Reviews (page 7 of 7)

If you forget the fact that Morrissey is an asshole it’s a decent album but…Morrissey is an asshole.

Instrumentals are good, not a fan of his voice

Too much Morrissey on this list.

found my head bobbing along but not something i will return to

It's Morrissey. Either you love him or you hate him. This one's a bit of a snooze.

Pre-listen note - just had Meat is Murder 2 days ago. Good, not great. Not sure I have the patience for more Morrissey unless it's The Queen is Dead. Dude can sing, though. Track 1 sounds great. Rest of the album, pretty boring

I’ve tried so hard to like Morrissey but everything is just so one note.

Not my cup of tea.

Bland.

Its Morrissey alright, but what is he on about?

Vocally and musically this was all fine and good. But Morrissey's solo stuff will never sound like anything more than really watered-down Smiths songs. This loses one star simply because every single song made me want to just go listen to The Smiths: so off I go.

It's fine, not in my view one of Morrissey's better solo albums.

I think Morissey had a superbly distinct voice, but that's all this album has

Not as good as the Smiths and he's such an awful person that he loses a star, because we probably shouldn't listen to it anyway.

* sigh *, hey you know what? That was boring. Why so many Morrissey's album on this list? Who knows.

I don’t know, but I just don’t get Morrisey.

Not into this. It's like bad 80s music, but from the 90s.

If memory serves me correctly, the last two albums of Morrissey we received started off with catchy guitar hooks and then deteriorated into maudlin, "woe is me" ballads. On this one, he dives into the stinkers straight away. Although there are a couple of listenable tracks on the album, I'm still disappointed that these three Morrissey albums were deemed 1001-worthy and albums by the Killers or Songhoy Blues were yanked, so I'm deducting a point.

One either hates or loves Morrissey’s melancholic, whiney, maudlin voice. I’m in the former camp. Although he’s mellowed out considerably and this is better than his usual dreck, I still wouldn’t listen to this again.

Last time this generator gave me a Morrissey record, the Queen died the very same day. I'm interested to see what huge historical event happens today. The Smiths slap, but Morrissey's solo career is bland as rice cakes. Historical Event Update: Okay, so the Russians blew up a Ukrainian dam and caused "the largest European man-made disaster in decades". This is your fault, Morrissey.

I can usually separate the man from the music but Morrissey sounds like such an insufferable twat I can’t get past it. Always surprised by how decent the tunes are though.

A Morrissey moaner of little note. It lacks the mystery and magic of the rest of the Smiths while all of the downsides of Morrissey at his least compelling.

I don’t get it

I like Morrissey, but not this album.

Meh. Didn't waste my time but nothing grabbed me.

Meh. Not my cup of tea. 2/5

Before starting this music review project, I’d only ever heard Hang The DJ by Moz. I’d always avoided his music because, by all accounts, he’s a horrible racist person who doesn’t deserve a platform. Unfortunately, from the other Moz albums and Smiths album, I did find myself somewhat enjoying the music. I go into this album today again wanting to dislike it, but we shall see. Songs I already knew: none Favourites: The More You Ignore Me The Closer I Get I’ve definitely come across this album title before. The fact that it was already on my radar made me expect this to be one of his better albums, but I think this is quite easily the worst album I’ve heard by Morrissey. There were occasional bits that stuck out as interesting, but for the most part it was simply very boring. Usually, I’ll power through each album in a day. This album has put me behind schedule as I just couldn’t be bothered continuing with it yesterday so left it later than I’d have liked to.

Not sure why this one is on the list. I've heard of "Morrissey" before but didn't expect him to be this. Kind of a, I don't even know. Just a dude wailing. Good for him, not for us.

Old Morrissey, the lead singer of the Smiths. Notorious as of late for being a dick with some bizarre political beliefs. Can I separate that from the music? Well, yeah, I’m not much of a fan to begin with. But seeing tracks with titles like “The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get” and “Used to be a Sweet Boy” are funny with that context. The music is okay and his voice is fine, a bit too ephemeral to leave an impression but it’s totally tolerable. Just wafted by me like an old fart (good term for Morrissey, yeah?). Buddy, you aren’t hated for loving, you’re hated for being a piece of shit. Favorite tracks: I Am Hated for Loving. Album art: He was ready for his close-up. Looks like a dad who would yell at a stewardess. 2.5/5

Morrissey bums me out

Diet smiths

Not a huge fan in the first place but this is a huge step down from his Smiths work

The clever lyrics of how he actually is the asshole people say he is turned out to be true. Triple bluff.

ahhh????! как- то мимо пролетело ...

There are a couple songs that I know here, but I feel like they aren’t his best. Not sure why this album was so lauded when it was released. Snooze fest.

I was a massive Smiths fan in the 80s & 90s, but by the time Vauxhall & I came out, I had given up on Morrissey.

too much of the same

I do not like Morrissey as a person, though most of his music is good. Vauxhall And I is an exception. I do not understand why you would listen to this instead of his other material.

Not the biggest Morrissey fan, but it was okay.

the music was mediocre but wasn’t enough to make up for the voice which was dragged along and hard to listen to.

Short one: the music is really nice - excellent melodic poppy rock. The unfortunate and unavoidable downside is that I cannot stand listening to Morrissey sing. The (rare) parts where he's less-emotive (an impossibility, I realize) or is mostly instrumental (e.g. Billy Budd) is frustratingly good. Really just cannot stand Morrissey overall and there's no getting by that. The end. 5/10 2 stars.

Listened while eating a steak

I cannot believe we got a Morrissey that wasn’t the queen is dead the day the queen died

Hmmm, setting aside the fact Morrissey is an utter bellend, this album consists of his light, whimsical vocals but without the masterful backdrop of Johnny Marr's guitars. As such, it feels like it's missing something. I won't be back for another listen.

Morrissey is the law of diminishing returns in human form. I think it works both ways though, I must say. The more the listener put into successive releases after, say, 1988, the less they received. Smart people simply accepted his existence and went about their business

Best Song: Why Don't You Find out For Yourself. Slightly more upbeat than the rest of the album. Feels like a break from the (somewhat) monotonous melancholy. Worst Song: Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning. I understand that the whispering was a clear artistic choice, but that doesn't make it sound good. Overall: Not terrible, but I felt like I was forgetting it as quickly as I listened to it. I guess this is a sort of proto-emo? It feels like it's probably wrought with emotions, they're just communicated in this muted and sleepy way.

Too whiny.

First thoughts: how many fucking times is this guy on this fucking list?? Throughout the album, there were moments I enjoyed, but they were far outweighed by the world that we're forced to inhabit. Even though it's a relatively short album, I found it to be a slog.

Felt like this wasn’t as good as Viva Hate or the smiths albums. Pretty similar where it’s morissey singing and there isn’t much else to it. Feel like most of his songs are pretty somber and not really worth revisiting. 5.2/10

Cut to the chase, there was no high hopes for this album to be anything but regretful given how disdainful the feelings are toward The Smiths, and their punk adjacent aimlessness that just serves as a reason to be frustrated at nothing. Morrissey, like any solo artist that transformed their identity into a single moniker, is a pretentious and narcissistic foray into what honestly is a staple in the world of entertainment. Within this context, any dislike of the man is easily understood. Thing is, "Vauxhall and I" plays rather nicely in the background. If it was not Morrissey, maybe the disdain would be non-existent but there is just a certain sense of unforgivable that hangs ominously over his contribution to whatever music is supposed to be. However, for the sake of objectivity and the constant reminder that this list is predicated on the opinion that he should be heard before leaving this plane, there is a stunning lack of regret in this play-through. While this review stays unconvinced, this album is what it is and perhaps the disdain allows for more meaningful appreciation elsewhere.

This album bored me. The vocals/lyrics seem clunky to me

Whiny and flat is the best way to describe this album.

Chill and kinda boring. Not bad.

This belongs in 1001 albums you say, "Meh!" to.

I’m sure it’s a seminal album to those who grew up idolising Morrissey and hoping for a return of The Smiths sound, but it sounds like whinging to my ears these days. It’s also not at all helped by age.

Geen grote fan van deze mens. Zijn stijl van zingen verveelt me snel, dus vond ik dit album geen hoogvlieger

I’ve just never been able to get into Morrissey’s smarmy voice and slow burn songs.

Not a fan, singing too somber, every song sounds the same

I got nothing. Not one song. One and done on this one.

I can see why someone might like this... But goddamn was this a boring album.

hör auf zu heulen morisey

overrated tbh

Bits of this are good, but it’s also an excellent reminder of the extent to which Marr’s guitar makes The Smiths.

A lot of decent songwriting on here, and of course Morrissey is able to sell them all to some extent, but generally the instrumentation and production is too bland and uniform for me to be too invested. Also, you are not "hated for loving", you are hated for hating. Favorite Tracks: "Now My Heart Is Full", "The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get"

God, I hate Morrissey. I hate his singing style, I hate his lyrics, I hate his personality. He doesn't make the worst music on this list, but he is one of the more unlikeable people making mediocre music on this list. I gave this album a listen and it's just so blah.

nije moj đir :(

Strong 2, interesting lyrics

Haiku: It’s a creepy cover, Nothing really all that good, It was just OK. 5/10

Känslan då smiths men sämre lyrik å sämre tjunes

Han låter inte speciell längre 1996.

could've been worse

No thanks

Meh, it's Morrissey without the rest of the Smiths. He's too whiny for me.

"And I just can't explain so I won't even try to" from the opening track encapsulates Morrissey's outlook here - a wilful enigma, languid, unfortunate and eternally misunderstood

Interesting

Doesn't excite me the way the smiths music does. Even some of the more interesting guitar playing, like on The More You Ignore Me, gets overshadowed by the most loser buh lyrics. And imagine that criticism coming from me! Saved: Now My Heart Is Full, Speedway*

Meh, I liked the Smiths better. This is just too whiney. It's like listening to the Cure.

A few good songs otherwise droll.

2.5 | Ibid Morrisey.

I have never been a big Morrissey fan. Just alright but I don't need to listen to this album again

Largely forgettable.

Boring songs

not for me. I already got a smiths record and it’s now my second morrissey record in less than a week, i'm a bit fatigued from his voice and vibe. props to him for having a consistent style? idk.

Not much here that I get excited about. I have the same reaction to most stuff I hear from Morrissey/The Smiths. But I haven’t listened to all that much.

Smiths mas só com o vocalista.

Doesn't do it for me. Not a fan of Morrissey as it turns out

Really nothing grabbed me on this album until the abrupt car motor in Speedway.

Eh. Not my style

Meh, muito paradao e depressivo.

I feel bad rating another big name so low, but not a super big fan. The guitar is fine but Morissey's voice loses me in most songs. Like its good but its so soft and unique in a way I guess I do not appreciate like some other people in this group do (I am assuming)

I like the voice of the singer, but dislike the music.

Morrissey and the Smiths were not that popular in the Netherlands. I could easily endure the album. Nice to have heard but I don't think I will look the album up once more.

This is okay but Morrissey loses points for being a fascist

This was the last Morrissey album I paid any attention to... and now I remember why.

Vähän muniinpuhalteluosastoa. Ei tehnyt vaikutusta

Best Song: The More you Ignore me, the Closer I get Phew, there was way too much good music in the mid-90s, we needed some Morrissey to help balance it out. Seriously, wtf is with people's love of Morrissey. His voice and genre is best described as monotone annoyance. Plus, from everything I have heard about him, he makes Eric Clapton and Roger Waters look like nice, uncomplicated, and even keeled chaps. I don't like The Smiths and I don't like their douchey lead singer. 1/5.

Second Morrissey album in my first 90 days. Apparently, I am not a fan.

Never will I ever, f*ck this guy.

**** is this. I have heard this album like 5 times already with the amount of "inspirations" its probably based on. Wow what a waste of my time. Even bruce springsteen is better than this.

Meh...

Not for me

Is everything from him on the list?! I don't get the allure. He's got a decent voice but it's missing something. So at best I would give this album a 2. It's just not for me. That said I worked in a venue he came through on a tour. He is such an insufferable ass nothing would get me to listen to him more than this list. Seriously go read about some of his antics, no talent is worth that.

not my thing

lol, Morrissey sucks so hard. 1/10

Jesus Christ, how many fucking albums from this cunt are on here??? 2⭐️ rounding down because 🖕🏻Morrisey

F Morrisey. What a disappointment. Classic album but there are many better albums by better humans.

BNP fan boy. ugh.

heartwarming: the worst person you know just made 11 bad points in a row

so profoundly inessential

I'd rather not.

A difficult one. Musically I didn’t mind it, though not on a level with the Smiths, it was not a bad listen… However, there is a big but, and this big but comes with a huge arsehole. Morrissey was always an arsehole, but he was an arsehole who got away with it because of his way with words and his association with excellent musicians. Strip those away and you are just left with a nationalistic, bigoted arsehole. So musically it was okay, but I am not able to disassociate from the producer of this music… so he can take this one star and shove it up his arsehole.

Neslušljivo. Ako misliš da su Smithsi dosadni, Morissey im je tata. 1/5, 1/10

Gear: Hifiman HE6se v2 SE Artwork: 😏👀🤨 Production (2014 Remaster): 😐👍🆗 Music: 🤏🎻🙅‍♂️ Rating: 🚘/5

Good god man...more-issy?! I can't take it anymore-issey. Bored, done...please stop with it already. Vauxhall and I is another slow, piner from the king of sob. Better than Quarry but it's really just more moping. What do people see in this guy? 1.48 stars. No MORE-ISSEY please!

I don’t think this is music.

Ugh. More Morrissey? There should be LESSissey on this list of albums. Once again, I'm giving a Morrissey album 1 star, and it's 1 star too many.

My least favourite artist of the 90s.

Zero stars for being a Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein apologist.

I quit at Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning. I love The Smiths, but cannot stomach Morrissey.

I don’t like this guy.

I find the lyrics to a lot of these songs creepy and rapey. I've never been able to get into Morrissey or the Smiths. Whining your way into sleeping with women never seemed gross.

I don’t like Morrissey. I thought it was mainly because he’s a twat, but you now realise it’s not. I realised that I liked listening to the music. I like Jonny Marr et al. Morrissey is however a twat. He clearly always has been. He can simply go away, but sadly I see I have another 5 albums to listen to. I’ve always wondered as well how much his music travels. I’m Scottish and can never remember hearing Morrissey until I moved to England. It’s like the musical equivalent of Monty Python.

I’d rather shop at Morrisions than listen to this shit again

Morrisey’s limp wisted attempt at dad rock. 0.5/5

Hey fuck you Morrissey, you piece of shit.

Yeah - Morrissey is a terrible person and this album was just flat out boring.

This guy is ass

turned off after 2 songs

Its a no from me, dawg.

Still fuckin hate Morrissey

There is one thing in the world shittier than The Smiths — and it's solo Morrissey

Whether he's with The Smiths, or on his own, I can barely withstand the dreary wrath of Morrissey(not to mention he's a scumbag of a person). Favorite Track: "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get".

First listen Saved 0/11

Dreary bollocks

I see Morrissey, and I see no reason to waste my time on TRASH. 0 / 5

Still no

i guess I really hate Morrissey

Nope. The Smiths were awesome, this dude is a narcissistic beanbag who whines about everything. List can do without this blumpkin.

No. Fuck no. Why isn’t there a negative star option? Maybe we could get the option to use it 10 times? I will tell this brothers and sisters, if I only could have one I would use it on this album.

I've never listened to a Morrissey solo effort before, but finally having given this a spin I can conclude that what little appeal The Smiths hold was actually in spite of his involvement 1.5* for the work put in by whoever wrote most of this music

Shitty music. Shittier guy

I really never understood why Morrissey has so many albums in his solo career on this list. Like, was he that good during his solo career to have 4 albums here? This album was also very boring too. Morrissey was really just underwhelming after he left the Smiths that it even surprises me he is still relevant. Favorite Songs: Hold on to Your Friends Rating: 1.5/5

Ugh disinterested singer boring music not fun.

Sad to see the face of a fascist on this album cover. Morrissey managed to ruin The Smiths twice for me. While this record might be his most musically mature solo album, I can't separate the melancholy from the man. His voice is such an identifiable signature there's no way for me to listen "as-if" it wasn't him. And, Frankly (Mr. Shankly), the smug man still sounds great here. But if I could take away the one star I'm giving this album, I would.

Please, please, please no more Morrissey

Nope, can’t bring myself to give a racist arsehole who shat all over his legacy in the Smiths more than one star.

Nope. Very lame.

The Smiths are a good bad but fuck racist wankers

D'abord, je préfère au niveau musical The Smiths que la carrière solo de Morrissey. Par contre, Morrissey est ce que China et moi appelons une tête de flu, une tête de flu de gros calibre. I Am Hated for Loving, yeah right... I Am Hated for Hating.

Jedinica iz principa. // Bila bi jedinica logično.

Not a fan

Never been keen on Morriseys voice, and this takes away Johnny Marr (by far the best part of the smiths)

Morrissey is dire - grossly overrated. He could probably sing these as lyrics as one of his moans.

Morrissey is a hard pass for me

Just no

Miserable bloke.

Nope, nope, and nope. Not for me. I don't understand the appeal of his voice.

Terrible album from the human equivalent of the colour grey

Don't like his voice

This is a bad album even without taking into consideration that I cant fucking stand morrissey in general. 1/5

Nah. No thank you. Another example of an individual’s actions overshadowing their art.

Morrissey is not very good at music

I still don't understand how Morrissey is on this list so often. What a terrible way to end the week.

Typical Morrissey

this guy's a racist

I don't like his voice, I don't like how he puts a song together, I get irritated by the lyrics. I look forward to never listening to this album again.

Morrissey is fascist crap

I've only ever heard of this guy, and there's a reason why. It's shit.

Maybe not in the mood for this one today, skipped several songs.. Grace is onto something with this blokes voice

Boring music, dumb lyrics. Maybe I'm just not depressed, pretentiously alti or "profound" enough to connect to it

Stop giving me albums by this moany motherfucker

Fun Fact: If you type "insufferable twat" into the 1001 Albums Explorer, three of the top five album results are fronted by Morrissey. https://1001albumsgenerator.com/stats/album-explorer

OK...I get it. The author of this list really, really, really loves Morrissey. I do not.

Dnf. Morrissey bores me

If this doesn't send you down to the rope shop, nothing will.

stop appearing Morrissey

Still no.

Not a fan of Morrissey, but this album was especially not good.

These lyrics are absurd. I’m not old enough to know whether this is groundbreaking and iconic or if it’s cliché and boring. The lyrical structure feels like something you’d make in high school poetry class. What inane similes too

I don't know, I've tried, but I just don't care for him.

Morrissey is fart sniffing for music snobs. My favorite song was the one where Morrissey sang in a monotone and a soft guitar played in the background, oh wait, that was every song. If the color beige was an album, it would be this album. Please no more Morrissey or Smiths.

STANDOUTS: n/a OVERALL: 1.5/5

Feels wrong to give Morissey anything above a one. Some songs I didn’t hate, but I don’t think there’s enough for me to give this a two. Weird lyrics, they all just ramble. I’m good bro

This album had no redeeming qualities

Unforgivably stupid lyrics. A middle aged man trying to channel his inner angsty teenage girl. Who also happens to be really bad at poetry. 🤮

Stop, enough with the Morrissey albums. I can very much appreciate The Smiths, Moz on his own (2nd album of his I've had now) is just not in the same league. Sure, there's still something about his vocals and intonation that brings joy, but mostly it's dirge. And he's a prick.

Morrissey? Gross.

Did not listen. FUCK Morrissey.

I never got into Morrissey when I was younger, so I’m glad I finally sat down with a whole album. No, that’s wrong. I was totally fine with never having heard this. I’m amazed that such poorly written lyrics were even allowed to be put to music, such as it is.

Can’t stand Morrisey.

Morrissey is the human equivalent of the stain in your underpants when you have picked up a stomach complaint.

turns out I'm not a fan of Morrissey

Smug and humorless and pretentious. "I will creep into your thoughts like a bad debt that you can't pay" is right up there among the worst lyrics ever written. I can't stand this.

This album just does not resonate with me. From the album art to songs themselves. For one, I'm not a fan of Morrissey's singing voice. It's simultaneously flat and winey. With songs like "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get" and "I Am Hated For Loving" I'm getting a lot of stalker/simp vibes as well. All in all, this one was a struggle to finish.

The only good thing I can say about this album is that it would be very easy to sing in karaoke since the vocal range is so narrow.

God I hate Morissey and his stupid sharpied-on eyebrows.

I hate Morrissey (and The Smiths).

Because F him

Used to love this fucker back in the day. Now he’s a big time racist, elitist piece of shit. Had stopped listening by the time this one came out. There’s nothing necessary about this one. There’s no reason this should be on a list like this.

Indeed

Fuck Morrissey

I have concluded I do not like Morrissey’s voice.

Just awful whining to my ears. And then knowing the comments he has gone on to make, force this album straight into the fire pit of doom!

Oh god why - good music made by horrible person.

Nope. Not even gonna listen to this one. I detest his voice, stupid lyrical style, and all-round campy douchebag vibe. I have no reason to believe this album would offer up anything different to his regular wanker nonsense.

Vocal típico dos anos 80 que me irrita.

Fuck this guy, man. What a prick

- totally not my music 1/5 I guess

Utter ass, boring sadboi music

Not a bloody chance

Like the loud rockier numbers but the slower ballad song are pretty forgettable

Morrissey remains a cunt.

No bluffing. Copied and pasted below is my review of the last Morrissey album we had: "There are some songs on this album that I would like if someone else sang them. In my review of the last Morrissey solo album we were sent, I said his voice had worn on me by the time the Smiths blew up. Getting another Morrissey solo album so soon after the first is like rubbing vinegar in the wound. No way this brother should have two solo albums in the 1001. If he has a third it's getting a 1."

nooops

Wow, that’s dull

Fuck morissey

Why more Morrissey????

So dull.

"The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get" was released as a single a couple of weeks after I turned 14 and was my introduction to Morrissey. I did not like it. It became the only Morrissey song to chart in the US, which by extension meant it got a lot of play in Canada as well so I heard it a lot and liked it less each time. I dislike it even further now. "Hold on to Your Friends" was released a few months later and it did very little for me. I didn't dislike it as actively as I did the previous single, but I had pretty much zero interest in it. I found it generally boring and Morrissey sounded incredibly self-absorbed. These lousy first impressions led to me not even bothering to give The Smiths much of a chance when my best friend started to get into their music a few years later. I believe my response was something to the effect of, "Oh, is this that sadsack The More You Ignore Me idiot? Not interested!" A plus side of these negative first impressions has been that as it became increasingly obvious that Morrissey is a racist sanctimonious cock stain with fascist leanings I didn't face the heartbreak or turmoil some of my friends did around his legacy and music - particularly with The Smiths, whom I do look forward to finally giving a fair shake during the course of this project. As for Vauxhall and I, I'm fine if I never hear it again. It still sounds boring and self-absorbed.

Morrissey solo is such a profoundly disappointing experience. Then you go back and listen to the Smiths and think, good god, he really was the worst part of that band. Woeful album, this.

Boring record. I really dislike his voice and the lyrics are some of the cheesiest I’ve ever heard. Guitar harmonies are the only thing going for this.

Mercifully short. "The more you ignore me" has some small merit, but the rest of this appears to be tosh wrapped up in boredom and melancholy. It would be remiss of me not to point out what an asshole Morrissey is.

Could not care less about this. Uninspired output from an uninspiring artist. Morrissey is grossly over represented on this list and it's so disappointing when he pops up.

when the maudlin poet turns out to be a manipulative psychopath. fuck this faux-miserabilist bullshit

No intention of listening to this cunt ever again

I don't 'get' Morrissey. He sounds so unhappy. Who would have thought that such a misery would turn out to be a massive misanthrope? I find the music here formulaic, and a little ploddy (apart from the chainsaw bit, which woke me up). As much as I feel I should try to follow Morrissey's wordplay, I am so put off by him as a person that I just don't have the energy. The Smiths were interesting and different at the time, but 10 years later, surely the shy, awkward young man had moved on? As I never fully bought into him at the time, it seems easy to walk away and devote time to people who have a bit more interest in the world outside themselves. We cannot cling to the old dreams anymore. Apparently.

This man is not for me.

I've had two Morrissey albums and one Smiths album. And if I've learned anything from this, it's that without Matt's slinking guitar and tempering influence, Morrissey goes from a sensitive wit to a fat, narcissistic, reactionary bigot with a pub rock band which I can only assume is made from the National Front (disco) members who lacked the talent to get onto the talentless Skrewdriver. My relationship with Moz is so tainted that while I barely eat meat these days, and for almost the same ethical reasons he doesn't, on the occasions I do tuck into a steak, almost in prayer before I chow down, I smile to myself and say, "F*ck you, Stephen," and enjoy it a little more.

I couldn't make it through the entire album, I was bored out of my mind. This music sucks.

Won't be listening to this racist.

Morrissey sucks

"Used to be a sweet boy And I'm not to blame But something went wrong Something went wrong And I know I can't be to blame" These lyrics pretty much sum up Morrissey's world view and who he is these days. A racist, insufferable asshole. I listened to this full album per the exercise and it's whatever, standard post-Smiths mostly forgettable Morrissey. The Smiths were amazing but he's a piece of shit and I can't be bothered with his solo work. No standout tracks.

Honestly if this was anyone else, it would be a decent album. But I absolutely despise Morrissey, and this album doesn't do much to change my opinion.

Please stop giving me morrisey!

Idk if recently learning that Morrissey is an asshole had something to do with it, but anyways, this album was a huge disappointment. I don't remember any song or remarkable thing about it, aside from them being bad. Also, his voice is particularly more annoying here than in his Smiths' albums.

Not a chance I am listening to that Nazi prick - he has no place in this list, mostly because of his shit music - he just can't sing, or write good lyrics - but also because, and I can't stress this enough, he is a terrible conspiracy theorist and racist.

It’s the 7th time Morrissey and/or The Smiths come up here for me. Come on, surely this world has other music makers than this annoying whiny voice?

Fuck morrissey

Made it through two songs. Pretentious awfulness

God Morrissey sucks. STOP making me listen to his albums, they’re not good!

I'm sorry but I really dislike his monotone voice and generic sound. This was so boring and depressing. If you like Emo anthems, you'll enjoy this.

Leider nicht hinbekommen Stress grade aber ka ist Morrissey deshalb 1

Fuck Morrissey

If I never hear another Morrissey song again I will be okay.

I don’t need to listen to this to know that it’s putrid

Can't get into this.

Not sure what the big deal is.

not a fan of morrissey much since he's a bit of a dick. only liked a couple of songs by him

Just not my thing.

Assez fade.

Wow cool a racist cunt
