The album was okay, this not usually a genre I listen to, but it has some good tracks; besides Hey Ya!
I do like the infusion of 70s funk and rock mixed with hip-hop.
I like Beck's work for the most the part. I just felt that this album was underwhelming.

In it's entirety, it's not a bad album. Tracks such as "Time" and "9th and Hennepin" were good; however, I've felt that Tom Wait's voice is definitely an acquired taste.

Good album, primarily a lot of Bob Dylan covers. I can see myself returning to a few of these tracks.
I enjoyed this album. There was still that bluesy sound, but each song was crafted in a way that is unique.
This was okay, maybe two or three were worth listening to a second time. However did not know that the track, Cactus, was originally by The Pixies. I was first introduced to that song on David Bowie's album, Heathen.

Meh, I found this album to be rather bland.
Despite the track, 'Our House,' the album was okay.
First one star rating. "Welcome to the Jungle" is okay, but not even that's a redeeming quality to save it from a low score. The rest of the album just sounds really generic, and many of the tracks are so overplayed on the radio that I just get sick of them.

Unique, there were a few songs that caught my attention.
This was okay, I think a couple of the stronger tracks are "Viva Las Vegas," which a cover (but another, grittier take). And then "California Über Alles". The rest just sort of fell flat for me.

I'm not usually the biggest fan of hip-hop, but this was a great album. Tracks such as "Manchild" and "The Next Generation" were a couple that stood out for me.
I've never really been the biggest fan of Kings of Leon, this album definitely backs this statement up. I felt each track sounded very similar to the last, making my listening experience rather boring. Not to mention, I cannot stand the frontman's vocals; it sounds as if he's screaming with a bunch of marbles in his mouth.
Long story, short, this album is just a bunch of distorted noise.
I'm giving this two stars, instead of one, for the purpose that while I think this is a cringe-worthy album (lyrics especially), it certainly does have its audience. That audience being teenage boys between the ages of thirteen and fifteen; I am not among that demographic.
While I felt that the overall sound was melodic, I thought this album was rather underwhelming.
I think there's a couple good tracks off this album, such as She-Bop and Time After Time. Her vocals on rest of the list were just annoying.
Maybe 10-15 years ago I would have felt differently about this album; as I initially bought the CD around that time. But I think this doesn't deserve more than two stars as I listen to it again in my 30s.

The track, "Style," is solid though; the opening track, "Welcome To New York," however, seems to be poorly written. It made my facial expression cringe upon listening.
The guitar playing is great, not a fan of the vocal screeching. The songwriting is mediocre at best.

Couldn't get through the whole album, as it was very lackluster. Nothing on this album provided interest enough to keep listening.
Overall, the album was okay. There were a few beautifully written tracks that stood out, such as "The Queen and The Soldier," "Freeze Tag," and "Straight Lines."
The rest didn't evoke much feeling from me. Most likely won't put this album in my regular rotation.

As far as The Byrd's go, Sweetheart Of The Rodeo is not my favorite album of theirs. The country-twang style is sort of blah; each track was similar to one another.
I've read a lot of reviews that have given Adams a lower rating based off all the sexual harassment allegations against him; I had look this up myself, as I was unaware, and just curious in general. Although I don't condone this type of behavior, I'm not going to factor this into my review, which is still low regardless. I honestly felt like this album was just "meh," purely lazy songwriting on Adam's part, not to mention, boring melodies.
Before I listened to this album, I saw several one star reviews (which, I don't understand); I mean it's all opinion, and that's fine. However, personally I don't feel like this album is so terrible that it warrants a one star, at least I would give it three stars. I do like the blend of folk with the alternative 80s synth, it's rather unique. What keeps me from giving it any more than three stars is that each song sounds similar to one another; in a sense, you could say it lacks variety.
Tracks: "Fine For Now" and "About Face" have a nice, chill seventies vibe. The rest of the album wasn't bad, but wasn't enough to warrant a five star rating.

Great album, the only preventing me from giving this a full five stars is that I'm not the biggest fan of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." I've heard this track being played one too many times on the air, that I can't bear to hear this anymore.

Giving this two stars, as there are a couple tracks that are decent such as "My Girls" and "Summertime Clothes." The rest infuse together to create a distorted representation of ambience, not smooth relaxing kind, but one that creates a sense of anxiousness.
Tom Waits is an acquired taste. I honestly can't get past his vocals. In addition, the production style wasn't pleasing to my ears.
Giving this album two stars instead of one, as I think he is a good song writer. My qualms are with vocals and technical stuff.

Boring
This album is an "experience?" to say the least. I don't hate it, but I also won't go out of my way to listen to it regularly.
I like the instrumentals better than the vocals and lyrics.
The track, "Partition," is not bad. I like the beat.
Not my favorite Bowie album, but even a sub-par Bowie album is still rather decent.
Some highlighted tracks, in my opinion, are: Valentine's Day, and The Next Day.
