Definitely has a throwback sound to it. Good guitar play but the vocals are not my cup of tea with the "vintage mono" filter on his voice. I've given it a few listens but it never quite hold my attention or makes me want to dig further. 3/5 for being sonically interesting.
Absolute classic album. Run to the Hills is such a good song and the album has so much power and set the stage for so many more Iron Maiden albums to come. Highly recommended and certainly a must listen for anyone looking for a very accessible metal/hard rock album.
Such a breakthrough album in the "heavy metal" genre. It set the standard of downtuning and is full of classic riffs that inspired so many players afterward.
Excellent second solo album! So much good sound mixing and power. I do have to say that "Oh Yoko!" is pretty bad overall. The honky tonk melody was good but the lyrics are like something written by a lovesick teen. I'm not saying he wasn't in love with Yoko, just, considering his songwriting abilities, that's a poor effort to get his point across.
This was a new one for me and man, have I been missing War on Drugs! Great album with wonderful lyrics. I really like Adam’s voice and vocals. One of a Dylan-Petty hybrid but also all his own. Highly recommend this album if you like Tom Petty, Avett Brothers, or Noah Kahan.
Great album! So many classic songs with my favorite being Inner City Blues.
Good album that led to some great ones.
I just could not get through it. It was not in my musical taste group and I found boring and repetitive. I'm sure it has its place (perhaps as background music or a dance club) but did not interest me in the least.
I love this album. So much variety and Devo was just blazing suck a new trail in music. A favorite is the cover of Satisfaction. It is one of the most unrecognizable covers I’ve ever heard. Only at the end of the song do you catch the familiar guitar riff.
A good album overall but I've never been a huge fan of Lou Reed. This one has some memorable songs so if you want to test the Lou Reed waters, this is a good one to do it.
One of my favorite bands! This album is a great example of their work and is highly recommended. So many good songs and Chris's vocals on Limo Wreck are just peak.
Willie is a national treasure and his voice is iconic. This album is full of covers that he pulls off with his own style and simple arrangements. I loved it but still prefer his original material. Definitely a worthwhile listen to see how his voice varies to other styles.
Great album and a bit on the more bluesy end of his style.
One of his most twisted collections. So many different thing in play on this album. Such an interesting follow up to Ziggy but stands on its own.
Such a fantastic album! Just Bruce with his guitar and some of the most beautiful and tragic stories. A must listen for sure.
Very good listen. Full of solid songs.
I had not heard the whole album before but pretty good. I was familiar with his most famous songs but he was definitely pushing the boundaries of different music from a single artist.
Not a fan of this record. I know it is considered a forerunner of several styles but I just couldn't get into it after three listens. I see the energy of the band but maybe the recording is just that terrible, even after a remaster.
Where to start! This is one of the best albums across genres of all time. The lyrics and rhythm of his poetry is above anything that was going on at that time. This is an album that everyone should listen to. It is a watershed moment in the way syllables and lyrics can drive a song.
Great first album and a great kick off to this me of the greats. Straight ahead rock and roll with some excellent lyrics.
I've always loved Joni's voice, but she is an artist that when I hear her music I think, "I like that song" but I never really seek her out. Good album to get a flavor of her style.
This is not my style of music and I've never been into synth beats and house music. Listened to a bit of it but could not maintain my interest. I"ll give it 2 stars from me but certainly not indicative of a real rating of the album.
I like Depeche Mode but didn’t really like this album. Not liking the instrumental stuff.
One of my favorite Prince albums and Sign 'O' The Times is arguably his best song.
Great album! Love Bob Dylan but certainly one of those artists that I don’t listen to very often but always enjoy it when I do.
Excellent live album! Certainly a trailblazing effort for live recordings capturing Jerry's raw style.
Kate has a beautiful voice and is very recognizable but she is not someone I listen to often.
Fun album and great recording. Always loved Motorhead and Lemmy.
Wonderful album and an all time great.
Great album and a great guitar player.
What a great album! One of his best works.
Didn't really like this. Standard 80s sound but not something I would have listened to even back then.
Obviously a classic but I much preferred every thing after Rubber Soul
Very experimental for the time but I was never a fan of the Byrds in general.
A sea change moment in music!
Great album and so many classic songs for a short lived band.
I am a huge fan of Steely Dan but his was is no Aja. Very good mix of sings but it is hard to compare.
Beautiful voice and such a great album. Sinead is sorely missed and he voice is so unique.
This was new to me and I very much loved it. Solomon's music will be fun to explore!
Sounds like the original Jack Johnson. I like his vocals but the music style is not something I would listen to.
I could not get through this one. Just to baroque and I was not a fan of the vocal stylings.
Certainly one of the best live albums in history. A must listen for anyone that enjoys the best of the best.
Not a fan of this style. I did like Human League's few songs.
One fo the best albums out there and a real influence on so bands many that came after. A must listen.
Ray is a treasure and this album certainly shows why. He took old standards and gave the SOUL.
Good stuff
Did not like it. I am not a fan of Rammstein either. I understand this group's influence and it is likely a major movement change but not my style.
Great songs from a legendary band.
Such a great album. I am a big fan of Sabbath and Vol.4 is one of the classsics.
Classic album by one of the most distinctive voices in music.
One of the best!
Good raw sound in a post-punk way. Simple but lots of energy
One of the best!
Loved it! Great afrobeats/jazz/funk mixture.
A great example of psychedelic rock. Grace's voice changed Jefferson Airplane for the better and the two songs she wrote became their most memorable hits.
Such a good album!
Not sure this qualifies as a must hear. Just okay.
I know this was a birthing point for heavy metal hit Inwas never a big Deep Purple fan.
What can you say really that hasn't been said. Once of, if not the best albums end to end of all time.
Interesting first solo from him. Not much to really grab on to besides the obvious "hit" but I can see the appeal.
Great musician but not a fan of Nuevo tango.
Good atmospheric album
Arguably the best of their catalog.
I like the “Bakersfield Sound” bit not much of a Yoakam fan.
Good album
Prefer Dolittle
Great album from a classic vocalist. Such a fantastic artist
Excellent
Fantastic!!
Really good album but a short lived band.
One of the great songwriters in history.
Decent but no pet sounds
Fantastic!!!
Outstanding!!
Ella was and is such an amazing vocalist. This captures her doing some classic songs from the American songbook.
Good album but prefer Aja
First is the best by far. Great songs but they never could back to that level.
Fantastic!!
Fantastic!!
Good musicians but did not like the jazz/pop style
Excellent album minus Mother
Did not click for me. He’s very innovative.
Love it!
Classic sounds from old westerns, yes, but must hear? No.
Never heard these guys and I like it!
I’m me of the best albums of all time. Easily top 10.
