Cash's rendition of Hurt will always remain a classic as it showed his more vulnerable side towards the end of his life. Hung My Head is also another excellent cover on the album. Apart from that, I wasn't blown away by much else on an album full of covers

Loved the experimental sound!
Incredible listen. Love all the different styles the Talking Heads put into each track
I can hear the influence this album had on artists that came after Drake, but this won’t be one I’ll be listening again.
I grew up listening to this kind of indie rock in this time period. While I don't dislike the album, I'm failing to recognize how this album stands out among the other lo-fi, garage rock albums of the era. Good album, but not among the 1001 must listens of all time.
Was never much into Pink Floyd, but after listening to this album twice today I have a newfound appreciation for them
Only Thin Lizzy from “The Boys Are Back in Town”. This live album showcased so much more of their work and talent. Loved the energy to this one
This album was one long brown note. Maybe I would have enjoyed it if it was a 90s London Warehouse rave and I was high
first album in this generator experience that I got that I have a history with. One that has had a profound effect on me and my musical tastes. Chicago is just a classic song from this album. Casmir Pulaski day and predatory wasp bring me to tears no matter how many times I listen to it. John Wayne Gacy leaves me uneasy. Man of Metroplis just makes me want to rock out. There’s a song for everyone on this record. But when put all together it leaves you with a dynamic, fun, tear jerking 1 hour and 14 minutes. So glad this album was included on this list.
For the longest time I had The River as my favorite Bruce album. After listening to this twice today I remembered just how incredible this album is. Easy 5/5 for me
This album stands the test of time by still being relevant 31 years later. I won’t do what you tell me!
The bass lines on this album were insane
15 years ago I would have rated this 5 stars. Truly is a work of art. However, being unable to separate the art from the artist, MBDTF gets two stars. A star was added to the rating to take into account the artistry of the album, but Ye’s past work doesn’t get a pass from me for his hurtful and idiotic comments today.
