Surprisingly good

Curti dms, ótima energia, lokasso
Wow. So good
Great live real rock album, the energy really comes through.
Fun live set!
This was just SO good. This album is sheer energy. Lewis' passion and charisma really shines through, making you feel like you're part of the audience. Just so damn good.
Classic song after classic song after classic song
Saw him years ago at Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis and he was old and didn’t have the piss and vinegar he had here. Hell of a live album.

Rock and roll piano, I like it. Pretty short though. 4.5/5
Horrible, horrible person but my god was that an incredible 22 minutes.
This fuckin rocked. I think my introduction to Jerry? Guy has charisma out the ass. Thinking of hearing this in the early 60's and it must have been a thrill. This definitely stands out among the albums that could be considered to be more artifacts than relevant in 2026. Little Richard for example - to me this one sounds more POWERFUL and closer to what folks probably thought of LR at the time it was released.
Parking the bigamy, marrying an underage cousin, abuse and attempted murder allegations and so on ..... it's a lot to park I know ... but this is a great early rock and roll live album. Found a 22 minute version on Spotify which I really enjoyed. But I've had shits that take longer and we've established already that Jerry Lee Lewis is a shit. Then realised the actual album is about 37 minutes. Found that on YouTube and listened to the whole thing. Ignoring the context of the shit I parked earlier this is a 4 star album.
Sometimes you see another live album on the list and think, "Why did they add this? The artist has plenty of studio work." Then you listen to it and understand why. Jerry Lee Lewis delivers wild, almost primal rockabilly here. The artist leads a backing band, which can't always keep up, and no wonder — at that speed of the piano parts and the voice breaking into a scream. The tracklist is nothing but action-packed songs, punctuated by one ballad. No, this isn't rock 'n' roll anymore, this is the great-grandfather of punk rock! The main drawback is the same as with punk rock: the record gets a bit monotonous toward the end. And the album is recorded in a dull manner, with microphones placed next to the instruments, but that actually gives it a bit more rawness and energy. There's a version on streaming services with the correct title and cover art, but for some reason it's half the length, so search for "The Killer Live - 1964 To 1970" instead. The first thirteen songs there are what you need.
Great performance. Knocking it down a star because of the length.
good foot stomping music
Better than Coldplay
Énergie! JERRY LEE
Points deducted for jerry lee lewis being evil in the real world, but this still would've went hard to hit the twist to
Not going to pretend like I'm some old school rock critic who goes nutz over this but I gotta give this man his due that he can bash a piano like that with such indecency for 1964. Not adding Jerry Lee Lewis to the playlist but glad to spend this time with him.
Separating the man from the artist, this album is wild and tons of fun. Especially in the context of when it was recorded. It crosses over into cheesy at times, but maybe that's just because of how much time has passed and how much his style has been borrowed over the last 60 years. There's no denying how much fun it would have been to be in the audience for such a show.
Polished love performance of rock and roll. Short and sweet at 20 mins and very listenable
solid 4.0.

Bouncy, grooovy, just incredibly danceable abs for 64’ this has vibes that some albums today cant recreate
For a rock and roll album that came out in this era, it quite frankly rocked. He’s just slamming the piano at high speed singing some of the best songs of that era. I can’t imagine being in that era with this completely foreign concept of music and just wondering if Jerry Lee Lewis was dropped from another planet with Elvis. It’s too bad that he wasn’t the best guy, but this album was fun.
This is a live performance where Jerry Lee Lewis cemented *something*. This is rock and roll delivered with an energy that devours everything the genre usually is. Jerry Lee Lewis blasts through some jazz, blues, and R&B standards at breakneck speed, while absolutely battering his piano and singing like he's racing the instruments. Songs like High School Confidential take it far enough that I dare say the result has some aesthetic similarities to punk. It's sloppy, it's powerful, it's flying off the rails, and it's a blast. This is an early '60s live album that transcends the status of "document" and remains exciting to this day. This is a remarkable missing link between Elvis and what rock was at the end of the '60s.
Sounds like the pervert could put on one hell of a show!
Sweet sweet Jerry Lee
Another crappy person with a rocking album.
Peak rockabilly
herregud
I don’t love live albums 🤷🏼♂️
Fun! Very high energy.
3.5 - Classic Classic Rock
So many bops !
Me gustó mucho la verdad, unexpected
A short and sweet fun album
I wish, I just wish, I could have been at this gig.
I was prepared to diss this, but by the third track, the energy was undeniable. One of those performances you'll always regret never being able to attend, it's just a blessing we have this recording. I'm reviewing the music as I always do, but I have to pile in with bashing the musician. As I hadn't heard any of his work recently I assumed he'd died in 1970 or whatever, but no, still alive until 2022! I guess marrying your 13-year old cousin as your THIRD wife at the age of 22 was a bit too much. Apparently not for the authors of this book, though as that was in 1958 and this was released 1964. Reading the "Personal Life" section of Wikipedia, it's pretty clear he was a real rat bastard. Great musician, though.
Jerry was a rock star and at 22 minutes this was an easy album to like.
Hyvän tuulen rock ’n roll -albumi! 4/5
Nonce. Pretty good though.
I loved his crazy frenetic live energy. My favorite was "Money."
4.2/5. The Killer, showing why he's the killer. Great stuff.
Great energy, killer piano, Little Richard-like music, awful guy.
I've never been a huge fan of Jerry Lee Lewis, but I can understand why many musical journalists might consider this one of the greatest rock and roll albums as it was very quintessential rock and roll to me, with its rocking piano, constant and repeating beat, high-energy music.
Goodness gracious!
Well, if there’s one thing I do know it’s that this guy was just awful. Incestual murderer rapist pedophile racist… I mean this guy’s worse than Phil Spector! And that’s hard to achieve! I hate this guy and I don’t even know him! But can he perform? Well… welllll…. Yes he can. This album is incredible. Obviously from his performance I don’t doubt that he’s just the worst guy ever, but it’s certainly just something else. He has a gravitas that feels so awful, but that entire attitude is kind of what makes it feel so authentic. Like he’s just an awful guy, singing like an awful guy would, and it’s really fucking good because that’s just how it goes sometimes. Because just listen to those keys! Listen to the way he’s singing! I hate him! There’s nothing about this man I like! Except for every single song on this live album! And that’s just how it goes sometimes. 9.1/10
Good fun - classic rock n roll tunes
Take that, Billy Joel!
This was high energy and unexpected!
This is amazing!! Only reason I didn't give it five stars was because he didn't write a lot of these songs. But man, this is an amazing document of someone who was obviously an incredible live performer. I would've loved to be in the room to see this!
A very good live album of almost entirely cover songs. Minus a full star because it's difficult to forget all the horrible things "The Killer" actually did.
So much energy. Songs are short and sharp and feel on edge of becoming out of control at times.
I’m enjoying the live albums a lot, they are great for ENERGY
This was short and sweet, quite a good listen at 22 mins
wow way better than i thought itd be.. 22 minutes is probably my jll threshold..
I mean he fucking rattles through em. Maybe all gigs should just be 20 minutes all guns blazing, everything twice as fast as it should be. this was fun! I kinda get why all these post war kids went so buck wild and horny for this stuff tbh, it’s like you’ve gone from row row your boat on a wax cylinder and your house getting bombed in the war to pure raunch overnight
Very short but still enjoyable. A nice quick album. With some classics on there. Also love the Jerry chanting. Specific rating - 4.2 Fav song - great balls of fire Least fav - cheating heart
1001 Albums Vol. 0031: Live At The Star Club, Hamburg ============================================================ Introduction: Well well, is this another masterpiece incoming? The last live album I generated was quite a while ago....Okay, it was actually almost exactly thirty albums ago, but I've not been that consistent with this project at all. I listened to that album all the way back in November. I took a pretty significant break between December and...I think January. I remember it was while I was listening to Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth. Hell, I actually stopped mid-album when I took that break and came back without re-listening to the full thing....Yeah. I'm actually not even up to date now. This is going to say that I published my review on April 4th, 2026 when I'm actually writing it on April 11th. I've kinda just been letting my generation run without break for a bit because...I like doing this project...and I've gotten pretty backed up to say the least. It's fine. I'll pause it once my schedule starts becoming busy once again....Wow. I'm really off-topic, aren't I? Well, getting back on topic, this live album was released by an artist by the name of Jerry Lee Lewis in 1964. Now, like I said, I've generated a live album before on this site. That live album was actually my second generation and I actually consider it one of the best albums I've heard thus far. I believe it's actually the only 9/10 album thus far that I felt leaned more towards a five instead of a four. Anyway, the point is, I don't mind live albums at all. I've seen a lot of people on this site who question the inclusion of live albums or simply call them pointless....To them I simply ask "Why?" Why is a live album unable to be as influential or enjoyable as a regular album? What makes it pointless? Yes, the tracks will almost always be much more varied than what you would find on a cohesive studio album, but that's literally the point of both a live show and a live album. Look, I'll say it, you're just weird if you hold the opinion that live albums are pointless. Tell that to anyone who's heard that one Fishmans live album from 1999. Anyway, this live album in particular seems to be pretty well-regarded for the same reasons a lot of others are: its raw energy and stellar performance. Jerry Lee Lewis was apparently working the piano like a mad-man at this concert. The same thing can apparently be said about much of the instrumentation overall. This is actually kinda exciting to hear since the instrumentation from the last live album I generated kinda...blew me away at points. I think I even described one track as "eight minutes of the greatest guitar-work I've ever heard."...How naive I was then. Now, some people think that this album is so great that they believe it to be one of the greatest Rock and Roll albums of all time. Now, is that likely true? No. You've got some pretty damn big competitors to go up against to take that crown. Most of those opinions are coming from critic's statements too. We all know how reliable critics are. I'm pretty sure As It Was by Harry Styles was somewhere in the top three hundred on Pitchfork's top five hundred songs at some point....Yeah. Anyway, we'll just pretend that Pitchfork never did that as we get into this album and see how truly good it is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Track 1: Mean Woman Blues: 9/10 Track 2: High School Confidential: 8/10 Track 3: Money (That's What I Want): 9/10 Track 4: Matchbox: 7/10 Track 5: What'd I Say (Part 1): 8/10 Track 6: What'd I Say (Part 2): 8/10 Track 7: Great Balls Of Fire: 9/10 Track 8: Good Golly, Miss Molly: 9/10 Track 9: Lewis' Boogie: 8/10 Track 10: Your Cheatin' Heart: 7/10 Track 11: Hound Dog: 9/10 Track 12: Long Tall Sally: 9/10 Track 13: Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On: 9/10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Conclusion: HOLY! Seriously, holy! That would be my descriptor of this album if I were forced to describe it in one word. Holy! I mean, this album was seriously around a half-hour of some of the most impressive and high-energy live-performance songs that I have ever heard. It's just a half-hour of pure greatness...for the most part. There is one song where the playing exponentially is slowed down, but we don't talk about that song. That being said, the album absolutely radiates with high-energy everywhere else. Most of my 9/10 songs are great examples of this. All of these songs are quick-paced, have intense playing from pretty much everyone on stage, and yet manage to still be pretty cleverly written and performed. I mean, there were so many moments on this album that just had me completely shocked at what I was hearing simply due to the unbelievable amount of energy radiating off of it. Look, live albums are different, but live albums are undoubtedly great. Nobody can deny it. Anyway, like many people have stated already, Jerry Lee Lewis's piano playing is definitely the highlight of the entire album. He essentially just completely destroys the piano for the entirety of the album without any breaks in between. Absolutely amazing stuff and may very well be the best piano work that I have ever heard in my life. That being said, there's a pretty good variety of other great instrumentation you can find on here as well. Every song has pretty generic yet high-energy and profound drumming, a lot of songs have great guitar solo sections, and even Jerry Lee Lewis's voice just works perfectly with the music. I mean, everything here just blends perfectly to provide one of the most raw and purely enjoyable experiences I've ever had while listening to an album. Now, that in no way means that this is one of my greatest Rock And Roll albums of all time like many critics would say, but it is undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable listens I've had on this site so far. The best way I can possibly describe this album is...almost...it almost genuinely makes you feel as if you are in the crowd yourself while listening to it. I mean, the production is perfect so that it sounds enjoyable to listen to from home while still providing that sound that comes with actually being at a concert, the energy is so high that you kinda start to get that feeling that you're in the crowd of an actual concert, you know that feeling, and there's just an overall unmatched energy to the entire experience that I've never quite heard before from any other live album. It's just...undoubtedly great. There's not really all that much more to praise about the album itself other than what I've stated above. That being said, there are...unfortunately, a few problems that this album has. Firstly, however, I'm going to go over problems that I imagine a lot of other people have that I don't actually have myself. First of all, there are probably some people who do not like this album because almost half of the set is ripped directly from Little Richard. Now, I won't even lie, this is kinda a valid criticism and I can kinda understand it too. That being said, Jerry Lee Lewis and his band managed to transform these songs into pieces that fit the overall tone of the live show and just overall felt distinct from their original versions. This could be because of the major upgrade in production from when Little Richard's recordings were...recorded, but these covers still feel distinct and original nonetheless. Another major problem that people generally have with this album is...honestly...a really valid one. The lyrics are...honestly pretty bad across many of the songs. There are some exceptions here and there, but the majority of this album's lyrics are pretty bad. Money talks about wanting money over love, Your Cheatin' Heart talks about something as simple as feeling guilty about cheating, and the closer is literally about sexual desire....Yeah, not too great. Jerry Lee Lewis's voice doesn't help at all either due to how fast he sings the majority of these songs. You can't really tell what he's saying half of the time. That being said, and I would normally have a huge problem with both of these criticisms, I really don't mind either of these aspects too much...if I dare say at all. I mean, the lyrics blend perfectly with the simple, high-energy, and basic Rock And Roll melodies. Their simpler nature allows the listener to focus more on the amazing performances Lewis and his band are giving as well. I mean, if Money was like...let's say a dramatic ballad instead of a high-energy Rock track, I would likely hate it because its meaning is awful. That being said, this simple and bad meaning blends with the earlier type of Rock And Roll one would hear when Rock And Roll was much simpler itself. Basically, the meaning being bad and simple here...actually works in a weird way....Oh, and Jerry Lee Lewis's voice is completely fine to me too. Its fast-paced nature fits perfectly with the high-energy atmosphere...you get the idea. Now, with those lesser criticisms out of the way, I'll briefly get into two problems I actually have with this album. Firstly, the album is admittedly...pretty repetitive across its entire runtime. Look, the entire experience is great no doubt, but there are plenty of songs that feel as if the same melody from some previous song is being sampled. That being said, the relatively short runtime of the album definitely helps keep this criticism stay more minor than major. Secondly, the melodies on this album are pretty generic. I've stated this a few times above, but it felt as if a bit more could have been done by Lewis to potentially...I don't know...not make the melodies sound as dated as they are. I mean, Rock as a whole had come a far way already from the time that most of this set's songs were written and this live show was performed. Lewis could have undoubtedly changed the melodies up a bit to make them sound even a bit less dated than they do....I mean, this could have solved the repetition problem too...and...these two fixes genuinely could have transformed a great live album into a masterpiece. That being said, this album is still undoubtedly great. I mean, even imagining a live show that could possibly top the energy this one emitted is...hard. ============================================================ Live At The Star Club, Hamburg: 9/10 Song Average: 8.4/10
This was a fun album to listen too and there were a few songs that I recognized and loved.
Oh man, that was intense. They do not make em like that anymore
Jerry Lee Lewis was not a good guy. Unfortunately, many (or most) of the 50s rock n roll icons were terrible people who did terrible things. I suppose it's important to remember this was dangerous music made by absolute weirdos -- conservative, mainstream culture was afraid it would turn their children into psychos. So it makes sense this record sounds absolutely *wild*. This style of rock n roll was already pretty old by 1964 -- of course, the Star Club was where the Beatles cut their teeth and Beatlemania was already in full force when JLL recorded this concert. Nevertheless, you can tell rock n roll's full power to radicalize kids was still in its early stages at this point. I've obviously heard Jerry Lee Lewis and I thought I knew what to expect, but this is a good document to explain how/why this music drove people nuts. I don't respect the guy at all and I wouldn't wanna get dinner with him, but I can't deny the absolute over-the-top musical carnage in this performance.
Ignoring how terrible of a person he was, this was actually a pretty good album. Really energetic and showcases the best of early rock n roll. Also it’s hilarious that after Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13 year old cousin, his rock career failed but he became a huge success as a country musician
suprised me
Lewis was a bit of a dick, but at least he was out there making music that wasn't Jazz. Understand that by 'but of a dick', I mean 'absolute cunt'. That said, the music is limited in scope and variance, but this is compensated by the boundless energy and furious performance. I'll allow this a Live album, primarily because Lewis was an important figurein Rock and Roll who came up at a time when albums weren't really a thing. Until The Beatles, albums were usually one single and a bunch of fluff, so this serves as the best example of his work - even if that work was a bunch of covers.
Nevermind the pedo cousin fuckin'. This shit rocks and it rolls. Sounds absolutely MINT on analog live recording technology.
Lots of fun. High energy band and good live recording
Great little live set. What a performance. I can only listen to the sound, but I can see them performing on stage just from the music alone. Rock 'n roll at its finest. 8 / 10
This is a great example of a live album that absolutely works. Live At The Star Club, Hamburg is packed with energy, kicks off from the get go, and doesn't overstay its welcome at less than 30 minutes long. Rockabilly, boogie-woogie, whatever you want to call this genre of rock n' roll, this is an injection of that right into your veins. Complete with the crowd chanting, "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!", what's here is a good time, no pretense required. Highlight: Great Balls Of Fire Lowlight: Your Cheating Heart Highlight #2: Long, Tall Sally
This album had such good vibes to it, from the thundering piano to the upbeat, high energy tracks. It made me happy to listen to. I love live albums as they capture a moment in time, a moment of music that or else may only live on in the memories of those who were there. There’s something special about listening to a crowd sing along decades later. 4/5 ⭐️ 72/1089
OK yes he married a child but have you heard him play Long Tall Sally
I really like this one. Rock and roll is just a very fun and energetic genre and Jerry Lee Lewis plays this so energetically and aggressively that it's hard to ignore the energy. The primary detractor for me is that it's a live album which I rarely prefer compared to a studio album. I think the same is true here. If I could get this same album with the same energy but without the clapping and screaming over the tracks I think it would be a 5/5 Standouts Great Balls Of Fire Hound Dog Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On 4/5
I had heard of Jerry Lee Lewis and knew of the influence he had on some of my favorite bands -- especially the early Beatles -- but I had never listened to an album of his. This is as raucous a Rock 'n Roll album as I've ever heard. With this, you can really understand why old people of the time thought RnR was sinful or awful in some other way.
Can very much see how this performance would be amazing live. Reading that bio on Jerry Lee Lewis was...interesting. Can't wait for the Netflix doc.
Music ya can’t sit still
Good
I think I finally get why the youngsters of the time were going wild for this stuff at the time (and why the old folks hated it). Faves: Money, Great Balls Of Fire, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On
Another "3.5" but giving it a 4 – rocking and rolling, really enjoyed a lot of the songs. Energy is straight electric. Is he ripping of lil richard or is lil richard ripping him off? I'm not sure. Ignoring the incest / pedo-ness of him, though
This album was recorded in 1964, Jerry Lee Lewis had to be well into his downswing by then. Jerry Lee Lewis vs. Elvis, The Stones Vs. The Beatles, Jodeci vs. Boyz II Men...always have there been musical rivals and ever will there be. This is a good live album, he's like the white Little Richard, and not only because he covers Good Golly, Miss Molly. There's nothing but hits on this album, Jerry Lee knew what the people wanted. It helps that covers were so widespread back then. Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On is his best song, no matter what Top Gun tries to push. That's maybe the shortest album on the list, all hits, no filler. I wonder if his actual show went longer and it just didn't make the album.
Fun live rock n roll album, back when rock n roll still featured a piano front and center.
Not usually a fan of live albums but this was great!
4!!
The age old question returns: Do we separate the art from the artist, particularly if the artist in question is dead? Well, Jerry Lee Lewis was a pedophilic deranged lunatic, but this is one HELL of an album. Favorite Track: "Great Balls Of Fire".
The energy of this performance is contagious. There are a number of rock n roll classics here that really elevate this one for me. I'd love to have been there for this performance. Tremendous playing and performing by JLL; he could really bring it on stage. Too bad he had to go and marry his 13-year-old cousin (yes you read that right....)! Top tracks: Money, Good Golly Miss Molly, Long Tall Sally, Great Balls of Fire
3.5
Rockabilly bee bop piano rock, right out of the gate on fire. Jerry is slaying the keys, crowd is going wild. I like the sequencing (even though I believe this is recorded from multiple shows), slows it down here and there to let the listener catch their breath. One of the greatest live albums I have heard on the list so far
An absolutely rip-roaring live set. Jerry's playing on the fast songs is almost out of control fast, like he's about to launch into the stratosphere. The only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 is the similarity of some of the songs, but this is pretty great.
This really deserves it’s place on the list its short so it doesn’t get boring, and it’s just a well performed collection of some of the best songs of the time
I can’t even imagine having as much energy as was put into this performance. No wonder this is how rock and roll took off. He sucks in a lot of ways as a person though, which hurts
Definitely a whole lot of shakin' going on on this one! This set is just absolute fire pretty much the Killer killing it! 9.2 ★★★★½
No features. No Swedish songwriters. No trap beats. 100% pure uncut rock & roll… And a whole lotta cousin-fucking going on! All killer, no filler… except when it comes to underage cousins. There is probably a lot of ‘fill her’ in that case. 4.5 stars rounded down to 4 for being a tad racist and also for the cousin-marrying thing.
It's a little hard to listen to the first song, High School Confidential, while realizing he was at this point on his third marriage, this time to his 13-year-old cousin who wasn't yet in high school when they married... Also, he only just died in 2022? Given the stories of his crazy lifestyle I'm surprised he made it that far... Lewis is a great entertainer, and his energy is infectious. I'm not often a fan of live albums, but this is a really good one. "She got ruby lips, she got shapely hips, Boy she makes Jerry flip"
Very short but full of energy.
Meth
Coincidentally just finished reading this guys classic biography by Nick Tosches. This is his famous live album which is energetic as hell, some of it sounds like proto-punk really. Contains some of his classics such as Great Balls of Fire and Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On, amidst rock n roll standards Good Golly Miss Molly and Long Tall Sally. Great stuff.
A frenetic run by The Killer and a super fun listen!
Even if most of this album is covers, can't imagine how much fun it would have been to be at this show, before it was common knowledge that JLL was an abusive, cousin marrying, pedofile, and possibly a murder. Four stars for the recording, a "burn in hell" for the man.
Need to read the write up, but overall I dug it!
A bop of a performance.
4/5 - quite iconic rock and roll
Jerry Lee Lewis was an original. One of the Greats. And this album is testament to both.
22 mins and not a second wasted. This is a great album. Fantastic energy in the performance.
I enjoyed this short album listen from Jerry Lee Lewis! I think this was my first time listening to an album from him let alone a live album. He sounded like quite the performer and the audience sounded very energetic and excited to see him play. I’ve always loved Great Balls of Fire, it is such an electric and exciting song to listen to. I had a great time listening to this rock ‘n’ roll album and would listen to it again in the future!
Listens: 2 Standout Tracks: Good Golly Miss Molly I think this is the shortest album I've encountered on the List so far, clocking in at a measly 22 minutes, but it's also the tightest 22 minutes of rock and roll I've ever heard. Jerry Lee Lewis is not fucking around in Hamburg Germany. I don't know Jerry Lee Lewis, but I have for sure heard Great Balls Of Fire. Now I can put an artist to a song. Neat. On looking the album up on Wikipedia, I've identified a significant discrepancy: The album is supposed to be 37:02 with 13 tracks, not 22 minutes with 8 tracks. Youtube Music be fucking up- or someone's fucking up. Not cool. I found on YTM a playlist of the complete album by a fellow 1001 Albums traveler. Shoutout to BEAT PATROL 2 for throwing together the album in a playlist.
A Pioneer who's career cut short by controversy way before the Cancel Culture of Modern Times
Great big ol firey balls
It's a joyous, highly energetic live album - it's great music, with tons of famous songs, and Lewis was a very charismatic live performer. It's a tad busy here and there but nevertheless it's a great live album, close to 5 stars.
This was an interesting little adventure historically. First off I'll comment on the music part. Quick, energetic, and flat out entertaining. Jerry Lee Lewis lives up to the hype he had in the 50s and could just rip on the piano. Now, the history piece, because I knew about his whole scandal with marrying his 13 year old cousin, but then there's more about how 2 of his wives died seemingly close to each other? And then he shot someone in the chest? Like holy smokes this guy is a key example of separating art and artist (like a musical Tiger Woods), great musician but absolute piece of shit human. So if I'm mentally able to remove the baggage he brings, this was a fun album.
Not bad for a live album. JLL certainly had catchy tunes. I don't love that he called a woman on stage and asked her to shake it - ew.
4 out of 5 It is so unfortunate this pedo cousin-fucker made such great music. Upbeat, toe-tapping, put you in a good mood rock and roll. Terrible human being; amazing music.
It's rock and roll baby
An amazing album despite poor recording quality. Makes me want to be a racist cop in a 50s noir movie who is slowdancing with the femme fatale who is only allowed to be a damsel in distress with this on the background.
WOW this dude sucks! However, unfortunately, this is a pretty bangin live album. I'm not the biggest fan of this style of music, but it's really undeniable how much energy it brings to the table
Jerry Lee Lewis was a pedophile who murdered at least one of his wives. HOWEVER, this also has to be one of the greatest live albums ever. I cannot imagine what kind of drug cocktail he must have been taking to play the piano and sing like this for over 30 minutes. If I was a teenager in the 60s I would be hiding this record from my parents. He rarely offers the best interpretation of any of the covers on here, but his intensity is unmatched.
Fast, joyous, and full of energy
Eigentlich müsste man den Typen auch canceln. Naja.
High energy good old Rock and Roll performed at one of the most integral clubs in the world. Leaving behind what makes Jerry Lee Lewis one of the most reprehensible human beings in music history, he clearly performed at an electric and enthralling level, and this is a great document of that.
Great balls of fire!
The quintessential rock and roller. On "Money" the laugh and the yodel cracked me up. Surprises were the blues "Matchbox" and "Your Cheating Heart" for vocals. The rest of the rock n roll banging was just that, rockn'.
Obligatory start to this review by saying Jerry Lee was rightly regarded as a terrible human for a multitude of reasons, but if we're taking all of that out of the equation and just rating the album...this kinda rips. Short and to the point but a bombastic amount of energy here, and it sounds like he's actually trying to physically destroy the piano. The hits are strong and a few others that I didn't know. I'm not sure how much credit we're supposed to give him for any musical innovation in early rock and roll, or if like Elvis he made a living ripping off lesser-known black artists (I think this is true) but it's a pretty great collection of songs here.
bangers
Surprisingly fun.
I was not prepared for the energy, the sound quality, or the overall awesomeness of this record. I imagine a video of the event would be even more exciting, but this is really enjoyable live recording of a not great person in what is apparently called his "wilderness" period? Great listen.
8 - GOOD
The further down on the Jerry Lee Lewis Wikipedia page I got, the worse it got. This dude was a real piece of shit. However, he really knew how to make that piano sing. The songs here all have an infectious energy that’s makes you want to get up and boogie. Favorites were What’d I Say, Great Balls Of Fire, and Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On
Lots of energy. Some classics some covers. Good 22 minutes of sound
Would buy
What a piece of shit - but he could play piano...
Amazing live album. Jerry Lee Lewis was something different.
Classic rock and roll, beautiful blend of instruments and voice
I love the fact that this is only 22 minutes long. Get up, do your thing and leave them wanting more. This is a blistering set, at breakneck speed. The recording makes me want to be there. I am never sure what to make of Jerry Lee, but this was great fun.
This sounds a little like Stars on 45 - HIT after HIT after HIT. And all under 23 minutes as well. It's a breakneck speed of an album that leaves you a little breathless. What Jerry Lee lacks in his vocal abilities, he makes up for with the piano playing. It sounds like the vocals of Donald Trump with the body of Jools Holland.
Shit human. Crazy energy. Would have been an excellent show. Little Richard would have done it better.
Kinda diesel wtf. Raw raw raw energy. I know JLL married his 13 year old cousin but like this rocks
Dang. Didn't really Jerry Lee Lewis was such a shit person before reading these reviews. Well that sucks, cause this goes hard.
Another one that's difficult to review as a single grade. It's a sensational performance, obviously, but aside from everything else about the man, there's the apparent reluctance to credit songwriters and borrowings (normal for the era, perhaps, but it seems like it was particularly black musicians that Lewis struggled to acknowledge). Token numerical rating here: it's a terrific live album but I'm not giving it 5 stars.
I am a big fan of classic rock and man was this album just a fun ride. Never a dull moment. Short and sweet to the point. The audio quality is pretty good and it made me feel as if I was in the audience as well. Solid rock album.
i mean the jerry lee lewis of it all aside
The energy on this love record is off the charts which is to be expected when talking about Jerry Lee Lewis. Fantastic choice showcasing the raucous brand of rock in roll he was famous for. Great stuff and we love a 20 minute record. Short, sweet and to the point. 7/10 Favorite tracks- “Great Balls of Fire” “Lewis’ Boogie “ “Long Tall Sally”
Incredible, raw energy. 4/5
This rocks
Jerry Lee Lewis is an entertainer. Plain and simple. So while his albums and the songs you hear are the radio are fun. Hearing him live is the preferred state.
My streaming copy was only 22 minutes, I had to go to YouTube to get the full 13-track, 37 minute album. An undeniably rocking and energetic live performance by a real piece of shit.
Really high energy show, fun to listen to, wish the quality was better and he wasn't a piece of shit
This live album definitely goes and if you listen to it in the shower like I did it'll help wash the stink of Jerry Lee Lewis off of you.
Tuntu ku ois paikan päällä ollu twistaamassa. Tykkään hitosti tosta pianon hakkaamisesta. Kovat hitit yhdellä lyhyellä lätyllä, ei turhaa paskaa. Täs on tultu lavalle viihtymään eikä pelkästään viihdyttämään.
Piano on lyömäsoitin siinä missä rummutkin. Vaikka itse kova CCR-mäen mies olenkin, niin kyllähän heidän versio Good Golly Miss Mollystä jää ihan täysin lehdelle soittelemaan kun vertaa vaikkapa tältä levyltä löytyvään tulkintaan.
pura cabilla, JLL siempre es divertido
Can't imagine how fun that would be to see him live with this.
A really cool cover album, hearing the classics like this is why I’m here. Woudl have loved to hear more originals, but this is one of the better live albums for sure.
He 'marries' a 13 year old, then on his redemption tour his backing band is the Nashville TEENS? Can't make that up.
While he was a despicable human being on many levels, he could sure as hell perform.
Favorite Track: Great Balls Of Fire
It’s difficult rating an album that is essentially a greatest hits album. Putting that aside and basing my opinion solely on the live aspect of things, it’s good. I could use more interaction with the crowd and using The Door live at the Hollywood bowl as the gold standard for live albums, this doesn’t make that upper echelon . It’s error free and filler free. One uppity song after another. It’s not disappointing
Really good album. Even for a live album. The man sure could play the piano. He must have been quite the showman. So despite his personal life, I am going to give him 7/10 rounded up.
This was a fun listen, whole lot of energy here. Nice and quick too so I'll probably listen again.
Wonder if the piano or Jerry are the mains stars of the show lol. Great every of music though
Great album! Loved his energy, performance and songs, would love to see something like this live
Fantastic. Real old school rock and roll
This racist, murdering, piece-of-shit cousin-fucker could sure play
Classic!
Lively!
It's a lot of sound - sonically Jerry Lee Lewis had a lot going on, add crowd noise, it's loud. But for a live album originally recorded in the 1960s, it was pretty good.
That was fun!
Good fun :-))).
A very short live album. I really enjoyed it. amazing vocal performance. Falsetto, grits, belting, all very good. It was recorded in 1964? So I assumed no editing? Which was very impressive. I liked your cheating heart. The other songs do sound the same, but at least they are all short, so was not bored. It’s like an old photo, it ages well and it captures the moment very.
This album is fun and full of energy. It all sounds a bit the same but it sure is a blast.
She was 13 Jerry!
Foot tapping and high energy rock & roll. It must have been a real experience to be a young kid at one of his concerts. Though perhaps not a young girl. I had no idea he tried to kill Elvis!? So he wasn't all bad then. 3½
Not my favorite kind of music, but I must admit it’s a fantastic live performance with an insanely festive vibe. The energy is through the roof, and I totally get why rock’n’roll was such a musical revolution back then. Most of the songs are covers, credited or uncredited, so no point for creativity here – but Jerry Lee Lewis revisits them with a very personal touch.
Highlight Song/s Matchbox, Lewis Boogie and Long Tall Sally Straight rocker, this one is! I love the stage banter, as any other good live album would have. You can hear all the cheers that infest the album by the rebellious people who are fans of loud music; alongside them chanting his name as if he was some divine being, maybe he isn't one but I'm sure the audience felt like he was one for the duration of the concert. A quirk about the album I find strange (which was probably standard for the time,) was he used the words Nineteen-Hundred and Fifty-Two to say the year '1952', where nowadays people would (hopefully!) raise their eyebrows at you if you said that instead of Nineteen-Fifty-Two. I'm glad this one had some swing to it as that's what I was expecting when I heard 'This Is Fats Domino!,' no disrespect to him I felt like I was kind of falling asleep with all the ballad songs, nonetheless this album is just a lot better. It was cool to see two Little Richard songs on here, I hope his album is good when I eventually get it.
Short and sweet. Jerry Lee brings the heat! But he was a kind of a POS in life. 4/5 #139
As a teen I watched the biopic with Denis Quaid and my brother would play Great Balls of Fire on the piano, so it was nice to hear. I also appreciate the improvised recording set up which makes it a great documentary. Difficult to judge out of context 60 years later. Well stiilvery nice to listent to.
What a rocky jazzy bluesy album !!
Hadn’t heard this. Solid throughout!
8 songs, 22 minutes. Sign me up all day long. It captures the energy really well. Piano playing is top notch. Yeah, from what I've gathered, he's a POS (but, spoiler, a ton of artists on this list are). I hope everyone that somehow thinks giving this a 1 shows their moral superiority does it for every artist and consistently ranks them.
Nice
Solid listen. A bit short and dated, but still fun!
Dope
very shittily recorded but very fire
What can I say? Other than I enjoyed that a lot.
This is an incredible performance and recording, but honestly it's more of a greatest hits than an actual album.
Great live album!
Rockin'
Album's pretty good, ignoring Lewis' insane proclivities.
That man was born to entertain. His style is definitely a little one note by the end but overall a fun listen.
Super fun and energetic, will definitely have to check more out from Jerry Lee Lewis.
Det var här det började. Håller fortfarande iaf som livemusik. Vilken rytmsektion! Fyra
Energetic!
Gotta seperate the art from the artist. This is a great live album from a sicko.
Fun
9/10
8/10
It was a real treat listening to this album. I have heard a few songs from Jerry Lee Lewis but I've never heard him live before. Not my favorite music genre but the energy I got from this feels great!
The Pete Rose of rock music. I didn't want to like or appreciate this but for 22 minutes I kinda did (and especially for 1964 the sound is great), then I felt lousy about it. 7/10 4 stars goddammit.
hrátt, hratt og gróft. mjög hrifinn.
I married my underage cousin. I really related to this music.
Classic after classic with multiple piano solos that are just the same chord played over and over followed by a key swipe. Oh to be in Hamburg in 1964 to see this live.
Solid and full of energy. Lots of hits. A good album, albeit short.
Rockin’!
This was fun, I was just getting in to it and then the album was over! So I listened to it straight through again. Lots of recognizable hits, many of which are covers I think? I find it strange to add live albums to this list, but I guess they’re important? *Edit: apparently Spotify doesn’t have the full album, so that’s why it was short. I’ll find the full length and give that a listen eventually. Probably won’t change my rating.
Fun. 3.5*, rounding up.
Hyvää vanhaa pianorokkia! Anna palaa! 4/5
Very fun. Enjoyed the energy and frantic-ness of the vocals. “Whole Lot of Shaking Going On” is the highlight. Strong piano throughout.
OVERALL: One of the first things I saw when I looked up Jerry Lee Lewis was that he married his 13 year old cousin. Unfortunately, this is really good, especially for a pedophile. Most of these are covers, if I did my research correctly, 10/13 aren't original, so he performed only 23% of his own songs and did 87% remixes. These all sound really good, which is super unfortunate. I guess these could be considered boring, but these sound great as an energetic performance and I bet that his performance was really good. Sometimes I find his voice and the repetition of piano chords to be pretty bad, but that doesn't really take away much. It's not supposed to be lyrically impressive, so I won't take away points for that. I will lower this from an 8.5/10 to a 7.25/10 for being a pedophile and unoriginal. SONG AVG: 8.327/10 PERSONAL RATING: 7.25/10 Mean Woman Shoes: Found out that this guy married his 13 year old cousin, so I'm pretty ashamed to say that I like this I think. Very nice piano, and it sounds pretty good. His laugh at around 2:30 is pretty bad though, and I don't like some of his weird sound effects. I guess the audience noises aren't that good, but that's to be expected. Very energetic. Also it's a cover, so I guess it loses points. 8.5/10 High School Confidential: Is he mumbling the lyrics? I like the instrumental a lot, but the long strings of piano chords aren't really that good. Gets pretty repetitive. I think I would like it more if it were just instrumental. When he says "Boppin' at the high school hop", I hear "hoh i ah oo ah ah ahh". Instrumental carries very hard. 7.25/10 Money (That's What I Want): A cover. He says diddy in the intro. Anyways, I cannot understand what the lyrics are saying. The high pitched piano combined with the really bad microphone creates a really bad experience for that one part. Other than that, it's pretty good. Lots of energy. 8/10 Matchbox: Okay, I feel like there are going to be a lot of covers here. I guess I like his voice and the instrumental break, but it's pretty boring. Still has energy, but it feels much less interesting. I guess it sounds good. 6.75/10 What'd I Say, Part 1: Another cover, but it's a really good song so I'm not really complaining. Great production and pretty good vocals, really strong overall. 9.25/10 What'd I Say, Part 2: What is he doing at 1:02. Other than that it's good, but the instrumental is a bit weaker than part 1. I like how it gets more intense and energetic as the song goes on. 8.75/10 Great Balls of Fire: Actually original I think. Anyways, first time hearing this. I don't like his singing at some parts, but it's usually fine. Lyrically, it's nothing impressive at all. Sonically, it's really good (except for when his singing is dogshit). 9/10 Good Golly, Miss Molly: Another cover. Really good, the instrumental is basically perfect and the vocals are pretty good. I don't really wanna dissect the lyrics at all. The outro sucks though. 9.5/10 Lewis Boogie: Original. Okay, I feel like I'm being very lenient with the song ratings, but I like how it sounds so I don't really care. It sounds like everything else, not very special but it's good outside of the context of this album. 7/10 Your Cheating Heart: Another cover. Sounds really good, combines Lewis' energy with a more somber, calmer song really well. Just really good. 9.75/10 Hound Dog: Okay, obviously everybody has heard this song before, but not this version. I like the piano, and Lewis' voice is pretty good. Less points for being a cover and also because I've heard it too much. 9/10 Long Tall Sally: Another cover, 9th cover so far if I'm right. What was the last line he sang. Pretty good I guess. Yeah, that's it. I don't really know what to say at this point. 8/10 Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On: 10th cover. Pretty good, but really messy at times. I don't really like it when the instrumental dies and it's just Lewis telling me to shake it or something. Also, I swear I heard him offer chicken to try and convince a girl to come over. It's fine outside of that. 7.5/10
Wouw..what a blast from the past! Love it
The energy is electric on this one. Its a succinct 22 minutes that had me locked in from front to back. On the other hand, this dude is an ALL TIME fuckbag. Pedo, racist, you name it. So... The 22 minutes I just engaged with the music were good though, so I'll give the scumbag that.
Love this one. Pure Rock and Roll the way it is meant to be. The live energy made this one come alive.
Jerry on kova, jerryllä on vauhtia. Kunnon rokettirollia. 👍🏻
I don’t like Jerry Lee Lewis or live albums but this was pretty great. I don’t care if it was basically just a Little Richard tribute act, that was live rock & roll at its best.
# Album Name: Live at the Star Club (Hamburg) # Artist: Jerry Lee Lewis # Rating: 4/5 # Comments: Plenty of people on here rating the spotify album version with 8 songs. The original has 13-14 depending on the version. Ah Jerry Lee, isnt he that famous karaoke singer? Forgetting the man for a second, theres some great piano and rock n roll on this album. I can imagine it would be great to see live. Theres some real bangers. You can feel the quality of this live show. Musically though, he is just playing covers most of the time. So for me, it does not reach that 5 rating. Music and energy yes, no doubt. I love it. But its not his material. Yeah the man himself was a pos. Absolute scum of the earth it seems. No thanks. # Top Tunes: Plent # Would I listen to it again? Yes
Oh boy, I can only imagine what the reviews are going to be about…Yup, the 7th most mentioned word in the reviews is "cousin." Anyway, despite the obvious grossness of marrying a 13 year old relative, I liked this. I love these old rock and roll standards. I don't really care for Jerry Lee Lewis' vocals and considering his past, I don't typically listen to him. But I can't deny that I love this genre of music.
Good. Dude sucks though
Pretty good live album.
Better than the Beatles.
Great rock and roll album, just too short!
Niesamowita energia. 4,5/5.
I bloody love this early era rock and roll. It's just so fun
How can a live recording from 1964 sound that good?
Punchy, vibrant, energetic - liked it!
This album had me wishing I could be a swing dancer is the 60’s. I totally would’ve gotten down to this. I loved the fact it was live. I also found it interesting that one of the songs was the original to one of the songs I liked most on the CCR album I listened to previously
Well it's all the classics live, so can't not be great! A blast of feel-good.
bro said "y'all chill my 3rd wife who's also my cousin is 15 not 13" great classic rock and roll album but wtf was wrong this guy genuinely. even more impressive when you consider this was live, must've be legendary to be in the crowd
It's an interesting album. I am very happy that it is on the shorter side; I'm unsure how long I can comfortably listen to a pedophile sing. He is awful and abhorrent, and fortunately, his music doesn't compensate for his transgressions. It still is a good album though. Fav song: Long, Tall Sally
While many have chosen to decry Lewis's many failings with respect to his personal life, it cannot be denied that he and his music are part of rock'n'roll history. This album certainly is an example of his performance charisma.
Bish bash bosh - brilliant
Jerry Lee Lewis was a garbage human being. That said, this is a helluva live album. The biggest knock against it is that he keeps getting ahead of his band and that a good chunk of the album is made up of covers.
This is a short performance, but perhaps one of the few times I will prefer a live album to a studio album. It is a particularly electric performance heightened by the feel of the room. It’s the perfect type of music for a live album as well, very little processing and a lot of room to ham it up and wail.
This was great. Love that hopping piano sound.
Short, sweet and iconic. Wish more performers had his energy.
A fine 20 minutes of music but what the Spotify algorithm fed me as a result was fire.
Possibly the most fun I’ve had listening to an album I had never heard of until now - imagine how good this would be live
Totally infectious energy. Very nice audio quality for being a live recording from 60 years ago.
Was hatte ich da geschrieben? "Tolle rohe Live Atmosphäre und Performance. Da wäre ich gerne dabei gewesen...". Passt.
Some of y'all are going to be shocked…SHOCKED when you learn that about 99% of the artists on this list have done something unsavory. Jerry Lee is in the upper stretches of that list, but that doesn't take away from what he did in relation to the birth of Rock-N-Roll. JLL was a great recording artist but an even better live act and while Live At The Star club can barely capture the excitement of his live act it gets close. Close enough that it helped create a template for how live albums were recorded and marketed. 4/5
This album is really great. Not quite a 5 for me but it's not far off it.
Short and sweet.
Sadly, 5 tracks are missing on Apple Music, cutting it down from 37min to merely 22min. Still, the power of this live album can be felt throughout. Many classics, we would say cover versions today, which was the norm at that time. Just look at the debut album of The Rolling Stones. At that time, it was all about performance, not original content. This recording is an absolutely fantastic performance.
You can smell the cocaine from this album just by listening to it
Fun, lively, direct, energetic. Maybe not the most subtle or sophisticated record ever, but you can really feel how excited everyone in the crowd must have been.
This would’ve gone so hard in the 60s
I think it’s easy these days to look at music from this time period as being outdated and maybe even irrelevant, and that’s often true at times for the studio versions from this era, but the live versions make a compelling case in understanding how popular music became so central for youth culture at the time. I’m not particularly a fan of this style of music, but when a song like Great Balls of Fire gets going, or the finale of Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On reaches its climax, it’s hard to deny your own feet from moving. The energy is still palpable to this day, and it’s easy to imagine how exciting this must have been to see live. I’m not always a proponent of live albums, particularly when it’s prioritized over the studio versions, but this is a great case to the contrary.
A very enjoyable listen that I wish had been longer.
Conflicted here…
Fast. Furious. I can smell the tobacco and beer. Would've been great to be there.
Jerry is cool
Pure oldschool rock ’n roll. Excellently executed. Outstanding live recording. Very short, very clean. Shame he was a POS.
Jerry Lee Lewis said, “Sit your ass down and listen to me kill it, literally and figuratively,” and MY 👏🏻 ASS 👏🏻 WAS 👏🏻 SAT 👏🏻 A near-perfect live album that oozes charisma as much as it oozes insanity. Normally, I’d say that the fact that it’s mostly covers brings it down a notch, but unfortunately, the Nashville Teens fucking rock. Normally, I’d say that the fact that I wouldn’t listen to any of these cuts on their own brings it down a notch, but some records are hotter as a single package, and this set is white hot. I think I’m just trying to find an excuse to not praise a crazed, narcissistic, murderous pedophile. Unfortunately, though, every so often, a crazed lunatic makes an incredible record, and this is still a great fucking rock ’n’ roll record, even after all these years.
Never heard this album before, but have heard all the songs. What this is also teaching me is what crap Youtube Music can be. Only 8 of the 13 songs on this album are included there, and they give no indication something is missing! But focusing on the music, Lewis is a great entertainer, and his energy is infectious. I'm not often a fan of live albums, but this is a really good one. "She got ruby lips, she got shapely hips, Boy she makes Jerry flip"
Such a pity that Apple Music (and YouTube) only have 2/3 of this album. It's so enjoyable. I'm not sure I'll come back to listen again but I definitely enjoyed it.
He played that piano like a drum kit! Within the confines of 60's rock and roll he seemed to take the energy to the next level.
Note: according to Wikipedia, there should be 13 songs on this album, but th e youtube music version only has 8, missing songs: 1 Mean Woman Blues, 4 Matchbox, 5 What'd I Say Part I, 6 What'd I Say Part II, and 11 Hound Dog. Wikipedia also notes the album was only available in Europe for a long period and I suspect US rights for the performance of these 5 missing songs is why they aren't available. This is a lot of fun, and was probably a ton of energy when seen live.
Impossible not to tap your feet to these songs. Loved the energy of the live performance.
Sounded like the only thing that mic'd was the piano but I can only imagine being in that audience. I'm sure some bands were started that night.
Quick album. Not all originals but fun somgs
So good!
So much energy. This was pretty awesome
Honestly didn't think I'd enjoy much of this, but goodness gracious me the man could put on a show. Full of chaotic energy. Jerry sounds a bit incoherent at times though, likes he's been possessed.
fun live album
That was a whole lot of energy, no wonder it’s only 22 minutes.
Pure rock and roll right here. Amazing raw energy.
Fire! Pulsing with energy.
It really doesn’t get more classic 50s than this and is pretty genius for this genre. I’m deducting a star for marrying his 13 year old cousin.
3.5 rounded up fast and hard! just the way i like it! highlights: high school confidential; great balls of fire; long, tall sally (nov 19 2024)
хочу выделить great fire balls, угарная композиция, напомнила something else, ну и long tall sally, господи, кто только её не перепел.
Jerry is one of the all time weirdos in music history, but this album is great. Makes you wish you could have been in the crowd.
Albums used to be twenty minutes long!
Can we separate the man from the music? Should we?
What a piece of shit this man was. Fuck him. This album is tight though
I'm not going to listen to this because life's too short. Instead I'd like to apologise to Einstürzende Neubauten for rating their truly awful album so low. I feel that was a knee-jerk reaction and that's exactly what they wanted. I still don't want to listen to them but I'm giving them ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for fully committing to their uncompromising vision. Respect.
3.5/5 Some jams on this album. It might be one dimensional but it does one thing well. Lewis has great energy. Mean Woman Blues 3.5/5 High School Confidential 3/5 Money 4/5 (FAV) Matchbox 3.5/5 What'd I Say, Part 1 4/5 What'd I Say, Part 2 3.5/5 Great Balls Of Fire 4/5 Good Golly, Miss Molly 4/5 Lewis' Boogie 3.5/5 Your Cheating Heart 2.5/5 (LEAST FAV) Hound Dog 4/5 Long, Tall Sally 3.5/5 Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On 3/5
It was over before it really got going
Mekkora bop már a Long Tall Sally!
-1 star because the man was a nut case, but the music was great.
