A great hip hop album. Production is clean. Great rapping, extremely underrated stuff.

Actually really liked this. Very great production and it's kind of chill. Overall just a very good listen.
Pretty cool kind of art rock, starts sounding the same after a little bit though
I just know this gave every classic rock elitist on this website a heart attack, the album itself is pretty cool, really crazy for 2003, gets a little repetitive though
Pretty fine. A lot of it is pretty boring but some songs really hit for me.
All Ratings
Already listened to this it's really good though
These riffs are fucking grating holy
Pretty average live rock though there are some bangers here
Radiohead is kindsa mid
Really nice sound just don't care about a couple songs
Kind fell off at side B some absolute classics are on here though
This funky as hell and so interesting love the atmosphere might even be better than future days
These beats are insane and they're actually pretty talented rappers but the production is so unique
Really chill summer type vibes I love it just a couple songs I don't care about
I love Bob Dylan and this is one of his best
Absolutely classic one of the best in hip hop only reason it's not a 5 star is it doesn't have the personal connection with me
Queen's best by far I love when they do hard rock stuff and Stone Cold Crazy is amazing
Eu amo Brasil but not the best tropicalia I've heard from here, still some great songs though
I didn't like Sweet Oblivion but I didn't mind this as much though a lot of it is the same
Honestly one of his best and Bowie is one of my favorite artists
I mean it's okay I guess
This pretty funky and there's some classics on here just a little too much of the same
There's some good songs here and there, Alison is an amazing song though
Kinda overrated it's more like a basic 60s pop album to me but I like a couple songs
I can name about 100 more essential albums that didn't make the list it's not terrible though
I've heard some good things about Wilco and this was a good introduction, some pretty good songs and also some very emotional parts, I'll check out their other stuff later on I didn't mind this. I really like the songs Kingpin and Monday
These beats are fucking great, Beastie Boys are really overlooked in rap but this is insanely ahead of it's time
Yeah this is an underrated gem. The Wu-Tang are my favorite rap group and I think 36 Chambers is my favorite rap album. Method Man's solo work is really great and the beats here are great. I love All I Need.
Not really my type of music but it is quite enjoyable, there's some good songs here like Big Iron
Yeah this is pretty interesting. Kind of electronic punk. There's some really cool songs here it just kinda sounds the same at parts
I used to be a massive Stones fan though this really isn't my favorite of theirs
It's pretty interesting. I like the Stones and Doors covers actually and the blend of rock is nice, I've only ever heard one other Indian album but this is solid
I like some of these songs though I feel like I heard this exact album a couple times before
Not the best Talking Heads Album I heard though I enjoy this quite a bit
Beck's best album. Amazing sampling, the tunes are great, outstanding alt rock album.
I wanted to like this more considering I'm a big idm fan but a lot of these songs are whatever, the last two were really great though
Pretty solid punk very samey though
Aretha Franklin is an amazing singer, and the instrumentation is great enough to where it keeps every song interesting
Listened to this album a while back, really import to metal in general, of course creating the name of black metal, the album is just fine though
Actually really loved this. Every song was great, really groovy, nothing to criticize.
Every other song was good, just pretty average folk rock for me
I've heard better stuff from Siouxsie pretty solid though
Yeah I really liked this of course it hasvthe classic Our House
Pretty average post punk to me though the title track is really great
Used to be a big black keys fan, this was my favorite for a while but honestly it fell off, for me, still some great songs
Really blew me away, most songs were great, the French version was better of course. The singing is great tbh I love thos record.
Not the biggest AC/DC fan this was fine though
First time hearing a Sade album and yeah this was really great, love her voice and the jazzy stuff is sick
I really wished I like this more but there was only a couple songs I liked
First two songs were really amazing, some pretty interesting celtic rock stuff on here
I liked about half of it got uninteresting at points but pretty fun
Really great, songwriting is amazing, you have callous and songs like the title track. He's a great guitarist as well.
It's fine, don't know how I must hear this before I die but there's some cool stuff here
Yeah I really liked this. Extremely Jazzy rap, I couldn't understand him but his flows and the beats were great.
Pretty solid UK punky type stuff, not the biggest Blur fan but there's some good stuff here
I just know this gave every classic rock elitist on this website a heart attack, the album itself is pretty cool, really crazy for 2003, gets a little repetitive though
Solid kind of genre bending (post-punk?) album, every other song is good really
Yeah I love this their self titled is better though
Not the best thing I've heard from them it's hit or miss
It was okay, can't really say much but queen has much better
Pretty boring save some pretty solid songs
I love this album, many great and catchy stuff like Here Comes Yoir Man and Monkey Gone to Heaven but you also have some crazy tracks like Gouge Away
Too Radiohead-esque for me, Knights of Cydonia saved it though
Not my favorite by them but pretty good
Not that interesting RIP though
Love Björk, one of her best here, love the dance elements here and there. Big Time Sensuality so good
I've heard a lot better Latin stuff but this is still pretty enjoyable
Average hard rock, some fine songs
Love David Bowie, love Ambient, this album is for me, I love everything about this album just misses that connection for me
Half of it was boring and half of it I really enjoyed, at least you're getting songs like Wild World and Father and Son
Every song sounds the same, just 50s country stuff not that interesting, I get the significance though
Pretty interesting soul stuff, cool orchestration, liked half the songs
This really hit me form an emotional standpoint, love a lot of songs here
Far from the Beatles' best, their early stuff is kinda whatever, this is one of the best of this era though
Nice jazz stuff, some pretty cool parts though very samey
It's fine, the first and last song we're pretty good and the rest was pretty boring but the last song made it a 3 star
A third of the songs were good, I got tired of their shtick halfway through
Pretty interesting and weird, got old pretty quick but still a nice sound
Some pretty cool beats but doesn't do that much for me, some pretty great songs like the intro
Another testament to this website's affinity for hating anything unique. Pretty fine industrial stuff, they just seem to rely on the same sounds too much
Very post-punky kind of style, some really great stuff here but they don't wander far from their style
Countless bangers here, amazing guitar sound, a bunch of amazing hits here like Black Hole Sun, one of the best albums in grunge
Just another good jazz album, nothing really outstanding but it's pretty cool
Enter the Wu-Tang is my favorite Hip Hop album of all time, and this really is the best solo project of the group. This is possibly the greatest produced hip hop album ever, this has RZA's best beats, my favorite beat oat is 4th Chamber. GZA is also an amazing MC with great wordplay, and the features are stacked. This is the ideal hip hop album.
Pretty cool kind of art rock, starts sounding the same after a little bit though
Immense vibes but the songs don't really do anything outstanding
Expected a lot more from this, pretty underwhelming bit some fairly good songs
Countless bangers on here. Love the hip hop kinda influence
One of the most important rap albums of all time. Nothing but amazing songs here and Nas is a lyrical genius. This album just doesn't have an emotional connection for me to be a 5.
A pretty early punk album, it seems to be making fun of itself which is cool but honestly not that interesting
Really good mix of experimental stuff with the indie folk rock style. Plenty of amazing songs here.
Don't like The Smiths that much, and it's just new wave to me, I have to say I do enjoy the vocals quite a bit.
Beautifully produced album, Common is a really talented rapper, very uplifting sound, Be (intro) is one of the best beats ever.
Amazing beats, I prefer DJ Shadow's Endtroducing... but this is still a beautiful album. Title track is outstanding.
Heard some good things about The Fall, and this is my first album. Pretty good, the drums are really loud in the mix but solid post punk stuff
There's just some way better David Bowie albums. There are classics like Fame and the title track but just not my favourite of his
I prefer Zappa's solo catalogue, still pretty nice though
Interestingly produced album, just lacks variety at some points, still some pretty big bangers here like Fat
It's cool. Pretty early rap and the beats are good. Good flows here and there. Every other song was good
To Pimp a Butterfly is probably the most highly regarded album of the past 20 years. And for a good reason. Kendrick pulls influence from old African American styles like jazz and funk, and uses this to display what it's like to be a black man in America. No other album really has a concept like this. Every song here is absolutely outstanding and it executes everything it sets out to do perfectly. Kendrick's ability to put his ideas on full display, as well as his songwriting, is as good as you can get. Each song has a profound message which is easy to understand yet still complicated in concept. Songs like Alright which is probably my favorite song here has become a staple in the BLM movements now. There are some songs here that are undoubtedly classics. The production on this record honestly could not get any better, the lyrics are some of the best Lamar has ever written, and everything has defined a whe generation. You have the poem that occurs throughout the end of Many tracks here, which takes full form in the closer, which leads to a fake interview with 2Pac. There is absolutely nothing I can complain about on this release and is for sure a perfect album. My favorite songs are Alright, The Blacker the Berry, and Wesley's Theory.
Classic album, my favourite of theirs is Stadium Arcadium but so many amazing songs here too
Good album, there's pretty good beats just gets pretty weird and the lyrics aren't good.
It's pretty funky but I feel like I've heard this album a billion times before. Just inoffensive soul stuff.
One of the greatest metal albums ever. I really don't have much of a personal connection with this but the riffs and the overall instrumentation is really great, so many bangers here
One of the greatest metal albums ever. I really don't have much of a personal connection with this but the riffs and the overall instrumentation is really great, so many bangers here
Good Southern rock stuff, I liked about half the songs, lots of these hit for sure
Neil Young just ain't the most interesting artist for me, last half was good though for sure
Liked this quite a bit. Quite a bit of good songs here and the instrumentation is fairly unique.
Classic album right here, great production, love snoop's voice. Really nothing bad about this album.
Metal classic, I prefer Ride the Lightning but still really amazing songs here like Orion.
Top 3 albums oat for me. Every song is amazing and you're getting bangers like the title track and moonage daydream but also some emotional stuff like rock n roll suicide and five years. The writing is absolutely perfect, great storyline too.
Not one of his best works but still really enjoyable, title track really works well. There's many songs that are a little boring but this album is still good.
It's okay, not the biggest fan of 2 step but there's some cool production here
Just some normal rock stuff, definitely a lot of bangers here though like Mysterious Ways
Cool Latin rock type of stuff, really expected to like it more though it got a little boring after a while
Some classics here but there's a shit ton of filler, live but it doesn't have the charm of a live album
Great jazz album, the vocals are so warm and the instrumentation is so chill, Girl from Ipanewa is absolutely Amazing.
Solid art pop, kind of electronic album. Very Bjõrk-esque and I do enjoy about half of the songs
Pretty fine album by The Beatles, some.filler here but I do really like Eleanor Rigby
I like it, a lot the same though, heard other stuff that sounds just like it, great songs here though
My favourite by the Beatles. Every song is at least good and there's stuff like I Want You and The End.
Not the best from Iggy but still very solid, lots of interesting stuff here
Expected to like this a lil more. Some classic songs but a lot of filler, the Stones have way better
Top 2 pop album of all time. Beautiful singing, great production, the first half is full of a ll my favourite songs and the second half is a nice mix of experimental stuff.
Fairly interesting production, this type of music just tends to blur for me and a lot of the songs were just there
The best black sabbath album, basic pick but every song here is absolutely amazing. This album got me into metal and therefore also got me into music in general, it holds a really special place in my heart. RIP Ozzy
Solid electronic rock stuff, some really cool synths are here and it's fairly enjoyable
Too Beatles-esque for me but still some cool stuff here
Average 50s jazz album, singing is pretty good though
Pretty cool instrumentation here and there, a lot of filler stuff though. Never heard about this movie
Classic post-punk album. Love the dark atmosphere, so many bangers here, just an amazing album all around
Pretty boring overall but there were some cool parts
Daughter of João Gilberto, pretty solid, like the production
Extremely influential, also amazing songwriting here, Heroin is an amazing song and I really like Venus in Gurs and Sunday Morning. One of the best out there.
Very important albums gor rap but there are a lot of misses here, but also some all-time classics.
Every song here is good, not their best by any means and it's not outstanding but still really good
Pretty fine. A lot of it is pretty boring but some songs really hit for me.
Great industrial stuff here. Plenty of amazing songs like Hurt (though I like the Johnny Cash cover more) and Closer.
Pretty good but I thought I would like it more, some.good production but it got boring halfway through
Amazing production here. Someone Great is an alltime favourite of mine. The songs might go on too long but I don't mind at all
Pretty cool soul stuff. Doesn't particularly interest me too much, way better soul and funk out there even by Curtis but still solid
Not the best Stan Getz I've heard but some nice songs in here.
Heard better Kate Bush but still a great album, loved everything I've heard from her so far
Pretty good stuff, been meaning tobliaten to Rod Stewart and like half of these songs are good
Pretty overrated for me but a couple good songs at least
I prefer Lady Soul but this one is pretty good. Obviously has Respect which is a great song and I like some other stuff here too
Liked this. She has a great voice and some pretty recognizable sings here.
Can't say I'm the biggest Arctic Monkeys fan but this is the best thing I've heard from them so far
Pretty good folk rock style, first half of the album was like a 6/10 and the second half was an 8/10.
Some good things but a lot of whatever, enjoyed it just enough to be a 6/10 though
Good production, the songs here are more interesting than most other things I've heard from this genre.
This is about the same as any other Neil Young album. Pretty boring with a couple solid songs
It's good, has some classics here and the worst songs aren't bad at all
Very boring but didn't have anything bad about it, at least there was some enjoyable parts
My first Arcade Fire album. It was good, expected a lot more but it doesn't seem to be one of their best according to others
A great hip hop album. Production is clean. Great rapping, extremely underrated stuff.
Got pretty boring but there was some fun stuff here,
She obviously has a great voice but goddamn this was one of the most boring and one-dimensional things I've heard
Definitely some pretty good songs on here, Take Me Out is a favourite of mine but there are also some good deep cuts
A good punky garage rock record. Interesting songwriting, Roadrunner is a banger for sure.
Don't really know how to categorize this but there is some good songwriting moments on here as well as some fun instrumentation
Pretty boring but some good things at least, good production choices.
Enjoyed this quite a bit. First album I've heard from Bruce and there are quite some good songs on here.
Expected this to be better though still very solid. He has a really nice voice
Fairly good rock. Definitely some pretty memorable stuff here but a lot of whatever
Another kinda boring with a great voice on it, though there's definitely some cool songwriting moments on here
The dude's voice is pretty annoying but the instrumentation is fairly enjoyable, nothing really bad about this it just doesn't do anything interesting
Another boring album, the instrumentation is kinda cool but really doesn't do much..This guy has quite a good voice though.
This is around the same quality as Fat of the Land for me. Coll production and some good songs for sure buy nothing I'd come back for
First thing I've heard by Oasis, and it's pretty good, does nothing that separates it from other rock stuff but still has some great songs
Pretty fun rock album, great basslines ans it is quite funky.
This was extremely boring, there were only like 2 or 3 good songs, nothing bad though really but it's all the same
I
Pretty solid album from Depeche Mode. There's some really catchy stuff on here and enjoyable production.
Actually very enjoyable. Some real nostalgia coming off this too. Red eyes is genuinely a great song.
Can't say this was all that interesting. There was some redeemable factors but his voice doesn't interest me that much. There's other artists that do this type of stuff better though I did enjoy some songs.
First half was really good and second half was disappointing, expected to like this more than I did, still solid though
Just normal afrobeat stuff, heard way better stuff sounding like this but not bad
Pretty close to Loveless in terms of quality, maybe not as much but they're both very similar to me, I do like the atmosphere occasionally
There's a couple filler tracks but there's just so many bangers that I can't give this less than 4 stars
Very good, one of the best I've heard from Jorge Ben, amazing grooves on here.
Not my style of music but there was a song or 2 I enjoyed
I mean it was fairly interesting, with some cool production choices but I wouldn't come back to it
Solid funk record, I don't find myself coming back to it much but it definitely does that sound pretty well
Very great Art Rock and Proto-Punk album. Every song here is very good I just don't find much replay value.
Enjoyed this quite a bit. Title track is of course a classic and I liked some other stuff on here.
Pretty enjoyable, some great stuff on here like Money for Nothing
Pretty boring stuff but there some fairly interesting production choices here so it was enjoyable to some extent
Extremely boring, vocals weren't good at all but at least the hits were pretty good
A very grunge-esque 90s alt rock album, Siamese Dream has one of the greatest guitar tones I have ever heard. Very fuzzy and distorted guitars with atmospheric elements. I personally enjoy Billy Corgan's voice quite a bit. While the songs are very same-y, I quite enjoy the entire album's sound enough to where every single song is quite a highlight. On this album they aren't so focused on songwriting as they were on their next album, Mellon Collie, and more just focused on the overall style and sound. This seems like a landmark in the 90s alt rock scene to me. Some parts kind of feel dreamy, sort of influenced by shoegaze in the way it builds an atmosphere with distortion yet it is more interesting than almost anything in the genre. My favorite song on this album is Mayonaise.
Great production on here, some great vocals and rapping performances. A couple songs I don't really care about but most here are great
Pretty forgettable, definitely some nice instrumentation on here though so it's not bad
Definitely some pretty cool stuff on here but there's just way better I've heard from Prince
Top 5 album oat in my opinion. Would? is my favourite song ever, every song here has some much to come back to, the riffs are perfect, the vocals are passionate, the bass and drums work great and this is just a perfect album. There's an amazing atmosphere all over this that just adds so much emotion and there are countless bangers all over this.
Good but there's some songs I don't particularly care about, he has better live stuff
Pretty nice sound but it doesn't do much to get outside of its comfort zone
Good funky stuff here, I come back quite a bit to some songs here but also there's some songs that just don't matter
Pretty nice couple of songs though there was some stuff I didn't really care about
The hits here are really great and the other stuff is also mostly very good, overall extremely enjoyable stuff
Some great songs on here but it's like ever other Neil Young album to me it's just filled with a lot of boring stuff
Some very good songs and guitar work though some filler tracks
Very good post-punk album. Great instrumentation, riffs, like the vocals, there's a good sense of catchiness too.
Top 10 album of all time for me. Every song has some much to offer and you're getting songs like As and Sir Duke which aew timeless classic this is genuinely just a flawless. Nothing is more upbeat than this.
Kinda interesting indie record but it's definitely a little boring, some nice vocals here sometimes
Fairly good punk stuff, not nearly as good as London Calling but still some solid songs on here
Good but nothing special, enjoyed like half the songs here
Liked the production a couple parts here but pretty forgettable
Definitely some classics here but a lot of filler too, really love Baba o Riley though
My first Captain Beafheart album, very solid and I like the bluesy rock nature of it.
Some good hits but there's a lot of boring stuff on the middle
Definitely pretty good, gets too similar to all the other new wave stuff of this time period definitely some enjoyable songs on here
Not a big fan of Neil Young and this is probably my least favourite I've heard from, some fine stuff here still though
Pretty good but it's similar to lot of other Bob Marley albums where a lot of the songs sound the same, still enjoyable though
Nice instrumentation but a little boring ar parts
A little generic but I like the hits. The instrumentation is good enough.
Nice production but the second half is way worse than the first
First Nick Cave album, enjoyed it quite a bit, I liked half the songs
It's okay, like 3 good songs on here just not my style of music
Great songs, Jimi Hendrix is obviously one of if not the best guitar player ever, all of the songs are very good.
Some nice production, like this a little less than Voodoo, some interesting parts but overall not the most memorable thing ever
Pretty boring stuff but I liked some of the rock songs on here with guitar
Surprisingly very enjoyable, she is a very good singer, not my style of music personally though
Actually really liked this. Very great production and it's kind of chill. Overall just a very good listen.
My favourite Jimi Hendeix album, absolutely no misses here and amazing instrumentation overall.
It was okay, some cool electronic stuff, I liked the intro quite a bit though there was alot of boring stuff
Mostly pretty good but doesn't do much different from other new wave stuff
Pretty good stuff but not my style of music exactly, enjoyed the mor jazzy stuff though
It's fine hut really nothing special, fell off a ton by the second half
Fairly good jazz stuff here, not the most memorable thing ever but good nonetheless
Just another solid punky hard rock album, nothing special but has good energy
Some classics here like Maps but the first half was really not that good, second half was very solid though
Pretty solid songs on here but suffers from the fact that they don't stray far from their single style
Fairly good album, she has a great voice and there are some pretty memorable moments
Liked a good amount of the songs here, the hits are pretty good and I liked her voice
Fairly interesting production, a lot of interludey stuff that has no purpose though but I liked a lot of the normal songs
Some very great songs on here but also a ton of filler here so it's hard to give it above a 7/10, still some classics here though
They have a lot better but I still liked the songs fairly much, intro is obviously a great song
Not the most memorable thing ever but enjoyed the songs enough to where I somewhat liked it
Actually enjoyed this a lot, very good instrumentation and overall just a great album. I liked most songs
It's okay but not my type of music, there was a couple good songs but it's just not really for me
Fairly enjoyable, probably better than the other Tim Buckley album I heard (Goodbye and Hello) but not by much
Thoroughly enjoyed this album, great production choices and nice beats, jot much misses here
Pretty good production, enjoyed a lot of the songs but there was also a a bit of filler. Liked it though
Liked it a bit though I don't really care for this type of music much
Very good production here and also good verses. Better than 2001 imo
I liked all the more rock-adjacent folk songs on here but some of the other ones I really didn't care for. Somewhat enjoyable
Pretty nice jazz album, about half the songs were enjoyable but not much sets it apart from other jazz albums I've heard
A fine jazz album but not really many songs I liked, she has a fine voice but I feel like I've heard a lot of stuff just like this
Cream is one of my favourite bands though Wheels of Fire is my favourite of theirs, still a great album here
Some great songs but it has a lot of filler so I can't give it more than this
Enjoyed this quite a bit, a couple whatever songs on here but mostly great stuff and very memorable production
Not very memorable at all but some worthy songs on here, somewhat enjoyable.
Cool post-punky live album but it's really nothing impressive, some good stuff here though
Very Good Bpwie album, one of his best but it's not quite as good as something like The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust
Pretty enjoyable stuff but there is just so much filler I can't give this 4 stars
Pretty nice folky stuff but it goes on for way too long. Cool production choices though and some good songwriting moments
Some nice jazz but it has a lot of uninteresting parts, still pretty good though
Not the best thing bad brains has done but pretty good stuff still
Enjoyed this, nice bass and instrumentation, nothing extremely special but a nice listen
Definitely a top 2 Christmas Album, a lot of absolute classics here and just great for this time of year. I love Sleigh Ride
Somewhat enjoyable but got very boring listening to just piano for an hour straight
Not a massive fan of the beach boys and this one is definitely not the best thing ever but there is some somewhat solid songs here
There's some fine stuff here, I liked some production choices and she's a pretty good vocalist but there is so much stuff here that is pretty boring
Pretty joce folk stuff on here, some catchy tunes but nothing special
Nice old pop rock sound, I liked the more rock songs on here.
I wanted to like this more but there is just so much filler in here. It has a bive sound but so much extra short tracks that amount to nothing
My favourite album of all time. This is easily their most sonically diverse album but it's also insanely consistent. I love all four sides including side D, which seems to catch a lot of dislike with songs like Boogie With Stu and Black Country. Boogie With Stu is probably my least favourite here but it still rather enjoyable. The instrumentation is obviously outstandingvut from a songwriting this album has some of the band's best works ever like Ten Years Gone and Kashmir. The sheer amount of sounds this album covers in just the genre of rock is extremely impressive. They continously made a great album across 15 tracks and about an hour and a half, also including some of my favourite songs ever like Down By the Seaside, Ten Years Gone, and Kashmir.
I've heard way better from R.E.M. though Orange Crush is a great song
Some fine folk pop but not a lot here that was good, just kind of nice
Beats were good but it got really corny. The song Music and Politics is really bad but the production definitely saved this album
My favourite folk album. It's extremely simple yet Nick's voice is extremely soothing and unique and his guitar playing is very impressive. Very emotionally charged album for me and it's hard not to tear up listening to the title track.
It's okay though not many good songs. Very repetitive.
I liked this album quite a bit, the hits like the opener and Praise You are classics but the others are also extremely memorable, amazing production all over this. Just a great album.
Just another pretty good punk album to me, first and last song were great though
Probably the definitive jazz album. A little overrated for me but sill very good, very memorable jazz and all the songs are very good
Kind of boring 60s rock stuff, some bangers like Pearly Queen but otherwise fairly boring
Good folky stuff, very reminiscent of Bob Dylan and there are some really great songs here but a lot of boring stuff too
Classic album, amazing singing obviously and the instrumentation is also very memorable. Very emotional album but there's some songs I don't come back to much here
I don't hate this as much as some people, there's some pretty good production on this thing, quite memorable just the vocal performance is a little lackluster
Nice jazzy electronic music, some good songs here and pretty good production but like only every other song was good
Classic album, unique production, some great stuff like last nite and the title track, just a very enjoyable album.
I'm not the biggest fan of Elliot Smith, his voice is a little annoying to me but I did like some of the rock songs on here like Can't Make a Sound
It's pretty good but there's not much here that sets it apart from other indie pop and it's a little boring
Kind of cool indie rock but there's some stuff here that I feel like adds nothing. The positive of having a bunch of short songs though is that it's a lot more entertaining
Some good stuff but it's way too long and bloated
I love megadeth but this is probably their most overrated project, some unmemorable stuff here though still some bangers for sure
Some nice guitar playing and vocals but not my type of album really
Pretty boring early 60s stuff but there is some solid instrumentation on some songs and it's catchy sometimes
A great Nick Drake album, potentially the worst of his 3 albums but still quite good. Songs like One Of These Things First and Northern Sky mean quite a lot to me and the guitar playing on this album is also pretty impressive on something like Hazey Jane I.
Pretty cool space rock and there are some really awesome parts but the problem is it doesn't really go anywhere. It sounds really intense for like 9 minutes straight but then it just stop, no climax or anything
Kinda new wavey stuff here. Not much to say about it's just some solid new wave album with some cool songs like the title track
Pretty good tuff but not as good as Rumours, half of the songs here are kinda boring though it's still pretty good
Probably the best rush album, every song here is quite good and goon instrumentation throughout obviously
Kinda cool but not a very special punky rock album. Some songs like the first couple are great but in the middle to the end it gets a little boring. Has a nice energy though
Led Zeppelin is my favourite band/artist of all time yeat this is probably the weakest of their first 6 albums. I very much like this record though and the folky influences on this thing make it quite unique. Friends is a really good songs but also the hard rock stuff here like of course Immigrant Song and Out On The Tiles are among the best on here.
Bob Dylan has grown on me a lot recently and while this isn't among his best there are some amazingly written songs here. Even the songs that aren't highlights are also quite good
Good blues rock stuff, ofc Janis Joplin has an amazing voice but the instrumentation here doesn't do much for me.
It seems I really didn't like this as much as nost people, but as good as just their studio stuff to me which is pretty solid stuff but nothing extremely special.
I don't like Marvin Gaye as much as most people but this is probably better than What's Going On for me, it's somewhat interesting and some good songs here for sure
Good but definitely a little boring, despite how unique the instrumentation is. Cosmonauts is great song though, I thoroughly enjoyed that one
I mean it's fine but it really doesn't do anything new and the songwriting isn't anything special but I liked some of the synths here
I enjoyed this, I've always liked Dancing Queen the most out of all their hits. I liked about half the songs though some were pretty forgettable
This is the actual best Kendrick Lamar album. Better than TPAB, more replay ability with m.A.A.d city being one of my favourite songs of all time but you also get the masterpiece of Sing About Me. Production here is very good but the highlight is Kendrick's rapping performances with some of the greatest lyrics in the game. Insanely consistent album, with the worst song here being Sherane which is still quite an outstanding track. A great mix of conscious stuff here with the all-time bangers of m.A.A.d city and Money Trees. Nothing but amazing stuff on here. One of my favourites of all time.
This album is technically not very good but Def Leppard was one of my favourite bands around 4 years ago so this is very nostalgic for me. The first 6 songs are actually insane and the title track of course is great. Nothing but hits on here.
This is a little worse than live at witch trials. I like the mix of electronic stuff and the first 2 songs are great but the second half of this album isn't great.
One of the best jazz albums ever, amazing instrumentation and very funky. Watermelon Man and Chameleon are all-timers.
Top 3 Led Zeppelin, only behind Physical Graffiti and their debut. The best song here for me is When the Levee Breaks, with honestly the best drum sound of all time. Of course Stairway to Heaven is an amazing song with an outstanding guitar solo and the hits here are also great but other songs like Battle of Evermore and Misty Mountain Hop are extremely overlooked. This album is produced much more cleanly than the rest of their stuff they released and it's definitely a good change. It's their most "produced" album up to this point you could say which does make it more interesting and extremely enjoyable. There's really no misses on this album either. It has just as good instrumentation as any of their other works as well.
Probably the beat album of the 50s, I don't like it a massive amount but it's definitely very solid and Frank obviously has a pretty great voice. The instrumentation doesn't really do much for me though.
Very early punk stiff, expected to like it more than I did but still very cool stuff.
Really good kinda punky folk. Every song here is quite good with classic songs like Blister in the Sun. Very unique album and just extremely memorable.
Some kinda good songwriting moments on here but it's just another okay folk album to me. Instrumentation isn't that interesting but has a fine voice
Very good ambient album but I find this slightly overrated within the ambient sphere, I find plenty other albums much better though this for sure has some solid stuff
Some classics on here for sure though like half of this album is honestly some really boringly produced 80s rap stuff. Some funny lines here (like the Jimmy Page one on the second track) definitely make the boring songs more memorable at least
I can't lie I expected to really like this because I already heard Mama Foux before this and thoroughly enjoyed it, though this album is very uninteresting. It's only saved by its two highlights (Mama Roux and Jump Sturdy)
Extremely boring album. Only two or three salvageable songs and the rest are some.of the boring and forgettable songs ever.
Good modern take on folk rock. Nice instrumentation and vocals, pretty solid stuff. There were some songs that kinda dragged on for me but overall pretty good stuff
Honestly kind of an overrated Metallica album. I like them but this isn't anywhere near their best work though has some great songs like Blackened and Harvester of Sorrow
Some quite good experimental post-punk stuff. It's very weird but in an actually very enjoyable way and it is rather memorable. First song is nuts
Kinda boring old 60s rock album but it definitely has some highlights like Eight Miles High so it ends up just being okay
Good 80s rock stuff, I really like the hits but there are quite a bit of misses here as well. Fairly memorable stuff.
I'm not an absolute massive fan of Judas Priest but I do enjoy their stuff and this album is pretty good. A lot of bangers here.
Not among Sinatra's best but still good stuff. I really like the Girl from Ipanema cover here
This is my second Elvis Costello album (My Aim is True was my first) and I liked this one more. There is really nothing I could pick out of this album that hinders it's quality. It's some of the most fun albums in this new wave era. Very soft compared to other things from this era. It's very catchy, the instrumentation is smooth and I really Enjoy Costello's voice on here. There are no misses on this album. But no songs in particular stand out, just a very solid album. It has great basslines all over it just like most stuff from this genre. The production here is well thought out. It doesn't do anything particularly new but what it does do it does very well. My favourite song here is Senior Service.
Some classic Stones stuff. Paint it Black off the US version is an all-timer and Out of Time is also really good off the UK version. Under My Thumb is also a classic but there are quite a good amount of misses here and it gets a little boring.
Surprisingly chill. I really liked the long songs here, and many others. Just very good electronic and it somehow kept my interest for the entire 70 minutes despite not changing much throughout its length
I liked this at the start but then it got incredibly boring for a good 70% of the album, and then the last song was pretty good. The 3 good songs on here put it at 3 stars but this is pretty boring indie rock stuff
Some fine British rock stuff. The first couple of songs are significantly better than the rest, there's some cool punk influences on here it's just not all that special
I wanted to like this more, it's just some kinda good experimental stuff. I like the more rock songs on here. The first half is immensely better than the rest as well.
Pretty boring stuff but there some fairly good songs in the first half here, I don't really like Morrissey all that much
Some more boring folk rock, there are a couple songs that save it but it's all too much the same
One of the best Bob Dylan albums for sure. Has the same thing as all his 60s, albums, top tier songwriting and some pretty solid instrumentation. Very good stuff
Some okay stuff on here but it's incredibly boring, didn't like the classical bits on here but the rock songs were solid like Marley Purt Drive
Some fine country stuff and there was solid songs for sure but nothing to ride home about.
Very first half heavy album, first 4 songs plus Wake Me Up When September Ends were great but the other ones were either boring or just straight bad, very inconsistent album
Very good and early punk stuff. The Stooges were so extremely ahead of their time and this album has nothing but great stuff
Actually very good weird experimental rock stuff. The pureelectronic songs weren't all that great but that's like a total of 10% of this album, the first two songs are rather amazing and the other rock songs are also great
This is a sort of boring modern classical type album, The Sound Of Someone You Love is an amazing song though, carrying this entire album on its back
Classic prog rock stuff. I don't like this as much as a lot of people but 21st Century Schizoid Man is a great song. I also prefer KC's Red over this, still some very impressive stuff though
Definitely one of the best funk albums I've ever heard. It has some moments in the instrumentation that really appeal to my ears as well as being very catchy at times. Has everything you would want it funk like great bass and grooves. Very consistent album, having really only good songs besides Time
Definitely an album among the most overrated. Thom Yorke's voice is genuinely obnoxious and their instrumentals mostly go nowhere. I say mostly only because of Climbing Up the Walls and Electioneering, which alone bring this album up to a 6/10
Classic rap album. Amazing rapping, beats are also really good. Stan is an all-timer for sure. Easily Eminem's best
Not as good as the modern dance, the vocals at some point just get to be too much but I liked a good amount of the songs and the instrumentation is rather well done
Probably the worst arcade fire album I've heard so far (of their first 3). Very boring stuff though a couple songs save this from being 2 stars
Old 70s rock with a country tinge, specifically on the vocals. Some stuff is lowkey ahead of its time but also half the songs I didn't care about
Definitely the second best country album I've ever heard, behind also Johnny Cash's American IV. Amazing stuff here, classic songs, good catchiness but not in a corny way that happens with a lot of country. Songwriting is immense, just great stuff all around.
On the more boring end of post-punk/alternative rock. Wanted to like this more though there were definitely some pretty solid riffs here
The first baroque pop thing I've heard from Scott Walker. Pretty good, he definitely has a very great voice just the sobg blend together sometimes but overall solid stuff
Classic hop hop album. I don't like Kanye as a person and I haven't listened to his stuff in a while but the while ago I did listen to this album it's not as good as people say it is, Late Registration, Graduation, Yeezus are just much more interesting though this album has countless bangers. Y'all gotta stop rating albums you didn't listen to lol
Wanted to like this more. Not that interesting honestly and I'm not the biggest fan of Peter Gabriel's voice. The production here though is definitely very memorable.
Great alternative rock stuff. I really love PJ'S voice and I need to listen to more of her stuff. Well produced, good riffs, just a very well made album
Decent synthpop stuff, liked a good half of the songs though the first half definitely overshadowed the second half
Extremely boring album. Only one song here worth listening to. I also cannot stand Morrisey's voice.
Really good progressive rock, I prefer thick as a Brick but this is also very good with plenty of memorable songs
A good electronic take on New Order's classic sound, very unique and full of life, nothing but great songs here
Some really great live jazz stuff, the open hihat sounds like rain and the rest of the instrumentation is just very well done
Too Bwatles-y for me though I really liked the guitar and bass tone on a couple songs
Another great funk album from Funkadelic. I like the more rock parts on here but there's nothing but catchy bangers on here
A rather interesting album, I'm not quite sure how to describe it but it definitely has some pretty good songs like the opener
Very funky stuff, only thing I've heard from war previously is Low Rider which is ofc a banger, very catchy stuff on here
Very boring electronic stuff, maybe like 3 catchy songs and the rest just falls in the background extremely easily.
Usually don't like this type of music, very reminiscent of old 50s 60s stuff with the vocals but I really like her voice here. Instrumentation is somewhat interesting.
Pretty good African record with some takes on rock. I liked the rock songs the most but stuff like Desert Melodie was also pretty good
Title track is great here, maybe like one other song is good too but the rest of this album is boring af, title track saves it from being a 2 star though
WishI liked this more but this is just about the same quality as every other Talking Heads album I've heard. Psycho Killee and Uh Oh Love Comes to Town are really good and there's a couple other pretty good songs sprinkled in
Despite being a big Ambient fan and knowing this to be the most important ambient album, I actually haven't heard before this. It's definitely really well made ambient and most tracks beside the second one are quite interesting though it doesn't hit me emotionally like ambient should
Pretty good 60s jazzy instrumental R&B, reminds me of The Meters but maybe not quite as interesting. Title track is obviously a banger though
Really good 70s rock stuff here, most songs are really well done, vocals are good, instrumentation fits together pretty well, just very well-made stuff
First song blew me away here but the rest just isn't as good, still very enjoyable indie rock though
Very catchy jangle poppy stuff, some of the better stuff I've heard in this genre, consistently good melodies and a soothing atmosphere. A lot of great songs here
Okay Reggae stuff here, the 13 minute ling sing is one of the best here which takes up a large % of the album so it at least makes this album have a good amount of quality throughout it's length. Nothing really special about this but it's pretty fun
Can't find much special about this but there is some good songs and pretty catchy parts as well
Great album, full of all-time great post punk songs, nothing but bangers on this album and a good amount of experimentation as well. Sort of nostalgic too
Lots of classic songs here but like just about every other Bruce Springsteen there's also a lot of filler
Great folk album here, I was always a fan of Leonard Cohen for his ability to convey emotion through simplicity like Nick Drake. Plenty of amazing songs here
I like their second album mor, this one is definitely a little boring though has some good melodies and atmosphere strewn throughout
The best jazz album ever. An older example of what would later become ambient. Atmosphere here is unmatched, instrumentation is top tier, there is literally nothing I could bring against this album. Beautifully made.
Only the second Sonic Youth album I've heard, yet not quite at the level of their iconic Daydream Nation. This album is definitely on the more unconventional side, with some normal moments like Hot Wire My Heart, being a cover of a 70s punk rock song by the band Crime. Sonic Yoith filled up the noisy gap in the 80s Post-Punk scene while other artists like Joy Division on the Gothic Rock side and Talking Heads delving more into New Wave. While the other bands definitely have much clearer melodies, Sonic Youth do know how to create melodies on this album, it's just hard to find at some points due to being drowned out in the rest of the noise. Their sound is mainly based on the uniqueness of their guitar tones, which I don't really have the qualifications to speak on. The rest of the instrumentation is also very unconvential, especially with the drumming on the first track, Schizophrenia, featuring mostly the use of toms. The vocals admittedly are not very good but are not really the point of this record and are easy to look past. Rather than having a normal structure (verse, chorus) this album more focuses on the transformation of tracks. My favourite part of this album is definitely the mood, which I find to be oddly nostalgic at times and definitely sort of depressing. It's overall an extremely consistent listen and the only song I would leave off of this would be Beauty Lies in the Eye which seems more like an interlude than anything. My favourite song here would be Catholic Block.
The best Zappa album I've heard, some of the best jazz fusion out there. It never gets boring and it's stacked with really well-done instrumentation
Really good actually, the only supertramp I've heard but almost every song here is a highlight
Not the most interesting alt rock album ever but has some cool songs for sure, the first half tends to be better than the second
Really not the most interesting thing Tom Waits has ever done, has a cool live feel but it really is all the same, definitely some cool tracks here and there though
Some bangers here for sure but doesn't do too much more than any other blues rock stuff from the 70s, I like Eliminator a little more
Some classics on here for sure, gets a little corny at times but there are good songs here
The hits here are great but I just feel there's too much filler in between
Nothing here is bad per se but it sure as hell is one of the most boring things to ever touch my ears, first song is good and the rest is the most forgettable thing ever
Probably the best punk record out there, besides maybe London Calling or even Sound of Silver. Has that classic punk feeling of very simple songs yet every single track here is a banger. Great energy all the way through.
Definitely the best Fall album I've heard so far, great bass sections and has a sort if classic punk feeling yet still has the expiremental stuff you would hope for in post-punk, like every song here is good in its own right
Not the most interesting piece of African music I've heard, there's some good stuff but it all too same-y and there's more interesting stuff in this style
Classic funk record, title track is of course amazing but the other songs here are pretty catchy as well
The greatest rap album of all time. Outstanding production from RZA and the group has unmatched chemistry. So many classic songs like C.R.E.A.M. and Wu Tang Clan Ain't Nuthin to F' With. Every song here is amazing and there is literally nothing I would change about this album. Probably my second favourite all-time.
Definitely very boring but I'm not gonna pretend like there ain't bangers here, Sulfur, Psychosocial, Dead Memories, Snuff, the title track. There is good stuff here but it goes on a little long
A classic hard rock album from Guns N' Roses. Very catchy and has some pretty strong hooks, and plenty of iconic moments. An extremely conventional and commercial type of music but still quite enjoyable. It's a very entertaining listen, even with some misses it still keeps attention. It's more interesting than most other commercial hard rock albums from this era. It is extremely unadventurous though and many of the songs are not particularly special. Still though this album has a good energy and there is some very solid instrumentation. Slash is a pretty good guitarist and has some solid riffing and fairly impressive solos that give this album it's sound. This album has incredible amount of staying power, still being rather relevant to this day. Axl Rose's voice can get very annoying at points though and the vocals don't really add much of anything to this. My favorite song here is probably Nightrain.
Possibly my favourite Beatles-related album, it's rather long but mostly songs here are quite good and My Sweet Lord is a personal favourite song of mine. Very relaxing stuff
Definitely on the more boring side of folk but I like the more rock songs, it's short enough where it's not overly boring
Definitely some classics on here, though its sound is definitely dated. Title track is a banger ofc and I also really cherish
Decent funk/soul stuff but the mixing on the version I was listening to was rather terrible, some filler tracks too
A couple good songs here but lyrically this album is definitely NOT good. There are some cool beats though they are sometimes repetitive
Don't know how I didn't find this when I was doing my trip hop deepdive but this is sick, good psychedelic rock feel on a couple songs
Not the most interesting folk out there but the hits are good for sure, he has a good voice as well
Title track here is honestly one of the greatest songs of all time, the other songs are some cool instrumental ambient stuff but nothing all that memorable
Definitely one the best Beatles albums, cool production and most songs here are pretty memorable
Some decent new wave/pop stuff, pretty forgettable but it's a nice listen
Definitely the best thing I've heard from Paul Simon, some real cool African rhythms on here and the first couple of songs are quite great
Pretty decent 2000s boom bap, What's Golden is actually amazing though there's def some filler here
Far from the best thing Q tip has done but definitely a lot of bangers here, not the most memorable stuff ever
Kinda boring at parts but I admit there's some really good singing here and enough songs i liked for it to be like a 3 star
Yeah this album ain't good. Like 2 cool songs here and the rest is a snoozefest. Nothing bad though
Best White Stripes album for sure, nothing bur bangers, Jack White writes great riffs and Meg is really what separates The White Stripes from most modern blues rock
I can't help but be a little disappointed by this. Too Beatles-esque and just overall sort of boring though there were some really nice melodies and it wasn't bad
Primal Scream's Trip Hop album, it's pretty cool though there's way more interesting stuff in the genre
Nice songwriting parts here, albeit a little boring at times but I liked enough songs here
Isaac Hayes I mostly know as one of the most sampled artists of all time, mostly for his song Ike's Rap II. He was one of the most prominent figures in 70s soul, alongside Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, and this was released slightly prior to this era. What sets him apart is his orchestration as well as his focus on longer songs, with three out of the ten songs being over (or at least close to) 10 minutes. These songs are generally pretty repetitive but soul and funk are genres I could never really get bored of. Isaac here has a very good ear for instrumentation, especially with the very thick basslines. He provides great vocals, which fit in rather perfectly with the instrumentation. The orchestration here is often very powerful in combination with all the other elements. I recognize Hyperbolics as having a part that was sampled in Racionais MC's' Rapaz Comum, which isn't the only time he was sampled in their work. The aforementioned Ike's Rap II was also sampled on the same albums opening track. This is a great album to throw on in the summertime, having the same warm textures you would find in most other albums from this era of soul/funk. The only part I would take out would be Isaac's rather unnecessary monologue at the start of By The Time I Get To Phoenix, which lasts for a good 8 minutes. My favourite song here for sure is the intro, Walk On By.
Great industrial rock record, production is amazing even if the songs blend together too much
Sine nice stuff here but really boring in terms of house music, a couple bangers but mostly filler
Too Smiths-y for me, some nice stuff at least and the singer def has a better voice than morrissey
Definitely some solid riffs on this thing but a lot of the stuff here is insanely forgettable
Just another pretty okay electronic album, some good enough production but not really interesting in any way
Lots of great songwriters on here; Tom Waits, Scott Walker, Nick Cave. She has a pretty good voice and the last song here was pretty cool actually
Some decent songs here, keyword SOME. At times she's just talking and the instrumentation ain't that unique
Incredibly boring album, like 2 good songs and there was a lot of absolutely nothing in the middle of this
Pretty decent stuff, a lot better than the other Gene Clark album I got from this website
This album is like three songs and the rest mean nothing to me, boring for the most part but has decent stuff
Not Jack White's best but still very decent stuff
Decent traditional African music, not really enough variance here but it's got a nice vibe
Great pop rock stuff, Heart of Glass is an absolutely amazing song
Take it easy is great and there's a couple other cool songs here but mostly pretty boring
Decent stuff here, second song is way better than the rest though there's def some other songs here that are pretty good
Decent funk rock, some bangers here for sure but it's a little repetitive
Pretty good pop vut def bot the most memorable album ever, has some cool synths though
Sepultura definitely went mor into their nu metal bag on this one, they have much better stuff but this is definitely still pretty solid. Roots Bloody Roots is great
