The alt pop rock stuff from this time has aged much better than the nu metal has
what else would I give this

All Ratings
Kinda cool, but can't get into it
Before this I only knew Tennessee. The whole album was great and made me feel great.
In a word of Steel Panther, they are meh
Amazing
Great live album.
meh
it was ok. all the songs kinda sound the same.
I was in college when this came out and I knew a lot of people who loved it, including my roommate. I did not. My musical tastes have evolved over the years and was kind of excited to listen to it with fresh ears. I still did not like it. Fun fact, I saw her and her harp perform when she played at my college. She showed up over an hour late because she was having such a wonderful time at dinner she lost track of the time.
This is good background music Tom Waits than active listening Tom Waits. Big fan of a lot of his albums, never really listen to this one.
Some classics. Some new wave garbage
Very much of its time and also timeless. This might be the best album that came out of the post 9/11 world.
Nice background music.
I have never heard of these guys before and though the album was great.
It was decent, but I feel like I have listened to different versions of the same album a dozen times before
Have never heard this before. Listened to it and then listened to it again.
An enjoyable listen. Very Oasis sounding. Not sure who developed the sound first or if it that they came out of the same music scene.
I didn't even know dessert blues was a thing. It was so different I don't know if it was brilliant or not. But I thought it entertaining
This album rocks
Funky AF
A few good parts mixed in but mostly noisy garbage. The good parts I would give a 4 star to, the bad parts negative stars.
Interesting. I have never listened to it. It seems a lot more blues oriented that from Paranoid onward.
If I was 20 in the late 90s, I probably would have loved this album. Now it is ok.
I liked it.
Not sure if was my mindset what I listened to it, but this was awesome.
Teenage me liked this album a lot more than middle aged me
Never heard of him before this. I enjoyed every second of this album. I wouldn't say it achieved greatness but it was very pleasant.
My favorite Bowie Album
Some songs great. Some songs not so great
Meh, I can see how it is classic, but I thought it was alright.
Never heard of her before. This album hit me in the right way at the right time.
Man, Mustaine really likes guitar riffs
eh
Boring and repetitive. Almost quit right away
Pretty dang funky
I can't believe there are people out there going about with their lives and not listening to Rusty in Peace.
Prettty badass
A perfectly decent album nothing about it screams "this is amazing"
This sounds like being cool in the late 90s.
I really enjoyed it
Holy shit this album is great
Great album
I don't know how I feel. Was it brilliant? Was it terrible? was it both?
This album is Gold!
This albums rocks.
I don't think I like The Doors
great background music. thats about it
God Tier album
Relaxing but different feel that special
Amazing album. I've listened to it 100 times before and enjoy it everythime
Not sure if it my state of mind, but this album kicks butt
Honestly don't know if this that great or it just takes me back to a time when I thought this album was great
Classic before he went crazy
Albums that I am emotionally connected to are harder to judge. As a teen, I would say this is the greased album of all time. Now, I still think it is amazing, but unsure how much is it to that connection I had decades ago. I am going to give it 5 stars, but it is a hesitant rating.
Great at time. Decent at others. Never bad
meh
Lauren Hill-eque
Somethings are revolutionary at the time and then done way better by others afterwards
Clapton sucks personally, but this is great
Tom Waits at is Tom Waits-iness
A handful of amazing songs and some meh songs
Sounds like that early 2000s
Listening it to the first time in years. Honestly when of the greatest albums ever made and I am not that big of a punk fan.
Great few first songs and then blah.
Did not care for
I can see how this was big when it came out, but now it is meh
Sounds like the early 90s in the right ways
I listened to this as I did data analysis and time flew
Classic
Great. Not a Neil Young fan but I loved this album
This album always makes me feel warm inside
Great and funky
I have never heard of them before, but this was great
Metallica is so boring
I knew a few songs, but this album was great
Better than a lot of his stuff
This album was fun as heck
It's kinda boring
Dude can't sing, but he's great
Dude can't sing, but he's great
Never heard of them but loved it.
Honestly, if this doesn't deserve 5 stars, which album does?
Decent. The psychedelic and folk elements don't blend well at times.
I got this the day after Ozzy died. it was pretty great.
Great background music. Kept me driven while doing data analysis
Its fine.
Have you ever tasted flavor extract? It is really strong and tastes terrible. That is how I feel about this album. It is too industrial to the point it almost doesn't sound like anything. But there is a lot in there that would be awesome if incorporated into other songs, but to the extreme it is, is not good. It almost seems like an experiment of saying "hey look what is possible in music"
Pinnacle of 90s hip hop
Boring
Honestly I think this album suffers from its success. So many big songs that have been played to death over the years
Cute and fun album
It was alright. Enjoyed the soul parts more than the synth pop parts
One of the greatest concert albums ever.
Solid rock album
It is ok. But also gets compared to Thriller and Bad.
Sounds were too long but it was enjoyable
Moments of greatness but always interesting
I think I've heard better version of this.
Listening to this made me feel really good.
Is this one of the greatest albums ever? Yes Is it completely amazing? Yes Would I give it 5 stars is Shine down your Crazy diamonds were a few minutes shorter and there was another song on it? Yes
I don't get Metallica. All their songs sound the same and boring
I wonder if people in the 80's went "You know how in the last 20 years we had some of the best music of all time that kids even 50 years from now will like and listen to? Lets do the opposite of that!"
Great 90s Alternative album
Beach boys vibes but gets kinda weird. I liked it
Good album, but the Beatles have better
I never liked this album. It is an inferior version of At Folsom Prison
A few decent songs but most was not good. Britney has better albums
Weird and cool
Listening to this you realize why Van Halen was huge
Great early 2000s rock album
This was great. I have never listened to A Tribe Called Quest before any thought they were amazing. It was like a nerdy social commentary version of old school hip hop
I have a deep love for this album. It was probably the 50th time i have listened to it and enjoyed every second of it
enjoyably funky
This is the stretch of their discography that makes you realize why they are considered the greatest band of all time
it wasn't bad, but wasn't great
I love this album. Listening to it, there is some parts that could have been cut out, especially in the back half.
I really like this album. I have for a long time, but I do see its flaws.
I love this album. i listen to it probably once a month. Today was a great day
Nice and relaxing but also kind of boring and every song sounded the same. Decent background music
For better or worse, this sounds like the late 90s
I forgot I was listening to it at one point. Maybe if I am the right amount of drunk at 1am I would love it
Fun and Chill
Good Bowie but the GREAT Bowie
It was good but sounded like 100 other bands from the same time
It may have been the mood I was in, but I dug it
Never heard of them before but this was amazing
Holy shit this was great
Never heard of this, went in blind, and loved it
It's good. I wouldn't say its great
The more I listen to prog, the less I like it. Some of the songs made me physically revolt. I had to stop listening to the title track 15 minutes in because it was painful to listen to. Some of the shorter songs were ok.
Probably the best taylor swift album
I want to live in a world where this is the epidemy of cool.
Some great classics and some not so great, not so classic songs
I don't know. Was it great? no. Was there is interesting stuff going on? Kinda
What was intense. Fun at times, not so fun at others. 28 songs in 33 minutes, which most of them sound very similar.
Listening to they you can see how Taylor Swift became one of the largest popstars of all time.
I honestly went into this as a critical listener and not wanted to give it five stars, but I could not think of any reason why I would not. It does not get as much love as I or IV, but it is wall to wall amazing songs.
Decent background music
The alt pop rock stuff from this time has aged much better than the nu metal has
Highly enjoyable, but too many sketches and too long
Wow, that was something
its alright
Ah, 2007
Not as good as some of his earlier stuff but still a highly enjoyable album
No bad but pretty generic sounding
Great blue rock album from the early 70s
what else would I give this
I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It is a kick in the pants and doesn't let up. Glad it was only a half hour long. Don't think I would have enjoyed it much longer than I did.
nice but long and kind of boring
Some classics and some good songs I've never heard before
Did not like as much as their first album, but highly enjoyable. It seems as if they were going away from their earlier electronica sound and more towards folk rockl
Jeez. What was that? You can tell the guys thinking they are making high art
Funky but also some Jazz elements. not the best, but i enjoyed it
Honestly this was trash. There were moments of potential, but nothing ever came. I can almost always find something good in an album and give it at least 2 stars, but I could not.
Some sounds were good. Others made me want to punch him
The Kinks are really underrated
Three because I don't know what to give it.
A Kick in the pants!
Concrete Jungle was decent and funky. Everything else was a boring and I did not enjoy at all. The more I listen to Bob Marley, I more a hate his music
meh
Great Rock Album
It was a lovely listen
Some moments of greatness in there mixed with Monty Python-esque sketches. They should get rid of the lead singer and hire Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck. i think that would make a much better band
Quite enjoyable at time. Other times kind of boring, but never bad
They sound like they are trying to be both the Strokes and Tom Petty to varying results
Probably rate is 4.5/5 There were a few places that dragged a bit, but otherwise amazing and very emotional
Funky at times. But meh on the whole.
Way more enjoyable than Astral Weeks
Really good listen. Fun rocking album
I didn't like Rehab when it came out. Still didn't like it when I listened to it. The rest of the album is amazing
It did start growing on me as it went along and found myself tapping along to it
4 stars but I am pretty sure in a year I will have listened to it a dozen times and wish I gave it 5 stars
There were a few moments that were kinda great, so it is getting 2 stars, but I have never listened to an album that made me feel physically uncomfortable, like my skin was crawling and i had to repeatedly stop listening to it.
