When can we, as a society, stop pretending like Radiohead makes good music? Holy shit this is horrendous slop. Hard to understand the lead singer when his head is so far up his ass. If a band has a successful album, and they get pissy and make their next album "to change up their sound to something they like" there is a 100% chance it will be self-indulgent garbage. If you can't tell I hate Radiohead's Kid A. Best Song: How To Disappear Completely Rating: 2/10 Stars: 1/10

Perhaps the most overrated band of all time? But maybe that's because I don't do LSD. I went to the Shakedown Street outside of their concert at Golden Gate Park recently. It was the strangest group of people I have ever seen in my life. I'll never forget it. I hated every moment of it. No one was friendly, and everyone smelled so, so bad. Best Song: Friend of the Devil Rating: 6.0/10 Stars: 3
I normally don't like MJ, but after a start-to-finish listen man this is awesome. Best Song: Man in the Mirror Rating: 8.5/10 (Great) Stars: 4/5
Two things can be true. This album is absolutely must-listen before you die, and I also don't like it all that much Best Song: Walk Rating: 6/10 Stars: 3/5
I really got into Jeff Buckley in 2024 and I am excited this is my first album of 2025. Stunningly beautiful album. I wish he was able to make more music, but at least he left the world this masterpiece. My favorite song is probably Lover, You Should've Come Over, but this version of Hallelujah is incredible as well. Best Song: Lover, You Should Have Come Over Rating: 10/10 5 Stars

Relatively dull '70s Hippie folk rock that doesn't move the needle for me, except for the song "Almost Cut My Hair". This is the first time I have heard this song (and most of the songs on this album), and it absolutely blew me away. This David Crosby led song really changes the entire outlook on this album for me, and brings it up a peg. Really disappointed in the Neil Young led tracks as I figured they would be the most interesting to me Best Song: Almost Cut My Hair Rating: 6.0/10 3 Stars
Look It's the Beach Boys, people call this one of the top 5 albums of all time. Revolutionary, etc. It's just not for me. I do not like this album, but bonus points for it being so iconic. Best Song: Wouldn't it be Nice Rating: 4.0/10 (Forgettable) 2 Stars
While I am obviously no expert, it feels as though there is no note out of place in this exposition. Wonderfully crafted, and truly beautiful music. My ignorance for jazz music makes me feel like I can't properly appreciate this, but nonetheless. Love Miles Davis. Still think he has some better albums in comparison. Best Song: Shh/Peaceful Rating: 8.0/10 4 Stars
This album undoubtedly kicks ass. I understand the love and acclaim. While this definitely isn't anything that I would listen repeatedly, an occasional revisit is nice every once in while. Best Song: River Rating: 8.5/10 4 Stars
This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Its perfect. Its a 1000% perfect album. I wish Frank Ocean released music more frequently, because the world needs it. The hardest part of this for me, is coming up with the best song. Pyramids, Forrest Gump, Pink Matter, all worthy choices. I think I will have to go to the song I've replayed the most out of all of Franks discography, Bad Religion. Stunningly beautiful and genuine. Absolutely love this album. Best Song: Bad Religion Rating: 10.0/10 5 Stars
Nick Cave is definitely hit or miss artist for most. A great voice, incredible songwriting, deeply harrowing music. This style of music in Ghosteen unfortunately does not work for me. It is probably some of the darkest and saddest music I can think of, but its the "Ambient" style of music that really takes most of the luster away from me. Hauntingly Beautiful is the description I would use for this. Best Song: Wild Horses Rating: 4.5/10 2 Stars
Really felt nothing towards this album, feels like there isn't all much there. I understand the significance of this band but it doesn't do anything for me Best Song: Pale Blue Eyes Rating: 4.0/10 2 Stars
Really solid album from an all time great. Doesn't live up to the ATCQ albums but it still has its highs Best Song: Official Rating: 7.0/10 3 Stars
The Cisco Kid is about the only bright spot for me, I doubt I would revisit this anytime Best Song: The Cisco Kid Rating: 3.5/10 2 Stars
Oh hell yea, this kicks some ass. Never listened to this much Iron Maiden before but I really enjoyed most of this. Run for the Hills was a huge video game soundtrack memory for me and I was pumped to rediscover it. Will I go back to this? Probably not, but I'm glad that I did Best Song: Run For the Hills Rating: 7.5/10 3 Stars
First album of this project that I really, really disliked. It starts off well enough with some 90's grunge/garage rock and it devolves into a cheezy 90 movies action movie soundtrack that gets worse every single track. Couldn't take it seriously towards the end. Best Song: Run For the Hills Rating: 2/10 1 Stars
Very lukewarm album that doesn't take me anywhere special. The songs alternate between great and tolerable. Very lukewarm Best Song: E-Pro Rating: 5.5/10 3 Stars
One of the greatest rap albums of all time, absolutely phenomenal album. Every song is better than the next, all time classic Best Song: NY State of Mind Rating: 9.5/10 5 Stars
With the exception of “You got to Move”, every song is really solid and super enjoyable. You can tell it’s early 70’s rock and roll, but the Stones make it iconic. I think this is my favorite Stones album but I’m no expert Best Song: Wild Horses Rating: 7.5/10 4 Stars
It kind of feels like they write songs based off of what they are currently doing or seeing, which is kind of funny, but overall really good Best Song: I Need You Tonight Rating: 7.5/10 4 Stars
Bummed I had to listen to this Best Song: N/A Rating: 2/10 1 Stars
The title track is honestly not as good as I remembered it being, and the rest of this album is simply just adequate. Nothing jumps out as good or bad, its all pretty forgettable Best Song: Imagine Rating: 6.0/10 3 Stars
I'm starting to get lost amongst all of the Brit-Rock I have been listening to through this process and this one has a couple of nice tracks, but nothing pulling me in either direction Best Song: I've Seen all Good People Rating: 6.5/10 3 Stars
Absolutely absurd themes and lyrics, and the asides throughout the album truly take away from what is really good R&B. Super disappointed as there are some really good songs on here Best Song: Girl Like Me Rating: 5.0 /10 3 Stars
Uhhh this fucking sucks? Best Song: N/A Rating: 0.5/10 1 Stars
Absolutely fun as hell, give me more recommendations like this, anonymous list generator. Best Song: (Nothing's too Good) For My Baby Rating: 7.5 /10 4 Stars
There is a ton of good in here. Also a bit of boring, but mostly good Best Song: 4th Chamber Rating: 7.0 /10 4 Stars
Hahaha this is so fun, not going to listen everyday but fun Best Song: Farewell, Farewell Rating: 7.0 /10 4 Stars
Look, new Coldplay is incomprehensibly bad. Its the worst. The worst type of music, music that is designed to be played at grocery stores. However their old stuff absolutely rips. I saw Coldplay in 2022 and was not really excited, but was blown away and became a fan (of the old stuff) for life. You'd be hard-pressed to find 4 songs in a row on any album that rip as hard as Shiver, Spies, Sparks, and Yellow. Other than that, the songs are pretty boring and dull Best Song: Yellow Rating: 7.5 /10 4 Stars
I really had higher hopes for this, it doesn't work for me. Every song sounds exactly the same and Cube raps every song like its his dying breath Best Song: Rollin' With the Lench Mob Rating: 4.0 /10 2 Stars
I hated every moment of this Best Song: N/A Rating: 1 /10 1 Stars; I would put 0 stars if I could
Not a big thrash metal guy, but I do know that I like other thrash better. This is very, very solid Best Song: Take No Prisoners Rating: 7.0/10 3 Stars
Spectacular. Not the greatest album of all time like Rolling Stone thinks but its simply wonderful Best Song: Mercy Mercy Rating: 9.0/10 5 Stars
It was a struggle to get through this. Her voice is not the voice of a professional singer and the music sounds like it comes from a high school jazz band Best Song: N/A Rating: 2.0/10 1 Star
Is this essential? No. Is it fun? Yea sure, in an ironic way Best Song: Sallu McLennee Rating: 4.0/10 2 Star
I am desperately bored listening to this, and need something much more exciting from her in the additional albums I'll have to listen to. Best Song: Help Me Rating: 5.0/10 3 Star
Incredibly frustrating. Maps is an all time song, and most of these songs in theory are great. But the shrieking, moaning, screaming, and general lack of genuine singing effort (not ability) ruin this album. I love garage rock/punk and I do not love this Best Song: Maps Rating: 3.5/10 2 Star
I love Led Zeppelin and I don't care who knows it. I think this is my 2nd or 3rd favorite of theirs, but an awesome and fun listen Best Song: Maps Rating: 7.5/10 4 Stars
Holy shit how did I get Zeppelin 4 the day after I got Zeppelin 3!!! This album is a work of art, and their best work. Not a 10/10 because I really don't like The Battle of Evermore, but other than that this absolutely rips. Best Song: Going to California Rating: 9.5/10 5 Stars
Just not a big Paul Simon guy. I saw him live at Outsidelands and he was awesome, just........ boring. I find everything about him and his music and this album just to be boring Best Song: You Can Call Me Al Rating: 5.0/10 3 Stars
Please stop it with these British New Wave Pop albums Best Song: Living in Another World Rating: 4.0/10 2 Stars
The highs are really high in this, and the lows are very, very low. It's not for everyone and it probably isn't for me? Best Song: Mr. Siegal Rating: 6.5/10 3 Stars
Rush is like the musical equivalent of mayonnaise. I don't really like mayonnaise. Best Song: Tom Sawyer Rating: 5.5/10 3 Stars
Didn't know cover band music could make this list Best Song: Peace Dog Rating: 4.0/10 2 Stars
Woah! I actually really like this. First great discovery from the 1001 album list for me. It's not a perfect album but it fits my music tastes really well Best Song: Sunken Treasure Rating: 7.5/10 4 Stars
DNF, could not finish this, I tapped out after the 4th song where they stuck a bunch of forks in the garbage disposal and turned it on Best Song: N/A Rating: 0/10 1 Stars
I'm sorry what? I love this?! I assumed I would absolutely hate it based off of the fact that I hate 80's pop but every song on here absolutely rips Best Song: Hungry Like the Wolf Rating: 9/10 5 Stars
I've never understood the love for this album, its fine(?) at best? Best Song: Nothing Compares 2 U Rating: 4.5/10 2 Stars
Insufferably boring Best Song: Season of Hollow Soul Rating: 3/10 2 Stars
Very, very sad music Best Song: Place to Be Rating: 5.0/10 3 Stars
Pretty nice, all good and fun, not anything too crazy. Best Song: No, You're Product Rating: 6.5/10 3 Stars
I actually needed some good background noise at work today so this was helpful Best Song: N/A Rating: 3.0/10 2 Stars
This is what I expect when I think of shitty 80's Pop music. Whiney and bland and annoying Best Song: Rocket's Tail Rating: 5.0/10 3 Stars
First half of the album is near-perfect, and the end is kind of slower than I remembered. Love Metallica and love this Best Song: Enter Sandman Rating: 8.0/10 4 Stars
Please no more New Wave Best Song: Treason Rating: 4.0/10 2 Stars
Music: Kicks Ass Length of album: Kicked my Ass Best Song: I Wanna Destroy You Rating: 7.5/10 3 Stars
I would consider this to be as mid of an album as mid can be Best Song: Jesus, Etc Rating: 5.0/10 3 Stars
The bones of a good album are here, the ingredients are all ready to go, and then they just completely ruin it with the pretentious schtick of whatever they hell they thought would sound like shit. Infuriating listen Best Song: Uncontrollable Urge Rating: 3.0/10 2 Stars
Its not good, but its not bad? Best Song: Guilt Rating: 4.0/10 2 Stars
Heavy, heavy stuff on here. Overall I really enjoy this, I'm not the biggest Reggae fan but this is superb Best Song: Marcus Garvey Rating: 7.0/10 3 Stars
BREAKING THE LAW BREAKING THE LAW Best Song: Breaking the Law Rating: 7.0/10 3 Stars
I'm a fan of Return to Cookie Mountain and I was hoping for so much more from this but its just not there? It has its moments but it just largely falls flat and is just adequate to good Best Song: DLZ Rating: 6.0/10 3 Stars
When I say I don't like Country this is what I mean Best Song: Streets of Bakersfield Rating: 4.5/10 2 Stars

Dark, Bleak, Depressing, Decent. RIP to a legend Best Song: You Want it Darker Rating: 6.5/10 3 Stars

I am very against albums with more interludes and poetry than actual music. Best Song: Bow Rating: 2.0/10 1 Stars
My mom absolutely loves this album, by the way Best Song: Peg Rating: 3.0/10 2 Stars
Man this would have crushed if I did a ton of heroin in the year 1972 Best Song: Don't Fall Down Rating: 5.0/10 3 Stars

When can we, as a society, stop pretending like Radiohead makes good music? Holy shit this is horrendous slop. Hard to understand the lead singer when his head is so far up his ass. It takes a bit to warm up to her voice which is different, but man this is really nice. Best Song: Lilac Wine Rating: 7.5/10 Stars: 4/10
There is no reason as to why this is as good as it is, with as poor singing as it has. I can totally see where the Jason Isbell/ Drive By Truckers crossover and influences hit eachother. Really like this, despite the fact that no one is good at singing. Best Song: Zip City Rating: 6.5/10 Stars: 3/5
You know how the second Mission Impossible movie has the most ridiculous, absurd 90's score? How that movie is a bore to get through. This is the same thing. DNF Best Song: Speedway Rating: 2/10 Stars: 1/5
They were all fucking? Right? They had to be. Anyways, California Dreaming is one of the best songs of all time and there are alot of other good ones on here too Best Song: California Dreaming Rating: 7.5/10 (Solid) Stars: 4/5
On paper, I should have always been a huge Arcade Fire fan. I think they were just 2-3 years too old from my Indie-Music fandom. I have never listened to them like this, nor taken them seriously, which is weird because this should be right up my alley for taste... and... it is. It's incredible. I'm kicking myself for never taking them seriously. I absolutely love this and am going to revisit their entire discography. This rips Best Song: The Suburbs Rating: 9.5/10 (Incredible) Stars: 5/5
*whispers quietly* I don't understand the admiration for Prince & his music, because frankly, it is ass; it is very not good. I am not going to pretend like I enjoyed any minute of this album. That being said, no one has ever had as much swagger as Prince did. And for that, he gets an extra star Best Song: Sign 'o The Times Rating: 3/10 (Irritating) Stars: 2/5
I just can't fully appreciate music like this. Some of it is nice, some of it is just so simple like background music. None of it is offensive, I guess? Best Song: St. Elmo's Fire Rating: 4.5/10 (Forgettable) Stars: 2/5
Simply incredible. I've listened to this album probably more than any other from start to finish. First album on the 1001 Album listing that I was able to listen to on Vinyl as well Best Song: Jesus of Suburbia Rating: 10/10 (Perfect) Stars: 5/5
Why does his voice sound like that. DNF Best Song: I Want You Rating: 2/10 (Irritating) Stars: 1/5
South Park did tell us that Bono is objectively the worlds Largest Piece of Shit, and he in fact, is full of it. But there is so much good on this album. Some of the greatest stadium rock anthems of all time on this Best Song: Red Hill Mining Town Rating: 8/10 (Excellent) Stars: 4/5
Generic, plain, and boring Best Song: That's Entertainment Rating: 5/10 (Enough) Stars: 3/5
Way better than it had any right to be. I really, really don't like the title track due to how overplayed and cheezy and just repetitive it is, but the rest of this album is really good! Best Song: He's the Greatest Dancer Rating: 7/10 (Solid) Stars: 4/5
Going to enter my Gym Playlist for years to come. Best Song: Super Unison Rating: 6/10 (Adequate) Stars: 3/5

Muse rocks and I'm tired of pretending like they don't. Yea, this would definitely feel annoying on the third or fourth listen in a short time period - but every once in awhile throwing on a Muse album kicks ass Best Song: Starlight Rating: 7/10 (Solid) Stars: 4/5
My least favorite out of the three on this list so far, a bit more filler than the III & IV, but still kicks ass. Best Song: Whole Lotta Love Rating: 7/10 (Solid) Stars: 4/5

I was thirteen when this album came out. This was the best summer of my life. My friends and I had enough autonomy to spend the days outside from 8 am to ~ whenever my mom called and asked if I was spending the night at a friends house. We were late to the game, but this was the summer of Kanye West and rap music. Funny thinking back, imagining a group of 8 of the whitest kids you've ever seen riding bikes and scooters and skateboards in a California suburb. Hell, my baseball team would play this nonstop when the coaches weren't listening. But there we were, young, dumb, and newly acquainted to rap, straight from the greatest rap album of all time nonetheless. I think I might have listened to this album 100+ times that summer. It changed the concept of music for me, and changed what I believed music could be. I had absolutely no connection to the lyrics, the style, or the messaging in any of these songs, but man, I couldn't get enough. Fast forward to 2026. Kanye, for all intents and purposes, is a despicable human being. I have no good words to say for or about him. I do not respect him or his beliefs on any level. His music post TLOP is unlistenable, for both its musical contents, antisemitism, and its message. I will not listen to a new Kanye album ever again. Separating the art from the artist, this is a perfect album, and one of the 5 greatest albums of all time, to me. Fuck Kanye West, forever and always; but you can not deny this masterpiece. Best Song: Devil in a New Dress Rating: 10/10 Stars: 5
