Great album. Feels contemporary in so many ways.

A few good singles - but repetitive in the extreme.
Feels so dated now. Misogyny was more on trend back then…
On the whole it’s forgettable songs. That said, it’s dated well. 3.25/5
Can describe it in two words (not perjoritively!) - easy listening! 3.75/5
Actually enjoyed this more than I expected when it started. Fun and vulgar, funny in places. Full of fury, and mainly, signifying nothing.
Really enjoyed listening to this whilst in a run. Not listened to it for years and years - was better than I remembered.
Loved this.
I’m no jazz expert, but enjoyed this a lot.
3.5/5
Of the rap I’ve had so far, I musically enjoyed this one the most - although still have the same issues with the misogyny and immaturity.
I found this to be really forgettable - the music played but none of it had any impact - positive, negative or otherwise! It's not bad - just, well, meh!
Much better than I was expecting.
One of my favourite albums of all time - vivid memories of listening to it for the first time on cd.
Really solid album - with some great songs.
Didn't impact on me in the way that Monk and Mingus did, but an enjoyable listed and music that I imagine needs to be heard and seen live to be properly appreciated. 3.75/5
Not for me. Not a fan of his voice and country is not my favourite style.
Some real quality in there, but some dross as well. The edited version would be 👌🏻
Loved this! What a voice! Beautiful writing. I’m never sure why JA wasn’t a bigger star than she is?
Interesting. Some songs grated a little. 3.25
Seemed to be a bit obsessed with sexual violence!
More musically interesting than lyrically.
Great listen. I do find blues a little repetitive sometimes, but there was an infectious joy about this, probably as it’s live, that overrode that. 3.75
Includes one of the great covers of all time in ‘Hurt’. Cash’s voice is something else - it feels like his entire life is contained in each syllable.
Really loved this. Listened whilst walking the dog. Some brilliant singles, but more, just a beautiful album.
I love this. Brilliantly observed songs, fantastic lyrics and musically bounces along.
Didn’t really do much for me to be honest.
Really enjoyed the fusion of classic folk songs with the prog rock/folk vibes.
Opened strong, lost its way a little in the middle.
A lot of love for this album.
Love everything about this. Just a joyous example of musical genius.
Actually enjoyed this even more than ‘Brothers in Arms’ - so only one score really!
I’ve never been a U2 fan, but this album will make me listen to them a little more.
When you write and sound like this at 21, you know that there is a special talent there. Adele has an incredible voice and ability to convey emotion. This is, without doubt, a modern classic.
Really enjoyed this. Haven’t listened to it since I was a teenager and forgot how much fun it is.
Loved this album, and was not expecting to!
Not really my thing.
A relaxing listen!
Simply stunning.
Not a band I’ve listened to previously. Really enjoyed it.
This is a modern classic.
Joyous pop.
I enjoyed this more than I was expecting!
This sounds so ahead of its time - it's a shame it's not streaming outside of YouTube!
2.5
Totally forgot about this album, having listened to it a lot when it came out. Really enjoyed coming back to it.
Pop brilliance
I listened to this so many times as a teenager and it means something different to me, that I don’t think I can rate it anything other than a 5 (although it’s not really)

Just not my thing.
Not sure why this is on the list?
This captures the odd Empire facing, class obsessed, Britain of the late 60s and 70s brilliantly.
By repo was excited for this, but really failed to live up to what I’d expected.
A reminder of my childhood and first dance at our wedding.
Seriously loved this!
