The success of this album was mostly carried by the popularity of the single Bawitdaba. There are plenty of other better rap/rock and Nu-Metal albums from this time that are more deserving to be on this list. So I can't even see this being added to represent a genre at a certain time like some albums. Overall this album is a lot of empty bravado over prominent guitar riffs. I was 10 When this came out remember how popular it was in middle school. Maybe I'm being too hard on it by associating with that age range but the album comes off as very immature. Reminds me too much about middle school kids trying to be hard with fake bragging about about not being afraid of cops while doing drugs and getting women. The favorite track was only picked because it seemed to have a lower amount of bragging than the others.

It's disco and I just can't get into it. This was a bit more mild on the parts of disco I dislike and the singing was good. Which helped the score not be lower.
Good album and I love story telling lyrics.
A beautiful album that pulls you in at the beginning and keeps you there the whole time. Experiencing a unique album.
One of the most influential rap albums of all time and still holds up great. Great rapper that is wonderful at telling stories with great delivery.
A wonderful jazz album from start to finish. Carries you along with it.
A really good folk rock with some electric rock album that holds up well.
Just didn't appeal to me as much as other jazz albums I've heard through top album list. When I Grow Too Old to Dream and Messy Bessie were the two I liked the most.
It's The Police. Everyone knows them. I've never really heard anything by them that made me want to give in deeper. Even a hit song like Message in a Bottle. The reggae influence might be part of what makes this a classic album but I think it just sounds like two genres of music and neither are being done well.
It's like every time they have a good song and hook they make the song an extra 5 minutes long until you don't like it anymore.
Heavy on the instrumentals. I know they were revolutionary at the time but not something I feel holds up great.
The funk influence in the rock is good at first but a lot of the songs sound the same.
Noticeable improvement in the music and Janis Joplin goes a lot harder this time. Fantastic album.
Industrial rock with all the harsh sounds of power tools and whatever else could be found. The punk rock influences make it better than you would expect if you don't like industrial music.
Very smooth music that is great for making babies to. It's not weighed down by styles of it's time compared to some other neo soul music of the 90s.
When Maps first came out it so overplayed I got sick of it. After awhile of not hearing it i was able to enjoy it again. This was just a really good album. Chaotic in the best ways and contrast her softer voice well.
Pleasantly surprised with this album. All good songs. I actually knew two of them despite not recognizing the artist name. This is very similar to the catchy pop country style that was dominant in the 90s without being overly produced like a lot of them.
One of the first albums I fell in love with and still my favorite Green Day album to this day. One of the main bands that shaped my music taste as a kid with Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found Glory, and The Offspring.
Typically long songs and lack of vocals make it harder for me to get into a song. Though they do such a wonderful job creating an atmosphere I see why they are still so popular to this day.
A rock ballad starting it off then more traditional songs. It was enjoyable and worth a listen but I don't think it's something I'll go back to.
A perfect album from start to finish. Deep and catchy. Rap with funk and neo soul influences. All great tracks but The Seed (2.0) is one of my favorite songs of all time. I just come back to it again and again over the years.

Somewhere between The Beatles and punk rock gets you this classic by Iggy Pop. Energetic and catchy without a skip on it.
He continues to impress me with some of the best jazz I've ever heard.
Go to any thread about times a cover was better than the original and you'll see Hurt as one of the most mentioned songs and for good reason. This is a phenomenal album by one of the greatest artist of all time at the end of his life putting everything he had into it.
This still had that old style of rapping that I normally wouldn't care but it was well used and musically this album is incredible. It holds up extremely well.
It's like a journey into a space type fantasy world. Worth a listen but won't revisit it much.
Maybe it's because I grew up with the children's movies he sung on but I just can't take this seriously. When I picture the scenarios he is singing about I see Woody and other characters from Toy Story.

Every song in this album is great. One of those rare albums that still holds up nearly 50 years later. Movin' Out is always going to be one of my favorites by him but Just the Way You Are, Vienna, Only the Good Die Young, and She's Always a Woman were strong contenders for favorite song off the album.
Maps may be their signature song; but this felt like a better album overall. I don't know if I'm getting use to their style or if it really is just less chaotic. I'll have to listen to both this and Fever to Tell a few more times to figure out which one I liked more.
I wanted to like this and this style was copied from this guy so much it sounds generic. It's even called the Ray Price Beat. Unfortunately this album just felt so long. Small doses would have been fine but even at only 37 minutes it felt a lot longer.
It was pretty boring and felt more like they were going for a sound rather than it coming naturally. It's like it's the sound they thought they should be doing, not the one they wanted.
Jazz with Latin influence. Slow but not as nice a smooth jazz. I prefer more chaotic jazz. This was pretty boring. Feels more like elevator music.
