A huge album

This is one that I've listened to before, of course. There's not much else that can be said about it that hasn't already. Band-defining, genre-defining. Re-invented Radiohead for their foreseeable future and basically created modern progressive rock. It feels sacrilegious to give anything other than a 5/5
Songs were solid and enjoyable, but it’s early Beatles, so it’s not going to be as good as their later material. Also not really a fan of how the instruments are like 80% in my left ear
It was good, but it would have benefitted from being about 20 min shorter
Fine, but really not my thing
It really just does nothing for me
LOVED the production
This album is divisive on a personal level. Maybe one day I’ll “get it” or maybe I’ll decide it’s definitely just gimmicks. Idk man
Exceptional album, but not quite as good as OK COMPUTER imo
Me: “Murderers can’t make good music” Hole: Live Through This Me: :0
A surprise and a damn welcome one
Growing up is realizing your dad actually has killer music taste
This album is so frustrating. This is normally right up my alley, but this album feels so undercooked. Rarely do things fit together in a satisfying way.
This would be a 5 if the whole album sounded like the first 2 songs. The rest is good, but the first 2 songs are real standouts. I really feel like I got click baited
Funky
An excellent but not quite as good companion to Kid A
The music itself was very cool, but I was not especially fond of the rapping. I did enjoy though, will definitely come back to it
Good but really not my thing
A pleasant surprise
Whenever I listen to this album, I finish a song and say “wow, THAT is the best song on the album” and then I listen to the next song and the cycle repeats
I knew I like Bossa Nova, but I didn’t realize I could like it this much
Surprisingly good
Why does Frank Zappa sound like This but Mothers of Invention sounds like That
It’s fine I guess
I think I’ve realized the guys voice is just not it for me. I think the song writing was a little weak on this album compared to the Suburbs and Funeral
Very surprised by this, but the guitar work is great
Tbh I enjoyed the second half of this album, but I can’t give a good score to an album that starts with 22 minutes of that
Surprised how much I enjoyed this
It’s cool and all, but I don’t know if I’d ever listen to it again
I’m good
Really enjoyed the vocals. The songwriting: not so much
75 minutes is just cruel
I think electronic music is growing on me
Surprisingly good
An all timer
It would be a 5, but tbh the start of this album was a little weak compared to how good the songs were in latter parts of the album
Tbh this was pretty hit or miss for me
As much as I enjoyed the production, I felt that it overpowered the song writing a lot
I thought I’d like this a lot more since I love Metal Box
Maybe this only makes sense to me, but it’s like the Beatles wrote a vaporwave album
😯
Didn’t really love the songs, and personally, the voice is really killing me
All killer, no filler
I just found it kind of annoying honestly
Really picks up in the latter half
The audacity to debut with a double album. The sheer gall to make it this good. Unfortunately, it has “Free Form Guitar”, so I cannot give it a 5
Off putting in a great way
A nice surprise!
The musicianship was good and all, but the songwriting and vocal performance felt a little like jingling keys in my face
Really interesting and I love the ethos behind the album, but unfortunately I think most of the songs are just not that great
A nice surprise
“Mushroom” was really cool, and that was kind of it honestly
Fine, but not really my thing
Very ambient
Was not prepared for something this good
It’s fine I guess
YOU ARE NOT WHAT YOU OWN
A huge album
Not even their best album
A lot of fun! I’d put in between 3 and 4
