It’s good. Not THAT good.

It’s really good. It’s just not something I often reach for. An extremely high 3.5- mostly just to distinguish it in this contest- a 3.

Friend you’ve got to fall and up in the air

Very very good- just needs to grow on me I think- going with a high 3.5- rounded down.

It’s hyped for good reason.

Guys. This one is a 2 or a 2.5. It sounds great- there’s nothing objectionable really on it— it combines a bunch of interesting sounds—- but - those alone do not equal greatness. It’s just fine. I expect more from the albums on this list.in a vacuum - if I was in a better mood MAYBE I’d give it three- but for this exercise - it’s a big 2. My least fav thus far. There’s clearly a lot of talent/technical work on here- but- it feels lifeless. Just like someone who likes massive attack and various hindustani music melded them seamlessly without thinking as far as why they were doing it.

I want to give this a 2 for the site- because I find it hard to argue it’s essential in any way— but it’s a low three and a half in my book. Better than decent Brit pop.

This is a sky high three point five. Some great tunes- but it’s too long for its own good. And the good stuff comes later in the sequencing. Not 1001 essential.

It’s a 1.5 —- it’d be a 2.5 or 2 — there’s a few songs that are a tad catchy and fun, but I found it obnoxious to listen to and will not revisit.

Bumped this up to 4.5. Not as good for me as the previous two— but damn this guy was a master. What a loss.

One of my favorite hip hop albums. Dilla forever. Part of the soulquarians sessions w things fall apart, mamas gun and voodoo

Couple good performances- great voice. Dated flat album.

Queen is a singles band.

Prog masterpiece- such groove and hooks. Phenomenal bass playing.

With a bullet

I like her voice and Burt Bacharach songs as much as the next guy. But this doesn’t hang together all that well.

Their best album- funky Eno mega pop with great guitar and anthemic tunes.

First listen. One of their best. High 4.5
