Reviews (page 6 of 7)

Never been a big Beyoncé fan. Like her in Goldmember though. This album is almost alright. Some big highlights, others that I just don't at all care for, couple bad tracks. But the real problem I have with this is the length of some of these tracks. They feel like they go on forever, should have cut some of those down to 3 and a half minutes instead of them being 5+

Not my cup of tea but some great ones. Too horny

If you got a meal deal sandwich with this much filling you'd be delighted.

Felt like this album was kind of all over the place. Wasn't all that good.

Never got the appeal of Beyoncé. Sure, she has a good voice but imo that isn't enough to make her the stand out she is. Maybe if you see her live, she's a great performer? Idk. This was just meh. More engineered than created iykwim.

p936. 2013. 2 stars. Well, she's got a great voice and some decent lyrics - but there's no standout tunes, it goes on far too long for what it is, and it's horribly dated.

Maybe because this album followed an album very special on to me, but I found this to be pretty bland. Never felt any emotion and seem to lack the desire to be something special. I just couldn't get into it and the addition of people like Drake, Nicki Manaj and Kanye just made it worse. I quit halfway through my 2nd listen. Just doesn't appeal to me. 2

2.5 This is one of those albums I have trouble rating because, while I recognize it’s incredibly well-produced and that Beyoncé is an insanely talented singer/performer, it just does very little for me. Which, honestly, is kind of how I’ve always felt about Bey’s music - it’s not bad, but I’m not sure what drives so many people to it. There’s certainly a bit of R&B groove to it (especially here), but for the most part, it just feels formulaic - which is definitely what you don’t want on an album that’s supposed to be intimate and personal. Like, all I really got out of this is that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have a very active, healthy sex life (good on them, honestly). I know the album is supposed to represent sexual liberation for both Bey and women alike, an ambition I respect and that I think she pulls off pretty tastefully for the most part, but the concept started growing a little thin for about the same time the music did, which was somewhere in the middle. Pretty Hurts and Drunk in Love were both decent songs to start off with, but when Drake popped in to completely ruin Mine, I was mostly checked out for the rest of this album. I thought the Frank Ocean song might at least save things, and while his feature is certainly solid, musically I found Superpower to be the most annoying on the album. However, I did think the closing track dedicated to her daughter was a really nice note to end on. I mean, also a touch weird given the subject matter of just about every other song here, but sweet nonetheless. A net “okay” from me all-around, mostly because I feel unaffected by this, but I will say, the bonus tracks damn near spoiled the whole thing for me. Kanye West jump scare alert - dude pretty much massacres the best song on the album with his remix.

Surprisingly boring.

Too many pauses in the music, overall abit repetitive

I just don't get it... There's a couple of Beyonce's singles that are bangers, but this album is dreadful.

This album seems more like a product placement for Beyonce the image than it is a serious work of art offering trenchant political and social commentary (as is billed).

Sexy, overproduced pop stuff. Worth a listen, but about once is plenty.

Generic and soulless. But even worse than that, boring.

She's talented but it didn't do much for me

Just not my kind of music, respect to Queen Bey

Not my jam

There's some pretty good stuff here, but there's a lot of fluff, or at least a lot of stuff I didn't really like. Great singer, great production, great collaborators, but a lot of boring generic music.

Beyoncé is a legend of pop music, but this album did not manage to reveal to me why that is. Very forgettable overall.

Her voice is magical and there is an unapologetic confidence to everything she does. Immediate negative points for Jay-Z says breastesses. Overall it’s fine. Nothing stood out as incredible or terrible for me. Also I love creativity and the idea of a visual album but it’s almost explained like the music can’t speak for itself. Favourite song: Heaven

I swear I do like Beyoncé…but I feel like she has way better albums? This wouldn’t have been my pick.

It’s not bad but I’m not into this at all.

Fair play for trying something a little different than you'd expect... Not my thing at all though

Why did so many of the songs on this album start off with at least some potential only to be ruined within 30 seconds. How the fuck do you have an album produced by 30 of the world's "best" producers only for it to wind up this shit? The only reason why this album is a 2 and not a 1 is because I actually thought the narration at the start was pretty cool, and the album seemed like it would follow along this theme of how women in the spotlight will always be criticised for their appearance or behaviour, and that's some Queen shit. But then songs like Blow and Jealousy fucking ruined it (although I admit I was amused by the fact that a song called Blow was actually about eating pussy, I hope my boyfriend likes Skittles).

I've never really listened to Beyoncé, so I was quite pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the album a few tracks in... and then I didn't. I actually found myself getting pretty bored by the end of the album. Favorite track: "Haunted"

Quite liked the message but not the hiphop or whatever this is. Not even a single song I knew on this...

This album has a handful of pretty great songs on it but my god is it bloated. In some places the music is empowering and fun and well made. In others it’s over produced, with poor writing and lyrics. Beyoncé’s vocals have always seemed to me to be pretty undeniably great, regardless of the quality of the writing and the over produced glitzy sound works for the style of this album in some places, but often comes across as too much. Stand out tracks are: XO, Jealous, Partition and Drunk in Love. Worst song for me is easily Blow, for a song about sex it sounds so un-sexy, like Beyoncé decided to make her own version of 50 cents candy shop. It’s going for this Raunchy not subtle tongue in cheek metaphor which isn’t meant to be hard to catch but it’s so tactless and the sound design and production of the song is so bad that instead of feeling cheeky it just feels frustrating. Overall the highs on this album are pretty high and with some trimming of fat and tweaking it could’ve been a pretty good album. Hoping there’s some more Beyoncé on this list as she has much better albums that could’ve been here instead. As it stands 2.5/5

I didn’t know any of these songs going into the album, and I won’t know them tomorrow either. Ultimately forgettable. Does she have a restraining order against getting within 100ft of an actual musical instrument?

I'm in no place to criticize the talent on display here, but it's a great shame that a voice like Beyonce's must be used for factory-dispensed pop music born of a desire for cash by greedy record producers. This album makes me feel the same way most mall music does; just existing in space enough so as not to distract me from my main focus.

Pitää seksistä; tekee kekseliästä poppia. Henkilökohtaisesti en koe estetiikkaan mitään vetoa, enkä äkkiseltään kuule sen rajoja ylittäviä koukkuja. 2+

12/1089 - It feels like most film music to me: the vocals are the most important thing (Beyoncé has good technique) and all of the other surrounding instruments have to have no rhythmic activity (or repeat the beat with barely any variation). Some songs were more interesting to me "Haunted", "No Angel", and "Blue".

Really boring and repetitive.

Surfboard. Surfboard

Not for me. Boring

Album 660 of 1001 Beyoncé - BEYONCÉ (2013) Rating : 2 / 5 A bunch of trash songs written by a committee of men. She isn't even that great of a vocalist. I just don't get it. Production was alright.

True rating 5/10. Didnt really grab me, but not bad.

thanks to beyonce for she isn't in my taste

I wanted it to be better. I just didn’t hit for me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bit of a snooze fest this one. Not sure why this one is that on the list when surely Beyoncé has better albums than this

The tracks had too much talking, and I was disappointed that not every song was Crazy In Love. Also, it was too long. I'll also be honest I have always been more of a Kelly Roland fan

Boring

Not sure why she gets the accolade she gets, this was pretty mediocre

Beyonce' is more of a product than a person. The music seems so self-indulgent, more a vehicle to serve the Beyonce' image and machine than anything else. It's not my thing and not enough to make me want to listen.

Not for me I'm afraid - very afraid!!

Some of these tracks are strong, but they're too inconsistently scattered throughout a lot of filler to really make for a positive album experience. The opener, Pretty Hurts, is an overexcited hype track that doesn't really get anywhere musically or lyrically. The next three consecutive songs – Haunted, Drunk in Love, and Blow – are all fairly good, particularly the former, which is a satisfying balance of moody and upbeat. Drunk in Love's "goodness" comes mostly from its circle-of-fifths chord progression (think the jazz standard Autumn Leaves); the rest is pretty unremarkable R&B/pop noise. The highlight of Blow is easily the guitar-synth interaction. It creates a funky, danceable atmosphere. No more interesting tracks appear until much later on the album with the song XO. This seems to be the point on the album where Beyoncé figures out how to write a convincing melody, because three of the final four tracks (the exclusion being Flawless) have some of her best vocal lines – helped greatly by the melodies. The two songs Heaven and Blue, in particular, are a great one-two to end the album on a high note. Other general comments: As another reviewer mentioned, her music sounds almost factory-produced at times. It's really difficult to connect with the music, even while ignoring the lyrics (which are clearly meant for an audience I'm not part of). Nearly everything is artificial, sterilised, and soulless (ironically). I assume the lyrics are meant to be the dirty, gruelling, boundary-pushing part, but I wouldn't know, because I'm not a lyrics guy. This album has further convinced me that Beyoncé is much more interesting as a media personality than as a musician. 2/5 Key tracks: Haunted, XO, Blue

I have dreaded this day for a long time. I have always identified myself as someone who doesn’t like Beyonce’s music and music of this genre. After having listened to this, I still indentify as such a person, but I can tolerate some of the songs. But it’s not fair that it’s 1 h. 33 mins. - that’s just too much Beyonce and friends for me

There are a couple of really good songs but probably 45 minutes of fluff that does nothing for me and makes the album a real chore to listen to.

I was excited to listen to a Beyoncé album, after hearing about her for years. Welp, now I can say I’ve listened. It’s a no from me dawg, sorry. Lots of sexy talk, but where’s the sexy MUSIC?? No soul at all. What a let down. Addendum: Out of curiosity, due to all the Beyoncé hype I’ve heard over the years, I checked out a few of her other albums and they were MUCH better than this one. It’s not a talent issue, more a production/style weakness.

This was my first Beyonce album and it went exactly how i expected. I feel like there was a lot of auto tune happening. 2/5

I'd like to thank Beyoncé... But not for making this record. Pure product. Advertisement music.

I'm not exactly sure how to feel about this one. Obviously it's clear how insanely talented Beyoncé is, but this is just so generic and commercialised.

Very boring! Her wonderful voice doesn't support this succession of bad songs. Some are even cool and save the album from total uselessness. I'll leave two stars today

I'm still surprised how even the most massively commercial stuff is fully avoidable post around 2010. Streaming I guess, I'm just more able to curate what I passively consume. Never heard a single one of these songs. Don't think I've heard anything by her since Single Ladies. And they're all...fine. Haunted was vaguely interesting to be fair. But that is it. Everyone says Lemonade was great, and I might be missing out but... Finished now. Well that was certainly a record that I listened to. Don't think I'd recognise any of those songs again if they ran me over.

Was very surprised that this album had so much drum and bass. I've heard Beyonce's hits on the radio for years. Hearing some of the stuff between those songs, not sure if this is for me. A lot of R&B ends up being f*cktunes and this is no exception. I think she knows what it is, how to sell it. It was a lot more raunchy than I was expecting. Jay Z's verse on Drunk in Love is WEAK. His features are so phoned in for some reason.

She's a good singer and rapper but a lot of these songs aren't doing it for me. Not sure if I just don't get it or if I have to give it more listens (which I won't).

She is a great singer and I see the appeal but this is not for me

Starts strong, gets weaker pretty quick

Outside of a couple songs, there wasn't really anything that set this apart from other bland modern hip-hop acts

The only Beyoncé song I like is Beautiful Liar, and now I think it's carried by Shakira. I don't like rap mixed with pop, even though I like them separately. Would like this be more rap

Beyonce and Rihanna possess the same space in my mind, probably due to me hearing them at the same point in my life and thinking that their music was similar. However, every time I hear any of their songs I am starkly reminded that I like Rihanna's music more.

I am not the target demographic. It was fine, just not for me.

meh. Not a great album. Some of the duets were good, but this is not Beyonce's best work. Disappointing.

R&B styled pop. Not too bad, but dragged on a little for my taste. She can sing, but it felt pretty bare.

Not my jam. This wasn’t terrible but I’ll never listen again.

I’m sure she is the poster girl for Sex Sells. This is polished and expertly produced And she’s incredibly beautiful. But oh my gosh, boring as hell. What is it with this one note Album which is just all about sex and ooh, ooh and ooh baby! I did really like Haunted. A great Halloween dance anthem. Did I mention that the rest was tedious listening, dull as dishwater and I remember now why I don’t care about Beyoncé apart from the odd single.

File under "Not my cup of tea." I didn't hate this, though I'm not sure I really see the appeal. The production is solid, if often a bit unimaginative. There were definitely some songs that were pretty dope. XO was pretty great. Ultimately, though, I don't find her compelling or even that great of a singer. And for an album that's all about sex, I found it pretty unsexy.

did I need to listen to this before I die? maybe I wouldn't think about how I look when I wake up as much... but this contemporary R&B with electronic and soul music vibe she has going is a choice ?? she can clearly sing and there are some bangers for fans on there but not a huge fan... i've heard the visual album is good so maybe that's a better entry point for me

Sexy and boring at the same time. Which is an achievement I guess.

Seemed like an album designed for hardcore fans. There wasn't an easy entry point for me. Even the singles weren't good on ramps to the rest of the album.

For some reason, I just didn't click with this album. It felt too long and whatever artistic value it has was Beyondmé.

This was pretty bland - hook-free, and un-memorable

I just don't like this album. It has some very famous songs on it, I can appreciate this, and many people love this album and her, but I just always get a weird vibe with her. so boring fo rme personally

This was what I expected for the most part. Good pop songs with some hip hop as well.

XO is great but other than that not for me

Notforme. Bored me.

I've realized that Renaissance being the first Beyoncé album I listened to (in full) massively inflated my opinion of her, and she's just pretty good outside of it (and then there's Cowboy Carter...*shudders*)

Home is where the heart is, then she came home and farted. OK, some of the lyrics are catchy, butt she’s too up on herself. Beyonk (PLATINUM - styled in ALL CAPS) breaks down quickly and becomes difficult to listen to. The songs get so similar that it’s hard to discern one from the next. Until she brings in N Minaj, then it actually gets significantly worse. I started out thinking “pretty good”, as each song passed I was thinking “not that bad”, by the middle of the album I’m at “not horrible”, by the time it ended an hour and a half later I was at “that was not a good experience, in fact - that sucked”. Way too long, near the top of the 1001 too long album list. Even without Minaj the highest I can go is (2.3*s) and she just brings it down from there.

I was relatively familiar with a few songs on this album due to insane radio play but I never bought into the hype. The popular songs aren't really that good and the unheard of tracks are bland and missable. Her attempt at rapping is super annoying. Still I'm even more annoyed that she thinks she owns the moniker "Queen Bee." I expected more from this and didn't enjoy it overall. Even the song with Frank Ocean was meh (which is insanely hard to do).

I know she is a cultural icon and i applaud her female empowerment message, but i dont think the music stands up to the status This was overly long, overly produced and pretty bland. None of the quirk of Janelle Monae, none of the beats of a Lauren Hill or a Little simz. Just meh.

Drunk In Love redeems this, but otherwise not really vibing with a lot of Beyonce.

I feel as if I walked into a hair salon, for a long ass haircut. Stand-out: XO

Destiny’s Child and a Beyoncé album in the same week? FFS. Talented, yes. But this procured pretentious pop brand building vehicle is not for me. One thing is certain with the inclusion of this albums “short film”… Yoncé has a clear aversion to wearing pants.

Bland pop, not great vocal

Production value is unsurprisingly high but I'm not sure many of the songs justify the extended run time. Largely very slow paced. Drunk in Love still meanders on a bit but has a pretty good hook. I was about to write off Angel until a cool synth riff came in in the middle. I wish there was more of this. Rocket is 6:31 (!) long and unfortunately one of the most boring songs here. XO is pretty good, and the last few tracks are shorter, at least, but still so slooow. I might like this more as instrumentals, which kind of defeats the point of a Beyonce album. At least I get to skip the second disc of extra tracks and remixes.

The album opens okay. "Pretty Hurts," "Haunted," and "Drunk in Love" are decent tracks, nothing special but listenable. After that, it's a long, forgettable stretch of mid-tier R&B. Which is fine, but it's not a case for a spot on any essential listening list. The bigger issue is that so much of this album's reputation is built on her persona and the marketing stunt of a surprise drop, not the music itself. Even the best song here, "XO," is a cover. Strip all that away and you have a competent R&B album that a lot of people would have forgotten by now if a lesser artist had released it. It's not bad, but it doesn't belong on this list, and it's overrated, so 2 stars.

Beyonce is a legend, which is why I'm sad I feel obligated to rate this album this low(and on another note, I find it bizarre to have your fifth album as your self-titled album). She still did a great job at singing, but most of the songs were just "meh", and mostly forgettable. Favorite song: "Flawless".

sex sex sex sex

there's so much porn

I don't like pop music, and the best I can say about this one is that I wouldn't notice much if it's on. Don't think there's any new ground here for 2013. Beyonce is surprisingly awkward on this, lot of moments where the phrasing sounds so forced. Jay Z really said "I'm Ike Turner", huh? Sounds like a really bad move, especially when you're a guy who seems so unlikeable. I was just saying how I'm happy with having no idea what Drake sounds like, so I started skipping around before that one came on. I know a bunch of queer women who find something to latch onto in Beyonce - weird for something that seems so straight pride parade, right? But good for them, I'm not going to knock it unless I have to review it on this list. I'm going to try to review other albums I haven't heard when something boring comes up. Today is SNFU's Better Than A Stick In The Eye (1988): It's not a different world from lots of straightahead punk, but has some things going for it: Chi Pig was a great singer, and the band pulled off some big rhythmic shifts without losing momentum, very cool. The lyrics are silly in a way that's good, and they're more than just funny - sort of like sarcastic Kids in the Hall thing, alienated and making fun of the world but not falling into ineffectual nihilism. The Cat Stevens cover at the end is outrageous. 'punk cover of Wild World' sounds like it should be so bad. This one rules. ★ ★ ★ ★

It’s good in the sense that if you give one hundred skilled people a large amount of time and money to put together hit songs that fit the zeitgeist of the time, you’ll end up with a bunch of hit songs that fit the zeitgeist of the time. But here’s how disconnected from reality the finished product feels for me: Beyoncé references drinking several times throughout, and every time, my main thought was “I can not even imagine Beyoncé having a sip of alcohol and having a nice time.” A strange listen.

This album experiments with many different sounds and styles, but fails to exceed at any of them. There are good lyrics that are interrupted by spoken word interludes mid-song that feel out of place. This album seems to be on the list because of the popularity of Beyoncé and not the content. 2/5

It's a great example of what people mean when they refer to the 'music industry', but after so many unique albums it's hard to consider this one to be an outstanding stop

Quite enjoyed first couple of tracks. Some good production kept it interesting. If I could be arsed I’d look up the credits. But then it turned into a-typical my mans a hound and I’m worth better than that. Apart from the track where she wants a spanking.

A lot of T&A on this lady, and her daddy knew just how to use it. I must be an old fuddy-duddy for sure, cuz this is all about bitchin and fuckin. A lot of unwanted babies were conceived during the playing of this album.

Not my kind of music. Extremely erotic lyrics. It's always curious to hear how in the name of feminism you can be so explicit, but if a male artist was to write these lyrics (see for example 'Blow'), it would be seen as exploitative and misogynistic. It is a bit over the top, for me - and yet the erotica is poetic and poignant. Musically, it peters out a bit in the last few songs. Should've been more ruthless in editing out the non-killer songs? Not Beyonce's best. More of interest as a statement and a shocker.

I haven't listened to Beyonce extensively, and I am far from an expert, but this album doesn't have any of her good songs on it? There's not much in here for me if I'm being honest. The songs are all a little same-y, the production style is super played out (although maybe it wasn't when the album dropped), and the lyrics aren't doing anything for me. I guess I know Beyonce for her jams, and there were none to be found here. Nothing offensive in here, but I wouldn't listen to it again. 4/10

Oh great...an hour and a half of pop music. Slickly produced but bland as hell. If Beyonce the diva icon was not in your mind when listening to this it would be completely unremarkable.

Barely ever listened to anything from her before, and I feel like what I have listened to outside of this was better. Some of the lyrics were very personal and autobiographical (and not ridiculous like Drunk In Love), but the rest of the aspects of the album/songs I couldn't really get into. XO was the only song that stood out to me in a good way.

As much as I love pop and R&B, Beyonce just isn't my jam. More of a Kelly Rowland type of guy

Great singer, great dancer. Star quality when she performs. But the music really doesn't do much for me, unfortunately. Like other reviewers, I was a bit bored 🤷‍♀️

Not bad, but also not exciting to me

One good track is ok

I'm not a fan of pop in general, and although I know Beyoncé is widely considered to be wildly talented, I just don't understand it.

What's with the goofy intros. And what a surprise a 'pop/r&b' album from the 2010s that I dont like. 2010s luciferian r&b is way worse than 90s gansta rap.

meh. 2 stars.

low side of meh

Not my kind of music

It's.... okay... Not as good as some of her other stuff.

I used to be a big fan of Beyonce as a teenage girl, since I mostly listened to pop music back then. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of anything that followed her album '4'. It may be a controversial take, but I feel like she was at her best in Destiny's Child or while making pure pop stuff as a solo artist. It may not have been 'ambitious' music, but it was fun, catchy, and suited her best. With this album, she was clearly trying to become a 'serious' artist by breaking up with her pop starlet image, but did it truly work well? There are some odd creative choices in there—from her frankly unbearable rapping to some collabs that feel extremely forced. In addition to all that, the album is extremely overproduced and surprisingly poorly-written, considering the fact that each song has at least a couple of writers credited on it. I'm not saying everything on this album is horrible—several tracks have the potential to be epic, but none of them truly hit the mark. 'Pretty Hurts' is an incredibly catchy tune with a nice message, but it suffers from the horrible, outdated production. 'Drunk in love' is a decent single that gets ruined as soon as Jay-Z comes in. I'm really digging the melody and production on 'Blow', but what the hell are those lyrics...? 'Heaven' and 'Blue' aren't bad ballads, but both feel unpolished, like a last minute addition. I don't want to say Beyonce is overrated, because she's truly one of the greatest performers of her generation, but does she deserve all the recognition she gets as an artist? I'm not so sure. 2.5 stars

No thank you.

Just not my jam. I tried. I tried hard to listen to it all the way through. Just couldn't do it.

This album was decent, had some good production to it but it isn't my style of music so I had a hard time getting into it fully.

Pahallalailla.. Puolikeuhkoilla viekutellaan.. Heh...

'Pretty Hurts' opens this album and it's actually pretty good which caught me off guard as I wasn't expecting much when this dropped. 'XO' is the only other song I enjoyed but I guess 'Drunk in Love' is decent up until Jay-Z crashes the party. 2- stars.

Beyoncé makes music that I only rarely hear on the radio. However, I read in an interview that her voice and vocal volume are truly remarkable. So I thought it would be worth giving the album a try. I quickly came to the conclusion that the attempt was fruitless. It may be that the voice is great. But what does she make of it? Really boring pop with a lot of squawking. What do people like about it? What are they applauding for? I can think of a quote from Dangerous Loves. The tenor doesn't get applause for clearing his throat. I thought there was a lot of truth in it, but I'm obviously wrong, at least with Beyoncé. There is no zero rating, so there is a second point for the certainly great voice. 2/5

Bey has a beautiful voice but i felt like this album was a complete disaster. I couldnt follow what was going on in a lot of songs, they were not cohesive or well put together. No flow. Her voice, a couple of ok songs (better enjoyed by their 3eb and john mayer cover versions - mine and xo) and the remixes saved it from being a 1.

I think she has a beautiful voice and I do enjoy some of her bigger hits, however this album was sooo boring and tedious to get through.

Not as good as I hoped it would be, quite dull

Nope. Really not for me. The only thing that's stopping me from rating it 1 star is because I do recognize that Beyonce is at least a skillful singer. I don't really care for her personally. And I hate this forced global worship of her. But I can recognize that she is good at what she does. But this album, and her work in general just feels so by the numbers.

An album can only be good if you can imagine the writing process as a bunch of wizards concocting a potion with the eye of newt and wool of bat. If you can only imagine a group of businessmen in suits sitting around a whiteboard, that means something's wrong! The balance of the universe is wrong, the end is nigh. Beyoncé, you have doomed us all. "The Rot" approaches. (It's actually not that bad. Like a 5/10)

Not for me...

Popowo nijakie, produkt marketingu. Ale kilka piosenek nie najgorszych. 2/5

alltså inte är det medryckande... känns som att ja sku villa ha typ tre instrument till på varje biisi

Désolée c'est juste pas trop le genre de chose que j'aime bien mais en vrai c'est quand même sympa

Too long, not interesting. I expected better from Beyonce, like her when she was in Destiny's Child.

Not really feeling this one, no major bops grabbing my attention. It mostly felt awkward and weird (maybe I am getting old) but I don’t see what’s so empowering about being on your knees with your mascara running down your face. I don’t wanna get into manplaining a feminist icon but honestly, the “message” here seems all over the fucking shop to me.

It's nothing special about this album. Too many "skits" before some songs. Beyonce's "Self Titled" album isn't terrible but her brand of R&B doesn't break any new ground. It's an average album with nothing to write home about. Beyonce's done better songs. 2 stars for mostly forgettable tracks.

Great voice but just not my type of music.

Hard to listen didnt enjoy it

Fluffy cotton candy pop bullshit. I don't like it, but its not necessarily painful to listen to.

One of the albums I’ve been most disappointed to see come up so far. I do not like Beyoncé. So I went in with very low expectations. And for the most part, it met those expectations. It wasn’t anything special. I was going to give it a 3 or 4 out of 10. But then the last two tracks really brought it back for me. Heaven is actually a pretty good song, and I hate that I’m saying that. I still don’t like this album, or Beyoncé, but this wasn’t a terrible experience. 5/10 Top 3: 1. Heaven 2. Blue 3. Drunk in Love

please God take me now

Some of the songs a kinda hot but otherwise didn't do much for me

It’s fine for what it is, but what it is is not for me. Bubblegum pop.

Whoa-oh-eeee-ooooh-oh! There's actually some decent music hidden under the unbearable vibrato. But it is most certainly not for me.

Seems paper-thin in artistic quality. The soul seems hyper-processed out.

Honestly at first I was excited to listen to this album since I thought I liked Beyoncé. But after a couple of tracks I got extremely bored. Just not my things I guess.

just not my thing tbh

not my vibe tbh

4/10 - Rocket is so sexual, and it is not the vibe for doing homework. Most of the songs were not things I was that into. XO was pretty good though.

Was expecting better, this was all pretty generic sounding and kinda boring 4/10

Filth. FILTH. Absolute filth. Can’t get over the filth enough to enjoy the music. Stop normalising calling your partner Daddy, it’s weird.

Some decent stuff on here, though it doesn't feel overly cohesive with the way it dips in and out of different genres. Some decent songs, bit slower than we were expecting.

Not for me, managed 3.5 songs

" I can't wait till i get home so you can turn that cherry out".."He Monica Lewinsky-ed all on my gown" and "I cooked this meal for you naked"is one of the plenty alike wonderful lyrics you will listen in this Platinum edition album and 1001 albums is recommending you to listen before you die of.... hard on boredom i suppose. 2

it's a 2.5, at the back end of this in XO, Flawless and Superpower there's a lot of stuff to like. But to get there there's a lot of quite boring stuff, immaculately sung and produced but which does nothing for me. Other opinions are available.

Never been a Beyonce fan so I enjoyed this album as much as a I expected it to. YMMV Best Song: Drunken In Love Remix Worst Song: No Angel (Becuase-You're-No-An-Gel-Ei-Ther-Baby x1000)

2 - didn’t click with me

This is not my kind of music at all, and yet it was ok to listen to. It didn't move me much though.

The genre in which Beyoncé is evolving is really not my cup of tea, and I'm pretty disarmed to assess the quality of such an album. I gave it a try anyway and: (1) it's really not my jam, (2) I was surprised by the music that is not always some boring/simple rhythms, there are actually pieces of electronic music in the background that are not so obvious (and that makes it interesting), (3) I respect Beyoncé's fights and the way she uses mainstream music to push her agenda (she talks about feminism, racism, sexuality in ways that are not really customary in pop music). Not as bad as I feared, not my jam, but there are things to get out of it.

I never before listened to a Beyoncé album before. I get why many people like her music. It's not a bad album, but it's not for me.

First Beyoncé I’ve purposely listened to. I can see why people love her, it’s just not for me.

This was massively hyped when it came out and I didn't really get it at that point, so thought I would at least try and see what the critics loved and consider some of the themes as I listened: - Surprise release = no relevance when I'm listening 11 years later, so what - Visual elements = I'm just listening for the music, no relevance - Personal / intimate subject matter = is it? All of the songs are co-written and I just don't think she says very much of interest for an apparently personal exploration - Exploring sexuality = Fair enough, this is there. Some highlights: "Oh yeah, he's so horny and he wants to fuck" and "Let me sit this ass on you, show you how I feel". I'm all for a strong woman being comfortable in her sexuality but is this good writing? It's not exactly poetic - Great vocals = Agreed, she can belt out a tune - Interesting / innovative production = I suppose it has quite a lot going on, although if anything I find it a bit overproduced. Some of the tracks just break down into electronic sounds that don't really need to be there She was (maybe still is) the world's biggest pop star but I don't get much in the way of catchy hooks along the lines of Halo, Irreplaceable, Single Ladies which are great songs. In conclusion, despite my best efforts, I still don't get this

Misses the mark with me. Tried to listen with fresh ears but I just didn’t really care for most of it. But I really liked the song Rocket.

Nothing out the ordinary really.

I'm sure these songs are fun live, with a heavy dance bass and Beyonce being Beyonce - but I can't get into it here. I'm generally not a fan of her voice, and the rapping makes me cringe.

Unpopular opinion - I cannot get into Beyoncé's music. The lyrics are corny and no matter what style is included - rap, hip hop, soul, r&b - its all mediocre.

Important, no doubt. Just not my taste

While I have a slightly deeper appreciation for her talents, I still don’t get the big deal about Beyonce. This is nothing special, just conventional R&B. I think there are much better singers out there too. There are some falsetto sections on a few songs that frankly don’t sound great vocally. “Haunted” is the only song on here I found interesting.

Never would have listened to before and from the start was grating and repetitious and without real musical value. IMO a couple of songs had some merit and the voice is beautiful, so 2 stars

Not sure what all the fuss is about

Songs are too long

Not to my taste and assume it's aimed at people that buy one album a year because they don't really know what they like.

Great voice and production. But is seems to be a collection of non-songs that rely on voice/production to do the heavy lifting. Sorry Bey. No for me

As far as pop artists go, I tend to hold Beyoncé in fairly high regard. She's undoubtedly come out with some bangers in the past, but this record didn't set me alight. Maybe it's the lyrical subject matter (it should've been called Beyoncé - BEYONCÉ FUCKS). I'm all for sexual expression, but I don't particularly need to hear about having her cherry turned out. Almost every track seems to be about getting it on. And when I release an album about knocking one out at every available opportunity, suddenly it's 'problematic' and 'gross'. Double standards. Favourite tracks: Haunted, Drunk in Love, Rocket, Heaven.

The album started off okay, and kept me interested for a few songs in anticipation of some really good tracks, but as the album went on I slowly realised there was not going to be a single track on this that I would actually like. Clearly a talented singer, and the production sounds like someone put in some effort, but the songs simply don't work for me.

Like someone else said, I don't know how you can throw so much at an album and have it do pretty much nothing special? Beyonce at her big and bold best is magnificent but this doesn't get anywhere near to that.

This really washed over me. Probably not in the right state for this sort of music at the moment, but it didn't really do anything for me. It's just quite boring - impressive that it's this short of ideas despite having so many people involved in its production. There's not really a bad song, but there's not one I'd particularly go back to either. 2/5.

Pretty standard generic pop fare, but with some awesome booming bass. The songs really lack the great hooks you expect from pop though.

Not my type of music. Beyonces voice has become the template for female singers and it sounds nice but has no uniquness and sounds very bland in the long run. This came out when i was listening to more mainstream music so i was really surprised that i never heard any of the songs. I like the production more than the songs itself.

Not my style.

Oh fuck.. OK, let's get this over with.. Pretty Hurts - Beyonce laments the superficiality of society. The next time I see Beyonce court-side at the Lakers game without makeup and her hair immaculately done, I'll take her message seriously. Haunted - Beyonce laments the soul crushing effect of 9 to 5 work culture through the prism of a worker turned ghost, or something like that. The producers did a good job of creating a "ghostly" effect. Drunk in Love - Beyonce turns herself into a drunken "I have sex" meme, Jay-Z contributes a cringy verse. Blow - Beyonce is asking you to eat her out. Was one of the better songs so far, catchy and groovy, but there were too many beat switches, the bridge completely ruined the mood for me. No Angel - Beyonce laments her and her lover's imperfections. This song was painful. Partition - TBF, "I sneezed on the beat and the beat got sicker" is a dope line. Then a continuation of the "I have sex" meme. Refer to Prince on how to make a sexy song about sex. This ain't it. Jealous - Beyonce laments her role in her relationship. The lyrics seem to be deliberately vague and obscure. Probably for the best. Rocket - After lamenting her jealousy, Beyonce is back at attempting another sexy song. Doing her worst to knock off every Prince technique and still coming up woefully short. Mine - God this song is too long. XO - No idea what this song is supposed to be about. Random generic lines strung together over a generic pop beat. ***Flawless - Beyonce laments the role of women in society. The exert from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is the best part. Superpower - Admittedly Beyonce and Frank harmonizing sounds pretty good. Heaven - According to Genius, Beyonce laments the loss of her first child due to miscarriage. A legitimately sad and personal song. Blue - Beyonce writes the most generic song possible for her daughter, repeating the phrase "hold on" countless times in multiple ways. There.. I listened.. two laments out of five

2+ pretty hurts, heaven, blue

My first reaction. AN HOUR AND A HALF? JayZeesus My second reaction. I wonder if Beyoncé fans are as cult-y as swifties are. Actual thoughts about the music. I'm not the target audience here but I can see the appeal. I enjoyed it as a one time listen, and she clearly has a great voice. Some of the songs have catchy pop vibes but not enough for me to go back to it. I think she might be a touch overrated but don't tell the die-hard fans that lmao Standouts: Blow - particularly liked the muted guitar riff Rocket

She's a embarrassing hornball

Niet voor mij. Te gelikt.

not really enjoyiong this

Not a big pop fan

This was just shit. I think I expected more and was let down, but I disliked it all.

No thank you

How did this get on the list...? It's okay I guess, seems overproduced and somehow all over the place at the same time.

This album is dumb.

Feels like the whole album is one or a couple of songs. A few songs (mostly popular ones) are ok to listen but listening to the whole album was not too easy. 2.5/5 -S didnt like it -A

I don’t mind singing along to Beyoncé on the radio. I did listen to ‘Renaissance’ and I could understand the critical acclaim surrounding it, given that it utilised forms of house music in order to pay homage to Black and queer musicians. ‘Lemonade’, while I have never heard it, seems to have good lyricism, judging from what critics say. Yet, I cannot understand how the rest of her albums generate so much acclaim, appearing on end-of-decade lists! The same goes for Taylor Swift. They make basic pop music, not really pushing anything or being too original, but because both are superstars they also receive acclaim. Thus, I listened to this album, but it didn’t change my opinion. It’s basic white girl 2010s pop. Enough said. (I must say that Beyoncé and Taylor Swift deserve recognition for becoming so famous. Good for them. However, that doesn’t mean all their music is fantastic). This is genuinely one of the albums I regretted listening to. For that reason, it gets 2 stars (not one because it’s not THAT bad. I’m sure if I was attracted to women I would enjoy it way more).

It’s not you, it’s me.

I may of liked it you woulda put less songs on it. Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

It's fine. Didn't hate it, but I don't see myself ever coming back to it. It's a strong 2, but I just didn't like it enough for a low three. The length doesn't really help either. My favourite song was Partition.

I liked the first few songs and the last few songs

I don't get Beyoncé. She can sing. We've known that since her mother selected her for advancement over her sister and the other Child of Destiny. Nevertheless, she falls into some sort of Kardashian level of fame where all I hear is how great Beyoncé is and it doesn't resonate for me. So should her epynonimous album be considered a must listen? To me, no.

Realmente acha que para curtir com essa moça, algum hit em singles é o que vale.

Not very into it, very little of interest in the arrangements and so many songs just dragged long past the point they should.

2.5. I only really like Beyoncé’s popular stuff, the rest of it just isn’t that great to me so a whole album just ends up being bland.

Overrated and boring.

Heard "Irreplaceable" over the weekend. I may be a simple man, but I'll take that again over anything on this record. I have no doubt this is a mature outing and does some deconstructing of pop/soul/hip-hop/etc. It's probably even much more rewarding upon multiple listens. But I'm not really looking for that out of this type of music and this good of a voice. Bring me the songs that make me want to sing along with you. Not sure that was accomplished much here, nor do I really think it was even the intent.

On so I'm for sure not in the majority with this one but damn I don't get Beyonce. She has a nice voice but nothing else has any kind of appeal for me. It's just too popcorn nothingness. The music's good she's good but as a whole it's so unmemorable. I skipped the bonus material but the og album had nothing I could recall and I finished 2 minutes ago. It's not bad but I won't hit up the queen bee unless she has another one on here. Bye Felicia 2*

PREFS : Pretty Hurts, Haunted, XO, Blue MOINS PREF : ***Flawless

Shockingly poor, I'm sure she has a great voice but this doesn't show it, the song with Jay Z is terrible, it almost feels like if AI generated r&b. Many more talented artists who fit a similar genre should be included before this trash.

I pretty miserable experience. I've never liked Beyonce, and I still don't. I find her voice annoying, and her singing to be insufferable. She's also a bad person! I've had the misfortune of being friends with (and married to!) lots of Beyonce fans, so it's not an issue of lack of exposure. I tried to give this a chance (and I did listen to every single track on this 90+ minute masturbatory odyssey) and it's just not for me.

I read that this is a visual album so I tried watching the music videos but got bored to death. They're well done but a snooze in the long run. So I listened to the album instead. It's not much better. I hated the Drake and Frank Ocean track. The best track on the album is ***Flawless. The rest is boring over-produced pop.

I dunno, it just sort of goes on. Meanders thither the yonder, rambles a bit, then the production picks up before it abates for a bit more blather. I dunno. Not me really to bae honest

Look, I see why it's liked. The music production is good not great. But man do I just not care for her for some reason.

please generate me some metal albums

Look, I understand how popular she is and how she’s the new ‘queen of pop.’ That being said I’ve just never been able to connect with her songs at all. A very boring ‘meh’ album to me.

⭐️Partition

I didn't need to hear this.... not for me. Not horrible, but not for me. Most tolerable songs: Heaven, Blue 2.5

5 stars for the song "Flawless" alone. 4 for "Heaven." Rest of the album, meh.

Don't care

4/10 really not for me I guess it’s good? I think Beyoncé is kind of a total piece of shit and these songs are laughably cringey, both in lyrics and production

Oh, the drama.

I can’t do what she does with her voice. But I still don’t think it sounds…good.

That's a no from me. She has a good voice, but damn is it overproduced and soulless. Couldn't get myself to finish it all the way through.

better than i thought but some of these songs are crazy annoying

Pop by committee...

My expectations were low and I’m still disappointed

“not my bag baby” - Austin Powers. 2/5

Some great songs on here (Partition, **Flawless) and lots of playful, sexy, woman-centered and reflective themes. As incredible as Beyoncé's voice is though, so many of these songs fell flat for me. I'll stick to enjoying her hits as they come up on the radio or in playlists.

I can appreciate why people like it but it isn't for me, chief

this might be the best beyonce album, but that doesnt mean its good. well, because it isnt. i dont like how she sings or raps or makes commercial and vapid statements about empowerment. fuck this bloates corpse of an album and the 1000 engineers who produced it (if the beats good, its bc someone else did the work). fuck billionaires. and fuck bey n jays hilariously empty billionaire philanthropy product placement tripe.

While I appreciate the Beyonce is the best thing in the world ever ever, I just think all of her music sounds the same.

Having never listened to any Beyoncé I can confidently say I don't need to again

I don't understand the hype around Beyoncé. It's not my type of music and I never listened to it properly. I now understand why... Overall, I did not enjoy it, but I give an extra star, because not all songs were really bad.

I think there was one song where I thought "OOh, I kinda like this" besides that it's kinda meh for me

Not a fan. Can't feel any heart in the music and lacks cohesion. Feels like 90 minutes of trying to sound badass

It's good, but not mostly. Either way I don't want to hear it. It sounds like radio.

I can't do the mainstream pop.

I've never got the Beyoncé hype. The hype makes me give this rating. Agree with the other reviews about product not person.

Just not for me

I guess I didn't expect this to be so... boring. Everything felt over-produced, and based on how much critics liked this, I expected something groundbreaking, but ground never broke. I've never been one to listen to Beyonce, and I can see that was the right decision.

Way too long. The only measure for rating each song is how catchy it is because their is not much else to say. Obviously it’s very influential. Mine was the best song and superpower was second. 2.5/10

I actually don't mind Beyonce but I didn't feed these songs particularly catchy, not her best

I mean it’s alright! Flawless remix w Nicki, Drunk in Love w Ye, and Superpower were my favorites from the album. Other than that I felt the album wasn’t mixed well on a few songs with the bass overpowering Queen B’s vocals

I was let down tbh. I was expecting some sort of pop hits or something I could vibe to, but most of it was kinda lame hip-hop/r&b talking about sex or something. According to the wikipedia she did receive some backlash for the sexual content. Meh overall.

I checked out halfway through. It’s not bad music, but it’s not my style at all.

I liked Rocket. i liked Flawless. Take or leave the rest. She’s a talent, but this stuff does nothing for me.

It's a huge evolution that we see on this album against the Destiny's Child album heard recently. And, I appreciate the changes. It's clear that Beyonce grew as an artist between the two albums. That said, songs like 'Rocket' still sound like they are in church, and I really dislike that vocal style. Overall, not for me, but maybe the next one??

Music as product. We're all just consumers and stuff like this is the latest toothpaste being marketed to us.

I know that this particular style of mainstream pop/soul/hip-hop/rap has been extremely popular since the beginning of the century, but I just can't ... I'm sorry, no. Nothing that remotely speaks to me here. 1.5/5

Beyonce is an amazing singer but I can't really say I enjoyed listening to this album. It's clear from the credits a lot of work went into the production. There are some genres of music that just don't resonate with me and I'm probably not the target market anyway. To me it's feels a bit like music for Barbie and Ken. A bit plastic, ya know? Doesn't necessarily mean it's bad music, it's just not my "cup of tea".

I tried and I tried just couldn't get there.

I don’t really know what to say about this album. I didn’t really have many feelings about it. The middle part of the album felt like all the songs have been about sex, which is fine, but it’s definitely not for me. I’m more interested in the beats and backing music, but even then, I’m finding myself bored. The emphasis has been placed on the words and the vocals; while the vocals are really pretty and her voice is great, the words don’t resonate with me at all. Favorite track: Blue

This is a weird one for me. Beyonce's music is undeniably popular for nothing short of her amazing voice, powerful lyrics, and her magnetic personality, but this album doesn't speak to me. It's good and all, but I feel like I will never be coming back to this. It should be of note that I really don't like songs about love or sex. They really have to do something creative for me to like it, but this doesn't really do that. Partition almost does that, but falls flat. I think this album suffers from the Kanye-effect, where an artist kind of stagnates and puts out a bunch of mid songs with production that just seems a bit off, but people still go wild for them (see MBDTF for more). So I have a lot of conflicting opinions about this album. I get its popularity, but I just really do not vibe with it. Something is off about it. Also the extreme sexual detail makes me deeply uncomfortable (this applies to other artists as well, but there's something here that puts me off more so). This album has spectacular vocal performances, and mostly-great production, but it's just not for me. Highlights: 2, and 14.

Meh. Not for me.

Óbærilega leiðinleg plata

Boring. Just didn't do anything for me. Good background music. Good, but way over rated.

2/5 I was expecting something better...

I don't know if I've heard more than three or four songs from Beyoncé. I definitely have not listened to a whole album. This album was not for me. The music was fine in general, but I'm not the expected audience. Several of the tracks have lyrics that push this music further away from me. The best tracks were okay, and there are so many tracks that I did NOT like. I haven't written off Beyoncé completely, but I would not recommend this album to others.

very clearly talented but I just don't get Beyonce last tracks are a bit better though 2.5

Disappointing. I tried to like it but it's just not my thing. She has a great voice and some of her solo songs are ok. But all her collaborations are unlistenable.

Ich will einfach immer weiter schalten...aber sind schon auch gute Nummern... ... Abbruch, sorry

Went in objective as I could as I knew I wasn't a fan but she'd had good tunes in the past, started interestingly with an acapella song that seemed to imply this would be something different, however it quickly descended into modern rnb-pop with no stand out song.

Juustune pop, peaeagu jäin magama.

I'm not sure I was the target demographic for this album? I didn't really like it much, but something tells me it wasn't made for 19 year old nerdy guys. I didn't really hate it though. There were some pretty good features. But mostly, yeah, not for me. I'd give it 2.5 if I could, but I'm rounding down because pretty much all of the songs were too long

First song was great... the rest had a few parts of tracks here and therr but it's a big nope from me

It’s Ight

-Honestly not a lot of interesting stuff happening. Some good singing on some songs, but most of the beats were pretty boring. "Partition" was the most interesting

Who decided THIS should be the Beyonce album they put on this list?? I think Beyonce is extremely talented, her voice is unmatched in many ways and it's heavenly. She is a a true artist, and good for her she made an album mostly about sexy times more power to queen Bey! HOWEVER, there are just too many people (writers, producers, contributors, artists) who worked on this album in my humble opinion. I only want to hear Bey's voice and what she has to say, not all these other jokers with their mismatch of styles and inputs. SOZ.

Actually didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would. Like 2 songs on here I think are bangers. Cannot STAND the one with Drake. Some were quite samey

some interesting stuff but not enough tunes. Bit all over the shop.

Not a Beyoncé person, but could see why people like it.

Bwoah.

Good relaxing album

Fine, just not my cup of tea

I quite liked Lemonade but this is actively bad; I'm really hating this more than anything else on this list so far. Except maybe Pet Shop Boys.

To be honest, I don't think I could name a single Beyonce song (and I don't care, sue me) and have never heard any of the songs on this album as far as I know. Well, now I guess I have that experience and never need to listen to her again. Some of the songs were unobtrusive and totally fine in the background and I do think that she's a skilled and versatile singer. But some of the other songs were extremely annoying and I had to skip them halfway though.

Beyonce's autotuned voice sounds atrocious on nearly every track. The only songs worth a second listen are Partition due to its tight drum beats and the Drunk In Love Remix with Kanye. Maybe I was not in the mood while listening to this, though I dont think I ever will be. 2/5.

Not for me

Generic pop garbage. 1/10

Nunca en toda mi vida voy a entender como alguien puede escuchar este tipo de """"artistas"""", hay un molde en el que está esta mina que hacen todos la misma música de mierda, pero sobre todo totalmente insulsa y aburrida

A billionaire who is married to another billionaire.

I didn't really enjoy this. I'm not mad at it - if anything I'm a bit surprised how little I liked it - but ultimately I could not get into it at all. It didn't hold my attention, I didn't even particularly enjoy the majority of the singles. XO was alright, but I don't really want to listen to it again. I don't dislike Beyonce's voice, but it feels wasted on these tracks. This would get a 1.5 in a different marking system, but as it is: 1/5

I honestly can't stand Beyonce and I don't get the fascination. This album is particularly awful.

Can't stand her music

favs: haunted drunk in love ***flawless standing on the sun remix rating 1/5

I didn't have super high expectations for this, but I was a little surprised that I liked it even less than I'd imagined I would. I'm trying to think what to say about it; what I've come up with is: it's not very musical, and/or it's not very interesting, musically -- neither melody, nor rhythm. Also, weirdly lacking in energy? I figured it'd probably be good enough for at least 2 stars, but I was wrong: 1 star.

Tak toto nie je pre mňa ...

Exhausting album, both in terms of its length and the content within. I just could not give a shit about this generic pop slop that offers me nothing new or interesting. Maybe the most I've wanted to skip an album.

Beyoncé is the most overrated artist in history. I don't understand how, other than a successful marriage to a billionaire rapper, her popularity is due. Take this album, for example. What's the most important thing in pop music? For a song to stick in your head after listening, for you to hum it automatically. There's not a single song like that here. Not a single memorable line, not a single melody, no interesting arrangements, no strong vocals — nothing! The only noteworthy aspect of this album is its promotional campaign, or rather, the lack thereof; the album was released without prior announcement, plus a music video was shot for each song. They say this was a first, which is debatable. After the album's release, it was raved about by journalists everywhere, and Rolling Stone recently ranked it the sixteenth best album of the 21st century. Well, if Beyoncé was bringing me as much money as them, I'd put it there too — but as it is...

“Self-indulgent” is the first word that comes to my mind listening to this record.

OHHELLNAH “Music made by committee for hairdressing salons.” nah.. hairdressing salons hebben echt bangers.. maar dat is dit album niet. ieeee drake dit album cover lijkt op blackpink album YIOOO JOHN MAYOR COVER???? "I just found out that XO was a cover originally by Beyoncé… my mind is blown…" john mayors versie is echt veel beter....

dit album voelde als tijdverspilling van mijn leven

I have had it on and it’s nothing special - why is it here? There are a 1001 other pop albums that would outshine this.

If you aren't interested what was in Beyonce's mind through 2012, then this is total horse$hit

This album is a testament to the fact that "Queen Bey" can do whatever she wants. And you know what? Despite not being hot, or rich, or talented I can also do whatever *I* want. And *I* want to never listen to Beyoncé sing about her clitoris again. Thank you for the opportunity to confirm that I didn't miss anything by never listening to this stuff.
