Fire from front to back! Classic Hip Hop album. I've heard it a hundred times and I'll listen 100 more.

25 by Adele

It's a solid outing by Adele (as expected). 25 is a good pop album, but it's really nothing special. I will gladly listen to it on line, but it's not one I would purchase on vinyl.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone

Classic album of the times. I only knew a couple tracks, but it grew on me the deeper I got into it. I appreciate it for what it is.

A Rush Of Blood To The Head by Coldplay

I'm not a Coldplay guy, so meh. Did I know a lot of the songs? Yeah, but it's a Coldplay album.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin

I own this album, so I already know it's great. It's an absolute banger!

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince

It's Prince. I haven't heard it in a long time. It'll make the rotation more.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones

It's a good Stones album; not my favorite, but good. Blues, rock unoffending background music.

Peter Gabriel 3 by Peter Gabriel

Some early New Wave, World music. He always seemed very experimental to me.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel

I know a lot more songs in this than I thought. It's a good mellow, acoustic album. Not a go out and but, but one you won't turn off when it's played. It's a quick listen.

Bubble And Scrape by Sebadoh

I've never heard of them before, but now I know. Really not a fan. It's chaotic and random at times. There was some resemblance of The Violent Femmes, but overall I'll pass.

A classic Southern Hip Hop album. There are so many good tracks!

That's some world music right there. It was good background music while driving. There were a couple songs that peaked my interest, but it's nothing great.

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode

Even growing up in the 80's I wasn't big into Depeche Mode then, and I'm still not. I appreciate it for what it is, but this is certainly not what I would choose to play.

The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees

British rock that has a punk flavor to it. Noise rock would probably be the best way to describe it. I didn't mind it, but I'm not risking it to buy it.

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba

Legit African music. The was a little blend of Eastern music in some songs though. All in all, not terrible, but it's not getting you going in the morning.

Bummed by Happy Mondays

Good tunes. It reminded me of INXS throughout it. It doesn't end how it started.

It was good, but much more chill than I expected. It's no Odelay.

Le Tigre by Le Tigre

A mix of pop and punk. That female lead singer is either really getting after it or not chill...mostly getting after it. It's give it 3.5 if I could, but I'll round up.

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits

I didn't know what to expect, but it was quite good. It gave me the Dr John's Gumbo vibe. The whole New Orleans Blues vibe.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads

Wonderful album. I love "Psycho Killer"! This made me realize I don't listen to enough Talking Heads.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's

A wonderful instrumental album. I really enjoyed the blend rock, blues, funk, and soul. It hits all the right buttons.

Either Or by Elliott Smith

It wasn't anything exciting, but it was good. I can see why it was critically acclaimed; the writing is good. It didn't blow me away, but I appreciated it.

Metallica by Metallica

Brilliant! It's such a great album. I can't count the number of times I've jammed to this.

I feel like I've heard this before, but I'm not certain. This is a very good alt rock/emo album. It's hitting pretty good for a Friday afternoon. Low key and mellow beats coming out of this English band.

Sheer Heart Attack by Queen

It's Queen, so it's incredible. Probably one of their least commercial albums; there are a couple single hits on it, but overall, a great listen.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Great alt rock album. It hits all those spots you want in this genre, and just as impressive in 2023 as it was in 2009.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley

I grew up on Elvis thanks to my mom. This album hit the nice spot between his early career and strung out Vegas Elvis of the '70's. It showcases the Blues and Soul that were such an inspiration to him.

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones

There is a lot of old Delta Blues type of songs on here mixed with some that clearly have a Chuck Berry influence. There are a bunch of good songs, but I don't think it's their best work. They hadn't come into their own yet.

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu

Nope. Quite frankly I'm tired of all the post punk experimental/noise rock that's been showing up. FFS, there are different genres, and if I'm being honest, better genres.

Live 1966 (The Royal Albert Hall Concert) by Bob Dylan

I respect Dylan as a songwriter, but the actual album is just alright. It was good background music for the morning.

Abbey Road by Beatles

Amazing album by an amazing band. It's The Beatles...come on.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons

Nothing great. It wasn't terrible, but I want overly impressed. I think the album got better towards the end.

Arrival by ABBA

Abba is always a fun listen. This album is the essence of that era and good representation of Abba's work.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire

It was an enjoyable and satisfying album. Nothing special, but I was happy not to get another punk album.

The Infotainment Scan by The Fall

Hey, guess what... another post punk album. I will say the first song has a catchy bass line. It carries through the album and is what sucks out to me. I can't hate in this one.

Take Me Apart by Kelela

This was a nice R&B. I could pick up where Kelela found her inspiration in many songs. All in all, it was very enjoyable.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths

Hard pass on this album. It's a synth rock,emo, Depeche Mode vibe. The singer seems to be a whiney complaining bitch. It didn't keep my attention at all; however, the political statement of this album wasn't lost on me.

People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm by A Tribe Called Quest

Brilliant and very influential. Great use of smooth beats, samples, and intelligent lyrics. There's even a nice sampling of some early go hope scratching. This is a great album was a smooth flow

Parallel Lines by Blondie

This was a good album to drive to on Saturday morning. Very enjoyable up to the end. I didn't know more songs than I knew, but it was classic Blonde.

Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor by Lupe Fiasco

Serious Kanye vibes on this album. It's a good album that I really enjoyed, but it's nothing groundbreaking.

Moon Safari by Air

This has a really good Jazz vibe to it that I want expecting. When I saw French electronic music, I was anticipating more of a rave or dance vibe. It's been a pleasant morning listen.

Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim by Frank Sinatra

You can't go wing with Frank. Wonderful album! It made me want to sit back and chill with a cocktail.

Lady In Satin by Billie Holiday

It's different than summer of the other albums I've heard of hers. It seems more delicate and kinda has a different vibe from her earlier recordings. Billie has such a great voice. She could sing nursery rhymes and if be good with it.

Get Rich Or Die Tryin' by 50 Cent

Coming hard on to the national rap stage. It's enjoyable and I played the eff out of it back in the day. G-unit! There are some bangers that still hit twenty years later. I don't know if many modern hip hop artist will be able to say the same.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa

Totally not what I expected. This is a super Jazzy album with some Funk laced in there. Was Funk a thing in 1969? This one's going in my favorites.

Tom Tom Club by Tom Tom Club

This was a pleasant surprise. I didn't know what to expect, but the fun 80s vibes flowed through this album. The first track reminded me of De La Soul, which was cool. It did get a little repetitive though.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake

It wasn't a bad album, but it certainly wasn't inspiring. More than I've I thought of turning it off because I was bored with it. It gets a solid, meh.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers

I really enjoy Bob Marley, and this album was no exception. Great work as expected.

Destroyer by KISS

Kiss isn't the most technical or sophisticated band, but they're entertaining AF! This is definitely one of their best products.

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke

Rock n Soul is a great title and captures what this album is. It's quintessential early '60s

In Rainbows by Radiohead

Pretty good alt rock album. It was an easy listen for someone who's not a big Radiohead fan. I like alt rock, so there's that. Nothing profound to say about it other than it was good.

Ace of Spades by Motörhead

Bringing the metal! I feel like this was one of the first in the '80's metal movement. I can't help but think of Guitar Hero when I hear Motorhead.

Opus Dei by Laibach

WTF did I just listen to? I can't decide if I liked it or not. Either way, it was really intense

Spy Vs. Spy: The Music Of Ornette Coleman by John Zorn

That's to much random Jazz for my liking. I get it; it's Jazz, but it's not the type I enjoy. It comes at you hard right out the gate.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys

This is an all time classic album. Beach Boys paving there way for surgery rock. All around great.

The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn by Pink Floyd

I'm going to take a pass on this Pink Floyd album. I like the band, but let's just say, I'm glad they got better. This album just didn't do it for me.

It's a great album, and probably my favorite from U2.

Truth And Soul by Fishbone

This album touched on a lot of different genres. It scratches a lot of itches. Fishing is a very versatile group. I'm glad I was introduced to them.

Yeah, no. The first couple songs were just alright, but the deeper cuts kinda sucked IMO.

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas

More obscure British rubbish. There is far better music coming out of the UK. Honestly the last couple songs of the album were the best.

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals

Not a bad listen. It wasn't getting breaking or mind blowing, but it was alright. Just middle of the road Alt Rock.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder

Phenomenal album, but I knew that going into it. Stevie is timeless.

I'm not a big fan of "new wave", but this album is very nostalgic, so I really enjoy it. I like a solid female group.

Brown Sugar by D'Angelo

Some solid R&B delivered by D'Angelo. This still bangs almost 30 years later. It's a great mix of R&B, Soul, and Jazz back beats.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival

I'm not one to gravitate to CCR; they are just a little too rockabilly, but this is probably my favorite album of theirs. It's solid front to back, and different than a lot of the music at the time.

Quiet Life by Japan

I'm impressed that this is from 1979. Sounds more like more mud 80s. I have come to realize that New Wave just isn't my jam.

Who's Next by The Who

Definitely their best album front to back IMO. Warm up your vocal cords because you'll be singing along.

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic

The guitar work on this album is phenomenal! Great rock album.

Rip It Up by Orange Juice

Pleasantly surprised. I was not thrilled to see more Post-punk, but I enjoyed these guys.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen

As the title states, this is dark. An artist's final words at the end of a long career. Ugh.

I've always enjoyed The B-52's. High energy and fun.

Machine Head by Deep Purple

It was a better album than I expected before looking at the track list. I'm not savvy on Deep Purple, but I knew and enjoyed every song.

I grew up with this album. Absolutely love it! Hits from front to back. Definitely my favorite Beastie Boys album.

Don't Stand Me Down by Dexys Midnight Runners

It was pretty good. It didn't make me jump up and down with excitement to listen to it, but my ears weren't offended.

It was right up there with every other early '90's rock band that wasn't doing Grunge. Nothing extraordinary IMO. Good, but there no WOW factor.
