Esse disco não está no livro! Aliás, nem deveria estar aí. Tem três discos desse cara que passaria tranquilamente essa existência sem precisar ouvir. Posso não ter entendido o contexto musical, mas não tem de demais nem para a época em que foi lançado. Desnecessário!

After almost 500 albums evaluated, I have no doubt that the author of this book, along with Brian Eno and Elvis Castelo, form a threesome. I've never seen a guy with as much ass as this author. It makes no sense to have five Brian Eno albums on the list, much less six by Elvis Castelo. Just a rant. Brian Eno was one of the things I had the greatest displeasure in meeting. It doesn't make sense, as I said, if the author formed a beautiful threesome with him.

A good folk/country album, that's all. It's by no means a must-listen-before-you-die album. Just another way to overvalue American culture, which is what this list does 90 percent of the time.

80s band. new wave/britpop. Isn't the style that I like, but was enjoyable to listen.

King Crimson is basically the kind of band tailor-made to please a handful of nerds who confuse complexity with genius. They try to push some sort of “psychedelic progressive rock” full of gimmicks, but at its core it’s just a pretentious collage of reheated jazz and recycled medieval melodies — all wrapped in an air of “high art” that feels more like a desperate attempt to seem profound. It’s a completely overrated band: praised as if they reinvented music, when in reality they sound more like a messy jam session of musicians who couldn’t pick a style and decided to throw everything together, thinking that would automatically make it deep.

Better than many generic American psychedelic albums. It's clear that it's influenced by other languages, not just American/English. Musically impeccable! The recording and production reflect the era, and it was recorded with the technology of the time. Latin America Live!

Released sometime in the late 1970s—probably during a full moon and definitely after too much herbal tea—this electronic record feels less like an album and more like an intercepted transmission from a benevolent alien sect. The kind of aliens who don’t invade planets, but politely ask if you’d like to lie down and listen. The synthesizers drift, wobble and gently pulse like cosmic jellyfish, floating through an infinite astral disco. Nothing here ever rushes. Time dissolves. BPM becomes a suggestion. Rhythm is not a command, it’s a warm invitation. You don’t dance to this album—you levitate slightly above the carpet. The grooves are soft but persistent, those “pleasant little patterns” that feel simple until you realize your brain has been looping them for seven minutes without permission. It’s hypnotic in the way only 70s electronic music can be: naïve, sincere, and accidentally profound. No irony intended back then—irony added later by us, the survivors. And then there are the vocals. Or rather, vocal events. Lyrics float in and out like half-remembered prophecies: syllables without passports, words that sound meaningful but refuse to explain themselves. It’s nonsense, yes—but spiritual nonsense. The kind that feels important even when it clearly isn’t. You don’t understand the words; you accept them. There’s a deep belief running through the album: a belief that synthesizers can heal, that oscillators have souls, and that somewhere between a Moog sequence and a delayed whisper, humanity might briefly achieve peace. Or at least a mild sense of calm. Is it dated? Absolutely. Is it cheesy? Frequently. Is it beautiful? Against all logic, yes. This album exists in that perfect 70s electronic sweet spot where futurism still sounded friendly, the unknown felt safe, and outer space was just another place to chill. In short, this record doesn’t predict the future—it dreams it. Slowly. Repetitively. With reverb.

Not that the music is bad, but there’s really nothing special about it either, beyond some guitars soaked in flanger and delay. A 2.5 is already generous and beyond than this deserve

We know that a list is never an absolute truth and is meant more as an illustrative, dogmatic exercise, but this project often goes far beyond any reasonable limits… for example, highlighting this kind of trash at the expense of so much great music out there. It’s absolutely unbelievable how every single second of this album must have been relevant to a mere handful of people. Lamentable. I still have a year left to finish this, this one must be around number 600, and that really discourages me… this kind of garbage only makes us waste our time.

Achei que era algo como um the black keys mas é uma porra de hip hop em cima de um funky/blues, toma no cu que desperdiço de instrumental para cantar esse monte de merda em cima. I can’t believe how much prestige and media space some artists are given despite producing such mediocre work. Beck has three albums on this list, and for that reason alone, the list deserves no respect. This album is mediocre, lazy, and entirely disposable—purely recycled material with nothing original or worthwhile to offer. It’s complete nonsense. Absolute bullshit. Frankly, it’s dog shit. Unbelievable. A very bad album. I can’t believe I even have ears to hear something this awful.

A very consistent metal album! It deserves a much higher score than it got, but those assholes behind this project only like hip hop and that kind of crap.

Muito legal! Boa descoberta! Gostei muito de ouvir e pretendo ouvir mais. Um disco clássico dos anos 70 sem soar genérico (o que é difícil para época tendo em vista as milhares de bandas parecidas da epoca). Som com leve muito fluido e gostoso de ouvir. Rotula-se de glam rock, mas a única coisa que me remete a isso são as roupas, do mais um rock clássico sem sem enjoativo ou batido como o Kiss por exemplo. Uma boa descoberta! Me lembrou no geral the Black Keys. Claro que nao podemos citar a introdução de Get it on "roubada" por Noel Gallagher em cigarettes and alcohol mas essa é uma história de outros discos kkkk. Excelente!!!

Banda que soa aquele som genérico dos anos 80, como algo superproduzido tentando ser jazz mas sem muita alma, soa mais como música de elevador na verdade. Dois está ótimo, até pq tem muita coisa pior por aqui...
