Really torn on this one. I try not to rate 3s because it's a cop out. Most times its not to hard to grade it 2 or 4 overall but this one has songs all over the place. For 1995 it's not quite a genre busting or novel record, but it has its moments. I think this one is saved by Martina Topley-Bird's collab, the best songs feature her at her best!

I don't think this album as a whole is particularly notable aside from the fact it made Britney a global commodity, largely on the back of one music video. It's manufactured bubblegum pop and reflective of what sold records at the time, nothing more.

British, minimal plays, but currently touring and the album is from within the last decade! Amazing. Some of these songs really resonate and I thoroughly enjoyed the listen. I'm disappointed she's not big enough to be touring the North America Folk Fest scene!
