Reviews (page 7 of 7)

A weird one. There's probably something to it, but disliking most of the instrumentals, not enough.

non so neanche cosa dire, ok? go off, i guess? but also no? sono molto confusa

Eno does great stuff. This ain't it.

I had not been noticing this album for most of the time when I was listening to it.

Any album by Brian Eno is a real hit or miss. His more traditional records are really good, up to a high standard, best quality. The other positions in his discography are innovative and quite dividing electronic music experiments. While I'll agree that his influence on the genre was probably substantial for the time, I can't enjoy any of the song on this album. Boring and without a spark, it's just (again) an excellent hotel lounge music.

The music's not bad but the lyrics are strange

Very 70's acid trippy stuff in here. Feels kind of like Beatles lite. Best Song: Becalmed (May be the most calming piece of music I have ever heard. I could play this on repeat all day working.)

Fuck sakes, not another Eno record ffs... Reading the Wikipedia article on this album: The album’s only chart success was in New Zealand.... So why the fuck is it on this list Eno utilised a variety of unconventional recording techniques and instrumental approaches.... Fuck. So basically, Eno wails on inanimate objects and calls it music... There is a song on this record where Eno's only vocals are looped and he just keeps saying "I'll come running to tie your shoes"..... Leave my fucking shoes alone man. This record is awful. Not sure why it is on this list. Not Eno's worst, but still Eno. Favourite songs: St. Elmo's Fire Least favourite songs: Little Fishes 2/5

It two goes to get into this album. Not my thing but some good tracks. It did grow on me as the album went on - The big ship - Golden hours - Becalmed

First listen I wasn’t inspired

Eno is a great producer but this is passable at best. It's not passable when he sings.

There's a two-song run in here that is great, and the album that I wish this was (The Big Ship, I'll Come Running). Unfortunately the rest of the album is not that. I just didn't get into this, as much as I enjoyed those two songs.

Pretty Boring

Honestly just a straight up boring record. One or two interesting songs, but most of them are these ethereal and dull soundscapes.

Another Brian Eno album and yet more evidence that he's just a con of the musical world. Do people legitimately think this is a masterpiece?? What is this??? Only the production levels save this from being a 1. 35/100

boh un po' insulso

Pretty boring to be honest . I couldn't make any positive thing from this record and not to mention the few instrumental tracks sprinkled here and there. Even when there are vocal perfomances , they are pretty much bland and devoid of any quality.

if the color beige made an album. considering the talent involved I thought this would've been...more than what it was. I get it, just a bunch of music dudes dicking around can be fun, but the outcome is less than stellar.

Interesting to hear these sounds that I associate with other artists. Helps me understand his contributions to their records more specifically. Sky Saw could be on Side Two of David Bowie's Low or Heroes. Somber Reptiles could be on Side Two of Talking Heads Remain In Light. So it's neat in that respect but ultimately this is not very interesting to me. Maybe he's better at improving other people's music than making his own?

Can understand the hype and certain sounds were ground breaking. Big Ship stood out for me.

Eno was clearly very innovative to have made music like this in 1975. I found it a bit boring but can see the artistic merit, even if it's not for me

I dislike the random changes during the same song. Specifically sharp sounds.

i mean he’s worldbuilding. its not a world i want to live in. but he is doing it.

Uninspiring!

Just couldn't get into this one. Most of the songs never really connected to me in any way.

Mid. Nothing that made me go wow.

Another very slow album that had few redeeming qualities

This type of music is not really for me but I’ve heard much worse.

In Dark Trees has a cool undeveloped vibe in a soundtrack style. He is transitioning toward ambient music

I've heard of Brian Eno. but didn't know it was so old. weird. but ok?

I don't understand the love for this artist

could i write poetry to this? n

Feeling kinda tired.

Sleep music

Als Hintergrundmusik ist dieser Ambient ok.

Not really for me

Another why? for me. Not offensive, certainly calming and mellow, but why include it? I’d never listen to it again for any reason.

Very weird, not much really going on for most of the album, was kinda just like background ambience

did not like

This is an example of something artistic where I see the skill/creativity/importance of it, but I don't actually enjoy it on its own. Like I see why this is "good," but I just don't actually like listening to it. I don't find ambient music very listenable and I'd have to be in a very specific (and weird) mood to put this on.

2 tracks in (and until the end of the album), I found myself wondering if I was really listening to the album described on Wikipedia. How can anyone consider this a masterpiece? The descriptions of playing sounds at random and creating experimental sounds pans out - but then just looping them for minutes in otherwise excessively sparse arrangements... how can that be a masterpiece? Interesting on a conceptual level; sure. Influential for fringe genres; quite possibly. As an actual album to listen to and enjoy; extremely boring and utterly soulless.

Take out the singing and this would be a damn sight better

This is the kind of album that gives critics a chance to wax poetic about ART and risk and nonsense, but that no one actually wants to listen to.

Algunas quizás para películas

I call this kind of music 'receptionist', the sort you will hear in any dentists or doctors reception. It wasn't awful, but had no real substance and l have no desire to ever listen again. It gets 2 stars as I made it the whole way through without wanting to rip my ears off

No thanks

Ranking the guitar solos of "The sound of perseverance" by Death 1. to forgive is to suffer: I'm a sucker for when bands go above and beyond what I'm expecting. 2. moment of clarity: This one feels epic like they knew it was their last song, I get that feeling a lot when listening to this entire album. 3. story to tell: same feeling as moment of clarity 4. scavenger of human sorrow: fast and vicious 5. Spirit Crusher: still great but not as much as the first 4 6. Bite the pain: same as spirit crusher 7. Flesh and the power it holds: slow and a little boring compared to the rest Honorable Mentions: Voice of the soul is a very good song but it seems like cheating to rank it as a solo since the whole song is a solo. Painkiller is a great cover but it's not a Death song or solo.

Technically speaking, It is a hell of an album, really well produced abd executed. But in the end, it is just a collection of songs to play on the background while you are doing something. Really good to read or focus. 2/5

Nemam neki utisak

There are some flashes of the potential of ambient music, which Eno would steer towards in the late 70s, along with some interesting rock-based instrumentals. But the album is all over the place. It never allows the listener to fully sink into it, because it jars you to attention with vocals like “I’ll come running to tie your shoes” and overly whimsical sounds of “Little Fishes” that don’t fit any kind of consistent vibe.

Interesting album I’ve heard this name Before but never listened. It sound like music for the tv show “How it’s Made” where they show all the toys and industrial things being build. Probably wouldn’t listen again. But if I’m ever making a documentary on how guitar strings are made I’m using one of these songs.

I can recognize the production value on this, while also recognizing how boring this is.

Background noise at best. Eno has had great influence but his misic itself leaved much to be desired

Weird album.

Naaaah really wasn't feeling this

Sounded like 1975! First song. The others were unique. Kind of a hodgepodge of feelings that the rest of the album elicited

Most of this album is weird instrumentals that kind of seem like Zeno just trying things out in the studio. The few songs with lyrics are also not that spectacular. 2.5/5 Won’t listen again

Some of it would fit in a DOS adventure game, some of it would fit in a movie. Actually, just realized I was thinking "this would work if..." about almost every song here. At least it was interesting.

had one song already saved and had heard another, kinda surprised me meh, your review puts it pretty well

love eno but i don't care for ambient music like this lol

Did not do anything for me

1. Sky Saw - an interesting sound, but I didn’t live the lyrics. 2. Over Fire Island - I don’t love instrumentals but it was an ok sound. 3. St. Elmo’s Fire - it’s got a unique sound, I like the guitar solo. 4. In Dark Trees - a very ominous sound for me, another instrumental 5. The Big Ship - this sounds a bit more hopeful to me, so I like that but it’s another instrumental 6. I’ll Come Running - I actually don’t mind this one. 7. Another Green World - another instrumental. 8. Sombre Reptiles - this one sounds a bit more low but exciting, another instrumental. 9. Little Fishes - flowed well from the last one, much more mellow a little different sounding, instrumental. 10. Golden Hours - sounds a little electronic almost which is cool for the 70s, sounds pretty innovative for the time. 11. Becalmed - kinda soothing instrumental 12. Zawinul/Lava - nice piano instrumental 13. Everything Merges with the Night - kinda liked the lyrics and sound. 14. Spirits Drifting - sounds kinda ethereal so it’s an interesting note to end it Overall, I didn’t mind the sound of it but I didn’t think it was that great. I don’t love when albums have a lot of instrumentals, I think that’s better for interludes. I also looked it up and didn’t realise he was also in Roxy music which I had an album earlier that I didn’t really like that much either. Interesting to see the impact he had on music though.

Just not for me

Really not my thing

It's the best Brian Eno album I've ever listened to until now. This is not exactly a compliment.

From this adventure, I'm learning that I really do not like Brian Eno's music. His melodies tend not to resonate with me, and when he's produced an album, I've tended not to vibe with it. It's wild to know how much influence he's had on music over the past half a century and to feel such a divide between what he's creating and what I enjoy. But I just really can't seem to enjoy his work. (It really doesn't help that he produced U2's absolutely horrific 2000 album) This album itself seems to encapsulate almost a lofi style, which I could really appreciate on tracks like Big Ship, or really any of the tracks without vocals. I can see how important this is to ambient music, to production, etc. But I still struggle to enjoy it.

Very abstract and experimental. Not my cup of tea but I must say was interesting to listen to Brian Eno's solo work, after only really knowing him for his production work.

Parts sound like a movie soundtrack. But this didn’t hold my interest

Starts of strong with Sky Saw, Over Fire Island, and St Elmo's Fire. Interesting instrumentation. Funky and Jazzy riffs. It has all the ingredients to make a 5 star album. But somehow even on those songs, the whole is much less than the sum of its parts, and struggles to hold my attention. It gets worse as the album goes on. Even on my dedicated listening session, I got distracted and reached for my phone around the time of Sombre Reptiles. Conclusion: I like Eno more as a producer than a composer. Would make a good movie soundtrack, I think. I would give the first 3 songs a 4, but they are significantly dragged down by the rest. Struggling whether to leave 2 or 3 stars.

I'm sure he enjoyed making this but I didn't enjoy my time listening to it. I mainly just wished I had a better album to listen to.

sorry i just don’t get it

Background music

I mean it's not unpleasant, but nothing to really like here either. Also incredibly forgettable

Too much fretless bass and the singing reminds me of Pink Floyd. It's a shame. I really wanted to love this one. I don't consider these songs to be minimal or even really ambient, either. Perhaps at the time of the album's release they were? For me the songs with vocals sound too druggy and the instrumentals veer into new age whale sounds territory.

I understand they wanted to include Brian Eno because he pioneered ambient music. But why do I need to listen to this pre-ambient uninspired prog album?

Bastante rollo.

I understand how influential Brian Eno is and maybe I would enjoy some of his other albums more, but this just didn't do it for me. I did like some of the songs, but it's not something I would go out of my way to listen to again.

Very, very unique album. Unfortunately, most of it doesn't land for me. Too many ambient sounds does not a cohesive song make for me. With that being said, there are a few times where it does all come together for me. Favorite track: Zawinul/Lava

Sorry Brain couldn't get into it

Took me by surprise, wasnt expecting all the jazzy bass and such. Certainly a forward-thinking engineer in the studio but I just didn't like any of these songs. Nothing grabbed me.

It's hard to say what this album is. Apparently it marks a transition from rock to ambient music in Eno' canon of work. Well, I don't know anything about that. It exists. It's fine. Quite nice in many ways. That's all I have to say about it. Rating: 2.5/5 Playlist track: The Big Ship Date listened: 17/01/23

This sounds like something that would be behind a montage of plants growing in fast forward

Not my favourite Eno album, as it falls between his more prog-glam Warm Jets material and the full-on flotation tank later ambient works like Music For. And growing up in the UK, the Arena music (title track) feels very dated now. So it falls between two stools and for me takes the less interesting aspects of each style - there’s no full on energy of tracks like Third Uncle and the ambient stuff is still a little too busy. But an interesting document of the move from one phase to the other.

Eclectic, some very ambient pieces. Enjoyed the mellow BBC indent bit.

Super boring

This is the second album that I've gotten from Brian Eno, and the first one I really really disliked. This one hasn't been much better so far. Sounds like random atmospheric noises and very experimental. This album is better than the first one of his that I listened to, but not by much. Not a fan.

Enough Brian Eno, not good

Some of it weird, some relaxing, probably won't come back.

This is now my third Brian Eno album and I just don't get it. This is pretty bland bad shit. It's not interesting and it's so boring musically.

Good production, long as hell

Not my tempo

An album-length equivalent of when you’re over at a friends house and he asks you to listen to a riff/lyric/synth sound he’s excited about and then you have to sit there and nod politely while waiting for the whole ordeal to end

Never properly listened to Brian Eno. Minimalistic cover seems to suggest some minimalistic music, but after another stretch of mediocre UK based boomer rock, I'm just hoping for something different. Let's go! Well this was an assortment of unfinished musical ideas, some more interesting than others. Meh.. on to the next one.

I am hesitating in which would be my rating for this album. On one side, I found very interesting songs, with creatives ways of incorporating sounds, that you note left a legacy in future bands. On the other hand, I found part of the album really boring.

Noises

No me llega

Two Eno albums on here? Really? I feel about the same now as I did before.

2/5 nope

This is the third album by Brian Eno. It marked his transition from rock music toward ambient instrumental music. This album in particular can be described as art rock/pop with a dash of minimalist ambient music. This album is calmer than previous Eno albums, with melodic instrumental sections and lyrics on only 5 tracks. Although the critical reception for the album was favorable, it failed to chart in any country besides New Zealand. It seems like many listeners - including myself - were looking for something more fast paced than this dream-like escape into a peaceful, mirrored dimension.

Yeah not really it. Great producer for U2 and can hear some influence among their work, but most of this sounds experimental electronica/rock. 3/10.

I feel bad, but I just can't quite get into Eno mode. I so want to, but I just can't get the key to work in the door.

not really very good this.

A wonderfully sumptuous, impressionistic dream world.🍭

I really enjoyed Here Come The Warm Jets when it came up on this list, so much so that I went out and bought it. It didn't enjoy this one quite so much. Maybe it is a grower but on first listen it felt to me like a lot of half baked, half realised ideas.

Ey yo Bri, stick to producing

Nomas para saber

Brian Eno just doesn’t do it for me.

spacey instrumental music man should have been born when computer synths were more abundant

Ive heard his name before but have no assumptions. edit this is so bad. two stars. I had to skip a song of theirs also it sounds like im at the dentist.

I didn't hate it.

Enough of this experimental noodling, its' ok is small doses but an album is too much.

I found it boring. Felt experimental just for the sake of it. Maybe on a different day, in a different setting?

I've listened to this album at four separate times over about 15 years, each time coming away with a feeling that perhaps I'm missing something, as I just can't hear the qualities that make this a highly acclaimed album. To my ears, the instrumentals lack a melodic focus as they just don't really go anywhere, and the ones with lyrics feel like tuneless drafts of songs. This time around I'm secure in my knowledge that the music of Brian Eno and my own ears are just not that compatible. And I'm fine with that. Thanks anyway, Brian :-)

Ambient ... This can really be interesting, but, apparently, specifically in that format, the implementation did not hook this one. I want to highlight 4 compositions: Sombre Reptiles (Best!!!), In dark trees, Spirits drifting, Golden Hours

Hard to know what to make of this. Adventurous in its day perhaps.

Pre-ambient Eno

I wasn't really sold on the last Brian Eno album here, hope this one is better. (and lol @ the German guy who called it "das Album für Flughafentoiletten", ich fand's auch Kacke) Ok this isn't really ambient like the last one. This is just weirdness. I guess it's kinda avant garde or something? I'm sure if I had the ear for it, it'd be a masterpiece... but I don't. I just prefer songs that sound like songs, I guess.

Musical wallpaper

Not for me

Hmm, I guess you had to be there.

Has a few good songs but overall not vibing it

A tad too ambient for me, not bad just not what I wanted

Not a huge fan, felt a bit like some kind of electronic Jazz I don’t get

Background music, nothing memorable about it, not my kind of thing. 2

Sounds incomplete, cool ideas but lacking in anything that sticks

🕰💿☁️

Alright as background music but that's about it.

This goes on a bit too long and ends up a bit too much like background noise. Quite liked Golden Hours

Different sound

Didn't get it.

It was quite good but it's mostly instrumental so couldn't really focus on it. Can't really rate it highly since I can't be bothered to listen again, but it was quite beautiful music, with lots of variety and cool baselines.

All over the place. Kind of some 70s techno feel with some emo/pop singing? Really don’t know

Random sounds

Eh, it's alright.

“I’ll come running to tie your shoe”. What a line for the ages. Torn, healed, regrown- Brian is all over the shop with some interesting industrial sounds, but not that appealing to me

Meh. I have never liked his voice. I do like "King's Lead Hat" and "Baby's on Fire", but those songs are not on this album. It's not a terrible album, it's just not to my taste.

Too chill... zzz...

Bit weird

it was an interesting album, not one of my favorites.

Lots of atmospheric instrumentals and things going on here. I don't necessarily enjoy it but I respect it.

This type of Ambiant music is not my type of Ambiant music. Some well know names in the music industry that have worked with Brian Eno on this album.

A very strange album. Hated parts of it, was into other parts.

Not my favorite but did appreciate the different sounds

mostly ambient compositions quite decent but not to my taste

sounded someone set a keyboard to sound effects mode and then sat on it

no thanks

Very lame

Not for me

Sometimes "Experimental" means when art questions what is music, what is rhythm, what is melody, what is structure...and sometimes it means bleep bloop gleep glorp music. This is bleep bloop gleep glorp music with interludes of unexciting soft pop rock. I hate bleep bloop gleep glorp music.

Baustelle, Gerstetten, Deutschland. Voll öde.

Not for me. 1/5

How were so many people involved in making such a terrible record and then so many listening to it and thinking it’s good. I’m baffled.

Afval (Dutch for rubbish)

I'm really starting to dislike Brian Eno. Clearly others see something I don't in this guy cause every album of his I subject myself to just sounds like the most pretentious, self aggrandizing bullshit ever committed to tape. If you somehow like this guys music more power to you, but it is definitely not for me.

Aburrido

Before starting this project I had no idea who Brian Eno was, nor had his name ever passed my ears. How I wish that were still so. The list’s fascination with this weirdo is beyond me. I’m really beginning to think it’s just the creators idea of a joke and he’s laughing his ass off. Heaven help us if he really thinks this turd deserves to be on this list the 6 or 7 times he is. Calls the seriousness of the whole list into question.

Sounds like leftover sounds someone took pity on and put on an album. I don’t get it.

Another load of FUCKING DULL SHIT from Brian Eno. Why is he on this list so many times? Fucking FIVE of his solo albums and a bunch of other shit he was involved in? FUCK. OFF. BRIAN. FUCKING. ENO.

Interesting, but not my thing

Not for me

Another day, another shitty Brian Eno album. Dimery has the biggest hard-on for this pretentious shit.

Shit suuuuuucked

Not for me, just sounds like random sounds.

Way too arty. Just too affected.

Some more background music - genuinely non-offensive

whole lotta nothing

hated it

Background rock I guess.

British electronica pop. Again and again. It all SUCKS. Zero stars. Negative stars.

Did not like this album, it sounded like noise

Brian Crap

Not a fan at all, very boring listen.

No. Nope. Nothing.

Fuck off Brian eno five fucking times

I know he's done lots of notable productions and projects but this was aweful

Some say a masterpiece. Sounds like a collection of noises from a three year old nursery group. With a cover picture to match.

I couldn't finish it.

I’ve never heard a single thing to make me understand why Brian Eno is so revered. This is the sound of someone who hit record in the studio and then just pissed around all day and released it as an album. It’s a bunch of ideas for songs that he never bothered to finish actually writing. I thought the first track was ok and all was finally about to revealed to me in a glorious 40 minute package… but no, didn’t like a single other thing. Absolute fucking grifter, I don’t get it!

Fuck no

So. Bored

Lowkey bewildering.

1. Sky Saw - 2 Pretty rough sounding instrumentals outside of the bass guitar that's been reduced to a bland coffee shop background music sound. Lyrically the track is lost. Ending violins are a ear-bleeding pitch of sound. 2. Over Fire Island - 3 Sounds like a rejected Super Mario background music track. 3. St Elmo's Fire - 3 It's a pretty weak track. Piano starts well but none of the other instruments sound particularly great. Lyrically it's okay at times and lost at others. Gutar is nice but the track is so random you wonder why it's on there. 4. In Dark Trees - 7 Decent track. Instrumentally pretty good. Reminds me almost of Minecart Madness from the Donkey Kong Country soundtrack but still, a really enjoyable track. 5. The Big Ship - 5 Not a bad song but it sounds like it would just mainly be used for a photo montage. 6. I'll Come Running - 2 Lyrically absolutely awful. Guitar sound is okay but it's pretty much bad elevator music. 7. Another Green World - 4 Sounds like a Minecraft theme with guitars. Way too short lived and simple a track. 8. Sombre Reptiles - 4 Another way too simplistic track devoid of both quality and purpose. 9. Little Fishes - 0 The soundtrack to an area in a really MMORPG. That's what this sounds like. 10. Golden Horse - 2 Might as well be a lullaby. Really dull song. 11. Becalmed - 3 Slow building ambient music. It's calm, but it's also just three minutes of what feels like a funeral procession. 12. Zawinul/Lava - 1 This is the track that shows you exactly where "Ambient 1/Music for Airports" came from. Sounds just like something off that album. 13. Everything Merges With The Night - 2 Just way too simplistic a track. Monotony in a song. 14. Spirits Drifting - 1 Another funeral procession of a song. Average Rating: 2.79 Adjusted to 5 Point Scale: 1.39 Rounded Down: 1 Star

This kinda sucks. I don't think I needed to listen to this much Brian Eno. 1.5

Eeee no me gustó

I was looking forward for another album. I couldn’t listen to it. I’m sure it’s fantastic to some. Just not my cup of tea.

Going to reiterate that I like the products of Brian Eno the producer, but not really a fan of Brian Eno the musician. Another Green World is another example of him getting too weird with it. Most of the tracks sounds like demos or early concepts as opposed to songs. It's great that Brian Eno is able to experiment with his creative side, it just doesn't turn into anything that interesting for me. 1.06 stars

Are we seriously calling this ‘music’?

Not for me

Feel like this was a compilation of music that an artist/band would create on their journey to an actual album, lots of experimental noise and could perhaps be interesting to hear the process alongside a more exciting album, but probably not something you'd release into the wild without context.

Too experimental for me

All instrumental. Didn’t enjoy.

Did the person putting this list together have a long career in the NFL, because you'd have to have some extreme CTE to put some of these shit albums on this list. Christ almighty I hate this pots-and-pans-banging-and-call-it-music bullshit. Fucking nerds ruin everything. 1/5

Nope Just nope

I read the review of it being a waking nightmare and I didn't want to harsh my mellow.

1/5 none of the songs stood out

Nope. Boring

Another try, another day...maybe ?

There’s definitely talent behind this, and the production is solid, but no matter how hard I try, I just can’t find a soul in it. Feels like a homework made by top-of-the-class students, a boring soundtrack, with, however, a few surprisingly modern highlights (the Daft Punk-esque The Big Ship, or Golden hours for example). Overall, I didn’t like it.

Day435 - this is the first time an album has made me mad. it’s going straight to the never listen to again pile

I REALLY wanted to like this. But I didn't.

I've never been a big prog/art rock fan, and this album is no exception. A few decent moments, but I would not seek it out again.

I am skeptical heading into another Brian Eno project so soon after Roxy Music. Rightly so to this point. Art "rock", if this can even be called that, is terrible, art "pop" maybe. Whatever it is, this is not good. In Dark Trees sounds like it could be the soundtrack to a David Lynch film. I guess I should be grateful there aren't a bunch of weird experimental lyrics too. There they are. Once you've made a name for yourself, you can be as weird as you want and critics will eat it up like they're at a buffet. This is a major drag. Even the songs that are "better" aren't good. Last song was the best one and it was still terrible.

me personally it’s not for me but very well produced and made. I think all music is valid to me, because it is a labour of love. Someone spent their time and energy on this body of art and I respect that.

“Music” “Talent”

A bit boring

A medley of not terrible instrumentals interspersed with god awful repetitive sounds that make you want to claw your eyes out. There are one or two songs on this album that wouldn’t be too bad if they weren’t so “experimental”. Thumbs down from me.

Not my thing

Well Another Green World was crap. Not music. 1.

Another in this seemingly unending torrent of shite. We had another Eno album before that was at least fun (if a bit dated). This has some of the weird (but somehow in a boring way) without any of the fun, it sounds really dated. Reminds me of the twee bits on the White Album (which I also didn't like), but never gets to the good stuff really. 1/5, actively angered me.

1001 albums, and they’ve managed to choose some of the most dire, uninspired trash ever recorded in large parts it seems.

While it's clear that Eno experiments with innovative soundscapes and textures, the album fails to resonate with me on a personal level. Tracks like St. Elmo's Fire offer intriguing glimpses into Eno's sonic world, but overall, the album lacks coherence and emotional depth. Despite Eno's mastery of synthesizers and electronic effects, I find myself disconnected from the music. While Another Green World may appeal to fans of experimental music, it falls short of leaving a lasting impression on me. NUMBER OF BANGERS - 0 STAND OUT TRACK - None

Not really special in any way.

1.5 Not for me kinda just faded into the background as I was listening. The only decent track was the big ship, the rest was completely forgettable.

Didn’t care for this.

I decided to look at his Spotify bio before listening and I was super excited. He has almost 2 million listeners a month and has done a lot. But I simply did not like this.

my eyes glazed over for the duration of the album and i could not stop it

I gave it a try. Fuck, I hated this. Jarring, unpleasant and pretentious. I couldn't make it past the third song.

I don’t get it. Maybe he’s a great producer but why would you listen to his solo work?

,,👎🏻

Rare. Music for robots.

I didn't understand this album.

Not fun

Listened Before? N Mehhhhhhhhh. Not good. Not interested in "art rock" or electronic and this combines both with NO lyrics. I'll pass. Added to Library? N Songs added to playlist: The Big Ship

Two Eno albums in three days. What have I done to deserve this? Anyway, fucking awful, just like every other Eno album I've listened to.

Way too abstract and experimental for my tastes.

Seriously a fifth Brian Eno album?! Why?! I get it, it is ambient music. It was only 40 minutes long and I couldn't take it any longer so I skipped through songs. Just no.

A bit wishy-washy. Another album where I'm not quite sure what it's doing on the '1000 best' list....

One of the most boring musical experiences of my entire life

Like Pink Floyd, but without Pink Floyd

I tried to listen to 3 different songs and could not get through them. If you are into mainly bass with synthesized random sounds on top, this is the album for you but not for me.

The 70's, man -- did people really decide this was fun to put on and sit around and listen to? Maybe it's more fun if you do drugs at the same time

I’d be ok if I never listened to any Brian Zeno ever again. I just think his sound is annoying.

Honestly forgot I was listening to it while listening to it.

What a disappointment.

Was not a fan. Super atmospheric and felt like it was a shitty movie soundtrack. After a 2nd listen through I found that the 2nd half was ok at best

zzzzzz - what on earth is this? audio wallpaper, and not especially pretty stuff either

Pretty weird prob rock album. Never really felt like it had a groove and didn’t enjoy much of it. The instrumentals felt like they were weird to be weird. Nothing special about the lyrics either. 1.9/10

This album should have been called "Disjointed Warm-up Exercises for Small Orchestras" - because that's what it sounds like. Shame on Phil Collins for participating in this.

bah bah

Te weird en experimenteel.

Overall was not a fan of the experimental sounds. Their were a few songs that had potential but ultimately were ruined by the wack sounds that the dude was using.

Most boring one so far

Nicht so meins

literally hate it. seems like one of those things where because it’s old and weird white men would be like “it’s a masterpiece”. my brother and i both hate it.

Again couldnt get through it!!!! Sorry 1 star

Not really my thing

I'll come running pas trop mal

Annoying asf lol

Ouf. Non merci

Nope didn’t care for this music at all.

Instrumental prácticamente

What if my shoes don't need tying?

Urgh. Just sad whooshing.
