didn't appreciate how good this album was in the nineties. All the thrash metal I listened to blunted the impact.
There are better Steve Winwood albums
This album is among the roots of seventies Southern rock. It's good, but seventies southern rock is just not my thing.
What an amazing dual album.
Would have been 5* with Bruce Dickinson.
Not a big fan of the Rolling Stones, but this was a good album.
David Bowie is a musical genius and a treasure, but this one was a bit too out there for me.
Norah Jones has an amazing voice, but her songwriting skills are forgettable.
Curtis Mayfield should be a household name and incredibly rich. This is a great album
David Gilmour > Roger Waters
Good stuff. But there are far better MoTown recordings
The album was a lot better than the songs that were played on the radio
Frank Zappa is great
really good jazz album
van morrison is awesome
This was difficult to get through.
this was terrible and I could not get through it
Just as good as it was 30 years ago.
"One man's trash is another man's treasure . . " but, damn, this was awful. I kept waiting for some redeeming quality - some hook that would draw me back in - but nope. It's terrible.
This was awful.
I would rather listen to "Staying Alive" for an hour and ten minutes than this dreck. I'm honestly not sure how this album found its way into "essential listneing" except maybe as a cautionary tale. If only there were a 0 star rating.
Avand guard, post punk, 80's synth pop? No, thank you.
RIP Cliff Burton
Thriller is better.
Was better than expected
Trash.
trash
There is nothing memorable about this album.
amazing album
Anthrax is on the mt rushmore of thrash, but unlike megadeth, metallica and overkill I could never appreciate Joey Belladonna voice.
The most redeeming qualities of this album were the artists that were featured on the tracks.
not a fan of arcade fire.
Bad Bob Dylan clone
This was the album that introduced everyone to Kings of Leon, but it is most definitely not their best album.
out of all the music that has been captured and disseminated throughout history, I strongly disagree that THIS belongs amongst the 1001 albums that you have to hear in your lifetime. _mp
Trash post punk synth pop
Amazing album. Too bad Dave had to go and "remaster" these albums
Beastie Boys = National Treasure
Amazing album
This music was trash. I even like jazz, but there was no theme or variation, just a group of people vomiting up whatever notes came to mind. Awful trash
What an amazing album
Not an ABBA fan
was nice to hear several of the songs that were sampled in hip hop, but otherwise unremarkable.
Awful
Maybe I just heard way too much Sheryl Crow in the 90's but there was nothing remarkable about this album
didn't expect to like it as much as I did
Great album
There's a reason no one knows more than one or two Fatboy Slim songs
Man, Bob Dylan. A prime example of right person at the right time.
This album was great outside of the context of Fred Durst's personality. Having been around during the rise and fall of Limp Bizkit, I feel strongly that their music would have had a much greater impact on the early aughts if Durst had not been such an insufferable douche canoe.
Man, the only thing worse than a Bob Dylan day is a Thom Waits day.
Sweet Jeebus - why does everyone revere this album?
Nick Drake is awesome
Having heard only one song that was popular on the radio, this album far exceeded my expectations.
awful
Not an ABBA fan
Had its high points and definitely had its points
just not my bag
All of the good songs of this album were released as singles. Everything else was "meh"
trash
Johnny Cash is a friggin treasure, but this was not one of his best.
actually, wasn't bad.
Never heard of her before but this was a great album
It's a 4 but only because it's Willie
Wasn't expecting this to be that good
It has some high points.
a classic and a must listen
Tom Waits is what you would get if there was a being who needed to ingest good music to live. After passing through this beings GI tract and extracting all that was great from that music, Tom Waits would be the crap clinging to the boil just south of this being's anus. it's awful
weird
Kevin Dubrow and Quiet Riot is awesome.
awful
if stevie nicks and tom waits had a love child who released an album. If that's your thing, you'll love this album. It's not mine though.
not a fan
every Metallica album before the black album is amazing
There really are better King Crimson albums.
Tom Waits is a boil on the taint of everything good, decent and redeeming about music. I wish with all my heart I could rate any dreck he's associated with a - 1000. I've created better music after eating too much fiber.
there are way better John Lee Hooker albums
Tom Waits sucks.
