Surprisingly joyous. Never listened as a kid due to the Satanic Panic - but will certainly be listening to more IM this year.
Very sixties smokey bar with a cocktail vibe. Super smooth, beautiful voice.
This band and album was completely new to me. Proto-punk apparently. Reminded me a little of Sex Bob-Omb (Scott Pilgrim). A raw, juvenile US garage band. It was ok, but won’t be added to my favourites list.
Classic 80’s Madonna with some killers, but also a few fillers. I prefer some of the later albums (Music, Ray of Light) - but still a good’n
This Is Hardcore by Pulp delivers a raw and compelling mix of 90s indie vibes and candid lyricism. Jarvis Cocker’s introspective storytelling, paired with the album’s moody arrangements, creates a unique exploration of fame and vulnerability. It’s a solid listen for those who appreciate darker, more reflective moments in indie music.
I had never heard this album of band before but on first listen fell in love with it. Catchy tunes, weird and wonderful lyrics, very strings and harmonies. A hidden gem!
Definitely NSFW, or to sing aloud - but damn catchy 🍉 🧑🌾
Utter garbage. I’m up for a bit of avant-garde as much (if not a little bit more) than the next man, but 💩 needs to be called 💩. An unpleasant, tuneless assault on the ears.
Once was enough!!
Just beautiful!
This has always been ‘The one with Hallelujah’ but boy was I impressed with the whole album. Fantastic voice and tunes, tinged with retrospective melancholy as there could have been so much more.
Self indulgent garbage. I’m sure he had fun making it- but he was thinking about himself far more than he was thinking about his poor listener. Not for me.
The emperor has no clothes. Anyone claiming to enjoy this needs serious help. Total toilet.
This is a brilliant album. Disagree? You are wrong!
Everything about this album and artist is foul and putrid. The toughest listen yet.
Mercifully short!
