I’ve always liked this album, it was one of the first Beatles albums I really heard. Definitely some cheesy stuff on here but some great love songs, too.
Not a bit fan of this record. Too moody/brooding for my taste. I do like some DM stuff and love 80’s new wave/alt/indie but this album didn’t do it for me.
Enjoy this album, some good early Beatles songs and I like George’s 12 string but there’s some cheesy pop in there, too.
Some classics on here. What I didn’t realize is how good the horns are on this entire record. Much more of a disco feel than I was expected. I knew probably 5-6 of these songs.
Not heard this album before…not my favorite. There were some tracks early in the record that were very cool, samples blended together seamlessly but the second half of the album felt like less music more narrative sound bites and maybe too down tempo for my taste.
Absolute classic album. Some massive hits and some solid deep cuts. Great record, always happy to hear these tunes
Not the album for me…I can understand why this was an important album at the time but a bit too abrasive for me. That said, the guitar layering is superb throughout and Disappearer is phenomenal and the standout track for me
I really had no idea how acoustic this album was…some phenomenal songs on here and I need to listen to it a few more times. For whatever reason it’s one of the few Bruce albums I’d not heard much of. Reason to Believe was a highlight
Love AG, and actually didn’t realize that Let’s Stay Together was his only #1 hit, that surprised me. I like his upbeat stuff a bit more but I could listen to him read the phone book.
Not really my jam here…to me much of this sounds like noise, frankly. State of Mind is solid, really liked it. Something about the fast drum beats paired with the slow melodies makes me uncomfortable. I like off signature times but not in this context
Didn’t know this album but thought it was pretty good. Boy With the Thorn was a highlight
Overall I liked this album. Very familiar with them but only a few songs I knew before listening straight through (Velouria, mostly). Cecilia Ann, Dig For Fire and The Happening big highlights for me. Stormy Weather also solid
Great album, haven’t listened to it in a long time.
Had never heard this album but great jazz. Loved his organ playing and just a smooth listen.
Never heard it straight through before and I liked it. The rap heavy songs are excellent but I didn’t expect so much R&B…it was also good but unexpected, at least for me.
Never heard it straight through…funny how the original version of NWNC is just underwhelming compared to the live version. First track was a standout
Not for me, Clive. Did not like this one at all. 2Kindsa Love was the only song I liked.
Not the record for me…not my style and few of the songs were catchy enough to interest me. Seems like their earlier stuff is more up my alley
Never heard this album before. Some really good songs, especially in the beginning. Some of the songs sound a little like showtunes but overall pretty good.
Not my favorite Police album but a classic. King of Pain is one of my favorite Police songs ever.
Some classics on this but early long play Bob isn’t my favorite. Songwriting is great, throughout, very visceral
To me, this is more poetry than music. It’s beautiful and sad this was his last album.
I get why this was groundbreaking and I like both Eno and Byrne but this was not an easy listen. Not my style
I can see how this was revolutionary at the time, and how it influenced music, but it sounded dated to me.
This album is ridiculous. It’s so campy it seems like an inside joke
Great album, full of jazz, blues, great vocals.
Not really my style but some decent songs on there
Nice easy listening, love the percussion
Some great songs mixed in with some pretty experimental stuff
Bit too much falsetto but those horns are legendary
Never heard this but familiar with Weller. I really liked this album
The fact this was all improv is wild. Incredible
Not my favorite Kinks record but solid
A few decent tracks but not my favorite album by Drake
Would have loved to heard the record label’s reaction to a 21 minute rock opera to open the album.
Not a huge Janus fan, only in small doses.
More of a Sketches of Spain guy
Liked it more than I thought I would, wasn’t real familiar with this album
A true 2.5 for me. Love one song, hate the next. The Tao of Neil Young and I
Not my fav of their albums but good
Love TVOTR but not this album.
Title says it all. Didn’t like them in the 90s and don’t like them today
In a mood I might live it more.
Not what I expected, pre disco Bee Gees
If you liked dancing and cocaine in 1979 something tells me this was a big one
Not what I expected. Some cool stuff on here
Wait a minute, this sounds like Rock And Or Roll
Not my favorite LCDS album
Next time I’m bringing my best gal to the sock hop I’m playing this one
Music for people who don’t like music
Some great stuff, some okay stuff. Cinnamon Girl is one of the sickest riffs ever and I’ll fight you about it
Closer than a 2 than a 3 but a few really solid tracks raise it up
Turns out I like Eno when it’s not just clicks, whistles and random synth beats
Sorry, lead singer’s voice makes my ears bleed and always has
Not a slipknot guy
Some
I’d rather listen to someone dry heave for an hour
Some good songs but not my favorite voice
It’s been a long night and I hate the f*cking Eagles, man
Some classics and some drivel. Close to 4
Meh
Chicago is a masterpiece
Immigrant is an immediate save to favorites. Great song
Voice is a bit Bowie-esque
I should like moody dad rock but never gotten into them. Not this time either. Bloodbuzz Ohio is decent
There was nothing wonderful about this album
I never liked this album and continued to not like this album
