I kind of went back and forth between a 1 and a 2 because it's objectively not *that* bad and has some genuinely good moments. But ultimately for me, it's just so stressful and unfun to listen to.

If that annoying sea shanty trend from 2020 was a whole album. A few songs I was okay with but overall just found this very irritating and I kind of hated it.

Deerhunter
4/5
More like 3.5-3.75 but I'll round up.
Adele
3/5
I honestly do like the singles off this album a good bit, but the other songs are all much more minimal in terms of instrumentation and I don't think the songwriting is interesting enough to support that. Great voice though.

4/5
I'm a big fan of short. It lets me listen to your album multiple times which helps it grow on me. Which this one did actually. Probably not a big The Cure fan overall but I wound up liking this more than I thought I would. A Forest sounds like a Porcupine Tree song.
George Harrison
