Black Holes and Revelations

College-days throwback... not sure how I missed this one. A couple of the songs are familiar from the radio, but for the most part, it's standard Muse. Enjoyable, energetic, and catchy, but repetitive at times. It sounds like they were trying to balance the harder rock themes of the time, meshed with melodic harmonies (ala Coldplay), and a few grandiose prog-rock anthems... that shift into predictable rock-pop. I wouldn't turn it off immediately, but I don't see myself revisiting this album often.
