Some Ross Williams sounding shit
Boring and bland. I remember hearing this type of music everywhere when I was a child, I hated it then and I hate it now.
Right, here we go, day 1! Solid start to the journey, avoiding some of the more controversial albums on the list that will go down better once I’m settled into the routine. Having heard a few individual songs from this record before, I was relieved when I saw it as album 1 and dived in with a fair amount of anticipation. And for the most part was not disappointed. The highs here are high, “Black Hole Sun” and “Let Me Drown” being in my top 2. I just feel that it went on a bit too long with a run time of 70 minutes, maybe cutting a few of the tracks would have been beneficial. That being said, I can see why it’s regarded as one of the defining albums of its genre and would be one I’d like to return to in the future. Overall, I’ll go with 3.5, but that might increase over time. Looking forward to what the next 3 and a bit years will bring!

Great record, easily in the top 5 Beatles solo records. “Imagine’ gets a lot of flack for being overplayed and maybe rightly so, but tracks like ‘Jealous Guy’ and ‘I Don’t Wanna…’ are outstanding. And ‘Oh My Love’ is an underrated gem. 4.5
The album that changed my life. Would give 500 stars if I could.
Class album, second best McCartney solo record, only behind Ram which somehow doesn’t make this list.
Any album with Wild Horses and Moonlight Mile is a guaranteed 5.
1. Build a time machine 2. Go back to California in 1968 3. Commit murder in a cocaine binge 4. Witness the best live album of all time being recorded No regrets

Sad funky futuristic retro beats. Class.
*shudder*
Some albums deserve all the recognition they get and this is one of them. Too many top tier tracks to name, even Fitter Happier is class. Easy 5/5.
It was a solid 2 until the song about loving another cunt, at that point I said nah I’m out, this is a 1.
Masterpiece. The complete opposite of what everyone else was doing at the time. Mr Davies stuck to his guns, legend!
How anyone could give this anything by 5 is beyond me.
Horrible.
Favourite Bowie album for sure. Shows his genius in so many ways, each song a masterclass.
I was 15 when the album came out and I fell in love with it, it really helped me discover a whole world of music. If possible I’d give a 4.5 as a couple of songs could have been left off the record. But my 15 year old self wouldn’t forgive me if I gave it a 4 so has to be a 5.
Love how the band change their style for this record but are still recognisable. Beetlebum and Song 2 have got to be up there as one of the best opening two tracks on any album. Death of a Party is a real highlight, as is Graham Coxon’s You’re So Great.
I was once thrown out and barred from a pub for playing the unedited title track on the jukebox 6 times in a row. No regrets.
Would like to try some of what the Mercury Prize panel were smoking in 2003
Most appropriate title on the list?

Absolutely no need for 2 Adele albums on the list

My favourite Beatles album. Although, replace Yellow Submarine with Paperback Writer and Rain and you’ve easily got the greatest album of all time.
Laughed out loud multiple times throughout at how dreadful this is.
Smooth FM shite
First album I fell in love with. I remember listening endlessly on my Sony Walkman portable CD player. A lot of albums from UK guitar bands in the 90s haven’t stood the rest of time, but this isn’t one of them. An all time great in my opinion and more than deserving of its place on the list. Shout out to Bob Hardy, bass guitar on this record is class.
