The Stranger song is great - great piano at the opening and closing, and great middle of the song - why didn't this one get radio play that I've heard?
Beautiful piano on the last track, too. And whistling.
How Do You Sleep is really cool.
Always loved Jealous Guy.
I knew more songs on this album than I thought!
Title of almost every song was the same as the first lines of the song :)
T Rex is always great - makes me feel like I'm in the 70s :)
Noise album with not-so-great voice. It was ok :)
Never heard of this band. I liked it!
Pretty much all of it was familiar :) Also led to Matisyahu, who is amazing and awesome!
Very cool. Nice piano parts too.
Fun but a little repetitive. Would be easy to play with them I think :)
I recognize and love the first track Dirge. The rest had some good stuff but some noisy/repetitive.
Amazing album! No bad tracks at all (though some stood out more than others). :) :)
Fun, energetic songs. Michael was fun, too. :)
I bought this on tape a very long time ago. Forgot some of the songs and they were really good. Also great to be reminded that Dave did every single thing on this album himself! Because of this it's 5 stars.
Witches Hat sounds cool so far.
Some of it reminds me a little of Bob Dylan vocals (not all of them).
I like I'd Rather Be High.
You Feel So Lonely You Could Die.
Heat.
Atomica.
God Bless the Girl.
Not bad - the previous stuff sounded a little more fun to me (like a fun bar band).
Really like Move Over, Gudbuy Gudbuy, I Don' Mind. Overall great album.
Owned this one for a long time. Fave is Fade Out.
Fun lyrics, recognized some songs and the album cover.
Fun and relaxing. Good to know who sang Genius of Love. Word rap reminded me of Blondie.
Loved it and makes me want to listen to more of this and Arctic Monkeys.
Always loved the main song but now I heard the rest and they're great!
Never heard Maybe Your Baby, it was cool and funky. Blame it on the Sun made me cry. Several other great songs on here as well.
Flow reminds me of LL Cool J. And they're from Long Island :)
Really fun. Some great guitar.
Really fun - enjoyed some songs more than others. Overall good!
Ended up really liking this album!
I knew 2 songs and most of the rest of the album was only suitable for dancing IMO
2-3 stars. I hit like on 1-2 songs.
Love Dolly :) Coat of Many Colors is a great story.
Reminds me of Mike Judge and Office Space :)
The story about this album and the next one, and the names, are very interesting.
Really loved and connected with this one! I had not heard this style from Beck before.
So glad I got to hear and discover this. I love the style and cool info about the Moog. Also loved the Triad song.
Knew and already liked some of the hits from here, but also liked some of the songs I didn't know before - like I've Seen That Movie Before.
Really cool stuff - loved it :)
First two songs were good. Also liked E-Mail My Heart :)
Liked this way more than I had expected. I only knew the one song from the radio long ago. Didn't know she had such a great voice and great messages - seemingly ahead of its time (these issues are just more exposed now). One song had just her voice, which was very impactful. She also did a few things with the way she sang and rhymed certain words - very good. Normally not my type of music but deserves great credit for her artistry!
Thought this was great. Interested in the movie now as well.
Loved it more than I thought I would!
Love the story about I'm In Love With My Car.
Pyramids, Bad Religion, Pink Matter were probably my favorites :)
Never heard this before and was glad to hear it, I liked it! :)
Really ended up liking this one and then YouTube took me to more bands of the genre and I really enjoy it :)
I normally like her stuff but this album wasn't for me.
I had never heard of this before. I thought it was great!
I recognized Take Five! I like the Turkish influence on the jazz :)
Cool to recognize In The Pines! And that it dates back to 1870s
Wow! I'd like to hear more of this :)
This one was not bad, but YouTube then took me to one I'm actually enjoying more: Atmosphera - Lady Of Shalott 1977 FULL VINYL ALBUM (prog rock, symphonic prog)
i think i liked the last 3 tracks the best:
Three Changes 29:17
Green Fields 33:32
The Good, The Bad & The Queen 35:58
Lots of great songs on here!
Lookin at Tomorrow was great
overall great album just too short :D
Just awesome :) I love the 70s. One of the tunes from The End Theme sounds like one of the Lovage songs I know...
Really ended up enjoying this band!
Liked this more than I expected!
Charge is very interesting! :)
Overall style is wacky - some reminds me a tiny bit of Mr. Bungle, some of Roxy and other bands.
The Dogs & the Horses was great.
Great overall - great discovery - thanks!
love the way Glass Museum starts
A lot of it was a different style than I was used to from them, and I liked it a lot.
liked this more than expected - cool to read he was friends with Sid Vicious - wasn't expecting that based on this music :)
sounds like world music? but more interesting to me
Absolutely horrible. Maybe the worst thing I've ever had to listen to. Would give it negative stars if I could.
nice -liked it
look into phantasmagoria
Love The Ballad of 32
Are many of these covers?
some basslines remind me of Duran Duran
Love The Power of Love
Very cool, interesting, nice variety, some wackiness - I like it!
Liked it more than I expected. Some catchy tunes, inflections, musical portions.
Enjoyed this way more than I had expected!
Was hoping for better since I love Sex Pistols - I found these to be long, boring tracks.
Enjoyed this way more than expected. Great album.
Reminds me a lot of Skeleton Key :)
Now I want to hear the band Rocket from the Crypt as well.
Interesting to hear, cool tracks. Will put the movie on my list to watch, too :)
Always wanted to listen to more of them - great album. I will be listening to more.
She has always had an outstanding voice. For some reason a lot of this album felt long and boring to me, though. I wanted to like it more.
Liked it even more than expected.
Knew more songs than I thought!
Knew some of these - awesome album :)
Used to watch this all the time in college, it was very influential on my memory. Will always give this 5 stars.
Great songs on this one album!!
Love the bluesy feel to many of these tracks :)
Liked it a little more than I thought I would. One track reminded me a little of Radiohead (though I like Radiohead way more), and then YouTube automatically went to Radiohead after this album.
I always mix up their hit song with Ace of Base for some odd reason.
Barbarism Begins at Home (2011 Remaster) I like the bassline.
Sort of reminded me of Radiohead at times, but more sleepy and not as good to me.
Always love Neil Young. Helpless is great along with many other tracks on this album.
Pretty good. But then YouTube took me to Genesis Foxtrot and my mind was blown! :)
I Couldn't Help It If I Tried is a beautiful track. I enjoyed this.
Never heard of them but enjoyed the album and found it interesting!
Surprised at how much I loved every track on this one.
Enjoyed more than expected :) :)
He's always just so good!
Amazing vocals, beautiful piano - blown away
What a fun album! Pretty raw, didn't expect it to be here, but great discovery I shared with friends :)
Reminded me why I bought this tape back in college. Love is Blindness is a great one.
Wow! I knew the first song because of radio play, but I was amazed at the other tracks. I love the classical influences, the wackier sounds on some, such variety. Great musicians. I think there was only one track I wasn't blown away by.
So glad I came across this. I loved it!
So beautiful. Wish I could sing and play like that!
I love the Round n Round song, among others :)
Never heard of this and it was very cool! :) :)
Always wanted to check them out. I liked it :)
I already knew I loved this one :)
Never heard of this before and ended up really liking it a lot!
Wow, this was really awesome. Never heard of them before but made me feel good and I loved it. Want to hear more from them!
This is my favorite band (or one of them - Mike Patton is my favorite artist). This was the album that got me into FNM to begin with, and it ended up being only the tip of the iceberg.
Very smooth sound, cool lyrics. Love it.
So glad I discovered this from George Michael. What a great sound on this album!
Hadn't listened to this album in about 15 years. Wow, I forgot how awesome it is! Listened to it twice :) :)
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would!
Very cool to hear Bjork before her solo stuff! I enjoyed this album :) :)
Never listened to him before and ended up really loving it overall and especially certain tracks.
Very cool, great variety of instruments and sounds.
Beautiful voice! Reminded me of Toni Braxton, who I'm sure must have looked up to Anita.
Enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. I had heard only a song of their before, and knew Kurt Cobain was a fan. But never listened to much until now. Really liked it and listened to the extended version afterwards :) :)
Really liked this! Had some Sade vibes, some Bjork vibes, some beautiful piano on some tracks, and more. Nice surprise :) :)
What a great discovery for me! This and Adam & The Ants. Great stuff - listened to more of their stuff as well.
My favorite part was the album cover, which looks like it's moving :)
