I’ve had two Eagles albums and that’s two too many. It’s honestly fascinating to listen to a band try to be Steely Dan but have no musical talent, and then simultaneously try to be Crosby Stills Nash and Young without having a single decent singer in the entire group. The songwriting is terrible, the execution is worse, The Eagles’ success at anything resembling a recording career is absolutely baffling. This may be my least favorite band in music history.
