I listened before bed and didn't really care for it. Too much bass. But I listened again (and on a different speaker system) and liked it more. Gonna try it the next time I drive somewhere

Also the sound of the drum machine is super irritating. A very tinny drum machine. Iberian girl? WTF is this song! In general: so many added noises it's almost chaotic. And how many times is he gonna do that high pitched squeak noise? The ones I know from the 80s radio of my past are tolerable.
I mean. It's jazz. Technically accomplished jazz. But not my thing. These reviews are for me, not for others. And aren't even really reviews. Oh well

Well. I enjoyed the peppy beat. I couldn't understand a lot of the words, but some I sure did (jailbait!). Not terrible to listen to though. I never need to again, but I didn't hate it.

Not sure I'm on the radiohead bandwagon. This album is kind of creepy. I listened to it easily enough but I don't want to listen to it again really. All I felt was creepy. That's not an emotion I really want from my music.

I've already had this album before I was in the group. I'm not listening to this s*** again. The radio hits are nostalgic but otherwise I had a hard time listening. So many extra "noises" and MJs little squeak noise, and all together too much pop music. And the fake drums are too tinny. Also: Wtf is up with Liberian Girl?

I like the fast pace. Everything else can suck it. Not my style. Instinct said to give it a 1 but the speed/skill of the drums and guitars deserves something.

I tried. I was determined to listen to them all and see if there was even a single good song, but then I got messed up where I was on the playlist in Spotify and I stopped. Most of them are boring, some of them are awful, and some are fine but not good. I heard at least half of them.

I have two extremely early memories of music and I'm not exactly sure which came. First one was that I absolutely adored captain and tennille and had their poster on my wall. The other is Simon & Garfunkel and specifically the song Cecilia which isn't on this album. But I have loved Simon & Garfunkel my entire life and this album is perfection.

This album and artist reminds me of a horrible boss I had at the time this came out. She absolutely loved it and I can't stand it, but I recognize it's mostly because of the b**** Lynette. But also it has a kind of affectation that I don't like. The same as Lynette I guess. Dang, I can't even get through the album and I'm normally down for a good rant.

Ridiculous and silly and a ton of fun. I loved it. On another day it might not have hit the same, but today it just hit right even though some of the lyrics are really stupid. Probably really a four but I'm reading it at five so that I see it on my list of fives. So don't forget about it the next time. I need some silly fun on a road trip.

Complicated to rate this one because I generally dislike live albums and Jerry Lee is a piece of shit. However, his influence is undeniable IMO. My favorite live band is Low Cut Connie and Adam's performance style is directly influenced by JLL. Adam wrote a reflection about JLL when he died, published by Spin. Good vibes. And I struck up a conversation with the man behind me at the grocery store who asked me what I was listening to and he remembered the Youngbloods from back in the day. Then he told me a story about how he almost took the Dave Clark Five out water skiing on Lake Mendota but had to go to a bugle corps rehearsal instead. Don't worry about the Dave Clark five though...they still got to go water skiing with this man's friend. Anyway, good times.
