Man, this was the tune of my time. I remember hearing it first 1482 at the wine-fest of the kingdom of Baden. I swear I saw the ancle of princess Hiltrude this day.

Look, I've listened to this Album on a rainy day, while sipping some red wine and saying words like furthermore and still didn't enjoy it.

I'm happy to hear something outside of english/american rock/pop and whatever Electronica is. On the other hand I would find it immensely offensive against my culture if the only album from my country is a soundtrack of a movie.
Imagine the only album of your country out of 1001 albums you must hear is the soundtrack of "Forrest Gump".

The first influencer, who thought being famous entitels to start a music career. Thanks to her we have Youtubers doing songs. Nico walked so BibisBeautyPalace could walk. (Point for not hiding the german accent behind a fake one)
The Stooges
2/5
Not fun, nor house. Not even the best Album called Funhouse.
Grateful Dead
3/5
Grateful dead took the best from country music (feeling like home, even though I'm not from the US) and the worst (being the most boring Genre). At least I had a good ride in the car.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet
4/5
The perfect Album to listen to while you're high in an art museum. Sadly I was at home doing chores sober. Anyways had a good time.
The Who
3/5
Who the fuck starts an extended Album with the extra songs?
Basement Jaxx
2/5
"Hello fellow kids. I heard you like this new music from Skrill-eggs and Dead-Mouse. You should totally check this out!" -Vibes
The Cult
3/5
This Album made my hair grow 40cm. I went to a protest against the Vietnam war, slept with the girlfriend of my best friend and died of an overdose while listening to my own song in the radio for the first time. Best 2 weeks of my life.
Dr. Dre
3/5
I'm sure I would give it a higher rating if I could connect more to gang violence and having sexual intercourse. Anyway, it's a milestone for Dre and for Hip-Hop in general, can't deny that.
The Cure
3/5
Huge fan of the idea to replace the monotonous voice of Robert Smith with various instrumental tracks. Best album of the Cure so far!
TV On The Radio
5/5
Did this Album change my life? No. Did I have a good time? Absolutely! Is this the bare minimum to get 4-5 stars in this list? For me sadly yes.
Beastie Boys
4/5
I wouldn't consider myself the hugest fan of several men screaming at me, trying to convince me that they are the coolest but MY GOD THE BEATS. The producer carried the whole album.
Def Leppard
4/5
High school musical, but with long curly hair and guitars. \m/
Black Sabbath
3/5
Sounds like the other Black Sabbath Album. If it weren't for "Changes" and the amazing Wikipedia-Article about this Album, I would have given less stars. But like I said I'M GOIIING THROUGH CHAAANGEEEEES.
The Beau Brummels
2/5
An album by the two to three only americans who didn't get drafted by the army. And it sounds like it.
The Smashing Pumpkins
2/5
When I was young, I had a Guitar-Hero Knock off on my iPhone and Cherub Rock was one of the hardest songs. SInce I had no friends I played it so much, that I was able to sing along. Anyways, thanks for the flashback, no need to repeat.
4/5
Concept Albums are my favourite concept!
Pentangle
3/5
Man, this was the tune of my time. I remember hearing it first 1482 at the wine-fest of the kingdom of Baden. I swear I saw the ancle of princess Hiltrude this day.
The Dictators
4/5
Somehow people listened to this and said "yeah, this is a new genre" while it's basicly RocknRoll with funny lyrics. Anyways, better than most punk that came afterwards
Michael Jackson
5/5
Imagine having 3 world hits on an album AND a song with Paul McCartney. To be fair this one is pretty shitty.
Electric Light Orchestra
5/5
Disco with classical instruments? You son of a beautiful woman, I'm in!
Echo And The Bunnymen
2/5
I'm 87% sure the autor of this list realised halfway thought that he didn't know 1001 albums and added just random English music.
Tom Waits
1/5
I hope he was able to get the mucus out of his throat.
Siouxsie And The Banshees
1/5
This is one of those albums which you have to read the Wikipedia Article to understand why it's on this list.
Led Zeppelin
3/5
I respect Led Zeppelin for their work, but I'm too ignorant to discriminate between them and other Rockbands of their time and afterwards (!)... I'm sorry fellow rockers, I hope you can forgive me
King Crimson
4/5
I really wanted to hate this Album, but it was pretty neat. Apart from the middle part, where they forgot to stop the recording and we got like 10 minutes of random noises.
New York Dolls
2/5
For being a genre that lastet like 10 years, Punk surely had a lot of pioneers that ALL belong in this book/list.
Rufus Wainwright
2/5
Started pretty strong and went pretty boring after a few tracks.
ABBA
4/5
Abba is like Cheese. You can put it on the pizza at the family dinner, you can put in the sandwich on a hike or you can put it on Nachos at a party. Or you eat it being alone at home.
GZA
2/5
This man knows his work. But I don't like it.
The Gun Club
2/5
This is like your friend winning a medal for ice hockey, but you don't care about sports. So you are happy for him, but could have died without listening to this Album.
John Prine
5/5
More Hip Hop and more Punk than most albums in this list. Never thought I would enjoy Country Music.
Tito Puente
4/5
Couldn't resist to dance
King Crimson
1/5
Amazing idea, bad realisation. Did not enjoy it.
Solange
3/5
2Pac
2/5
I had no connection to this album and still don't have. 2Stars from me
Joni Mitchell
1/5
Realised after one hour that the album was over and that I wasn't listening to anything. Completely forgettable (for me) and even more astonishing if you see the (good) ratings it got on release.
Gary Numan
1/5
This Album inspired me to take a break from this generator for a week.
Nirvana
5/5
Phase 1: Hell yeah, smells like Team Spirit, amiright?
Phase 2: starts album from track two
Phase 3: listens to whole album once a while and cries because it's a masterpiece.
The Flaming Lips
3/5
If I would have been born 15 years earlier I would have loved this Album. Anyways, it's kinda nice sometimes
The Divine Comedy
5/5
Maybe it's because I'm lying sick in bed, but this Album gave me a nice trip without any drugs 5/5
Ride
2/5
My highlight was, when they rhymed "fly" with "sky"
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
3/5
Extra star for doing an extra album in Spanish.
Moby
5/5
Well THIS is an album I'm happy I heard before dying. It is so influential and holds to this day as a good album. It looses a bit in the second half but is able to catch the goodbye-feeling in the last song.
Saint Etienne
2/5
WOuLd yOu liKe sOMe SweEtS WiLLy?
Nine Inch Nails
3/5
I didn't like the album very much but I know that most of the music I liked and listened to growing up was influenced by it. Giving it 3 stars doesn't mean the album is boring, it means I am.
Tricky
3/5

So glad to share this Album I "must hear before I die" with 20.000 other Spotify listeners. It really had a big impact on music and my life before I died.
The Kinks
3/5
This reminds me of this one Beatles song.
Portishead
2/5
I respect the experimental sound, but I don't like it. It's fine, they had already a banger album, doing something different is the only logical step.
Common
3/5
The beats are nice
Miles Davis
2/5
Look, I've listened to this Album on a rainy day, while sipping some red wine and saying words like furthermore and still didn't enjoy it.

Sleater-Kinney
4/5
Punk in which the singer can actually sing? Well this is something I haven't heard before! If she could turn off the tremolo in her voice, I would have given this the missing star.

This is the kind of album which you start with arms crossed arms (and mind) and while listening to it you start moving the big toe. With every song you move more muscles and around the half I was dancing on my own at home.

There is one random hit inside a strange album. The name of the album on the other hand is the real hit for me 10/10

The way this man treats the inmates with such respect and honesty while doing a great live show makes this one of the best live albums in my opinion. And this from somebody who neither is American, nor close to a boomer nor listens to jonny cash outside of this list.

Today I decided to enter this Album with an open mind. Inspired from a reddit post I listened the first couple of songs trying to understand the essence of this music. And then this part happened. If you've listened to the album, you know what I mean. Noise, literal nonoise. No thanks.

This is like meeting a friend you haven't seen since kindergarden in the first week in college where everyone is super pretentious and you finally see a familiar face. Even though I haven't listened to this Album for a long time, I had a good time with it then and now.

I don't care what you say. There are people rating the most basic Brit- or american-pop albums 5/5 because it's the one they lost their virginity to. So I have all the rights in the world to rate this because it accompanied me in a time of many beginnings (apart of my sexual beginnings, those started much much later)
Missy Elliott
2/5
I have a huge respect for missy elliott, but I couldn't sing one song of hers and this Album reminds me why. Every song sounds fire, but the second it finishes I can't remember a single thing about it. If anyone asks me I will say I've never heard supa dupa fly

I mean it's nice to listen to, but what the hell is this Album doing in this list/book?
Eminem

Eminem is a single god. Literally every album has at least one or two songs that are pure masterclass. But somehow I have difficulties listening to a whole album of his. Maybe we should have put the best-of album in the list, this would have been an easy 5/5

I didn't enjoy it at all, but literally just having an album which is not from the US or UK makes me want to give this 5 stars. I will settle somewhere in the middle, but not without repeating that there should be more international albums!

Usually I wait until the end until I rate an album, but there is no need in this case since there is nothing that can redeem the first 4 songs. One star for the beats, that are actually nice

I'm torn because I really enjoyed this album, but at the same time it's a shame that from all the albums that came out in 2012 it has to be a british rock-album. If there is something this lists doesnt need it's more rock in english. Anyways, like I said, I really liked the album, so I will rate it well, I just wanted to leave this for the protocol!

A concept is not an album. I share the understanding of importance regarding racism, oppression and inequality but didn't feel anything with this album. I know it was not made for me nor my bubble of white non-american guys, but this feels more like a statement from the author than the appreciation of black music.
Kate Bush
3/5
Surprised about how little I cared about the first half and how much I enjoyed the second of the album.

It's a decent album to listen to when you're staring out of the window. On the other hand there are hundred better albums for this purpose alone. Could it at least not have been british?

Well this was unexpected. I am more impressed by the fact that this album came out in 1966 than by the sound itself, but I am willing to admit to be glad to have heard this before I died

When there's a random 1974 album I dont know and I dont like, I say to myself "well you should have been there to understand it". But in 2008 I was alive and had a more or less functioning cortex and let me tell you, this Album is NOT worth enduring random 70 music. But well, maybe I have to be british to understand it.
