did this back when the bandwagon didn't exist). I'll let it slide just this once, Jimi. There's a ton of playing with the mixing equipment, seen most frequently in the form of sound panning. The guitar, drum, and bass goes every which way throughout the record. It's honestly really fun, if very much a product of its time. That album cover screams "all the hippies love Indian culture and so do I, wink wink." It's a lot less cool when everybody is doing it, and also when the music itself is not at all indicative of Indian influence. I do like all of Jimi's hands, though. It's how I usually picture him when I hear his guitar playing. 4/5 Key tracks: Little Wing, If 6 Was 9, Castles Made of Sand
I knew pretty much none of these before but they might actually be some of my favourite Hendrix songs Wiggy
Bit of a strange start on this one if you’re expecting quintessential Hendrix but quickly settles in to more familiar territory. True guitar wizardry across a varied collection of tracks. The vocal performance and songwriting are inconsistent and never quite get in sync, but the individual highs are worth the lesser efforts. Listened to: walking in Park Slope. Favorite tracks: Spanish Castle Magic, Little Wing, If 6 Was 9, Bold as Love
Cool album enjoyed the vibes!! 7.1/10
I never got much into Jimi even though I am guitar freak. I appreciated that people loved and respected him AND I'd read enough about him to think he was a great person. It's just that none of the music grabbed me. Over time I grew to like some of the songs, but I don't think I ever really just thought "Let me throw some Hendrix on!" Listening to this was an eye-opener because I think most of the songs sound a bit different from the three songs you usually hear on the radio or wherever. Mitch Mitchell is a great drummer, but it's usually a little muddy in the production. Must have been great live! He brought a lot of the jazziness that showed up here, for sure. "Up From The Skies" is really good and I can hear where Stevie Ray Vaughan got his inspiration from. "Little Wing" is a fantastic song and I've liked pretty much every cover I've heard of it, too. I bet I'll listen to this album again.
Day 39 8/10 Highlights Wait until Tomorrow If 6 was 9 Bold as Love
Prime experimental Hendrix. Lovely stuff but kinda choppy for an album. 8/10
You could give this album a 4 just for Little Wing. Definitely doesn't hurt having If 6 was 9 and Spanish Castle Magic on here as well. 4 for now, could go up.
Wowwwww I prefer this one to electric ladyland, no matter like it or not Hendrix was such a genius
Jim jimi not the big hitters but stil alright.
Like this a lot.
Pretty grand
I have no problems with this album. I actually really enjoyed it. My favorite were Bold as Love, One Rainy Wish, and Little Miss Lover. I liked the mix of tempo throughout the album and I think it’s interesting how one song can change so many times. I like that he builds a lot of anticipation in his music.

- did not expect that opening track. I figured it would be more of a straightforward rock sound, but this album feels a little more loose and deconstructed than what I expected. "Bold as Love" at the very end of the album feels like a perfect summary of everything good about what the listener has just heard, which I think makes it a perfect title track - the focus is almost always on Jimi whenever anyone talks about the Jimi Hendrix Experience, but Mitch Mitchell is insanely talented on drums. the rhythms and tone complement everything from some soft guitar noodling and light atmospheric sounds in the background to heavy chorus power chords, as if he knew when the drums should come forward to hold up the song vs. when they should back off and make room for other instruments and effects - "Little Wing" is a nice slow groove, and the psychedelic jazziness of "If 6 was 9" was a nice surprise to hear when I expected something more straightforward like "Purple Haze." there's a real Beatles-esque sound to "She's So Fine," and "One Rainy Day" feels like if staring into a lava lamp was a song - I'm wondering about the lyrical similarities between the openings of "If 6 Was 9" and Led Zeppelin's "Thank You," which came out a few years later and is definitely not about the same subject. was there a common source both groups were drawing inspiration from around that time? - making guitar distortion and squeals essentially its own instrument is objectively a ballsy thing to do, but today's music is better as a result. "squeaky guitar" artists like Jack White wouldn't be as successful today were it not for that innovation - the beat and opening riff in "Little Miss Lover" sounds extremely similar to another Led Zeppelin song from their first album ("How Many More Times"), as well as the drums around the 2:30 mark in "Bold as Love." (this can't be a coincidence, can it?) I used to think of the Jimi Hendrix Experience as solidly rock 'n roll (mostly from being grouped into the same "classic rock starter pack" as Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, and all the other groups the 2003 movie "School of Rock" awakened preteen boys to), but this album was colorful, melodic, and trippy in ways I did not expect
I have a lot of Hendrix in my collection, but this is an album I missed completely. Thanks for correcting my oversight
Could have been bolder and lovelier.
Low 4? Great drums, some really nice songs, just not consistently great for me
When I first listened I didn’t enjoy it as much as I had been expecting to. I found some of it a bit busy. I enjoyed the album a lot more on a second listen though. Fav song: One Rainy Wish - also liked Castles Made of Sand and If 6 Was 9 Least fav: Ain’t No Telling
Was a Bit all over the place. Didn’t like the intro at all. Castles in the sand was good. Didn’t like how he used the surround audio as well. Like stay in one place mate. Specific rating- 3.8 Fav song- castles in the sand Least fav- little wing
straight air guitar and head banging
Good album. Very enjoyable. Intro sucks ass though.
Amazing pure rock in its most molten form.
Plus clean que le premier. Quelques sons incroyables mais un peu "more of the same" par bouts, par rapport au premier. Little Wing et Castles Made of Sand sont peak electric guitar. 3.75 étoiles
It’s a high 4 but It’s definitely not as good as Electric Ladyland or Are You Experienced
Probably many favorite Hendrix album. Really leans into some softer, beautiful songs. This is close to a 5 but there are a few that just don’t do it for me. Either way, awesome album. Little wing is so damn good
Always related to Hendrix as a live performer and most of my experience of him so nice to approach an album to see how that comes across. Interesting to read about Hendrix’s dislike of the artwork, but put out regardless. Feels the classic Hendrix sound. That dirty distortion and unmistakeable voice and groove. The soul of ‘Wait Until Tomorrow’ that could just as easy be an Anderson.Paak song released today. Great balance of groove and steady songs, even with all that talent under the hood. Such great arrangements and tightness between the instruments in staccato and syncopation. I feel there is so much going on in this album that I want to listen through again, already.
Some bangers, but some fillter
Enjoyable with one or two standout tracks.
Nothing here as iconic as "Hey Joe" or "All Along the Watchtower" (with the possible exception of "Little Wing"), but this is definitely an album that shows off Hendrix's range and sublime virtuosity.
it’s jimi hendrix. it’s good.
I grew up with this album. My dad had it on cassette and I first heard it in the car to and from preschool. It’s always existed to me the way grass and trees have always existed. I’ve loved it the whole time. That being said there are moments that don’t hit quite as hard these days and some that I’m fully not so into (Little Miss Lover is the only song I skip). Still my favorite Hendrix album and one of my favorite albums ever. It will always have a special place for me.
Such an upbeat mellow mood
As usual, Jimi Hendrix is amazing
While not being as strong as Hendrix and the Experience's other studio albums, this one still stands strong with powerful instrumentals, well done and thoughtful lyrics, and production that feels revolutionary even sixty years after the albums original release. An easy 4/5, only held back from a perfect score owing to the band's other works surpassing it.
I really enjoyed this. I knew a bunch of them, but overall it just felt a bit more interesting than I remember from their first album... And little wing is just glorious.
I haven't listened to Hendrix in a minute, forgot how much I love his voice. And obviously, he's a very skilled and interesting musician.
Honestly, this is pretty good! I like the funk, and skill is very on display here! Another short album, but that gives me more time to listen to other music!
Damn, this album is better than I remember. What a monumental talent. These songs are so damn strong, and the playing and production are out of this world. Did we need the Noel Redding song? No. But, this is so good. 8/10
Solid psych rock album with some swanky guitar.
an album cover getting designed without an artists approval is pretty whack. the soft landing with UP FROM THE SKIES was elcome, before we start thumpin on SPANISH CASTLE MAGIC YOU GOT ME FLOWIN bg vocals sound like the mothers groovy loose and jammy would scoop. 4
It hasn't been long since I listened to "Electric Ladyland," and this album isn't quite on the same level, but it's still pretty great. It's all the masterful guitar work you would expect from Hendrix, unfortunately the songwriting is a bit weaker. Fortunately, weaker here is still world-class. Unfortunately, this album is just edged out of the top rating for me. Favorite track: "One Rainy Wish"
I always forget that this album starts with a reference to UFOs. Now I was not alive when this album was released and I can also say that I was not even an glimmer in my dads eye cause he was not even in high school yet. Jimi Hendrix embodies the term 'the good die young', unlike Henry Kissinger, Hendrix checked out at only 27 oddly the same age as another left handed guitar player from Washington state and the Seattle region Kurt Cobain. My favorite song on here is actually the one sung by Noel Redding, but I think that could easily be switched with Castles Made of Sand.
Pretty good guitarist, this fella
Great!
This was pretty great. Being an avid subscriber of multiple guitar magazines in the early 90s, the specter of Jimi Hendrix was unavoidable, and rightly so. Very much a one of a kind and rightly holds the mantle of GOAT guitar hero. Can't help but wonder what strange and mysterious music he would have created if he stayed off the drugs. Had never listened to this entire album, and some stuff on here I'd never heard. Sounds decidedly less cheesy and dated than other late 60s rock albums that pop up on here, e.g. Jefferson Airplane. All that said, not all of it really translates to me in 2025 and some falls flat, but I'm the problem, not Jimi.
☆4.3 超絶ギターアルバム。今聴いても音像が新しい。 真似できるアーティストは現代でも少ないのではないか? ハードからバラードまで多彩。
This is only the second Hendrix album I’ve stepped into on this 1001 journey, and yet again it feels like entering another dimension. His music is an atmosphere, a kaleidoscope of color that pours straight from the guitar - you almost see him painting the air with sound. There’s a dreamlike quality to it, but also a precision and clarity that makes every note feel alive. Each of the songs carry his boldness, but also an intimacy, as though the music is flowing directly from Hendrix’s soul. Bold as Love feels like his whole ethos…fearless, fluid, and deeply human. Standouts for me were You Got Me Floatin’, the delicate dreamscape of One Rainy Wish, and of course the kaleidoscopic sweep of Bold as Love. He certainly forms a trip that feels both cosmic and personal.
this was such a feel good album, I really enjoyed it
Jimi!!! Love this album
Epic
I always thought Jimi Hendrix was just a rock god. I didn’t realize he was also a blues god. I really dug this album.
This had a lot of depth. Funky, groovy, gave those classic 70s game show music vibes. I felt like I was watching Match Game in the best way
How could one not like Jimi! This album showed more depth and maturity than his debut. Was fun to listen to this one end to end.
é bem bom
pô acho que eu gostei mais desse que o are you experienced achei mais psicodélico, mais experimental até. bacana demais lindas guitarradas
It’s Jimi…would have gone 5 but I know he can do even better
Hard to rate this fairly because he’s been copied so much and he’s so highly rated. Whilst such a good guitarist, his songwriting isn’t quite as good. That said Castles Made of Sand was stunning. 4 is fair
4/5
Pas mal bon. Un peu blues, un tout petit peu de jazz, beaucoup de bons riffs.
In all honesty, this is my least favourite studio album from Hendix. That said. it's still damn solid. Lacking the signature song but this is still a must listen for anyone wanting to explore the genius that is Hendrix.
molto bello...RUOOOOCK
Not Hendrix’s best imo but still a great listen
Holy hell, amazing instrumental work.
To me, Axis: Bold As Love is for the weakest album from Hendrix. It doesn’t really have the same pizazz that his other records have for me. I think it has some weak songs and moments, and I thought the lyricism could’ve been better. But then again, this is by no means a bad album. Hendrix is epic on guitar as is to be expected with killer riffs and melodies with songs like Spanish Castle Magic, which is heavy and psychedelic. The iconic Little Wing, while relaxed, short and sweet, I wish was a bit longer. That’s just a me problem though. Both of these songs how well Hendrix can set an atmosphere. There’s still good tracks to be found on this album despite the faults I have with it. Even if I prefer Electric Ladyland, Axis: Bold as Love is still a nice album. It proves to me that Hendrix was a king of psychedelic rock and a god at the guitar. Rest in peace Hendrix. ✌️
Butterflies And Zebras And Moonbeams 1001 Albums Generator 78 (07/21/2025) Jimi Hendrix needs no introduction. As perhaps the most iconic guitarist of the 1960's (if not of all time), it is surprising that during his life, he released only 3 albums, all with his trio, The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The second of these albums is the most surreal, Axis: Bold As Love. From just looking at the cover, which is quite a strong departure from the simple portrait of the band that donned their debut Are You Experienced (and was created without Hendrix's permission), it is clear that this album is going to be strange. And the first "song", Exp, which mimics a radio interview with a "peculiar looking gentleman" who non-convincingly argues against the existence of UFOs before being taken by one (?), also features extremely noisy and dissonant guitar feedback for like a full minute. Welcome to Axis: Bold As Love. Now, luckily this album does not stay this weird. In fact, I actually think that in a lot of ways, this album is more accessible than the band's debut. Jimi's guitar work is much cleaner and more jazzy, especially on songs like Little Wing and Castles Made Of Sand, which ended up being the two most famous songs off of Bold As Love. The intro to Little Wing especially may be the best piece of songwriting that Jimi Hendrix every did. The glockenspiel is also a beautiful touch. Castles Made Of Sand is an autobiographical song about Jimi's childhood that is full of reversed guitar parts. The drums and bass cut out during the beginning of each chorus, which give focus to Jimi's vocals. Up From The Skies is also a chill piece and is a very different style than a lot of what Hendrix had done before. Mitch Mitchell's drums are extremely jazzy and Jimi's guitar is drenched in a constant wah-wah sound. Spanish Castle Magic feels like metal before metal. The guitar and drums are especially crushing and the chromatic walk down riff during the verses is really heavy. If 6 Was 9 (someone doesn't know his subjunctive conjugations) is split into two distinct sections. The first is built on a relatively simple but effective blues-y riff, which transitions into a guitar solo before falling into a more free form jam with spoken vocals. Finally, the band explodes into another jam that fades out. Bold As Love starts with a riff that really reminds me of RHCP (positive) and features a relatively straightforward jam from the boys, but it is some of the finest work here honestly. I really like the flanging on the drums. Not everything here is great though. Wait Until Tomorrow has great instrumentals, but the backing vocals are annoying and childish. Actually, this is a similar issue I have with You Got Me Floatin'. Songs like She's So Fine and Little Miss Lover fail to stand out in any real way and bring the quality of the album down a bit. Overall, Axis: Bold As Love is probably my least favorite of the 3 albums by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, but it is still great. Some of Jimi's best and most restrained songwriting appears here, but some forgettable songs keep it from being as good as his best albums. 4/5. Favs: Little Wing Spanish Castle Magic Castles Made Of Sand Least Fav: Exp
I want someone to figure out the ratio of Time Jimi is High on Acid : Time Jimi is not High on Acid I feel like it would be an interesting number
Enjoyed this much more than electric lady land. It felt more cohesive, the production is awesome. The drums are fat and warm and the guitar tones are amazing. This demands more listening
Very enjoyable. Highlight was Spanish Castle Magic
Solid first half and a example of why Jimi Hendrix remains talked about to this day. Of course, this album does not go without the efforts of his bandmates
A genius. Altough I think some of his best songs might not be in this album
I must caveat and say this is more of a 3.5 star outing as it perhaps didn’t grab me as much as I expected, though I did enjoy it on the whole. I feel like there must be other Hendrix records where I’d get on better with maybe just down to the famous tracks but this was good enough to revisit, I just don’t know when. The vocals at times were softer than I expected, and I quite liked that about it.
I’ve been left relatively disappointed by the Hendrix albums in this project so far, but something stood out about this one. It contained mostly unfamiliar songs, but it had a markedly more mature sound and superior sonic production to Are You Experienced, while being less obnoxious & in-your-face than Electric Ladyland. It’s the only of his three albums so far that I would happily listen to a second time. A high 3 for this decent output, rounded up to a 4.
Maybe it was just the songs in this selection, but Mr Hendrix is an amazing guitarist but not as much a singer. The things he does to a guitar are magical, with a transportive quality.
pretty solid, love the instrumentals
- The panning on this album is nuts for '67 - This goes without saying but the guitar playing is nuts - The songs are all so short which is weird to me. I feel like they all felt like they ended too fast - I love all the weird psychedelic guitar noises he makes during the psych parts
Really nice. I don't know who would be happy or offended, but some progressions/grooves reminded me of RHCP.
Better than coldplay
I simultaneously wonder what’s so special about this music and thoroughly enjoy it, quite extraordinary
Jimi Hendrix: Axis: Bold As Love: Really damn good. The guitar work is intricate, and the songs are incredibly varied and interesting. His vocals are also fantastic. I can see why Hendrix is so well regarded, this was a really enjoyable listen. Some of the weird parts are a little too abstract or go on too long, but that's really my only complaint. 9/10
It's crazy how little it took of the most low grade weed for people to have their mind blown to music like this 60 years ago and now everyone needs to be basically brain dead just to go to the grocery store
Really good album, but not quite great. There are some great tracks but overall it’s a little too uneven for a full complement of stars. Obviously the guitar playing is superb - Hendrix just has so much feel and is so comfortable with the instrument it barely seems like he is playing, it’s more like it’s just coming out of him - but what I think is sometimes overlooked is how great a singer he was as well. If this was a little more consistent in quality, and if we had a little more of the outtro to Little Wing, this would have been 5. As it is it’s a really strong 4.
JIMIIIIIIIIIIII what a voice. This sounds like something made 10 years after it was released
Good
Idk what Jimi on that covers fire
Pretty good listen
I liked this album, but not as much as the debut. An artist way ahead of his time for sure and lots of innovation here. My favorite cut is obviously “Little Wing”. Solid album, giving it the round up cuz it’s Jimi. 3.5/5
Impressive that this album was released just seven months after their debut. While more expansive in sound and songwriting, some of the production techniques are overused and therefore distracting at times. Way too much panning. But, it makes sense given the times when the studio was becoming an instrument itself and multi-tracking was a whole new world. Still a solid listen overall.
I’m game to let Jimi take over, but this one was just a touch lacking at times. A couple of his greats on here, for sure. But some underwhelming tracks too. Still really solid
Jimi gonna Jimi but this got a lil too psychedelic for me and didn’t have quite as many hits as Are You Experienced. But Little Wing alone is worth the cost of admissions. Castles too.
passionate and surprisingly heavy. oozes cool. that noel guy stinks up yet another great jimmi record - who keeps letting him do this?? highs: all of it lows: the noel one
Pretty good! not too Hippy or psychodelic which was nice
Liked the album, has lots of distortion, very energetic
I didn't get the distortion at first but I did like vibe, guitar, base, and lyrics.
Can always listen to the guitar god Jimi. Little Wing, Castles Made of Sand, and Bold as Love are all certified bangers. The rest is all great too
I did know few songs from this album, but I'm not sure I have ever listened to it so far. This is a good album -- excellent for anyone who is not Hendrix -- but maybe a bit weaker than his other records? It sounded a bit more experimental, maybe a transition album between other works.
Fantastic album, would give it 4.5 stars if possible. Not quite my favourite JHE album, but solid all around.
Loved!
No notes.
Love Hendrix. This album has some absolute bangers, but also some experimental tracks. I’m rating 4, but it’s probably more like 4.5.
Rock God. Loved this album! 4.5/5
Standout Songs: Spanish Castle Magic Wait Until Tomorrow You Got Me Floatin' One Rainy Wish Little Miss Lover A great album to get stoned and zone out to. Nearly 40 minutes of Jimi’s sweet guitar filling my ears. A lot of interesting sounds used throughout, especially the ending of ‘If 6 Was 9’.
Great listen, like the debut better but it was cool to discover more jimi hendrix because I did not know any songs from this album beforehand
Lekker oude rock
jimi hendrix - einzigartiger sound, gequälte gitarre und sonore stimme. mir gefällt Little Wings sehr gut, einiges ist jimi und damit: einzigartig!
A couple of my favorites: Little Wing and Castles Made of Sand.
lowkey might be my fav jimi album. so bizarre this some real psych shit
Not his best album, but great, nonetheless. A classic.
Pure Hendrix .Lyrics a bit dodgy on some...but the guitar
It’s ok but too much talking and noise
If you’re a millennial like me, understanding the impact of Axis on modern music is hard to put into context. There are guitar sounds on this album which had never been heard before and would never be mastered so expertly again. Jimi’s manipulation of the instrument sent a shockwave through the musical universe, and things were never the same again. Does that mean this album is perfect? Not exactly. It doesn’t surpass the cohesiveness or consistency of several albums during the same era, but it’s pretty damn close. Also, Jimi’s lyrical content is a little too abstract on this album. It’s hard for me to create a bond with an album when half the lyrics are an indecipherable psychedelic mess.
I've listened to the hits of this album many times, but never the whole thing. I liked hearing Jimi's deeper cuts - an interesting mix of genres with more jazz influence than I expected.
Idk what Jimi’s on, this album artwork is peak.
EXP: I did not enjoy how this ran circles around my head Wait until tomorrow: cool groove Overall enjoyable, but Jimi is not always my thing 4*
What more can I say about Jimi Hendrix! The legendary guitar sound accompanied by a great band. Experimenting with various sound effects that outline the time of psychedelia. My only complaint is perhaps the recording quality and the fact that some songs end with a fadeout, but how can you stop a band like that when they start their instrumental adventure!? Excellent.
Once again I am made to question how I feel about my heroes. I basically have the same feelings about Axis as I did Electric Ladyland. A few songs are some of my favorites ever recorded, and most are pretty good. Little Wing is one of my few true 10 out of 10 songs. Castles Made of Sand, If 6 was 9 and One Rainy Wish and Bold As Love are all S tier. She's So Fine should have been sung by Jimmy. Why'd someone else sing that? Album Cover: (A+) Look at all them snakes.
never heard before but really good
This early on and I've already gotten all three Hendrix albums. I remember thinking this was the weakest of the three, and I still feel that way, but this is still a quality album. Favorite track: Little Wing 3.5/5
Groovy and catchy as ever.
This was a pleasant surprise to me - not because I don't like Hendrix, but because I didn't expect the songs so be so approachable and catchy. I dig it!
Not really my style to start with but I had fun with this one! It sounds very experimental with great vibes
I listened to this album several times, and I find it hard to come out with a review that is not just 'sounds great' or 'they play very good' or even 'full of nice grooves', but I think I'll have to leave it at that. It is great. Nothing more to add, really.
Unikaalne kitarrimaailm. Minu jaoks langeb ikkagi dad rock kategooriasse, sest seostan seda muusikat oma isaga. Selline muusika, mille saatel tahaks 70ndates live-kontserdil õõtsuda, aga sobib ka päikselisse pühapäeva.
That guitar is so good!
Great songwriter, turmoil in his personal life adds more depth to the material, not always in a good way. The songs are clear slices of everyone’s life, but as a full statement there is too much.
Also kann nachvollziehen warum der Typ ne Legende ist, für die damalige Zeit sicher verrückter Sound und Arrangements. Mir gefiel es!
I had a lot of exposure to Hendrix as a kid and never really bit in. Dad was right, it's pretty good.
It's not my favorite sort of album to listen to, but it's pretty unbelievable in terms of the sounds and production work. Jimi with the guitar is pure magic. I've always said that his voice is one of the things that holds him back a bit, but I enjoyed it a lot more in the context of listening to a full album. His songwriting not being off the charts is what holds it back from a 5 though, still just excellent musicianship.
Jimi continues to rip. Favorite track: Little Wing
Unarguable that this album be on this list. Not a go too for me but I can appreciate the influence and still have fun listening to it.
I really enjoyed this, I never listened to Jimi before this and didn't know what to expect but it makes sense why his music is paired with trippy and stoner iconography. Sounds that are spacious mixed with hard rock elements gave a interesting listen
Psychedelic rock is not in my wheelhouse but this album was damn good. Not because it’s Jimi, which he’s incredible, but because of the effects that I heard from the various tracks - it felt very much ahead of its time. Favorite Track: Little Wing
Solid as hell, of course. Some deeper cuts i hadnt heard
If the core is Hendrix's recording career spans about two years then album 2 of 3 can serve as a transitional album. Sonically rich This eclectic collection lacks the urgency of the first album but you can hear the tricks he has picked up and twisted from Dylan and the Beatles. Excellent production and musicianship shine even if the highest highs are not to the heights of the albums it sits between. Still great but JH has a high bar.
My favorite Hendrix record. Production feels a little dated at this point, but the songs are so good
thoroughly enjoying this whole thing, i love jimi hendrix so like this isn’t hard, what a psychedelically intelligent man. little wing and if 6 was 9 are the sexiest songs ever wtf, john mayers cover of bold as love does it so much justice omg i love this album
I enjoyed this. I've never really listened to Hendrix much but I probably should.
Really liked this one, first time hearing it (other than Little Wing) and came away feeling very positive about it both individually and as a big piece - I think the opener ties things together thematically and it's both very listenable and challenging in places.
I've come to accept over time that Jimi Hendrix is not really my thing. Like I'm not gonna turn this on for funsies. But you gotta respect the shred. I can't give this less than 4 stars but I will definitely not turn it on again.
Excellent
I have never listened to a Jimi Hendrix album in full before, which is exactly the reason I started this challenge - there is so much more to discover. What a fantastic intro. This is without doubt a great album, but the artwork is even more dear to me.
Tulipahan nostalginen olo. Kyseinen platta ekojen Cd- levyjen joukossa jotka aikoinaan hankin. Sillon tuli huudatettua kyllä mut nyt varmaan ekaa kertaa 20 vuoteen kuulolla. Little Wing on törkeen hyvä biisi, loppuu vaan kesken. No nimensä mukaan Little....
I never bothered to listing to Jimi Hendrix. I thought I wouldn't like it. I was wrong. Favorites: Spanish Castle Magic, Wait Until Tomorrow, Little Wing, Castles Made of Sand
Best Hendrix album, but none of his albums FULLY connect with me.
Some of the finest Hendrix work in this album, however it doesn't keep the quality in some tracks. Bold as Love''s outro you are leaving/entering a new planet and EXP is the aftermath of the success by the earthlings?
My personal favorite Hendrix record, even if it's not his best. I love his spirit here. There's an unbridled sense of discovery on this one that I just identify with. Most of my favorite Hendrix riffs are here, and I adore the 8-string bass usage throughout on certain tracks. Dig it. 9/10
8/10 Sandwiched between two of the best Rock records it unfortunately doesn’t get a ton of light in conversation, but it undeniably is a kick ass record with a lot of Hendrix’s best work. That’s the wrong India guys!!!!!
What do you know, another great album! I enjoyed listening to this one I can tell Hendrix had a lot of talent, it’s a shame his career ended so early. I almost gave this one a 5 but I know he will have more albums here and I want to save that spot for another one. One last thing, look into the reasoning behind the album cover, it’s kinda funny Favorite Tracks: If 6 Was 9, Little Wing, Wait Until Tommorow, and You Got Me Floatin.
Not as good as are you experienced or electric lady land but solid
Classic Hendrix!
thinking about the time i was so into jimi Hendrix..... crazy little wing is the supposed standout of this album but it didn't standout to me if 6 was 9 tho? love a heavy bass what can i say 🏰 made of 🏖️ 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ 3.5 rounded up
Fijne muziek
This is Jimi. What makes him a legend is how he uses the guitar to speak to the audience. Little Wing is guitar perfection, even though I prefer the much longer instrumental take Stevie Ray Vaughn did back in the day. While this album is great, I could have done without that annoying screeching intro track. I guess I should have expected that from a psychedelic rocker like Jimi. It was borderline a 5 star album, but for that reason alone I'm dropping it down. ~ 4 Stars
The guitar tones, style, and even recording mix are WAYYY ahead of its time here for 1967. For that, this album gains major props. This is a really enjoyable psychedelic album, but is just not my favorite. I feel like it is very anti- what I should be saying as a guitarist, but there are so many other guitar players I'd rather listen to. The album is still GREAT, but I just needed to make that comment. The improvisation on this album is awesome. HOWEVER, what the fuck was the point of "Exp"... Liked Songs: "Spanish Castle Magic" , "Wait Until Tomorrow" , "Ain't No Telling" , "Little Wing" (This is an absolute CLASSIC) , "You Got Me Floatin' " , "Castles Made of Sand" , "She's So Fine" , "One Rainy Wish" , "Bold as Love"
liked songs: Spanish Castle Magic, Ain't No Telling, Little Wing, She's So Fine, Bold As Love Very good 3.75
Jimi gets it. His studio albums ate always such an experience.
Wait til tomorrow is a jam! Hadn't heard it before, but I knew Castles Made of Sand and Little Wing. There's some weird ones on here but it's Hendrix! It's the late 60s! It's expected to be psychedelic.
good album, though definitely a stranger and more experimental offering than his more straightforward rock albums. there are some absolutely incredible songs with beautiful lyrical poetry on here but there's also a lot of stuff that just doesn't hook me at all. lotta castles though. favorites: spanish castle magic, little wing, if 6 was 9, castles made of sand, bold as love
Killer album. Standouts are Spanish Castle Magic, Little Wing, If 6 was 9, Castles Made of Sand, and Bold As Love -- all of which are s-tier rock songs.
ganz nett
This album is excellent. All of the tracks, except EXP are great, but the diamonds here are: Spanish Magic Castle, Little Wing, If 6 was 9 and Castles Made of Sand. The cover art is also wicked. 1001 album worthy: Yes - 76/139
I like the album cover, this song gives me summer vibes so i like it. I rate this album a 8/10. Id reccomend lisenting to this with someone else.
i like the song becus of the beat and how he sounds . i like this song to but i dont like what he is saying. i recommend this album .
This is, unquestionably, the worst of the Jimi Hendrix Experience's three studio records, in the same way that, I don't know, John Lennon was the worst songwriter in the Lennon-McCartney partnership? It's a brilliant album, one that runs laps around its contemporaries — it's staggering to contrast this to The Doors records on this list, which are contemporaneous in release date only. If 6 Was 9 is so far ahead of anything Morrison could have dreamed. I was thinking about Hendrix, guitar aflame, during that beautiful, pivotal scene in Sinners: to be possessed by talent in such a way that can flatten time.
this guy can play the guitar a bit
Yeah it's good. You've probably heard a lot of these songs quite a few times. Radio, movie soundtracks, tv shows, cover versions at concerts. I just think I'm old enough to have grown a little tired of a lot of this album. It's good, but I'm not excited anymore. It's not you, Jimi. It's me. We've grown apart. I'll always have some fond memories, but I've gotta move on. Still, we had some good times. Three stars. ...Little Wing though. And Castles Made of Sand. One last star. You get a four.
Clearly stereo was fun and new with this recording as the engineer sweep-pans the instruments back and forth throughout the first track. That fun trick aside, Hendrix was a phenomenal guitarist and his talent is on full display here.
If 6 was 9 is my favourite Hendrix track, and I was expecting the album to follow that pattern but it's actually less psychedelic then I thought it would be (apart from the first track which is audio madness)
Smooth!!
A innovator of the electric guitar sound, Hendrix knock out some great tunes. Perhaps not his best album but still littered with ground breaking sounds
It might be that the majority of my music listening journey has been in an era where overproduced music has become the norm, and the production behind this perticular project isn't anything out of the norn from its own time period, but the "querky" and "under production" seems to be the most shining part of this project so far, obviously I am not taking away from any of the masterful guitar and drum performances which are blowing such life into each song, making them unique and lively. The movement from one song to another feels dynamic and "evolving" This being my first listen to any work from Hendrix, makes it a high standard which my mind has now barred for his other projects to live upto. Vocals like the production feels not overly corrected and has a sense of being performed in person. A final rating completely based on my current music taste :- 7.5/10 - 15th April 2025.
Jimi's confidence and freedom to explore and push boundaries is a delight to hear. This is just organic, beautiful music by a true master. As always, his rhythm section is just fantastic as well.
Liked this
Axis: Bold As Love was definitely a really good album. Since Jimi Hendrix mainly does psych-rock, the songs here all have that psych-rock vibe to them. It is, of course, a style i do have a soft spot for especially when it is combined with hard rock. This album is very trippy as you would expect from a psych-rock album but also is very groovy and pretty easy to get into. This album does take a while to get going but when it does, it really does. I also like this album more than Electric Ladyland since it is just far more accessible than that album ever was even with this one's quirks. This album is certainly a great one that i absolutely think deserves a spot on this list. Best Song: Little Wing Worst Song: Exp
actually really liked; good songs, good dishwashing vibe
Awesome start to a cool idea. Very nice production and playong.
Little Wing is one of the best ever. Spanish Castle Magic is also excellent. I want to listen to this more, it's mellower on the whole than I remember.
interesting, very familiar sounds even though I've never listened to Jimi Hendrix before....
Been a freak about this album since I was in high school. Was my introduction to Hendrix and was a major factor in coloring the sound of summers at the river with my friends. Almost experimental in sound and filled with bright and beautiful tones. Hendrix, Redding, and Mitchell gotta be all timer trio for me. Fav track: Little Wing
It's very far away, it takes about a day to get there, if you travel by...dragonfly. I imagine some boomer listening to the UFO flying around his brain and being blown away. Fun album, some real gems, love the Brit influence coupled with Jimi's sound. All in all a solid album which I've enjoyed many many times start to finish over the years.
Epic guitar masterpiece.
Jimi, oh Jimi. One of the best, if not the best, guitarists in our history. This record is another testament to that as it carries the listener through its psychedelic journey. It's a beautifully sequenced album that carries many emotions with it. Really enjoy this one.
Experimental and funky as hell, some standouts and a couple not quite as memorable. Overall a great example of Jimi’s supreme creativity
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Favorite Track: Castles Made of Sand
Funny. I thought I had heard everything by Jimi Hendrix at this point in my life. Apparently I had never heard this album in its entirety, just the hits like Little Wing. Anyway, fantastic as always. Jimi was a master. There are a couple filler type songs, but overall great. 4/5 Album 15/1001
I didn't like this quite as much as "Are You Experienced" but its still really good and the titular track is an all-timer
Jimi is usually a good time. I enjoyed this. Before, I had only listened to Are You Experienced, and this was a good follow up album. Man the production team really loves playing with the stereo effects. Lots of panning between left and right channels.
Not bad. Great songs and average ones
it’s good, I baked some banana bread in my pajamas on a sunday while listening. Vibes? Immaculate. That said, Hendrix has never been 100% my style
I've said it once and I'll say it again: being high is a state of mind. Never once have I taken a sip of alcohol nor shoved a needle into my arm. I don't need to after listening to this album. Jimi Hendrix's "Axis: Bold As Love" makes you experience all the joys of the 60s: drugs, sex, and sweet, sweet alcohol. I spent the entirety of my musical journey dancing in the shower and seeing floaty shit in my room. This album has it all. Thank you, Jimi.
nice enough, don't really have an opinion
Think I still prefer the other jimi Hendrix experience releases, but still it's Hendrix the guitar playing is still phenomenal. One Rainy Wish and Little miss lover are highlights aside from the obvious hits 4*
I had never heard any of these songs before! What a treat.
Listened to the album twice and it gets better. It's also the first on my list and I'm happy that I got something that sets the vibe for the next albums I'm about to discover.
Another Hendrix - started weird but got into the groove.
I’ve never really been a Hendrix guy but I really enjoyed this one and actually liked it better than “are you experienced?”. The production is way better and I like Jimi’s more restrained guitar
4.4 Only real critique is maybe its missing an iconic rock (or blues or R&B or whatever) anthem as from what you would find in the other Experience albums
Axis: Bold As Love sees Jimi Hendrix refining his sound, stepping back from the sheer explosiveness of his debut and leaning into more intricate textures and emotional depth. While it doesn’t have the instant impact of Are You Experienced or the grandeur of Electric Ladyland, this album stands out for its cohesion and refined songwriting. Tracks like Little Wing and Castles Made of Sand showcase Hendrix's ability to create delicate, emotionally resonant music, while the band’s dynamic interplay—highlighted by Mitch Mitchell's jazzy drumming and Noel Redding's steady bass—adds depth to the record. Musically, Hendrix pushes the boundaries of rock guitar with phasing effects, melodic leads, and creative studio tricks, particularly in tracks like Castles Made of Sand. However, the album’s final stretch loses a bit of momentum, with some tracks feeling like afterthoughts. Still, Axis rewards deep listening, revealing an artist maturing beyond his guitar hero persona into a multifaceted musician capable of emotional expression and sonic innovation.
Hendrix does what he does best
Some great stuff on here. Will listen again.
Never heard a full Jimi album but this didn’t disappoint! A lot stranger and full of consistent deep cuts than expected, and great enough to prompt me to check out the other JHE albums. Nobody could wield a guitar quite the way Jimi did!
Great musicianship on display. A funky trip through time with lyrics that transcend generations. Some of it becomes a bit repetitive, but isn't really a bad thing with the stellar guitar work of Jimi.
Reminds me of smoking all of the drugs in Tallahassee. Also a very cool record.
JIMI! Love this guy. In my opinion, everything he touches turns to gold. He can do no wrong in my eyes, except letting Noel sing lead on a song. Why do that? Anyway, Jimi is great and so is every song on this album with no exceptions. Banger on banger. “EXP” is a bit long for an intro, but also funny so I give it a pass. All love. 4/5
Jimi Hendrix’s music is definitely the complete package. Every element stands strong on its own but also works together perfectly. I love the raw, dirty, and gritty feel that runs through his music. The drumming brings a lot of complexity with its clear jazz influences. The bass stays steadily in motion, holding everything together as Hendrix’s reverb-heavy, fuzzy, feedback-laden guitar tears it up. The blues influences in his riffs really add that extra layer of grit.
Love Hendrix, not one I've listened to though
Never listened to Hendrix before, this album pleasantly surprised me. Felt like a whole ride.
I really like the kind of psychedelic rock that Jimi Hendrix sings, my personal problem with it is that it's not too easy to consume, and even though I like it, I don't listen to it all that much. Bold As Love is pretty nice, but I feel like the majority of album lacks direction maybe a bit too much. Very strong 4, but would be a weak 5 for me.
Great album, as usual from Jimi. It's way ahead of it's time, both musically and lyrically. Jimi had a way of expressing himself clearly and simply, but at the same time virtuously. The riffs are out of this world and the lyrics are profound, they speak of a buddhist like view of life. Where everything flows, is one and love is the answer. This is also evident on the album cover. Not Jimi's best, but still a phenomenal album with a lot of great songs, which speaks volumes about his artistic body of work.
Jimi!
Well, this is a great album but I think it's possibly bettered by both its predecessor "Are You Experienced" and by the following album "Electric Ladyland". I can see why Hendrix disliked the sleeve. He also objected to the Electric Ladyland sleeve (the one with all the naked women on).
The thing about any artist as era defining and history defining as Jimi Hendrix is that when you listen to that kinda artist, so far removed from the era of their time, there is an objectiveness to the quality of their music. Yet their music remains subjective. And so as a fan of music, I feel a little slighted by myself for not resonating with an artist as revered as Jimi Hendrix as that objective qualityness might make me want to. Still there are pockets on this album that I find very interesting and worth listening to again if it played and I wasn't in a skipping mood.
My favorite Experience album, slightly edging out Electric Ladyland. This really changed rock music in its day.
Love Hendrix, really like this album even if it's lacking many of his more iconic tracks.
Liked it more than i thought i will
Gran album para 1967. Algunas canciones son geniales y todo el disco es innovador.
not as strong as his other two albums, but this is still a classic and shouldnt go unnoticed. as always great guitar work throughout
This is probably the first time Jimi has clicked with me. I’ve never been a hug fan if when virtuoso guitarist just “play really well”, especially as someone that doesn’t play guitar. It’s just a part of his music that I’ve never quite been able to get over, songs with multiple, long solos that are probably impressive to those that have picked up a guitar and tried to learn more than Smoke on the water. On Bold as Love, I feel like the grooves and riffs are more focused than my other attempts to “get into” Jimi. There are moments that I feel drag, but I find these songs to be much more interesting as a result.
This is another one where I knew the hits but had never listened to the album. It has two of my favorite Hendrix songs, Little Wing and Bold as Love. Strong solid album. Don’t understand the opening track. Didn’t like it. Outside of the opener I enjoyed all but two of the other tracks. However, the good outweighs the not as good here and I would still give this a 4.
The guitar playing and drumming put in so much work, it's like a secret sauce in Jimi's music. This one was a little sporadic in quality, but still plenty of jams.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 7/10 Great album, nothing really stands out so it becomes a bit of a background album. However, 'Bold as Love', I didnt know John Mayer covered rather than wrote this song. Great surprise
8.5/10 - delightful
Un poil perché comme le suggère la couverture, mais quand même des bons petits riffs reconnaissables entre mille.
Very experimental and innovative for its time, lots of phaser/flanger effects, the bass and drums are great, love that sixties production. All round great record with a mix of blues and psychedelic songs
some classic hendrix psych. it’s probably not better than ladyland but i think it’s an easier album to just chill and listen to
love this one
He's always good
Pretty groovy man
Stuffers in comparison to the other two JH studio albums and doesn’t quite have the same historic impact.
Adore jimi hendrix. Classic album
Oh i know Jimi. I love me some Jimi, I truly don't listen to Jimi enough though. Can't really go wrong with Jimi. I do think another one of his albums is better than this.
It’s Jimi Hendrix.
it's hendrix!
It’s Jimi Hendrix - enough said.
I liked it, the vocals were good.
Hard to really get a sense bc Apple Music kept putting it on shuffle and it’s definitely An Album. Different from other Jimi albums with which I’m more familiar in that it seemed to have a stronger connection to a funk/soul vibe as opposed to the solid blues roots of the Hendrix I expect (tho maybe I just listened to the same song over and over? Hard to say.) Regardless, the same intangible magical ability to turn every riff into something transcendent that comes with everything he does.
4*
Some classics on this record but outside of those, only a couple more interesting tunes.
A god to guitar fans around the world, it’s surprise that Jimi Hendrix is someone I don’t really listen to much. This album was a lot of fun, Jimi was great on it and that meant his guitar playing was brilliant. Great album!
Great album, better than I thought it’ll be
Timeless
4 stars easy
Awesome
Great album, great sound. Widely imitated but no one can do it like them. Sadly the imitators dilute the effect but when you consider the context of the era. Groundbreaking music and coolness factor off the charts.
Are you experienced gets all the love, but Little Wing is a killer song.
Not stero, a little trippy. Different structure, shorter than AABA. Instruments generally more prominent/featured than vocals. Like the energy of Spanish Castle Magic, noticed a lot of syncopation under guitar. Little Wing, ex, meanders its way to a "chorus" and ends. Interesting subject of If 6 was 9, wtf is the outro flute thing. Enjoy Castles Made of Sand, probably has the most structure. Like the chill beat of One Rainy Wish, interesting modulation in riff. Effect on vocals in Little Miss Lover; emphasis is clearly directed toward instrumental. Bold As Love tempo is kinda stoned, second half solo builds off; could probably go for a while.
