Better than I thought it would be. Fun music (although the dated attitudes in the lyrics may irk some people).
Yea, this shit isn’t for me but it actually had more clever lines than I expected so it kept me entertained enough. Could you love me on a bus? I'll ask twenty-one questions and they all about us. This line had me cracking up, could you imagine sitting next to a couple doing this shit, volume up on my headphones, possibly taking the next bus. 3 stars
I don’t think I’ll come back to it much but i enjoyed it 👍 3.5
Folk som känner mig vet att jag hatar rap och hiphop, men den här plattan har någonting. En trea är högt för att komma från mig.
geeeeez this sounds like elementary school. In Da Club still hits. In general, I don't think 50 has a flow that I like. its very choppy and I'm not a huge gansta rap guy. 21 Questions is a good crossover RnB song.
A bit bloated and over produced. Cut it down a bit and it’s a 4, as is it’s a 3 from me.
Not a bad album by 50c, not good enough to warrant 75mins of it but still enjoyable
2.75
Get Rich or Die Tryin' is pretty hit and miss, especially for such a big and acclaimed album. It's very clear very early on that the songs produced by Eminem or Dre are better than the rest of the tracks, and they're also quite clearly a different style with a richer and more compelling sound, Back Down is probably the best example of it but it's just so obvious throughout. It lacks cohesion as a result, because every time it delivers something that sounds great, it's quickly followed by something that returns to a generic beat and monotone sound, because his rapping style doesn't have enough variety or unpredictability to it. A tighter overall delivery (16 tracks just under an hour on the main release without bonus tracks is a bit bloated) and a more considered production overall would get this a 4, but it's a 3 because it doesn't.
A real mixed bag, this. He does the gangster stuff pretty well, in parts, but it gets wearing (Phil is bang on when he talks about how the delivery is really one-paced). Many Men is probably the best example of it - it's a decent song, the actual lyrics are interesting, but he just sounds SO bored whilst delivering it. That works OK when you've got some interesting production going on around it, but when you don't it really suffers. And, also, there's a fair bit of filler. 3/5.
Alright.
Usually I dont fw this sorta music, i like rap but 00s hip hop can really be hit or miss. But DAMN this is good.
Good, felt like good quality but pretty stereotypical early 2000s rap. P.I.M.P and 21 Questions stood out most to me. This feels like pretty cookie-cutter gangster rap and it's too long of an album for that to hold my interest the whole time, so it gets middle of the road ratings. Cool to learn this was on Eminem's label, that helps me understand the rappers that were big as I grew up a little better.
very fun 2000's rap.
Not a bad album at all
Better than I thought it would be. Liked second half better
this wasn't my favorite. i think the production was pretty decent but i think has aged worse than a lot of the older first or second wave rap albums. 50's rapping is alright but just really isn't my thing. there's something about his flow that is a little too singsong-y for me. most of the songs here are fine but in my opinion not very memorable. there are a couple on here that are fun, like 'in da club,' and ,'p.i.m.p.' but other than that, i'm not sure i liked it enough to explore it further.
This album is hilariously long for how little variety there are between some of these songs. I would have given it a 4 but it's AT LEAST 30 minutes too long. An hour, fifteen? Insane. Anyways. It's wild to me seeing hip-hop I grew up on now being deemed "classic" hip hop and the younger generations listening to albums like this instead of Tupac/Biggie from my era. Cool!
Better than I expected but kinda overstays its welcome.
the most interesting part was a six second long soundclip of a coin flipping
was loooos fifty haha hett irgendwie nöd da album erwartet. i mim chopf sind am fifty sini veats so guet dases kaschiert daser gar nöd sooo guet rappt. erste song bestätigt da gad bitz. okay ich ha mega viel gschriebe aber nöd s album fertig gschafft, ich versuechs jetz im zug fertig schaffe. aber ich find er rappt cool, d adlibs sind nice d beats gönd absolut übermenschlich dumm. aber s isch scho nöd wooow. back down cool. in da club crazy cool. Quite an impact in the moment it came out, it left some classics with a distinctive groove.
Why are all these hip hop albums an hour or longer. Really outstayed it's welcome. Eminem's verses were the best and showed a stark contrast in ability
Go shawty its cho birthday....love it. Didn't listen to this album all the way through yet though so I'm going to have to come back to this
He did the former
I didn't think I'd like it but I did. Decent rap from the 00's with a number of good guest appearances.
The grip that "In Da Club" has on my generation to this day is crazy. All in all, pretty tight album for it's era. I never really got into this particular brand of tough guy hip hop.
not my style of music, but it's a decent album
The sound of drunk driving in a 2000 Honda Civic. Would have scored this higher if it wasn't a peak CD era "make this exactly 74 minutes" overstuffed album
Ratings: 5: I will happily play this album anytime 4: I may occasionally play this album of my own free will 3: I will happily listen to this if someone plays it in the background 2: I will tolerate this if it is playing in the background 1: I will leave the room if someone plays this in the background Still not my genre, but I was getting into the flow about after a couple of listens. For whatever reason, P.I.M.P (w/ a Caribbeaneque sound) was a favorite.
Classic but such a long album
Didn’t listen but I know this record already
I know who 50 Cent is, but didnt know much about his music. I found most of Get Rich or Die Tryin' had nice double-tracked vocals in the chorus, which I hadn't heard in hip hop before. Unfortunately, many of the backing tracks were dull with very basic drum machine beats. Standout tracks include In Da Club, P.I.M.P. (love the steel drums!), 21 Questions, Don't Push Me and Wankster.
The flow that 50 has on his debut is insane the first few songs are a masterclass in patience and artistry. Eminem feature is perfect. High all the time is the first song that is just a bit boring It 100% was written for Nate Dogg don't lie, listen to the flow funny cause he is on this record. Songs like this are riddled though the great ones. This is an Iconic record and a perfect 7/10 here. This is the extension of Gangsta rap that I love Heat is such a iconic song! Blood Hound transition to Back Down is incredible Ja rule who? to transition that into P.I.M.P is the highlight of the record it just shows his mantra of gangsta rap but not being as visceral as he could be. All in all this is a fun and hype time that modern hip hop still rings to with the likes of pop smoke and Future imo
Much like a nothing burger there's nothing much for me here. It's not overly confronting or offensive or fun or interesting. Fave: If I Can't. P.I.M.P has a nice groove.
Still solid. Some of the beats sound a little dated.
It's OK but not a classic. In Da Club is a total banger. Too much mumbling makes it hard to understand and it's something that annoys me when I listen to post 2000s hip-hop. Production is excellent. Good but not great album.
What a bloated album. I liked what I had heard before, like In Da Club and Many Men, but a majority of what I haven’t heard is for good reason. It’s not necessarily bad, but it’s not much worth having here. About 17-18 tracks with one remix is a lot for the run time of 75 mins. I think it’s funny listening back to 00’s and 90’s rap and thinking what they had was hard when it sounds like a bunch of metrosexual shit. Time can be a cruel mistress. Standouts: Patiently Waiting, Many Men (Wish Death), In Da Club, P.I.M.P., and 21 Questions.
50 Cent was alright album. I liked this better than some of the other rap albums we’ve listened to here so far. I forgot how much I like the track P.I.M.P. It’s so catchy! In Da Club is still a banger and should be played for everyone’s unbirthday because we don’t give a fuck it’s not your birthday.
Came in with low expectations, which helped. For the most part some pretty standard gangsta rap, missing what made some of the genre great. But there are some good singles, some decent grooves, and good production. Better than I thought it would be.
I know this is supposed to be a “classic”, but I guess I’m just not the right age of hip-hop fan to love this. The singles are all great, but many of these songs come and go for me. I love Many Men, and PIMP.
If you think of this album as a parody or send up of over the top, bragadocious rap it becomes very funny and enjoyable.
I'm surprised at how long this album is. It's got jams on it but also stretches where I'm wondering when the next track is starting. The first song I really liked was "In Da Club", then I was kind of floating until "If I Can't" and then "P.I.M.P", which was amazing. When it ended I was thinking wow really I'm only half way through this album? I was bored most of the time, and probably wouldn't ever put the album on again. It would get a 2/5 if it wasn't for the hits being great. It gets a 5/10 from me, but the 4/10 was lurking.
This album is the epitome of early 2000s gangsta rap. Great beats and some excellent hooks but the message gets a little played out as the album continues.
He got rich, most of us die trying.
Murder and mayhem... entertaining got 3/4 through, seems like a rather scary individual. I guess it would be fun to memorize some of the more horrific lines. 3*
"Get Rich or Die Tryin'" is the debut album by American rapper 50 Cent. East Coast hip hop and gansta rap are the genres. I'll comment on that later. At least 15 producers were used including Dr. Dre, Eminem and Mike Elizondo. There were also a number guest appearances including Eminem, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Nate Dogg. The album hit #1 in the US and #2 in the UK and received generally positive reviews. Coins rattles in the intro, the music turns on and we're into "What's Up Gansta." This is easy flowing and has a hip hop beat. 50 Cent is introducing himself. A big horn starts "Patiently Waiting." Dramatic with a haunting melody. Eminem joins in. He's gangster and will break your face. A hand-clap begins the first single "In Da Club." More dramatic music but a little more catchy. 50 Cent is rapping with the melody. The fourth and final singlec"If I Can't" has a keyboard-driven melody. Layered vocals. This is really poppy. "P.I.M.P" has almost a Carribean melody and beat. Needless to say, he's a pimp. "21 Questions" features Nate Dogg and is actually a love song. The guitar melody is a sample from a Barry White song. Sample a Barry White song for a love song...that's a no brainer. This is a pretty laid back album even with the gansta lyrics. It's pretty chill. I am nowhere near a hip hop expert but it had more of a West Coast feel to it. I'm sure Dre had a little to do with that. 50 Cent does not have the big, authoritative rap vocals but gets his point across. The hit songs are pretty "poppy" with nice melodies. There was also not an overload of sampling. Overall, a decent album.
Great album and a cool vibe
First thrid carries the album pretty well, definitely some iconic cuts from that time period that are still fun listens. Second half of the record drags on forreeverrr. Tracks featuring Eminem are the highlights honestly
I like the vibe of this one. Good beat, good rhymes, some decent music mixed in, particularly with the collab pieces.
Like this more than I thought I would, overall. Though I knocked it a star because of some wince-worthy homophobic and sexist moments.
Starts strong but overstays its welcome. & someone else should have sung some of the choruses.
Ja pretty good fun times beetje eentonig maar aantal bangers zeker
Listened Before? N He has a good voice and a unique approach for the time. I didn't hate it. Who could hate "In Da Club" anyway? Added to Library? N Songs added to playlist: In Da Club
Can i like something and utterly hate something at the same time? Schrodinger's cat of an opinion.
good flow and had a couple standouts, not smth id typically listen to tho
Solid old school rap
Classic hip hop album. Not my favorite, but undeniable influence in its day.
I bought this* when it came out in the midst of my schoolboy rap phase, and pretty much ever since then I’ve viewed it as one of the more shameful entries in my CD collection. But it’s actually better than I remember; there are hooks on nearly every track, Dre’s production is decent and 50’s rapping is fine. It does outstay its welcome though and the lyrics are completely ‘route 1 gangsta rap’, over and over again. But hey, at least he had the muscles and the bullet wounds to back up the hard man image. *I got my sister to buy it for me as I feared I was too young to buy a CD with a ‘parental advisory’ sticker on it… 😔
Not really my thing, but okay.
Already knew some of these songs, it was a decent album but I don’t know if I would listen to it again.
Only time for one listen. 50 Cent is easy to listen to although not particularly clever with his raps. Good production. Listens: 1 Fave Tracks: In Da Club Rating: 3
It's a good rap album. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 (so 3.5), and I'm rounding down. (I get that this was very popular, but so was Ace of Bass. Plus, it's in a genre where the typical listener isn't going to be listening to much from other genres, so you get a lot of "clustering" when an album that's above average comes out.)
There's a few good tracks. But it's too long.
This is a great party album, I forgot how fun this is. Not in a dancing kind of way, but in a head-bobbing vibe kind of way. The barking, the random “G-Unit!” shouts (including the “g-g-g-g-g-g-G-Unit”), and the mix of hardcore gangsta and tender introspection are what make this album more than just a product of its time. Some tracks like “Back Down” (the Ja Rule diss track) are dated, and there’s obviously a fair amount of misogyny that was prevalent in music at the time, but on the whole it’s a really enjoyable listen.
The critically acclaimed "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" album by 50 Cent was the best-selling album of 2023 in the US and one of the best rap albums of the year. A fusion of gansta rap and R&B, this album is credited with inspiring a wave of gansta rap artists. It should be noted that many very successful artists contributed and helped produce this album including Dr. Dre, Eminem and Snoop Dogg. "In da Club" is the hottest single from this album.
Definitely gave me flash backs to high school and overall a solid album but nothing spectacular.
I used to like this album as a teenager and I thought it was alright now. It suffers from the same issues that other rap albums have but some reason it bothered me less. Perhaps its because the beats throughout the album are fantastic and mixes well with the rapping. Unfortunately it's goes on far too long and the last four tracks are some of the weakest. I definitely had enough by the end. I'm so glad this album didn't have any stupid skits! Highlights: What Up Gangsta In Da Club If I Can't P.I.M.P. Don't Push Me
Never listened to the whole album, interesting to learn about Dre & Eminem's involvement in the album's production and it's success. 50 Cent is not one of my preferred artists when it comes to rap, but you can't deny the power this man packs when his delivery. Spittin venom on some of these tracks and the beats - nice. That's about it though
As far as this stuff goes, I quite liked this.
It was all going so well until Eminem showed up.
I was 20 when this came out and it was huge. I've heard basically all of these songs but I don't think I've ever just listened to the album through. It's not my favorite but it's pretty good. I like it more than most modern hip hop. But not a top hip hop record for me. Would be a 3.5 if I could.
the features on this album... damn. haven't listened to this album since high school - bringing back some strong memories.
Loud, bashful, energetic. I’m not a 50 cent fan by any measure but this was a fun listen, even for this one time. 2.9
Better than a lot of rap but that’s not saying much
The great songs are classics, there is some filler though Many men remains one of the hardest songs of all time Best song: 2️⃣1️⃣❓ Worst song: Poor lil rich P.S: G-UNIT!!!
It's fairly entertaining. Idk, maybe it's his name. I'm more into the 90s vibes.
50 är ganska tråkig med undantag för enstaka riktigt bra låtar.
Not a huge rap fan
Gangsta rap with sung choruses, 50 had both street cred and radio hits. A lot of it starts to sound the same though, and a little too slick in points.
fun gangster rap album. nothing spectacular but a jam
Every time I started to enjoy it - which was pretty often - he took a little time out to be misogynistic and I stopped enjoying it.
very ok for a rap album
This album was highly anticipated and did not let anyone down. It's a really good album full of hits and funny disses of other rappers (Ja Rule, specifically). Gangsta rap isn't for everyone and 50 probably didn't put another album as good as this, but this one needs to be heard. Saying that, much like many rap albums of this era, this album is overlong. A couple of the tracks with guest appearances could have been cut in the middle of the album. For that, I can't give it a five-star rating. I have always had an issue with 50 asking on "21 Questions" if she would hug him if he smelled bad. Put some deodorant on, 50. That's an option you have chosen to smell like shit.
better than i expected, but the album does get repetitive after awhile. there are some cool tracks here, but listening to 50's one flow for over an hour makes this an album i wouldn't want to go back to. 2.5/5
I am shocked that I don’t hate this album. When I saw the cover, I didn’t have much hope. I already hate hip hop and rap for the most part, and I was sure this would be no different. And yeah, I still don’t like the genres. But this album was surprisingly not terrible. In terms of hip hop, it’s quite good, but I just don’t like hip hop. The first three tracks were the best in my opinion, it stayed at about the same level afterwards but I think that’s where it peaked for me. I don’t like 50 Cent any more than I did before. Don’t plan on listening to him again. 7/10 Top 3: 1. Many Men (Wish Death) 2. What Up Gangsta 3. Patiently Waiting
This album was awesome when I was in HS. Now in my 30’s it’s still pretty awesome.
Didn't hate it, actually enjoyed a few songs. I could definitely hear eminem's influence in the production of several songs, but not really something I'd consider an essential album to listen to.
Standard rap album - not great, not terrible
Ultimately, this album is fine but there is little that makes 50 Cent innovative. He certainly wasn't breaking any new ground with his lyrics which don't have any of the vulnerability, humor, or introspection of some of the other hip hop artists on the 1001 album list and his delivery is nothing special. My favorite part of this album was Patiently Waiting which featured Eminem.
I can hear why Eminem decided to sign Mr. Cent. In Da Club is an elite track. The beats will make a white man dance while Mr. Cent’s delivery is on point. There are too many songs for which the music is lacking and/or the subject matters are a turnoff. But the one consistent positive feature is the vocals. Mr. Cent has a real knack for lyrical flow. He can stitch words and verses together in complex ways that sound natural. Eminem is the GOAT of this skill. I hear it in Mr. Cent’s delivery as well to some extent, which almost pulls this up to a 4.
Good enough.
Ok
50 cent on huono räp päri. säkeistöt on kaikki tylssää muminaa jaksanut lyriikoita erityisesti edes kuunnella, äveriäisyydestä ja sutenöörin elämästä kertomuksia... albumia kantaa tarttuvat kertsit ja biitit jotka määrittelevät 2000-luku alun pop hip hopin esque äänen. ihan kivaa kuunneltavaa loppujenlopuksi. if i cant
Very pimp
Good album: Highlights: Many Men In Da Club If I Can’t P.I.M.P 21 Questions Negatives: A lot of DATED beats
In da club
Yup, that’s 50 cent. Some classics on this album like “In Da Club”, “P.I.M.P”, and “21 Questions” that we all sang to when we were younger. I will be giving this a higher rating than I would normally rate this genre/ type of music because it’s 100% better than rap nowadays, gotta give credit where credit is due. 6/10
Had a really similar reaction to James on this one. Irresistibly fun in a group setting, but from a more critical POV, the bar for rap has just been raised so high since this era that it feels a bit sophomoric, they really loved the F-slur in the 2000s huh. I enjoyed the tracks where he was joined by others the most, besides PIMP and In Da Club etc. At the end of the day, I do feel like a bit of a clown/poser listening to material that's speaking to experiences I'll never come into contact with or fantasies I don't share (violent interpersonal conflicts driven by poverty or wild parties) so it's hard for me to fully embrace it.
These are all songs I would be hype to hear at a party. They’re dirty and fun. As an album though I think this leaves a lot to be desired. It’s more a collection of singles. Not that everything has to be a concept album, but this felt very long and repetitive by the end. Would be better as an ep. Also, the beat in Back Down made me think something was wrong with my speakers.
While there are definitely more certified bangers on this album, I still can’t rate highly an album filled with violence/ misogyny etc. I probably would dance to these songs in a party context, but again, they don’t come close to albums made by modern folks like Kendrick
I guess I get why this was included, it was massive when it came out and is solid, but really hasn't aged well as a "classic album." The cheesy gun sound FX sprinkled throughout don't help. Definitely some great tracks like "P.I.M.P" "Many Men" and "21 Questions," but most of the songs follow a similar "minor scale synth riff" format over the entire track, so it all starts to blend together over the 70+ minutes. There are just soooo many better hip hop talents, minds, and albums that are more deserving. Eminem guesting on some tracks is cool, though the side by side comparison really highlights the deficiencies in 50 Cent's slurred, off-the-beat flow style. 3 (will probably listen again)
The album that made 50 Cent. "In Da Club" is still a banger, even 20 years later.the album is solid through and through but doesn't hit the heights of other rappers, such as Kanye, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Wu Tang.
Overall an ok album, definitely has some classics to bring out when hanging out or driving around. Not what I would pick for just casual listening.
This is classic and well deserving of being included. It is a bit samey, both production wise and (shockingly) in terms of lyrical content. Still, it’s fun stuff. Strong 3
I'm not a fan of hip hop or rap, but I have to say I kind of dug this. It just had a good energy, and it had more musicality than most rap I've heard. Still not something I'll probably listen to again but I'm glad I listened to it once at least. 3 stars.
I knew some of the songs, but I’ve never been big on rap
3.5/5. Honestly thought this was not going to be great. Turns out that's not the case. A lot of the songs on here are actually pretty good (for this type of music). Also, the album is kind of funny.
This album got no place in the 1001 albums you have to listen to. There's some enjoyable tracks like In Da Club, P.I.M.P and 21 Questions. I would say that there's way better, and way worse, hip hop out there.
No offence to 50 but gangsta rap feels so bland compared to conscious and alternative hip hop.
Could have been a 4 if they would have trim some of the fat. Did not need to be that long.
i basically have the same sentiments for all 90s/early 2000s rap albums i get on here. they’re fine. not bad by any means but really never anything special. rather just listen to TPAB again
Not exactly a hip hop masterpiece, but certainly THE rap blockbuster album of 2005. Some fillers, but mostly a long string of cuts that slap hard, thank to Dre's production and 50 Cent's distinct flow. I will always prefer more conscious strands of hip hop rather than this gangsta rap thing (and oddly, enough, also favor *some* of the sonic explorations of the recent trap subgenre, even if the lyrics are mostly dumb). That said, this album is culturally relevant as a whole. 3/5 for the purposes of this list of essential albums, translating to a 8/10 grade for more general purposes (5+3). Number of albums left to review: 470 Number of albums from the list I find relevant enough to be mandatory listens: 252. Albums from the list I *might* include in mine later on: 122 (including this one) Albums from the list I will certainly *not* include in mine (many others are more essential to me): 157
Ah a classic from my youth!! 😂
No
overcompensating much?
Bangers, but also not bangers
Initially thought this one would be a complete disaster, but it's even listenable partially
OK rap album, some catchy songs, but way, way too long. score: 6/10
It flows quite ok, with some ear catching tunes like PIMP.
Patiently Waiting, Many Men, In da Club, If I Can’t, Back Down, P.I.M.P. (Best song) and 21 Questions. Eminem has the best two versus. Half the songs are eh but some great ones. 50’s voice is not that great to me. The beginning of mumble rap. 🤡
I was so close to taking a pass but my son told me some cool stories about the guy so I gave it a go. No real comment on the album or reasons for my rating.
Hard to believe this 20 years old. And I'm sure this was cutting edge when this came out. Now, it just seems too... braggadocious. Of course the songs with Eminem are elevated and seem up another level. 50 Cent's delivery just never seems very impassioned in comparison to rappers like Eminem. He has some flow, but it just feels like it's all a game to him, like he's not taking it seriously and giving it his all. The songs that have the gun cocking noise are just... yawn, particularly the one that does it OVER and OVER. It got really annoying. I liked the steel drums in "P.I.M.P." that was cool. The album didn't need to be over 70 minutes though. That was just... way too much. So shorten the album up, and sound like you're giving more effort, I guess?
Some definite bangers on this album, and it's hard not to bop your head along to those great songs that helped define a decade. But overall, I'm not sure this is a great album, and the misogyny and violence just grow wearing after a while. Oh, for some Kendrick Lamar on this list ... 3/5 in recognition of impact and a few great songs
DiD yOu KnOw He WaS sHoT nInE tImEs? I don’t know if Spotify just ripped a poor quality version of this or something but it sounds like the kick drums are peaking throughout a lot of the album? Very strange In Da Club and P.I.M.P are both great and there are some other pretty decent songs on here as well - I actually really enjoyed the bonus tracks and they were better than quite a lot of the rest of the album. This record really had the industry in a chokehold 20 years ago and I get the hype around it - it’s a great story, the singles are massive, and 50’s flow is super confident and easy to listen to. That being said, it’s a very inconsistent album, some of the beats are mid, and where he does try to switch up his flow (Like My Style for example) it sounds very awkward
One thing I've learned from this site is that I like rap more than I thought. Still not much of a fan. Before, I'dve said I disliked 90%. Now, I'd say more like 75%. This album was kind of enjoyable. Don't know that I'd listen again, but I kind of got in the groove.
3,5
Great debut album, loved most of it
So that’s where the “party like it’s your birthday” thing came from! Otherwise, it’s… a rap album.
A surprisingly enjoyable album with great rhymes, head-bobber beats and some great guest appearances.
I liked this more than I expected, at least in the beginning. But lots of bloat and duds dragged it down for sure.
Such a hit back in the day but never will be a classic
10th May 2023 Listened mainly on the Thursday while working from home, writing Sav’s best man speech and living room cabinets fitted. Few bangers on here (in da club, PIMP, 21 questions) but it is overly long with some repetitive beats.
Not my thing but solid
I entered yet another hip hop album with trepidation. It's not my genre and so many of them are just about the words. This though felt a bit more musical, interesting, listenable. I like his rapping style and it has momentum. Look, all rap is of its time and time has moved on, but I enjoyed this.
Nostalgia gives it an extra star for me.
Not my genre. However I found this particularly well done. Instrumentals were right on point with the lyrics. Lyrics were well stated and 'vulgar' words were appropriate to the storyline, not added gratuitously
Makes me regret staying in school.
Not for me
Feeling the melody underneath the gangsta pose.
Honestly, I am surprised this album is on this list and even still after listening to it. That being said, it was better than I was expecting. Several bangers. Several good guest performances. The songs didn't all sound the same. But not a whole lot of substance other than the overarching message that you shouldn't really fuck with Fiddy and then expect to continue on with your day.
I went in to this with really low expectations, but I came away with a mild appreciation for this album. I don't think 50 Cent is a particularly great rapper, but I thought a lot of the songs on here were catchy and decent to listen to. I think of gangsta rap as being a bit on the niche side of things, so I find it impressive that 50 Cent was able to have some songs like "In Da Club" and "P.I.M.P." that are really well known across popular culture. I thought "Heat" and "If I Can't" were really good and catchy as well. My biggest complaint, other than the fact that 50 Cent just isn't that great of a rapper, is that the songs were really self-aggrandizing. Granted, that might just be a facet of gangsta rap that comes with the territory. Overall, this was a pretty good album, and I think it's a good representation of what gangsta rap was like in the aughts, but it's not something I'm keen to listen to again.
I couldn't seem to access anything but a radio friendly edit type version of this album on YouTube music, which degrades the rapping a lot. Some outstanding moments, but overall a little flat, particularly as regards the music which is largely generic and repetitive beats.
The year is 2008 and I have recently joined the Lake Steven’s Select basketball program. My private school, virgin-Christian ears had barely ever heard rap. But my new teammates blast 50 cent all the time. I was scared, horrified and a little confused. 15 years later, I return to this album. It is honestly better than I remember! It’s interesting having nostalgia for something I didn’t like at the time.
I didn’t enjoy this album much when I first listened to it. Since then, my opinion has improved from below average to… just average. It’s a fine rap album, but it doesn’t even come close to being the best.
“In da club” is a banger. The beats hit. The guests are great. But on the whole, I feel this is less than the sum of its parts.
Nice good stuff pleasant surprise
i didn't hate this which was a big surprise. i mean there is far too many skits and liberal usage of the n word thrown about and its about 5 hours long so there is still a lot to hate about it. it's also heavily linked to the shitty nightclubs i used to frequent in my teens so there must be some weird sympathy towards it.
Some classic hiphop, some decent tracks on here.
Interesting beats; average texts and delivery.
there are definitely some good songs here but Im not sure why this album was an immediate hit 3.5
Better than I expected. Surprised there is nothing mentioning that the song "Back Down" just uses Goblin's "Suspira" as a backing track.
Hard to listen to the gratuitous violence that defines many of these songs, but the radio hits still sound pretty good, which surprised me. The samples and the groove in 'P.I.M.P.' is absolutely irresistible. I found myself admiring the beats in lots of these songs.
Not something I'd put on myself but this works. Holds up surprisingly well - the beats moreso than the lyrics. Peak CD era length is exhausting though.
Feels so very much of the time. A lot of "hits" that seemingly persist to this day. Definitely an odd feel for gansta-rap and pretty much a strong debut. But, it's all bravado and no substance for me.
Eh
Classic 50
Aside from the hits which are a real bop, nothing special. 3/5
Pretty good, though most of my favorite tracks were the big singles. Though this is probably my first time ever hearing the songs uncensored lol 50 is pretty fierce with his delivery, he sounds hungry and determined throughout. Production is good, too.
6/10
I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would: enough to feel mildly ashamed, at least.
Gangsta rap with catchy tracks. Liked "P.I.M.P".
Not relatable. The hits are still great though.
Two thoughts: 75 minutes is an excellent effort for a debut album. 50 Cent has an obsession with imagery of gunshot wounds to the head.
Enjoyed more than I thought I would, a solid 3.5, goes on a litttle too long
Some catchy beats. Not a ton of variety. Quite long. Not my favorite.
In the same way, as many other hip-hop albums, it's too dependent on its context, but it's not a bad album. Of course, more than 1 hour of 50's gangsta stuff could be annoying for some people, but "In da Club" is an anthem of 2000's rap, and his influence is undeniable, even being dated.
I'm not familiar with this album other than the singles. It's just okay for me. The lyrics made me chuckle at times, and some tracks had a sound I liked, but overall the lyrics and production didn't do much for me.
Liked this more than expected, but still, I don't see myself coming back to this either. 3.25/5
Not the sort of thing I listen to but I liked this. Tunes interesting and rapping kinda low key and brutal. It reminds me of a mix of a few other styles I like (Fugees and funnily enough Eminem). All in all it's good to listen to. I may never listen to it again but who knows?
Good
Enjoyed the music, but not the gangster rapping - almost switched off after hearing the early lyric about looking for "a slut with a nice butt for me to do my nut". Why are these people not lambasted and ostracised by Society? Unacceptable. But good music and production by Dre. So a reluctant 3 stars for the music.
A well known album with very tight beats and cool sounds designs. I am not very much into Rap music and have my question marks especially on Gangsta Rap. Maybe it’s a good thing here that I dont exactly know what is really going on in the lyrics.
There is some rap in this gangsta.
Hip-hop con canciones con melodía. Estilo típico. Artista de reconocimiento. Para los muy fanáticos, aunque se puede escuchar en cualquier situación
When this came out, I was BIG into hip hop. I never understood why this one got so much love. Average-ish beats. It's just nothing special to me...
A mixed bag
Was not expecting this album to be here, but alright. It's a nice little nostalgia trip to the 2000s, when hip hop artists ruled the airwaves alongside their collaborations with R&B ladies of the era. The singles - particularly P.I.M.P. and 21 Questions - are the strongest tracks on this album, but some of the deep cuts made for fun throwback listens too. As with most hip hop records this was a few tracks too long, but not bad at all for a 74 minute flashback.
El disco me gustó tanto como me puede gustar el hip hop. Es un gran debut y se nota la escuela de Dre y Eminem que fueron productores ejecutivos. Demasiado largo para mi gusto pero en general no se siente como un disco más del género, se nota un estilo propio.
Better than I expected, but like many rap albums released in the early 2000s, it's far too long.
Most of his hits are here
Bileräpin klassikko. Oon yllättynyt, miten vähän huono tää oli. 3/5.
Although I didn't like all the songs of the album, I recognize its huge influence on the gangsta rap scene. In Da Club is a classic.
Firstly; big shoutout to 50 for not plastering this is skits and interludes. He’s got something to prove and demands for the name 50 Cent to be respected. I appreciate that. I haven’t heard this album in it’s full length since… 6th-7th grade maybe. And I fully expected it to be horribly outdated, silly and maybe even just plain bad. And while some of the aspects of the album hasn’t aged that great and the strange balance of seriousness and fooling around is a bit crazy, i was a bit surprised that this is by no means a bad record. Quite the contrary. Among the outdated things, some of the lyrics really hasn’t aged that great; “P.I.M.P.” and 50 rapping about a fax machine and a Subaru in “High All the Time”. The production and beats are most certainly a personal preference; but somehow I actual came to enjoy the nostalgia of something sounding like it’s straight outta Los Santos Radio. 50 Cent you bona fide legend. I feel a strong 3,5 / 5 on this.
I really love many men. The whole albums pretty good. Sometimes it got a little boring.
Eh, it's good gangster rap. Lyrics aren't unique, flow is decent, beats are pretty good at points, album doesn't really have an interesting concept. It's fine.
наконец-то настоящая музыка!
I kinda like the Caribbean rap sound. Some sound too similar to each other, though.
Many Men, PIMP and Don't Push Me are highlights for me. It is definitely swagger focused and it gets a little old... not nearly as annoying as kid rock swagger, but it sadly reminded me of that. Overall an interesting listen and parts were enjoyable.
Surprised myself by enjoying this but the shine wore off as it went on
High school, is that you I'm hearing??? Nostalgia but also bleh.
Meh. Couple of old nostalgic classics but that's it.
A few good songs, a lot of unremarkable songs that seems like background gangsta music.
A lot of rap / hip-hop is tough in an album format. Filter out the singles and the features, you're left with a lot of meh that shouldn't have been recorded. And that's what you get with 50 Cent's 'Get Rich Or Die Tryin'". His backstory and mythology made him popular with this album's release. Tie that in with the hit singles and Eminem collaborations, you've got some good tracks. But the filler drags this album down. The sound didn't age well, combined with the constant G-Unit shoutouts made this listening experience drag on. The album could've been 15 minutes shorter and been more successful. 3/5.
3.4 - never listened to this before. Solid album of harder ramp, enjoyed the singles I’d heard elsewhere more than anything I discovered on this listen, but it was a worthwhile listen. The rhythm guitar on “In da club” will never not bring a smile to my face.
There is some good stuff on here, but the filler is pretty mediocre. Definitely could have cut a few tracks and it would have made for a better album.
Classic for its time but not sure it aged well
I’m rappin I’m rappin
I like the singles, and I like the collabs with other artists. But other than that, Mr Cent was not singing the songs for me. But then I don’t think he was trying to…
06/03/2022 Outside of the single, there's not much here that's happening or really standing-out as an "all timer."
Incredibly dull and features extremely monotone vocals, which were sadly a symptom of rap turning to shit in this era. Still, a hell of a lot better than Lil (insert random noun) and the rest of today's auto-tuned shit merchants.
Obviously some tracks were basically part of the soundtrack to my high school years but it’s just not really for me. A lot of the rhymes feel very predictable to me and the production feels very inconsistent.
it lumbers along, like a truck in traffic - no flow, the beats are really obvious and heavily emphasised. a dull listen
There are some memorable songs from the past on here, but the whole album is bloated and kind of repetitive. He is in no way a great lyricist and his delivery is mediocre at best. Some of the subject matter has not aged well. 2.5/5 Probably won't listen again
Could’ve cut half the tracks
Very little to say about this. Very braggadocios from 50, but not that impressed by his lyrics or choice of music. Very repetitive beats. I was impressed to learn that his hard-man bragging was based on his early life, I'm glad the music is based on authentic experience. Otherwise, not great and I didn't personally enjoy it, but also I don't object to it on a moral or pseudo-moral basis like a lot of these other reviews seem to.
Not for me, but I recognize that it is good if you like this genre of music
This is the kind of phone it in hip-hop that I don't care for. It's just lazy. There's no working the syncopation of the lyrics to the beat. It's hip-hop karaoke. Throw as many guest appearances as we can afford so that 50 looks better. Add on top of that the ridiculously violent "don't fuck with me" crap. And it just.. sounds... old. And not in a good way.
not as good as the video game
ok I guess, but not for me. Collab with Eminem is pretty good and In Da CLub is good.
Boring. Mediocre.
1,8/5
This was better than some of the other rap on this list. He had some variety and lyrics were not as rough, though still not great.
Many men is alright and the album isn’t great
Meh-still don’t care for this style but did appreciate there was some variation in tempos on album
No doubt the guy can rap well. But the subject matter bores the crap out of me.
No the worst rap album I have ever heard but very monotone and basically an excuse to illiterate misogyny and the n-word. was worth listening to the full album to hear snoop rap to steel drums. :)
It was okay. Not too great.
What Up Gangsta In Da Club
he's a better documentarian than musician lmao
Forgettable and long. They would have been better served to put twice as much effort into half as many tracks. I don’t even think 50 Cent is well respected in the rap community so his place here is questionable. The album isn’t groundbreaking or interesting. It plays like a B-grade rapper ruining some tracks from Dr. Dre’s sketch pad.
wasn't awful but i didnt rlly like the songs that much
It’s funny to me listening to this as an album and not just sporadically, spurred on by nostalgia. Must admit some of the slappers on the album still seem to slap
Some all time classics, some all time shitty songs. Sometimes they're the same ones! But overall wouldn't want to listen to this album 99/100 opportunities 🙏
Not sure this has aged well. Some big tunes and although I won’t revisit better than expected.
I love gangster rap! But this wasn’t that great…the best parts were Eminem’s parts. I’M SORRY FOFTY!
Naaaa
A couple songs were pretty catchy, and the duo with Eminem was great, but it's just not really my genre.
Fiddy likes bitches, his niggas, popping caps in said niggas' asses, getting high, money, jewellery. This album is the sound of pure dumb testosterone and drive-by shootings. I hate what it represents, but there are some interesting raps and beats.
Iconic and all but eh. A boring macho sodge
Idk man, a fun ambient listen but all the horrible macho talk of guns and bitch etc. is very fatiguing and dated.
I just can't get on board with gangsta rap like this that much, when it's someone like Snoop Dogg there's at least a wit and humour that's in there that makes it engaging, but with this it's just like I'M GONNA SHOOT YA and it makes me yawn. OK big tough boy. There are some good beats in here though, so idk
This kind of rap can be hit or miss for me. Even from song to song. There’s some really good stuff here, but it’s hidden amongst a bunch of stuff I really don’t like. I’d also argue it’s too long for its own good. I was checking how much longer was left after every song, starting less than halfway through.
I assumed this would be more nostalgic, but I don't really care for it.
Wasn’t feeling it. I don’t like the one song I know and I don’t like the production. I didn’t get that far on, four of five songs maybe, so don’t take my word for it. I need some geetar music.
Not as bad as some of the other rap I've had to listen to, not great though either.
Remember the hits from this album when they came out. There are good grooves and pulls but the genre itself is just not for me. I ended up listening to half of the album.
There’s a theme here. Hip hop is not my thing but I can’t give any album a one star. I may think the lyrics are just macho man bullshit but it gets my head nodding when I’m driving
Nice beats but I find his lyrics a bit dull despite the odd great line so it really drags for the second half. Some hooks are good (In Da Club) some are annoying (PIMP).
No private session used for Spotify. Catchy, but prolific use of the N word makes me realize this was not made for me.
Couldn't finish, not something I enjoy at all.
Not really interested in this. 2 stars or D+.
Some of these are just my white suburban high school dance flashbacks. Other than that, a sort of whatever hip hop album for me, no hidden gems. 2* Highlights: in da club, pimp
Album #59, 50 Cent, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ ⭐⭐ I used to be a huge hip-hop fan when I was younger, but I never really listened to 50 Cent, so this was my first time hearing this one. Yeah, it’s okay. It’s your typical gangster rap, super-rich bling rap, which I was never really a big fan of. I like gangster rap and I like excessive violence in songs, and he definitely leans into that, but the whole being rich thing, I just can’t relate to. Nothing really grabbed me. The singles are probably the best tracks. “In Da Club” is one of the most recognisable songs ever, in my opinion. Everybody knows it, and it’s very good, it gets you pumped up. But I’m not really convinced by his voice. He has a good flow and he’s an okay lyricist, but there’s nothing that really made me laugh, think, or feel intimidated by his braggadocio. I wouldn’t call him a great lyricist. His voice can be quite monotonous, and when he tries to sing or switch it up, it just sounds a bit weak. It’s not a particularly strong voice. He feels more like an image than anything else. I get why he was such a big star, he’s very marketable, but musically I don’t really see why this album is on this list. I’ve fallen out of love with hip-hop a bit over the years, especially because of the misogyny, and a lot of this kind of stuff just hasn’t aged well for me. I kind of cringe now thinking about how much I used to listen to and rap along to this kind of thing. That said, if I put on something like Illmatic or The Infamous, I’d still say they’re amazing albums. I just don’t think this is anywhere near that level. So yeah, it’s a two star for me.
Just don’t get this one.
Low ranking because of personal taste. Did like the last track though. Also forgot this has In Da Club on it.
Not rhe style of music i usually go for but I liked In Da Club and Don’t Push Me the most.
5/10 Long and repetitive. Nice beats/production though. I don't mind violence/murder as a subject matter, but constantly glorifying and bragging about it does get kinda obnoxious real quick. Highlight: Patiently Waiting What Up Gangsta
I struggled to get through some tracks coz the lyrics were so trashy - like Poor Lil Rich. The album revolved around money, power and fame. Sure the storytelling and cohesion was quite impressive. And honestly the production was incredibly catchy - like PIMP and In Da Club are hits for a reason. But it would definitely not be an album I listen to again in its entirety - one listen was enough.
Other than his personal life story I don’t really hear anything fantastic here. The beats are ok but too repetitive, which I get is the point for laying some dope rhymes over, but I couldn’t find anything to care about in the subject matter so some musical variation would have been nice. I live so far away from his reality that I can only fantasize about these stories so I’m gonna need some better backing tracks than this if I’m gonna care about this as some kind of great musical statement. But hey like with anything, with enough listens maybe there will be some sections that I can get stuck in my head and want to groove to. However ANYBODY who uses the “N” word on their albums, depending on how many times it’s used, will always make it harder for me to want to listen to it again therefore lessening the chances of learning this album properly. So if saying the “N” word is not a good thing to do anymore can we all please finally refrain from using it in music? But I’m totally for free speech so I guess if sections of music using the “N” word get stuck in my head I suppose it can just stay there in my head.
I'm not as upset about the content of the lyrics as much as I am mad about how poorly written the lyrics are. There must be thousands of hip-hop albums out there better than this one. So why did this one in particular make the list? Puzzling. At least I enjoyed it sonically.
I wanted to enjoy this. I did not enjoy this.
If any genre of music deserves to be rejected on principle, it's gangsta rap. If you try to be a little more impartial, you end up with this: a petty criminal becomes famous because Eminem likes his mixtape and gets him Dr. Dre's beats. Admittedly, the beats on “Get Rich Or Die Tryin'” aren't actually that bad. But what about the rest? I remember well that the marketing for this album always revolved around the story of the nine bullets. Even back then, I found that a frighteningly simplistic argument for the quality of a music album.
1. alright folks, here we go. 2. Okay, catchy, once again, not my genre, but it's not too bad. 3. I really don't even know what to say. This is so clearly not anything that i will be able to connect to or appreciate. This is not my kind of music, you could make a good point saying that i should broaden my horizon but 'you can't go forcing something if it's just not right'. 4. Every single one of these songs sounds the same. Okay this intro is different though. WAIT I actually like this one. wait it lost me again. It's catchy i must admit. Wait it definitely hasnt lost me. This one's good. 5. Okay this one's such a classic, i know fuck all about 50 cent but i know this song, everyone does, it's so catchy. 6. idk just forgettable. This whole album is a little forgettable. 7. Yeah this sin't my thing. im giving up GOD PLEASE BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY IM SORRYYYYYYYYY BUT THEre's just no reason for me to keep wasting time on something that I know I won't want to listen to ever again, even if there is som ehidden gem in one of these albums that im missing out on them, but I'm just not willing to put a lot of effort into finding it with nothing but faith on my side, it's just not worth it to me. my bad.
I like most of it, but it goes on a bit, couple of decent tracks to enjoy
Well if it was for the beat and the flow, I'd be tempted to give it a 4 but then I listened to the words and took 2 stars off my rating :( . No redeeming quality there.
Not for me. At least the cover and the title are amusing.
Not for me. This type of "music" does nothing for me, although this album was more tuneful than most of it's kind.
Meh
I tried, but nothing of what I already didn’t enjoy about Fiddy from the songs I already knew was changed by hearing the album. Sometimes I just can’t get with some rappers style of delivery. Not only is that true here, now that I’ve heard the whole album, I actually maintain what I always thought; that he’s not good at doing the thing he does. His flow is thoroughly expressionless, the stupid little vocal melodies he sometimes attempts are weak and he never sounds like he believes he can even do them, and nothing about what he’s on about gives me any wish to try harder. He did get rich, but he doesn’t sound like he could’ve died trying; he sounds like he couldn’t have tried any less.
I’m indifferent to this. There are some ok tracks on here, but also some pretty poor tracks too. It’s a very ‘mid’ 2000s rap/hip hop album, which means it sits in the lower quartile of all rap/hip hop ever made.
Los sencillos son unos clásicos y buenísimas canciones... el resto me pareció muy aburrido
This was....fine. Better than expected. Learned know does indeed rhyme with blow.
Okay.
Not for me. Some jams on there but hard to tell if I just like them for nostalgia reasons. Too much misogyny.
379/1089 - Lethargic and repetitive. Songs are somewhat varied which is alright but I don't care for the very 2000s sounding instrumentals.
Standouts In Da Club If I Can't P.I.M.P.
This is mandatory listening for this era of hip-hop but it doesn't mean it's great. When it came up I assumed it was an easy three but this kind of sucks. All of the rhymes are monosyllabic and the flow is so dry. The attitude of this and some of the samples are pretty much all it has going for it. Not great, should be on the list, New York is lucky they had Biggie and The Wutang.
this album was the second reason i had to pause on reviewing albums. sue me but i couldn’t get through it. giving it a 2 because i think in isolation some of the songs are good but as a collection i was so bored
Incredibly generic. Exactly what I think of when I think of mainstream rap music. About as edgy as Taylor Swift.
2.4. Few slappers intertwined with slop
Production goes crazy on a lot of this record, and “In Da Club” is always a super fun time. The nursing homes are gonna be lit in 2050. The whole gangsta rap/thug core shit is so tired and really unpleasant to listen to. Ok, it may have been close to his life (that seems unreliable.) But at this stage of my life, I don’t want to be subjected to it.
Typical Hip Hop but at least I finally learned where go that "Its your birthday" saying.
Didn't enjoy it.
Wished I had liked this a lot more, but really "In da Club" is just hard carrying this whole thing. That song is in such a completely different league to the rest of the album. Not really a fan of 50's flow on some of these songs. There's a few bright spots though. Just not enough. High 2
A formulaic approach to gangsta rap that relies heavily on Dr. Dre’s polished production and 50’s knack for catchy choruses.
Hay algunas canciones conocidas y dentro de todo copadas. Pero 20 canciones de Rap seguidas es demasiado para mi.. el álbum es muy largo y no lo suficientemente bueno.
It could be worse, but not much.
Well bugger me...Its OK. I probably need to go self flagellate to repente for my musical sins. The key to my mild enjoyment of this is the blend of rap, story and an actual musical theme. Most rap on 1001 is about as musically accomplished as a bunch of school kids on a recorder. I like the collaborations as well. 50 Cents self proclaimed favourite white boy was cool. later sections of album was dog wank however. If they used the best bits probably a reasonable album in here (too long). The middle to end seemed like a pop tastic club centred album. I am not converted to hip hop but didnt mind this.
I’ve never heard this album. This was right around the time I kind of aged out of hip-hop. However, you couldn’t escape the singles of the album, especially In Da Club. That was a monster, and it was quite good. I think several factors made 50 Cent one of the new kings of hip-hop. One was that he had the backing of Dr. Dre and Eminem. That’s almost a golden ticket to wealth and fame, but there have been some misses from those two. Also, 50 Cent had a very unique voice and delivery. He was a mumbler, maybe that’s why most rappers today seem to be speaking an alien language. But one of the biggest factors in making him a superstar, he had a good story. Shot nine times and survived? Had to leave town for fear of being hit again? Brilliant PR, except I guess it wasn’t? But it sure was made known to everyone. Plus, as we now know, he is great at doing business, or at least his agents or mangers are. As for the album, meh. I just can’t get excited about hip-hop these days. Maybe it's because you hear it during SportsCenter highlights, in every commercial, it's just everywhere and nowhere at once. Hip-hop is Muzak now. There’s no danger or intrigue. It’s just a bunch of anomalous beats to hear when finding out how many home runs Shohei Otani hit. I gave this a listen, but beyond the singles, it all sounds bland to me. At least with Run DMC a few days back, it brought nostalgia. I think much like rock, hip-hop is dead, as in, there are no exciting, dangerous artists out there anymore. It’s just a bunch of guys trying to get rich and are figuratively dying trying. If you’re a hip-hop fan, I’m probably lame, but I think you can live a very happy life without hearing this whole album. Maybe just check out the singles, In Da Club, Many Men, and P.I.M.P.
Of course Len Houmous’ famous approach was the ‘Almost Died Getting Rich’ as we know from Houmous & Chutneys famous album of the same name. Denoting their fast track to stardom during the Korean War whilst still serving in the Dutch Army. 1.8 4/20 Many Men (Wish Death)
Washed the car to this... As far as gangster rap goes this is of a higher quality than dre and snoop. But I'm getting more than my tolerance worth and still got 4 songs left to go. Eminem's passages do add to the songs both lyrically and as a change of pace and flow. But this album won't sway my opinion that g-rap was a step backwards in hip-hop culture.
Je reconnais des musiques qui sont entrées dans les classiques du Rap US et je pense que l’album a clairement impacté la musique à l’époque, mais là, en 2025, ça n’a pas tres bien vieilli
Checks all the gangsta rap boxes
Really not my thing. All bling and guns. That said, In Da Club got popular because it's a great track.
Haha here we go! Produktionen är ändå fet. Och hitsen är ju där. Omslaget otroligt. Men det var inte min grej då och är det inte nu heller tyvärr
Min uppfattning har varit att folk som gillar hip-hop ser ner på 50-cent, men det verkar ju vara helt fel eftersom han är med här? Det var ändå lite skoj att lyssna på.
Need for speed underground-core! Har ju några feta hits men känns väl inte så elektriskt 22 år senare.
Not really my thing
I don’t think I’ll ever love this genre. This one is noticeably better than many but still high on the mudda fukka and nigga count. Not really my bag
Rap. Nix für mich.
The beats hit but nothing goes hard as in da club. Too bad 50 Cent became a weird MAGA weirdo
The singles are strong, rhythm and hook, the flow is strong but there’s only so much hyper-masculine posturing before everything turns camp.
