A fav
Listening to this album just made me feel like I was back in my childhood basement playing video games on our PlayStation 2 in 2001
Odd second REM album choice.
Again, an interesting choice of album from a highly revered band!
I’m just not super jazzy
While a classic, listening to this all the way through in one sitting is not the way to do it. Or rather I’ve grown to feel that Dylan’s later albums actually work together as a whole, while this felt like a mix of singles thrown together to create a whole album.
Again, I can understand the significance of this album but it’s just not for me.
Not for me
Not for me
Every song sounded the same
Not for me
Ain’t nobody got time for allllll this. Good lord. Wish I did and could give an honest review!
3.5
Overall good songs. Some hit the mark a bit better than others. My only beef is that it’s a two hour long album…
Always makes me watch to listen to Rise Above by Dirty Projectors
More like 3.5

Ren faire folk music and I love it
A little downtempo for my taste. But still enjoyable sound and vocals.

Aged like milk… As a fully grown adult, I cannot stand listening to such misogynistic shit. Pretty awful all around.
If I have to listen to a Costello album, at least make it short!
How many fucking Costello albums do you REALLY need to listen to before you die?! Because tbh, I’d say just one!
Not for me
In the End will always be a banger.
Love this album as a kid. Love it still as an adult.
I wouldn’t call myself a Billy Joel fan, but this album was shockingly good! Maybe it’s because it has all the hits- which is, in a way an indicator that it is a good album! I would give it a 4.5- rounding down.
3.5- rounded down
Can’t list to
Kind of a dud.. more like 2.5, rounded up
Two big hits but the rest is kinda mid. 3.5, rounded down
Little sleepy as a whole, but peppered with beautiful songwriting and guitar. Idk, probably a low 3…
2.5 rounded up
I like the other Wilson brother more

Sounds like a mix of Father John Misty and Rufus Wainwright…
All the damn hits! As much as they are radio fodder today, I know when it came out it was huge and groundbreaking. 3.5, rounding up.
Feels as relevant, if not more so, now than it did in 2004. Big ups to my dad for buying this back then and being a cool rock dad.

The sharp ‘S’s took me out immediately. The songs all kind of blur together…
2.5 not bad but also not very memorable
A lot more “gonna shoot my lover” lines vibes than I was expecting…
Not a big ska fan.
The best side A
Like if I’m splitting hairs, I’ll say 2.75…. It’s alright, some songs have a groove. But the mumble-core rapping is not my jam.
It has the hits but felt a lot longer than it actually was.
3.5 rounded down

2.5 rounded up because their top Spotify songs are actually bangers. It was just a little too one note sounding for me.
I want to like Merle, but this was mostly “I’m in prison/jail, I miss my baby” and then “my baby left me and I don’t know why”.

Kanye is a garbage human now but this album still slaps.
3.5 rounded up because I love The Cure

More like 2.5….
The first half of this album absolutely slaps. But really takes a nosedive in the second half. 3.5 rounded up cause I do like U2

What I would give to listen to this album for the first time again….. 3.5, rounded down
Solid 3.5, rounded up because I was surprised by how good it was as a whole album!
2.5, rounded up
3.5 rounded down because side B is really a big comedown from the first half
It’s a damn good album. He just really fucking sucks. I haven’t listened to it since news broke about Adams….just as good as I remember it.
2.5, rounded up thanks to One
Amphetamines really were something else back then…
2.5…rounded up because I feel bad?

Honestly, I know this is an important alt-country album, but I really found it kinda mid… 2.5, rounded up
Lucky for me, I was introduced to this band and album when I was like 20/21 with my now husband playing some songs from this with his psych rock band in all the dirty basements…. Ahhh college
3.5, rounded down because it was solid but didn’t like blow me away good
3.5, rounded up
2.5, rounded up because I do like the song Groovin’. However the rest of the album was so corny 60’s it was a bit much
2.5 but rounded up for some hits
4.5, rounded up
So painfully 2013…
I just don’t really care for Costello…

This was truly innovative and groundbreaking at the time of this release- and still holds a spot as being an important piece of music in history. However, noise- art rock is not for me. So it’s getting a 2.5, rounded up to 3 because Capt Beefheart was a visionary. This is just realllllly hard to get through!
This probably deserves a higher rating than a 1, but I’m kind of over noise albums.
Again, probably deserves a higher rating but I am over all these albums with no lyrics! Not my cup of tea and it seems to be all this random generator is serving.
3.5 rounded up for all the hits!
2.5 rounded up. Inoffensive but also unremarkable
I want to rate this higher, but found it hard to like really get into…
Ok but like how many Sonic Youth albums does one really need to listen to before they die? I think 3 is really pushing it! (I did enjoy this one more than I’ve enjoyed others!)
2.5… rounded down cause I got bored
More like 4.5!
4.5, rounded up!

4.5, rounded up because of Lodi
Honestly more like 4.5. So many great songs!!
