[[Living Room / Speakers ]] This felt like the beginning of the turn towards 'generic' indie rock anthems for them when I listened to them as a 19 year old. Today it fills me with a warm nostalgia. I don't take off points for the shallow lyricism and the one-note instrumentation on this one. Crazy that Will Butler was the one with a career that ended up having legs.

+ Early look into the Robert Smith's skill into composing an interesting album + Favorite Song: A Forest - Bland production fights the interesting composition - No real standout tracks -/+ The Cure is making better music 40 years later

+ Influential to modern pop music I'm drawn to + Production stands out for the time period + No duds + Leaves me wanting more

+/- Indiscernable vocals mask cringeworthy lyrics + Great energy/pacing + On a -6 degree day I'd take this over The Strokes - Their turn to more radio friendly hits means this is probably the last KoL release I'll listen to
