Excellent debut
Good

Not an easy listen. Probably lives up to its accolades but requires multiple listens and I'm not willing given the 1000 other albums I have to hear.
Not good.
That was surprising. Enjoyed it.
Ok

Steely Dan's most consistent album.
That was surprising.
Good.
Not particularly enjoyable. The definition of vanilla.
Not my cup of java.
Enjoyable. Never really listened to Beck before.
I guess I'm not a punk fan. Why is anybody?
Not bad.
God. There I said it.
Didn't quite get it.
I just don't get reggae.
Wore me down. Really began to enjoy this after a second listening.
Do the hair bands represent the nadir of good music? This album makes a strong case for such proposition.
I've been told that this is the Revolver, the Beggar's Banquet, the Who's Next, the Led Zeppelin IV of heavy metal. I don't see it.
To give a love You've gotta live a love I really need a maid.
I can't give anything David Byrne does a 1, but I was really tempted.
So good.
Lost the Grammy to Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard. That alone makes this a 5.
I've seriously listened to music since 1971 but never listened to this album and never been much of a Hendrix fan. Now that I've listened to Electric Ladyland I'm happy I made both decisions 53 years ago.
What a great album. Who knew?
I really don't like Metallica. I kinda wish I did given the reviews of people whose tastes I respect. Sadly, after And Justice for All finished, Spotify played Would? by Alice In Chains and I thought to myself "Finally."
Surprise.
BUNK.
I didn't think the Love Boat theme could serve as a template for an entire album. I guess I should never underestimate the inventiveness of true artists.
I always found this album to be the definition of ponderous. I prefer their pop efforts with a touch of pondering; y'know, like Eat a Peach or their first album.
Assuming the lead vocalist is the principal songwriter, this album clearly shows how much better John Lennon was than Paul McCartney as a songwriter/artist. Back in the USSR, Blackbird, I Will (sorta), Mother Nature’s Son, Helter Skelter, were good but the rest of McCartney’s compositions were pap. Compare his output to Dear Prudence, Glass Onion, Happiness Is a Warm Gun, I’m So Tired, Yer Blues, Everybody’s Got Something to Hide, Sexy Sadie, and Revolution 1, and it’s no contest. McCartney was good at novelty and a catchy tune and that added to the Beatles popularity and influence. But Lennon made the Beatles transcendent. Even the two song where Lennon and McCartney share lead vocals – both of which are very good – Birthday [McCartney with Lennon] and Cry Baby Cry [Lennon with McCartney] reveal Lennon’s superior talent. Hell, on this album Harrison’s contributions were more significant than McCartney’s.
Metal tolerance exceeded. Chelation, please.
I used to be ambivalent about Nick Cave. Now I hate him. Four albums? Pardon me while I blow my brains out.
Jeeze that was good. First 5 I've given to an album that I knew absolutely nothing about.
Perfection? Sure.
