This took me back, what an interesting first day using this service.
This was completely new to me. I had heard of her but had actually never really listened to her. I absolutely love her voice. The type of music isnβt my favorite. Still glad to have discovered her this way.
This was new for me, never heard of them before. It was alright, but clearly not my style of music.
This surprised me as I usually dislike country, but it was so classic that I just really found myself enjoying this style of music for once.
Not my cup of tea. First album that I didnβt finish. Just couldnβt.
not m style.
A surprise, I wouldnβt have chosen to listen to early 2000s pop. I like her voice and kind of enjoyed it, even if I donβt know how often I will return to it.
What a surprise.
I absolutely loved this
I didnβt like this, but Iβm glad I listened to the album. I can see how someone else could just love this. I think this is just not my preferred type of music.
A few songs that are really good, bit even though I lived this band when I was a teen I have to admit I did not really enjoy listening to this whole album from start to finish.
Another surprise for me. Not my style of music, I donβt listen to any hard rock, but I found this band to be quite simply fun. I donβt know that they will be a regular listen for me but glad to have stumbled upon this.
I grew up in the 80s, and hadnβt heard nor even thought of George Michaels. And letβs admit, the 80s were a weird decade. But I really enjoyed this, there are quite a few really good songs on here.
I like electronic music, and this was the first album of electronic music from this generator, and I just couldnβt finish the album. Not for me.
I listened to it and wasnβt quite sure about this one, so I gave it a second listen, and then started to get it and appreciate it. By the third time through I really liked it.
I was not the audience for this one.
What can I say, I do love Bob Marley.
A few catchy songs, but the album as a whole doesnβt hold up, too juvenile. Iβve outgrown much of what I listened to as a teenager including this.
I experienced this album as flowing from one end to the other. A great voice. And some great songs. Lived it.
It was alright I guess, just clearly not my style of music.
This was a surprise. First time listening to Iggy Pop, and so glad I gave this a chance, since I havenβt liked any other album so far categorized as punk or post punk. This album is, in a word, fun. Also, The Passenger is a great song.
Yesterday I was inclined to give this a 2 or even 3 for itβs weirdness and how funny it was to listen to it, once. But being real, I didnβt enjoy it, didnβt think it was good, I donβt even think track 2 can be called music, and I will never listen to this again, not even by accident. But he does get a point for doing his own thing, thatβs for sure. Iβm just not the audience for this one.
It wasnβt that bad. Heβs a crooner for sure. Listening with this on in the background was alright, until any lyrics caught my attention. Trite, weird, not good lyrics.
Takes me back. One of the greatest rock singers of all time. This was a CD I listened to on repeat when it came out, and it holds up.
I absolutely loved this, I listened to the album on repeat all day.
Classic fun. So many catchy songs. Loved it.
Delightfully weird, just what I didnβt know I was looking for
Some good songs. Uneven as an album
Love this jazz singer
I love her debut album. I still like this one, it just doesnβt compare. But it is still her, so a 3.
Loved the sax, and a couple good songs.
Thatβs one helleva harmonica, Bob. Plus some classic songs.
Nice discovery, a downtempo electronic album that I will listen to again.
Love his music. Love and Hate is my favorite. Hadnβt listened to this one yet so glad to be prompted to do so.
A couple good electronic jams that are so catchy, but a lot that are super repetitive and forgettable.
The negative reviews of albums here can be quite funny, and this one got some great ones. But I didnβt have the same negative reaction. Not one that I loved, but in the mood for something really slow and mellow, this fits. Country, folk, blues towards the end. Pretty chill the whole way through.
If in the mood for punk rock, this is pretty good.
Some good songs on here, I liked it.
Fun, an educational bit, and then music I never would have listened to otherwise.
I think I just donβt like punk rock. At least this was a short album.
I hadnβt listened to this in so long. There is just something about her that I love. Powerful stuff here.
I donβt know what it is about jazz. I either really love it, or I really donβt want to listen to it at all. This I loved, this was great, a pleasure to listen to.
This isnβt my favorite album of his, but I love him. You really have to listen to the lyrics with him, and doing so rewards the attention.
I had to give this a second chance, listening to a few songs again. At first I didnβt like it. But I came to enjoy the playfulness, and the vocals as well. Interesting for sure.
A couple classic rock songs here. Not my favorite band though
Grunge rock takes me back to my college days, and this is a great representative of that time for me.
A couple classic rock songs - gotta love Wild Horses - and some bluesy rock song I hadnβt heard before. Plus, I just like the Rolling Stones.
So great. Few singers deserve 5 stars like she does.
I can only give it three stars because I heard this was 3 hours long so I cut corners and only listened to a Best Of version. Which I liked.
a couple classic rock songs, otherwise not that great
This was a surprise, I didnβt guess I would like this, but I found myself enjoying it. It was fun, and it really held together, almost like one long song. Plus, Good Vibrations.
Lovely lush chill
Love this, good olβ Tom Waits. Vaudeville, carnivalesque, weird and wonderful. Voice like a leather belt soaked in rye whisky for a year then thrown onto a gravel road and run over by a line of big rig trucks. This is great, with some really great songs.
A couple classic 80s pop songs, but otherwise not my thing
A couple good songs
Iβve now listened to a few examples of this style of music, prog rock, which I had never heard of before. Itβs fine, even kind of interesting, but none of it grabs me as anything I will choose to listen to again.
I donβt listen to a lot of country so I was glad to be exposed to this. I enjoyed it.
Just a fun album to listen to, simple and playful.
I could not listen to this album. I hit play and then I was like, nope, honky tonk is exactly the kind of country music I canβt stand.
Not for me.
Can you separate the artist and his life from the art to evaluate it? No. I listened to the album. Billie Jean is a great song. Jackson was a monster. Ours is a society that gives celebrities access to whatever they want as if they were gods. This rating is for the whole picture, not an album in isolation.
A few good songs, plus Tina Turner just brings pure energy.
Some good songs, takes me back to the 90s
This was another pleasant surprise of a discovery. It was not what I expected from a name like primal scream and I quite liked it.
No to this style of country, plain and simple.
Another great surprise. I did not guess I would even like this, much less love it. Some great songs on here.
BB King, simply the best, and a delight to hear this live show. This will be added to my short list of albums to return to and listen to as a whole album.
Really good rock music from the late 80s. Looking back, most of the rock music I listened to back then doesnβt hold up. But this was really enjoyable.
A cool discovery, pretty fun to listen to. Ska is new to me, and doesnβt grab me as a favorite new genre. But still, a cool enough summertime listen.
Prog rock is new for me and not my favorite newly discovered genre. This was actually pretty good though. Almost a 4.
This one grew on me as the album went on. Some catchy songs, and an album I will listen to again. A nice discovery.
Not a very compelling singer. I did not listen to much of this album.
2-3 stars, on the fence. The music was not bad, at times kind of catchy. Whenever I would notice the lyrics they were not good.
This is exactly the rap I do not like.
This works great as a whole album for me. Another nice discovery for me. Hadnβt heard this before.
Just a fun blues rock album to listen to, one I am sure I will return to.
Good classic rock I hadnβt heard before
I just donβt like this
The reviews for this are mostly terrible. I donβt get that. While I didnβt love it, I thought it was okay for the time it represents, 80s pop.
Classic soul music, I loved it
Nice soul, great vocals, a solid album overall.
Not terrible, but I just could not get into it.
This was a fun listen. Often lighthearted 90s hip hop.
5 stars in honor of Ozzy, who just passed away, July 2025
Hip hop isnβt always my favorite, but this was pretty cool, good beats on a lot of the songs.
He can write some catchy pop songs, but kind of boring. And the other reviewers are right about how stupid the lyrics can be. Cars are Cars is simply the dumbest.
This was a surprise. I found this simply enjoyable and interesting. Folsy and jazzy, chill but not boring. I enjoyed how he used his vocals. 5 stars for the surprise.
Some hate Tom Waits, some love him. I just get a kick out of this music and his totally unique creations.
Yeah, this is just great to listen to all the way through
A couple classic songs, but not so much overall
