The louder, the better!
amazing, one of my favorites.
Funky jazz, really lived up to my expectations!
obviously a great singer
feels old, but certainly a foundation for future musicians.
hard to get past my dislike for JT in general
Folksy through and through, really liked the last track (Arthur)
interesting, I liked Safesurfer
Wut
Sure was a popular album
Funky!
Morrissey has got to be the most angsty person to ever angst
never heard any of this outside of "Rikki Don't Lose That Number"
impressive debut
Monster
interesting
Brazil you say? Vocals are a bit one note, but otherwise kinda rips.
Not much here beyond Scar Tissue, Otherside & Californication. It also feels pretty dated somehow.
never heard of this band before
these lyrics sure are something. Overall, it is a lot, and feels a bit "kitchen sink" at times.
I didn't like this... at all
that was... something
quite lean (31 minutes!) and straightforward. "Breakdown" & "American Girl" rule.
spooky! "A Forest" was my favorite track.
easy listening
stunning
stolen from another review: Chocolate Starfish is a messy, vulgar piece of work that isn't worth anybody's time but will still be remembered for it's moment.
vibes
Couple hits, otherwise not memorable
yup
Superstition slaps
This Is the Day, obviously. Really enjoyed Uncertain Smile as well.
A Sailor's Life is absolutely my type... really enjoyed this one!
interesting, I guess Industrial rock isn't for me.
one-note
Pretty one note, and full of songs heard pretty frequently.
Cult of Personality rules.
britpop... not exactly my jam
not their best work, but still class
First half: 5 stars Second half: 3 stars Total: 4 stars
the production is good...
Love it
not saying anything new: pretty great!
actually pretty good!
right in my zone
that voice... no thank you!
very chill, not her best work but still decent
My first “who are these guys?!” and a core music memory. Leans a bit Arena Rock but probably their peak.
Perfect for Christmas Day
no thank you
never heard of this band before...
I thought I would enjoy the stroll down memory lane, but once I got passed the two singles that the TRL generation heard ALL THE TIME... it was a dreadful experience.
easy 5 star
how much more BritPop is on this list?
loved this!
already listened twice!
no thank you
It has become obvious that "post-punk" is not for me
I don't understand the hype
not as bad as I was I expecting...
classic
only kind of interesting
probably should have just watched the movie...
Icelandic B-52's is the best description I saw, and I kinda dig it.
a good time
The Asphalt World kinda rules...
really dig the first half...
pure nostalgia
tons of funk
Side one – The Raven is good, the rest can go
kind of bland
superb
I like Young's folk stuff more
Sleepy-time music
punishing repetition...
nice time capsule and historic recording, not exactly my cup of tea
I liked Stillness Is The Move ... otherwise
Nick Cave was a true highlight...
liked this a lot more than Aja
pretty consistent sound
I enjoyed it, not sure I’ll listen ever again though
snooze
Boxcars kinda rules
I'd give this album 6 Stars if I could (6 out of 5)
no thanks
top top album
Fame doing a lot of heavy lifting on this album
last two tracks absolutely carry this album
Old Times Good Times & Go Back Home are standouts
Loved some of the tones on this, but not enough musically for me
Loved some of the tones on this, but not enough musically for me
Fun but got old
fantastic
Banger
On the back of singles… otherwise forgettable
Down By the River slapped, the rest are forgettable
CLASSIC
Better vocals/lyrics this becomes a 4
