Not a fan of pretentious symphonic rock, but this sounds fresh, happy, and cool. The vocoders proved to be influential. Lots of seventies influences in the way of singing, background choirs, and more.

If trimmed down to only 'a case of you', this album be so great. But I just phase out with the rest of the songs.
Not too fond of his voice, his rhythms always seems to drag, so the prospect of listening to this album did not immediately fill me with joy. But I did not expect this kind of art-rock. I actually liked it. Will listen some more.
I love this album. Some of the songs I hear a return to his love for themainland European song tradition of Jacques Brel and others. Good comeback.
Depeche Mode is one of the few bands that I still like since my youth. This album is one of their best. A lot of memorable songs, and a few fillers. That is true for most of their albums. Here everything is just better than most of their other albums. Good memories.
That did not age very well.
Obscure album from some underground band. Never heard it before. But it is not bad. I'd say, try it, if you can get your hands on it.
Yeah, cool. OK that sounds good too. Man, I wish I knew this back in the day! Alright, another with that dirty sound. And another. OK, this sounds a bit like the previous, just a tad nastier. Again, not bad. Right, I got the gist now. Hmm, let's see how much more songs there is on this album. Still not bad, but my head is spinning now. Still not over? There is too much of this, I'm afraid. OK, please turn it off, I'm tired.
